Gort

month of October and the Samhain sabbat, Ivy often lives on after its host plant has died–a reminder to us that life goes on, in the endless cycle of life, death and rebirth.

In folklore from the British Isles, Ivy is believed to be a bringer of good fortune, particularly to women. Allowing it to creep up the walls of your home would protect inhabitants from baneful magic and curses. It also appears in love divination in parts of England; it was said that a girl carrying Ivy in her pockets would soon see the young man who was meant to be her husband. Medicinally, an Ivy tonic could be brewed to keep away diseases such as whooping cough and respiratory ailments It was even believed to keep away the plague, but there’s no clear evidence that this worked.

Gort Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: Banish the negative things from your life, and eliminate toxic relationships. Place a barricade of some sort between you and the things or people that would bring you down.

Magical Aspects: Look inward to find self-growth, but turn outward to find spiritual companionship with like-minded individuals. If you’ve thought about joining or forming a group of some sort, consider it well if Gort appears.

Ruis

Regret, pride, shame, embarrassment, learning from experience, resolution

Tree: Elder (Sambucus spp.)

Letter: R

Shame isn’t all bad and does not deserve a uniformly awful reputation. Without shame and the fear of being shamed, every human child would be demonically bratty. Shame is a limit that informs us to keep our own ego in check. It is often about considering others. Having shame about one’s own past behavior is motivation to avoid shameful behaviors such as cheating and stealing.

Shame is an emotion that demands confrontation. All too often, people run away from what shames them, attempt to excuse themselves from wrongful or immoral behavior because they’re too cowardly to face what they have done or to admit their responsibility in causing their own misfortunes or the misfortune of others. Ruis indicates a willingness to face one’s own shame and to do with shame what it was meant for, and that is to use shame of the past to build oneself into a better person for the present and future. Ashamed of something you did? How can you make yourself into the type of person who would never even think of doing something like that? Overcome being the type of person who would engage in the shameful behavior and you become the master of it; you won’t have the remotest chance of repeating such a mistake. Did you become embarrassed because you did something you now understand to be greedy? Then learn to balance thriftiness with generosity. Adjust to the circumstance rather than overreacting to it. Are you ashamed about cheating on a boyfriend/girlfriend or spouse? Become a person who would never cheat on your boyfriend/girlfriend or spouse regardless of conditions, which could mean an assortment of outcomes: sticking to a resolution of no cheating and staying together, admitting one’s sexual preferences and going with the flow, changing the person you are with, or being single for a long time.

Because humans tend to remember negative experiences more easily than positive ones, it’s important when you draw Ruis to acknowledge the things you are not ashamed of about yourself. For every bad or shameful thing you’ve done, remember there are a thousand shameful things you avoided. Maybe it is time to appreciate the places you could have gone horribly wrong and did not.

“Indulge your creative, imaginative, and magical side through some form of artistic expression”

Whatever the artist vehicle through which you express your most creative self — whether it’s drawing, poetry, painting, music, acting or any other form of creative expression — make it a priority in your life by devoting some time, energy, and perhaps even money toward this artistic pursuit. Let the longing of your heart determine what the form of your imaginative expression is, but let it be one that elicits passion, and purpose. Allow it to evoke as needed, without acceding to any internal perfectionism about the end product. The process itself is where the magic is. Let that alone be your satisfaction and delight you’ll be pleased with the results.

Whether this avocation continues as a hobby or turns into something you receive compensation for, never do it solely for the money. There’s need to act out the starving artist scenario, but when you make monetary rewards your primary goal, you risk stifling the creative pulse that emanates from the core of who you are, potentially comprising the integrity of your artistic gift to the world. Should you ever be uncertain about following your passion with this kind of expression, take some time to observe children. Notice how innocently and imaginatively the play in their world, particularly when unhindered by social restrictions and artificial boundaries. The is a reflection of the magical child who’s inside you, begging to explore and be expressed. So have fun!

Fearn/Fern

F is for Fearn or Fern, which is associated with the Alder tree. The Alder is representative of the evolving spirit. Connected with the month of March and the spring equinox, Alder is the symbol of Bran in Celtic mythology. In The Mabinogion, Bran laid himself across a river as a bridge so that others might cross–likewise, the Alder bridges that magical space between earth and the heavens. It is also associated with oracular powers–Bran’s head was an oracle in legend.

Alders are often found in swampy, boggy areas, and conveniently, their wood doesn’t rot when it gets wet. In fact, if left to soak in water, it becomes hardened. This came in handy when early Britons were building strongholds in bogs. The city of Venice, Italy, was originally built upon piles of Alder wood. Once it’s dry, though, Alder tends to be less than durable.

Fearn Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: Keep in mind that you are an individual… but so is everyone else. When you look at someone, see the unusual which makes them themselves–and allow them to see that uniqueness in you. Be a mediator, a bridge, between people who may be having a disagreement.

Magical Aspects: Follow your instinct. Others will turn to you for advice and counsel during spiritual disagreements, and it’s your job to be the mediator and voice of reason.

Yet they are only shifts of perspective and attitude that bring clarity.

Dragonfly

Dragonfly Totem – The Spiritual Meaning

Dragonfly Spirit Animal is an important animal totem in many cultures. To most of Europe, they represent evil. No doubt due to the nasty bite they deliver should you offend him. Japanese people love the dragonfly totem. The Navajo of the Native Americans recognizes them as a symbol of pure water and swiftness and activity.

Certainly, it is worth noting that the dragonfly starts their lives in nymph form. They then become the more familiar form that flies through the air later in their lives.

Dragonfly Associated Traits

Transformation, adaptability, lightness, joy, emotions, hidden self, purity, speed, wisdom, and enlightenment.

Does the Dragonfly Spirit Animal Signify Good Luck?

The Dragonfly totem signifies that soon things will work out for the better in your life. You will be free to do the things that you bring you joy. Do not allow any challenges to put you down because you are better than that. Always want the best for yourself and the people in your life.

This animal totem wants you to express free will in everything you do. Do not hold yourself back from achieving your highest potential. The meaning of the Dragonfly emphasizes the need to be true to yourself. Never live a dishonest life if you want to make great things manifest in your life.

Always express your true feelings, and you will live a great life. Do not listen to people that tell you that you cannot make it. You have all that it takes to change your life for the better and live positively. The Dragonfly is an ally you need to have in your corner. This animal totem will enable you to get rid of all the negatives in your life.

Dragonfly Animal Totem Meaning

Dragonfly spirit animal is a symbolic creature of two realms. It symbolizes the emotional realm of water and the intellectual realm of air. Therefore, Dragonfly totem animal carries two Karmic lessons for us.

The first lesson is that of water, calling us to celebrate our joy and emotions. Similarly, it tells us to live in them with great passion and depth. The lesson of air calls us to temper them with emotion and bring them into balance. Dragonfly dances on the winds of change, comfortable in his ever-changing environment.

So what does it mean if you see a dragonfly? Well, it is a powerful lesson. Unlike rat, which adapts to the situation while remaining Rat, Dragonfly totem reminds us that life is ever-changing. Also, it shows that it will sometimes call on us to change as well. As such, the transformation of Dragonfly can call for complete metamorphosis.

As such, if a Dragonfly visits you, it is a call for a great period of change in your life. It is a reminder that old habits are haunting your decisions. Come out of your Nymph stage. Ideally, it may not be time to grow up, but it’s time to change who and what we are.

Know also that Dragonfly as a spirit guide has great vision. The time may come when the mists that hang over the deep waters of life are almost more than you can navigate.

The mists hide everything, disguise what we know, and make it difficult to see our clear path. As the Dragonfly meaning suggests, it understands these waters. It has lived its whole life in these waters, so let it guide you.

Love and The Dragonfly Spirit Animal

Dragonfly animal totem is more in touch with your emotional state. It is a sign that you need to prepare your heart to receive love. You need love in your life if you want to live wholly, peacefully, and happily. Reveal your true self to the world if you want to attract the right kinds of romantic energies.

Do not focus much on the things that happened to you in the past. Forget about past hurts and open yourself up to receiving the right kind of love. With the Dragonfly power animal, you do not need to pretend to be someone you are not. Be your genuine self, and the right kind of love will eventually come your way.

Dragonfly symbolism reveals that you can be ready to go through great metamorphosis when it comes to heart matters. Do not hold yourself back from going after the things that make you happy.

Positive and Negative Traits of the Dragonfly Totem

You should be proud of the trait of the Dragonfly totem that brings out your compassionate side. Always be compassionate and kind to the people around you. Show them love and do all that you can to help where possible. You possess a kind heart; therefore, you are incapable of turning a blind eye on people in need.

You are a great inspiration to people who want to grow spiritually. Help such people stay on the right spiritual path and always lift them up when they stumble and fall. The Dragonfly is light and free, and so are you. Always bounce back amid challenges and reclaim your life.

The Dragonfly meaning on the negative side means being too attached and feeling too deeply to the extent that you hurt yourself. It is good that you are connected to your emotions, but you should not let them control you.

Dragonfly Spirit Animal: Conclusion

Seeing Dragonfly totem is a sign that you need to have a new perspective in life. Do the things that make you happy and change your life for the better. Always be willing to make the best out of your life. Challenges will come and go, but you should remain strong and steadfast. Get out of your comfort zone and have new experiences in life.

Look at the bigger picture in life and focus on becoming great. You are great, and know that you possess great talents and gifts that will enable you to create the life you want. Look to the spiritual meaning of the Dragonfly to take off the blinders in your life.

Tinne or Teine

T stands for Tinne, or Teine, the Holly tree. This evergreen plant is connected to immortality, unity, courage, and the stability of hearth and home. Pronounced chihnn-uh by the Celts, the wood of the Holly was often used in the construction of weapons, and is known as a plant of warriors and protectors.

In the pre-Christian British Isles, the Holly was often associated with protection–planting a hedge around your home would keep malevolent spirits out, thanks in no small part to the sharp spikes on the leaves. In Celtic myth, the concept of the Holly King and the Oak King symbolizes the changing of the seasons, and the transition of the earth from the growing time to the dying season.

When Christianity moved into the Celtic lands, the new religion associated the Holly plant with the story of Jesus. The poky spikes on the leaves represent the crown of thorns worn by Jesus on the cross, and the bright red berries symbolize his blood.

Tinne Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: Hang a sprig of Holly in your home to protect your family in your absence. Soak the leaves in spring water under a full moon, and then use the water as a blessing for people or items you wish to protect. There is strength to be found in standing together, and ultimately protection comes from honor and trust.

Magical Aspects: Develop the ability to respond quickly and wisely to your intuition. Learn to overcome and adapt to new situations, and to respond immediately to changes in your spiritual environment. Trust your instinct, but don’t let your heart rule over your head.

Hexagram Five/5

Water Over Heaven Also called “Patience

Changing Lines in Hexagram #5

The lesson of hexagram number 5 is that good things come to those who wait. Patience requires both inner strength and a commitment to resist the temptation of acting prematurely. Often hardships will arise in the course of one’s time spent waiting. The message here is that those who endure these hardships, and “cross great streams” will emerge victorious. Do not be put off your path at this time.

(Side Note: Hexagram lines start at the bottom of the hexageram)

Changes in Line 1

“Waiting at the Field”

Patience is best exercised from a proper vantage point. Consider placing oneself in a position from where one can watch approaching events at a distance. Do not alter your daily routine, because there is much in it that will help you when events move more quickly.

Changes in Line 2

“Waiting by the Sea”

During tests of patience, it is easy to assume the worst. Such assumptions cause undue panic and grief and reduce one’s ability to think clearly and rationally. Remember that with patience comes perseverance. Do not be swayed by unwarranted fears of failure.

Changes in Line 3

“Waiting in the Marsh”

While waiting for events to happen, it is important to remain ready for action. Changes in this line represent a warning that things are not “at the ready” and your response may be too slow when the situation calls for action.

Changes in Line 4

“Waiting by Blood”

Changes in this line are a serious warning that you are not prepared for action that will soon be required of you. It is foolish to remain trapped in a position of weakness. You must urgently “climb out of the pit” you are in, and get yourself to a place where you are capable of action and change.

Changes in Line 5

“Waiting at the Feast”

Your perseverance brings good fortune, but the ultimate achievement still lies ahead. It is important to rest along the way. Enjoy the good things that life has to offer. You will need the strength for the challenge that still lies ahead.

Changes in Line 6

“Falling Down. / Visitors Arrive.”

There are two messages represented by this changing line: The first is a stern message that a serious failure is imminent. You stand at the edge of a pit, and it is quite sure that you will fall. The second message is more unusual: During your fall, “uninvited guests” will arrive. Treat them all well. For they are part of a larger plan that will help you immeasurably.

Description:

A headsman prepares himself for an execution. The landscape is bleak and forbidding. They boney hand of death reaches towards him.

Reading:

The death card indicates some radical change. Nothing stays the same forever, however much we wish that things were otherwise. Only through calm acceptance can we allow new growth to appear.

Reversed, it can signal that we are stubbornly refusing to embrace change. It’s time to accept what is gone is gone and to grieve that lost fully.

Generosity, discretion, beauty, subtlety, the occult, perception of abundance

Tree: Honeysuckle (Lonicera spp.)

Letter: P

The Ogham itself is like a bunch of ZIP files waiting to reveal itself to the patient and the thoughtful. Learning the secrets of magic is not a matter of coercion but instead a dedicated pursuit of perceiving subtle meanings and gently working with natural forces. The occult, as much as some people may want to imbue it with paranoid, ghastly images of blood sacrifice, merely means “the hidden”, meaning that which is not obvious and must be gleaned, sussed out, and pored over in order to understand.

Whether you are an occultist or not, it’s a good life strategy simply not to talk about every one of your inner thoughts and to censor yourself depending on who you are with. Some of your secrets never need to be known by anyone besides you, and that is OK. Honesty is often NOT the best policy, except with yourself when assessing your flaws and strengths.

As this Ogham connects with honeysuckle, it also ties in with the concept of generosity and the perception of abundance. The honeysuckle’s graceful, arching habit and profusion of sweetly-scented flowers provides nectar and shelter for many bugs and small animals.

Generosity is in no way the exclusive trait of the rich; in fact, the poor are notably more generous than the rich. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, people in the bottom 20 percent tend to give more than their capacity to give while Americans in the top 40 percent are capable of donating two or three times more than they actually give. Perhaps this is because the poorer you are, the more likely you are to have empathy you have for those who equally poor or poorer than you. Or perhaps this is because poor people are likely to appreciate the small abundances they have instead of hoarding and jealously standing in constant, miserable guard of their wealth like certain types of rich people. The elites at the pinnacle of modern monetary wealth are latter-day ogres: monsters who skulk in caves full of stolen gold coins, plundered weapons, and blood-crusted jewels. The perception of plenty often is one and the same as plenty, which is why having “lots of toys” has never been the path to happiness. Abundance has to come from somewhere, and one of the reasons some rich people are so unhappy and mentally disturbed these days is because many have spent lifetimes denying their own privilege while hoarding wealth that came from unfair consequences offloaded on those poorer than them and the ecosystem itself. Such “abundance” has a hefty karmic price, and it is as if the modern day rich ogres sense this and it quietly drives them mad.

The secret here is that generosity is a form of living by the golden rule. Give without fear and worry and you will always feel contented. Conversely, clinging greedily to material abundance and status symbols out of fear of not having enough ensures you will never feel you have enough, no matter how rich you become. Uilleand tells you to spread your generosity and to send your wealth back into the flow of nature. Give whatever you can. You’ll always have just enough. Uilleand is the perception of plenty: be generous with what you have and like will attract like.

Eight

What is the definition of 8 in Numerology?

Of all the numbers in Numerology, the number 8 is the achiever and measures life by the goals it reaches. It has good business sense, a powerful presence, and a strong drive for success. The 8 is also a symbol of balance — you can see it in its symmetrical shape. For every blessing it receives, it puts one back out to the universe. When things are balanced, they feel stable, controlled, and supported, which is the most productive environment for the 8 to work in.

In Chinese culture, the number 8 is considered the luckiest number of all, and is purposefully worked into wedding dates, birth dates, addresses, and finances. Even in the world of Numerology, there are people who have been known to change their name in order to add more 8s to their Numerology chart, hoping to emulate this number’s level of accomplishment. The 8 represents an ultimate form of achievement that many will spend their entire lives striving for.

Strengths

Ambitious: To say the 8 has ambition would be putting it lightly — they live to achieve! This number is on a mission to reach as many goals and garner as much success as possible. It is strategic in its methods and dedicated to its purpose. The good feelings that come from accomplishment give the 8 everything it needs to keep climbing upward.

Karmic: In a spiritual sense, the number 8 is all about giving back. It realizes that its successes are not its alone and will intentionally recognize and appreciate any help it has received. It balances achievement with gratitude, which can then be rebalanced with more achievement — it’s a cycle of success that the 8 is continuously manifesting.

Enduring: Even when the chips are down, the 8 in Numerology has a great sense of fortitude. It knows it is capable, but that capability often isn’t the only factor at play. With patience and determination, the 8 is confident that things will come around eventually. It is willing to go through struggle because it has no doubt that prosperity is on the other side.

Weaknesses

Materialistic: The 8 likes to revel in its accomplishments by surrounding itself with nice things. It looks at this as a personal reward and a way to rebalance the cycle of manifestation. Unfortunately, to others this trait can make the 8 appear shallow or like a show-off. It may also attract opportunists who misunderstand the 8’s intentions.

Authoritative: It’s no surprise all this accomplishment goes straight to the number 8’s head. It’s used to being a leader and this gives it a feeling of personal power. But the 8 always assumes its way is the right way and, by dismissing others’ opinions and ignoring their efforts, it may lose their support even faster than it gained it.

Entitled: The 8 in Numerology isn’t about to ask for permission or forgiveness. Its need to succeed can make it blind to rules and processes, but ignoring these limits and taking things into its own hands makes teamwork impossible and drives a wedge in partnerships. The number 8 is so used to getting its way that it now expects it.

What Does Angel Number 8 Mean?

The Angel Number 8 is linked with the idea of cause and effect, and the forces at play in the world that cause events.

It is the idea of a butterfly flapping its wings in the amazon causing cyclones in Europe.

It often brings our attention to forces playing a significant role in our lives that we have not properly recognized.

These may be external forces, but more often, they are something within ourselves, and we aren’t properly understanding what is driving us.

In the Tarot deck, the number 8 is linked with the Devil card.

This is not a bad omen. But this card reminds us that actions have consequences, and where we are today is a result of our own actions in the past.

We carry the responsibility, and we have the power to change the future.

One of the cardinal numbers (which include the digits 0-9), seeing it in isolation can be a more resonant message than seeing a series of the digit, for example in the Angel Number 888.

Eight/8 of Wands – Minor Arcana

Meaning of the Eight of Wands Shadowscapes Tarot

Step by step, she leaned against the wand and walked forward. Spheres of light were gliding in waves on either side of the road. Suddenly, she remembered having a childhood friend, sending her dreams into the dandelion and then and blowing every pistil into the wind. They conceived that the further the pistil flies away, the greater the chance for dreams to come true.

Thinking of that, she smiled slightly, bent down to pick up a bunch of dandelions. Taking a deep breath, she blew the pistils hard and left them free to drift into the wind. But this also means the death of a flower that is blooming brightly, the sphere with its exquisite beauty, is also the beginning of a new life.

The spinning pistils danced with the wild breeze, immersed in the bliss of freedom. Being blessed with a fragile appearance like spider silk, they easily carry out their function, flying farther, and then in a moment, falling down and shoot the roots into a complete tree.

Similarly, the Eight of Wands Shadowscapes Tarot is about the beginning of a long journey towards a certain goal. There is a great promise that everything is under control, along with the speed of quickly gaining rewards.

Number eight talks about structure while Wands are the raw energy. Thus, the structure of it creates a path for the energy flow. You are very sure about your goals and all the distractions have been removed. You can devote yourself to your work with full concentration, determination, and willpower. This is very good, allowing you to do a lot of things in a short time.

This rune is my favorite. The all-seeing eye. It represents seeing things unseen, also seeing the beauty in things others don’t. Can also be a warning of the evil eye or someone watching you. Or perhaps a reminder to open your eyes to a situation you’ve been blindly ignoring.

Po / Splitting Apart

The weight of the Mountain presses down upon a weak foundation of Earth:
The Superior Person will use this time of oppression to attend to the needs of those less fortunate.

Any action would be ill-timed.
Stand fast.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

This is a situation easily mistaken for Stagnation (Hexagram 12) or Revolution (Hexagram 49).
It just depends on which side you’re on.
During a time of Stagnation, human worms invade to feed on the decay.
During a time of Revolution, oppression is being overthrown.
But in this situation, oppressors are violently seizing power.
Pay special heed when you receive this hexagram, because the oracle is often warning you of a situation of which you are totally unaware.
You are about to be blindsided.

Amhancholl

Ae (sometimes represented as X or Xi), is Amhancholl or Eamhancholl, associated with Witch Hazel. This natural astringent is purifying and cleansing. The word Eamhancholl literally translates to “twin of Hazel”, so there is a strong connection to C–Coll in the Ogham. When Amhancholl appears, it’s usually an indicator that cleansing and purification is necessary or has taken place.

From a purely medicinal standpoint, Witch Hazel has long been used as a cleanser and astringent. Native American tribes turned it into a poultice which was used to treat swelling and tumors. Amongst the early settlers, midwives arriving in the New World found that it could be used to prevent sepsis following childbirth or an abortion. Today, it’s still in use as a treatment for skin inflammations, such as insect bites, mild burns, and even hemorrhoids.

Amhancholl Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: When this symbol appears, it means it’s time for a cleansing. Sometimes this is a physical cleansing of our Self, but often it applies to emotional clutter and baggage. Smudge your home, get rid of all the negative energies around you, and allow yourself to purify both your body and your mind.

Magical Aspects: This is a good indicator that you need to do a re-evaluation of your spiritual life. Are you studying things that no longer interest you? Are you hanging on to books or other magical items that you know you’ll never need–or worse, that you really dislike? If you’re feeling stagnant, or that you’re drifting a bit on a spiritual level, when this symbol appears it probably means you need to rethink your priorities. What are your spiritual goals? Do a cleansing ritual, and help yourself begin anew.

The Numerology Meaning of the Number 1: THE PRIMAL FORCE

From a spiritual perspective, the 1 is the number of creation – the primal force from which all other numbers spring forth. Some say once you truly understand the place and function of this elemental number, enlightenment will be yours.

This statement doesn’t apply to a Numerologist’s perspective alone, but perhaps it’s a good place to start since the personality of the number 1 aligns nicely with its elevated spiritual symbolism.

The 1 is a doer, a powerful force that produces results.

The 1 is aggressive – a necessary trait for creating, and not allowing anything to limit its potential. The 1 is the spearhead, always in the forefront directing and leading others.

The shape of this number reflects its meaning; the 1 walks upright with pride and purpose – strong, determined, and unwavering with a specific goal in mind. The 1 is capable of turning ideas into reality – pushing obstacles aside or simply drilling right through them.

The 1 tends to have a simple, straightforward view of life, heedless of its many complexities.

An individual with the dynamic 1 trusts their ability to separate right from wrong, doesn’t waste time on abstract ideas, and rarely follows a path that isn’t in line with their result-oriented goal. The 1 is no preacher, no philosopher, spiritual explorer, nor dreamer – and certainly not an idealist. They are pragmatic, ruthless conquerors, and warriors extraordinaire. The 1 is individualistic and independent to a fault. They will attempt to force their viewpoint on you but have no desire to hear yours.

The 1 can be confrontational, jealous, and exceedingly stubborn, but also courageous and willing to try anything new (with promise) even at great risk. They have a sense of honor and responsibility that demands respect and are the first to defend injustice and hypocrisy.

Befriend a 1 and you have a friend for life.

Fortunately, the 1 has a great capacity for humor, often self-depreciating, so you can poke fun at your friend and not worry about hurt feelings. But don’t cater to them to win love or friendship or you will lose their respect. Stand up to a 1 and you may lose the fight, but you’ll gain admiration. Working for a 1 you will be pushed to the limit, abused at all hours, and incapable of living up to unreasonable expectations. But you will also become the best you can be.

When in trouble, you want a friend with a strong 1 on your side, and you won’t find a braver partner or a more dedicated protector. But, if the 1 is your enemy, you could be crushed without mercy. And be forewarned, the number 1 is the most difficult of all lovers, demanding, jealous, confrontational, and impatient.

If you have a 1 in your core numbers, your happiness and sense of satisfaction will come from your work more than any other source.

Ace Of Wands – Minor Arcana

The Ace of Wands Shadowscapes Tarot represents creativity in excitement, adventure, a challenge to motivate forward with courage and confidence.

Steadily, the wand plugged into the ground. From there, it spreads out a crimson light, like the usual reactions when flint stones collide in a pile of dust, so on, inspiration also originates from that light.

The spirits and wind goblins began to leave the residence. They hide in the shape of normal light spots, not very prominent, and then, escape from leaves, nooks, boulders and the sky. There was a flash of lightning. The challenge began to be revealed. Invitations were spread everywhere at dawn.

Once being set, the fire became unstable, seemingly unpredictable and was out of control. The source of that energy, unrestrained, exploded, frantically turned into a wildfire. Let’s take this wild opportunity and shine on the intense fire.

These animals are the spirits and guardians of the Wand: fox, cat, lion. They were brilliant with the light of wisdom and prudence, dashing like an arrow flying through the world, with the fiery flames of a fierce and powerful spirit.

Keywords related to the Ace of Wands Shadowscapes Tarot: energy, inspiration, innovation, optimism, invention, trust, enthusiasm, willpower, tenacity, fertilization, creativity, conception, growth, sexuality, motivation, initiative, new project, new business, the power of fire element, a turning point, new experiences, new ideas, new start, turning ambition into action.

Ioho

Grace, death, letting go, endings, rest, the beauty of decay

Tree: Yew (Taxus spp.)

Letter: Y

Ioho symbolizes the acceptance of enduring realities and legacies of the past. If you draw Ioho, look for the end of a phase or cycle. Ioho suggests you are handling or will handle the matter at hand with dignity and grace.

Modern culture has spent a great deal of time running away from the ideas of death and decay as natural, welcome processes. As a result, we have a society obsessed with launching our species into space for fear of extinction, a medical industry bent on extending life long after it has ceased to have any quality, and a fixation on youth that motivates the middle aged to undergo brutal, grisly procedures in order to look twenty. When we frame aging (not just of human beings) in a sensible way, we understand that getting old isn’t so terrible. People age and die. Technologies change. Weeks become years. Eras fade away. Letting go is for the best.

Ioho is about accepting limits gracefully. We cannot control much of what is around us or what happens to us in life, but we can control a great deal of how we perceive it and what we decide to do about it.

Though this Ogham has profound similarities to the Death card of the Tarot, like that card, 99.9 percent of the time it is not to be taken literally. Drawing Ioho does not mean you or someone in your circle is fated for immediate death. Instead, it signifies the necessary end and inevitability of all things decaying and dying. More often than not, the death process is much slower than we impatient humans are able to bear. Look for a lesson that comes from the acceptance of endings rather than literal death.

3 of Coins

This suit, most often named “Coins” or “Pentacles”, is a symbol for a magical talisman that represented wealth or potential. This suit represents something supportive that is available to you — whether it be health, some kind of talent, a material or financial resource.

The Three is traditionally the card of genius. Here we usually see a master craftsman conferring with his masons on the installation of a beautiful stained-glass window in the cathedral. This designer is often likened to Leonardo da Vinci or Michelangelo, a multi-talented visionary who has no peers in talent or productivity.

The masterwork is being proudly showcased for future generations, as an object of personal and collective pride. On some cards, the genius is portrayed at his studio, alone and burning the midnight oil, in a creative ferment — driven to draw, paint, invent, or whatever work genius wants to bring into creation. As a subtext to the rewards of genius are the days and weeks of intense concentration it takes to solve the problems that great works entail.

Harvest, completion, initiation

Tree: Grapevine (Vitis spp.)

Letter: M

Harvest time has deep significance and meaning for those willing to pay attention. It is both a time of celebration and fortifying oneself for the long journey ahead. Harvest in the old days was a genuinely special time, because unlike nowadays, winter forced most humans into a period of rest. With the advent of the cheap petroleum age, wintertime has become a time of bustling activity as many of us drive and shop in a frenzy to prepare for holidays, but if you think back to times when there were no lights outside of lanterns and candles when the sun set at 4pm, you can rightfully imagine it wasn’t the busiest time of year! Harvests celebrate the bounty of the summer but also the coming death of a year, which is but a larger celebration of the death of a season, which is a larger celebration of the death of the week (the weekend), which is a larger celebration of the death of a day by having a meal and then going to bed. Death is called The Reaper — when we look at this meaningfully, The Reaper is not such a bad guy. He’s taking care of business for us so we can rest and wake up ready and refreshed for the next life. Of course drawing this Ogham does not mean you or someone else is going to die. Instead, look for the culmination of a phase, project, or a way of being. You have reason to recognize and celebrate a job well done, a graduation, an obstacle overcome, or a subtle shift. The end of a cycle, even if it wasn’t the best one, is worthy of recognition and celebration before we rest and prepare for the next cycle. Decadence is not to be feared — a little decadence after hard work is natural and should be enjoyed.

3 of Cups – Minor Arcana

They do look happy, don’t they? Three women, chalices raised, dancing. There’s not a cloud in the sky, and there are plenty of flowers and fruit at their feet. The wreaths on the heads of the dancers represent success. Like all threes, the Three of Cups indicates that it’s time to apply your knowledge. The past position reveals to you an important influence from the past, and what might have happened to bring things to the point where they are now. You cannot change the past, but by understanding it, you can learn from it, so you don’t make the same mistakes again. When the Three of Cups is inverted, something has brought disillusionment into your happiness. It may have caused some isolation, or stifled your self-expression somehow. You’ve lost touch with your friends–you could even be partying too hard, and missing the real value of companionship If your question was about a relationship, then this discord might have happened because a third person stuck their nose into things.

Beith/Beth

Beith, or Beth, corresponds to the letter B in the alphabet, and is associated with the Birch tree. When this symbol is used, it is representative of new beginnings, change, release, and rebirth. In some traditions, it also has connections with purification.

Birch trees are hardy. They’ll grow just about anywhere, including on bare soil. Because they tend to grow in clusters, what may be just one or two seedlings now can be practically an entire forest in a few decades. In addition to being a sturdy sort of tree, the Birch is useful. In days gone by, it was used for infants’ cradles, and is still harvested today to make cabinets and furniture.

From a magical perspective, there are a number of uses for Birch. The branches are traditionally incorporated into the construction of a besom, and are used for the bristles. Use the white outer bark in ritual in place of paper or parchment–just be sure you only harvest the bark from a fallen Birch tree, not a living one. Ancient herbalists discovered that various parts of this tree can be used for medicinal purposes. Bark was once brewed into a tea to fight fevers, and the leaves were used alternately as a laxative and a diuretic, depending on how they were prepared.

Beith Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: When this symbol appears, it means it’s time to get rid of all those negative influences you’ve been carrying around with you. Figure out what things are bad in your life, which relationships are toxic, and find a way to leave them behind. Instead of being dragged down by the negative, focus on the positive things you have in your life, the blessings and abundance. Use these things as a focus, rather than the harmful or damaging ones.

Magical Aspects: Consider the property of renewal and rebirth, as demonstrated by the Birch. Use this as a tool for spiritual and emotional regrowth, and developing your own ability to regenerate where there has been emptiness or devastation.

Love: You need to behave in a compassionate fashion towards your partner.

Business: Your ideas are sound but you need to take time to thoroughly plan out your strategy for making them work.

Personal: You need to take time out to relax and enjoy life more.

Overview: Ch’ien is pure yang energy. Being pure yang it indicates a time when you are in a good position to achieve your objectives (whatever they may be). However, it is a time of potential as there is a lack of yin influence. So now is the time to make those plans and get ready to put them into action. Plan thoroughly and don’t be impatient. Although Ch’ien is an auspicious hexagram, for your plans to have a lasting effect and value your motives need to be virtuous. Be compassionate when you move forward. If you are arrogant you will only breed complacency or resentment in those around you.

The 1 can be confrontational, jealous, and exceedingly stubborn, but also courageous and willing to try anything new (with promise) even at great risk. They have a sense of honor and responsibility that demands respect and are the first to defend injustice and hypocrisy.

Six Of Fire – Minor Arcana

The Explanation of Six of Fire Osho Zen Tarot

This character in Six of Fire Osho Zen is clearly at the “top of the world” and the whole world is celebrating his success with ticker-tape parade!

Because you are willing to accept the recent challenges of life, you now – and will soon – enjoy the wonderful ride on the back of a successful tiger. Celebrate, enjoy, and share the joy with everyone – and remember: every colorful parade has an opening and an end. If you keep this in mind and squeeze every drop of happiness you are experiencing right now, you will be able to embrace the future without regret. However, don’t try to hold on to this moment, or wrap it in a plastic bag so that it lasts forever.

The greatest wisdom to keep in mind with all the phenomena in the parade of your life, whether at the peak or the abyss, is that “this too will pass.” Celebrate, yes, and keep riding on the tiger’s back.

The Energy of Six of Fire Osho Zen Tarot Based on Osho’s Teachings

Watch the waves in the ocean. The higher the wave goes, the deeper is the wake that follows it. One moment you are the wave, another moment you are the hollow wake that follows. Enjoy both – don’t get addicted to one. Don’t say: I would always like to be on the peak. It is not possible. Simply see the fact: it is not possible. It has never happened and it will never happen.

It is simply impossible – not in the nature of things. Then what to do? Enjoy the peak while it lasts and then enjoy the valley when it comes. What is wrong with the valley? What is wrong with being low? It is a relaxation. A peak is an excitement, and nobody can exist continuously in an excitement.

Luis

Protection, strength

Tree: Rowan (Sorbus spp.)

Letter: L

Luis symbolizes a connection with one’s higher spirit or Guardian Angel. Whether you believe in such things or not, we can all agree that without protectors, especially when we are young and defenseless, we human beings make easy prey. Luis indicates you are loved and valued by someone and that they love and value you enough to feel protective of you.

We are surrounded by beings who are willing to teach us and help us grow towards our potential as human beings, but if we reject their good advice with materialist denials or because we are lazy or treat them as spiritual vending machines, they are more than happy to stand aside and leave the doors open for the legions of beings who do not wish us well.

When we grow up, we all become parents of sorts as we end up taking upon the role of self-parent. For example: you get yourself up in the morning, not mom. You obtain food for yourself, you bathe yourself, you are responsible for your own behavior and regulating your own communications and emotions. Luis means you are willing to take the necessary precautions that a good parent would insist upon if you were the child. You are acting as a good parent to yourself, providing protection and sanctuary, allowing yourself room to grow without overreacting in extreme directions.

Hexagram Twenty/20

Kuan / Contemplation

The gentle Wind roams the Earth:
The Superior Person expands his sphere of influence as he expands his awareness.
Deeply devoted to his pursuit of clarity and wisdom, he is unconscious of the inspiring, positive example he is setting for others to emulate.

You have cleansed yourself; now stand ready to make your humble, devout offering.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

The situation marks a rising to new heights.
As you climb for a better view of the panorama, you make yourself more conspicuous to those below.
This hexagram is also known as the Watchtower, because the shape formed by its lines resembles the ancient guardposts manned by Chinese soldiers.
These towers were placed on mountainsides to give a better vantage point.
To those below, the watchtowers served as landmarks to help them find their way.
The quality of your search for clarity in this situation serves as such a guidepost for others along the Way.

Compulsion, Necessity, Pain

Our lesson is the necessity of bearing strong enforcement. Your positive aspects can be controlled by the people who surround you. To pull this rune means to get a hint that there is going to be stagnation  – an occasion to re-consider your plans carefully.  It is the time to pay off old guilt and even if it’s easy it is time to restore balance. Therefore improve, reconstruct, organize: if the fishermen cannot pull out, they repair their fishing nets. You must deal with and face your own demons. So keep your anger as well as your impulses under control.  Modesty and a good mood are essential in such times.

Uruz – “Ox”

Keywords: Endurance, stubborn pursuit, good health, strength, hard work, perseverance

The Uruz rune shows a wild ox, a symbol of dogged determination, raw strength and incredible endurance. When the Uruz rune comes up in readings, it indicates that you are making steady progress towards your goal. Like the ox, you possess enormous reservoirs of vigour, life force, determination and strength – in other words, you have what it takes to complete whatever journey you are on, and to achieve whatever ambitious goal you have set your sights on.

Another dimension of the Uruz rune is its connotations of both physical and mental health, fortitude and vigour. We are all familiar with the saying ‘strong as an ox,’ and this is the case when the Uruz rune appears in a reading.

In cases where the Uruz rune appears reversed, the same rune that indicates strength and good health when upright, can be a warning of sneaking health problems or a loss of strength in some other way. The reversed Uruz rune can also be considered a reminder to take good care of your physical vessel as well as your mental health – together, they are the vehicle that carries you through life.

Nine

Positive qualities

The main positive qualities of the Nine are good will to all people without exception, the ability to be sympathetic and to show mercy to those who need it.

Moreover, you have natural charm, the ability to awaken good feelings. Apparently, this quality is granted to you as an additional tool for the promotion of your views of life.

It would be fair to say that you also use this feature for other purposes. Sensual component of life is of great importance to you, so you don’t consider it necessary to ignore your own appeal.

Negative qualities

Negative qualities of the Nine include the tendency to dramatizing and extreme manifestations of emotion. In other words, you love making scenes. This is your way of releasing your inner tension. However, those around you don’t feel better because of this.

There is another interesting point: you are a little bit of a Don Quixote deep down inside. Meaning that you consider the old days to be the Lost Paradise. You think that the present days are certainly worse. There is no big harm in it, as long as you don’t make your spouse a scene because they refuse to challenge your neighbor to a duel.

Huath

Barriers, toil, hard work, obstacles

Hawthorn (Crataegus spp.)

Letter: H

Huath indicates an obstacle or series of obstacles that must be overcome with no going around. This could mean learning a subject, for instance playing the piano, and the infamous 10,000 hours of practice any instrument requires to attain mastery.

Huath is a task that you must go through the long haul to make happen. For instance, Huath could be overcoming your own self-destructive behavior or getting over an obsession. It could also be starting the business of one’s dreams or mastering a field of study. Any way you slice it, there are no short cuts. The task at hand takes patience and immersion. You must look at the task from all sides, brainstorm it — Huath is the Spirit of Fire for a reason — and understand its limits. Forcing a route will simply not work. Huath is the idea that worthwhile goals often require personal sacrifice and perseverance through challenges. Look at the goal as no less than a test of your own character. Many lifetimes have brought you to this. Rise to the occasion. Be determined, even when the rest of life tries to distract you, deter you, and defeat your best efforts. The physical plane is designed to beat you down; that is this plane and it sucks. Too bad. Figure it out. Master yourself first, cast no blame, and learn to adapt to challenges.

The invitation may allow for social advancement or provide a desired opportunity to make necessary contacts for emotional fulfillment and satisfaction in life. If representatives of a person, this card is someone who has something beneficial to offer. One’s enthusiasm may prompt openings and opportunities, especially through casual mingling among people who prove helpful. There is also a possible opportunism with this card: someone being capricious with one’s emotions, vacillating and leading one on. Flattery or deception could come into play. or a person could be misleading one either for his or her own gain or simply because of an inability to be emotionally consistent or make a sincere commitment. Other cards in the spread will clarify the intention.

Oi/Oir

Oi, sometimes representing the Th sound, is Oir, the Spindle tree, which was used to make bobbins and pegs, as well as (obviously) spindles. This dainty little tree is misleading–while it looks delicate, it’s also very strong. The durability and strength of the wood made it useful for oxen-goads, which were used in ploughing. The white flowers and bright red autumn fruits, connect the Spindle tree to the hearth and home, as well as the bonds of kinfolk and clan.

Oir Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: When this symbol appears, focus on family honor. Remember that in addition to blood family members, we have people that we choose to invite into our hearts, our spiritual family members. Fulfill obligations you may have to people you love, whether you have been planning for or not. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, but ultimately, do what’s right for those who enjoy the hospitality of your hearth.

Magical Aspects: Work on developing a connection not only to the people in your clan, but in the greater spiritual community. Remember that differing tribes still have to work together for a common purpose, and that means someone has to assume the role of mediator when conflicts arise. If you’re active in the Pagan community, or in a specific group, this may fall to you.

Two

Known as the peacemaker, the 2 is almost always gentle, tactful, diplomatic, forgiving, and non-confrontational.

However, the shape of the 2 gives us a clue to its resilience and ability to survive. This symbol, as if bowing in servitude, could easily be perceived as weak and powerless. But when the humble 2 is under attack, even burdened by a crushing weight, its flexible nature allows it to bounce back quickly.

This is in stark contrast to the power and pride of the bold 1, who is unlikely to back down. (The competitive, bold, individualistic nature of the 1 makes it strong, but its rigid posture can shatter under prolonged pressure.)

People in leadership positions – often individuals with a well positioned 1 in their chart – recognize the value of their calm, thoughtful friend. The 2 is often the real power behind the throne.

The 2 understands the underlying motivation driving the people around them.

The ability to understand others helps them navigate divergent opinions and ideas, giving a little here, taking a little there. Many psychotherapists, skilled at reading human nature, have a strong 2 in their chart.

Patient and unassuming, individuals with a prominent Number 2 people don’t always get the recognition they deserve but they tend to hold a special place in the hearts and minds of those who know them.

The number 2 is recognized for its grace, sophistication, style, and taste in art and music. Dancers often carry this number due to its inherent sense of rhythm. In social environments, the 2 is a good conversationalist with a witty, self-depreciating sense of humor (never slapstick or juvenile as they are too sophisticated for that).

Celtic Shield Knot

The Celtic shield knot is used for warding and protection. Shield knots have appeared in cultures around the world and have taken a variety of different forms. They are almost universally square in shape, and the knotwork of the design ranges from simple to complex. In the Celtic version, a series of knots is formed. In other cultures, such as the early Mesopotamian era, the shield is simply a square with a loop at each of the four corners.

Fans of Celtic artwork occasionally get variations of this piece as tattoos or wear them as talismans of protection. In modern Celtic reconstructionist groups, the shield knot is sometimes invoked as a ward to keep negative energy away. In some traditions, the corners of the knot are meant to represent the four elements of earth, air, fire, and water, although it’s important to note that Celtic spirituality is usually based upon the three realms of earth, sea, and sky.

If you’re interested in following a Celtic Pagan path, there are a number of books that are useful for your reading list. Although there are no written records of the ancient Celtic people, there are a number of reliable books by scholars that are worth reading.

Tarot Card

Source: The Celtic Dragon Tarot by D. J. Conway. With art done by Lisa Hunt. This deck is unique as the cards are never read in reverse.

Ace of Cups – Minor Arcana

Joy; fertile period

Baby dragons are hatching out of a nest floating on the waters of a gentle stream below a waterfall. One hatched baby is looking at her reflection in the water, while another leans contently against her. A third baby is struggling out of its shell, while a fourth is settling itself for a peaceful nap. All humans, at whatever stage of life, begin their seeking for spiritual and/or emotional growth and knowledge with the naivete and innocence of children. They are innocent of the difficulties and perils that might lie ahead and at the same time enthusiastic to get started on their journey. Some get caught up in admiring themselves and what they believe they can do, while others are content just to bask in the sunlight and lean on others. Still others struggle through obstacles and become stronger for this. This struggles reflected in the faces on the rock. The waterfall and chalice are symbolic of the endless stream of lives that proceed from and return to the Goddess and God.

Divinatory Meaning: New beginnings in your life will fill you with joy and contentment. Your spiritual growth will expand and take you to a higher level of understanding. There is the possibility of a new love. This card can also herald a possible pregnancy, so take care if this is not what you want. This can also foretell a fertile period for ideas.

Animal Spirit Guide or Helper

Condor – “You’re too enmeshed in this situation, so step back and see the bigger picture before making any decisions or taking action”

You’ve lost perspective here because you either believe there’s something that you absolutely need to have happen or else you’re simply being too stubborn to let go, step back, and take a fresh look at circumstances. It’s the forest versus the trees dilemma: You’re too close to clearly discern the reality of what’s actually taking place. So make a practice of detachment. Most people think of this as a cold, sterile way of responding to a situation or person, but nothing id further from the truth. It’s far worse to remain so utterly involved and entangled that you lose perspective — and sometimes even your self! This all-too-familiar pattern stems from the guilty feeling that some how you’re not doing enough unless you completely immerse yourself into the problem or person, continually trying to fix the situation or rescue the individual involved. While this may give you a temporary sense of satisfaction, doing so also creates unhealthy dependencies — yours and others.

True detachment is objective compassion, a state of mind and heart where you still care very much but are distanced enough so that you’re not under the illusion that you can somehow control the situation or person through your participation or intervention. In any situation or conversation, follow these four simple guidelines. First, be 100 percent present and attentive; second, speak your truth (or maintain a dignified silence); third, keep the focus on what’s really important and what really matters; and fourth, let goof any attachment to outcome. These four steps will help keep your perspective while remaining compassionately involved and detached at the same time. You can still wield your influence by stating your prefer–whether strong or mild–without insisting on getting your own way. Express yourself and see what happens, all the while honoring and respecting others.

Uhr/Ura

U (sometimes W) is Uhr or Ura, the Heather plant, which symbolizes passion and generosity. This ground-covering plant grows on top of peat in the moors of the Celtic lands. The blossoms are full of rich nectar and are very attractive to bees, which are seen in some traditions as messengers to and from the spirit world. Uhr is associated with both generosity and healing, as well as contact with the Otherworld.

Historically, the Picts used the flowers of the Heather plant to make a fermented ale–the natural sweetness of the plant probably made this delicious! It is also known to bring good fortune, particularly the white variety of Heather. A number of Scottish clansmen tucked Heather in their bonnets before going into battle. From a practical standpoint, Heather was also harvested to use for thatching. Dyes and brooms were made from it as well; if you make a besom of your own, use some Heather for the bristles.

Medicinally, Heather has been used to treat everything from consumption to “agitated nerves.” The great Scottish poet Robert Burns advocated its use in “Moorland Tea,” brewed from the harvested flowers.

Number 5

The most vibrant, freedom-loving of all numbers in numerology

The Numerology Meaning of the Number 5: A DYNAMIC FORCE

The 5 is unpredictable, always in motion, and constantly in search of change.

Although it is molded from an almost equal mix of freedom-loving and loyal characteristics, the 5 is slightly more daring, and there is nothing submissive about it.

The 5 is extremely independent in mind and soul.

For an adventurer and risk-taker who has a hard time staying in one place, one job, or one relationship, the 5 is surprisingly loyal when the right partner comes along.

The 2 and the 6 are known as the most harmonious relationship numbers. Still, both will cheat on a partner when temptation is strong enough. The 5 will not. The 5 may break off a relationship due to their restless nature, but they will rarely deceive a partner. Although, when they are not in a committed relationship, they have no problem dating a different person every day of the week

The 5 generally doesn’t find a suitable career until they’ve tried several different jobs, some barely lasting long enough to warrant a full paycheck. This is especially true if there is monotonous routine involved; boredom sets in quickly for the 5 who simply cannot stand predictable, repetitive work.

But again, the 5 will surprise friends and family once they find their niche. This usually happens after age 30 when their focus, energy, and quick mind help them scramble up the ladder (faster, and with less apparent effort, than those around them).

Many 5s choose careers that require travel or otherwise offer a regular change of environment. People working in the travel industry, small business owners, independent consultants, lawyers, and those in sales often have the 5 in their core numbers.

The 5 can adjust quickly to pretty much anything coming their way.

The 5 is versatile, adaptable, intelligent, progressive, and tolerant. Convention bores them, and they are easily drawn to the eccentrics and misfits of society.

A social creature, the 5 is funny and uplifting, good at making others feel comfortable around them. They are generally well-liked and often surrounded by friends and acquaintances. However, they can also be polarizing, so people that are typically uptight, self-righteous, or judgmental are quickly aggravated by them.

Perhaps the most dominating trait of the 5 is the uncompromising demand for freedom in thought and action.

People with a prominent 5 in their core numbers make up their own mind, rebel against dogma and ideology, and recoil from clubs, cults, and religious sects. Their adventurous, daredevil nature may include riding motorcycles, but they will not typically ride with a large group. Chances are a 5 will be opinionated and passionate about political issues, but will remain independent of formal political parties.

A 5 may change their mind (regularly) but not without good reason. They won’t be controlled but are flexible and can be converted if the argument makes sense. The 5 has a healthy sense of humor and doesn’t sweat the small things. They carry their heart on their sleeve, and it’s not uncommon to give that heart to the wrong person – they are not always the best judge of character.

On the negative side, the 5 can be selfish, thoughtless, and irresponsible.

Rarely considering the future beyond next week, worrying is not in their nature. The 5 tends to procrastinate and can be unreliable. However, their most common downfall is a tendency to experiment with sex, drugs, alcohol, and other addictions. A desire for instant gratification, lack of restraint, and their feeling of invulnerability can be a recipe for disaster.

The shape of numbers reflect their nature, and just as the 4 is square and grounded, the 5 is a symbol of dynamic energy, elastic and constantly in motion.

Triple Moon

The Triple Moon is a popular modern witchcraft symbol, also known as the Goddess symbol. It essentially depicts the three major moon phases which corresponds to the concept of the Triple Goddess of Wicca: maiden, mother and crone. But whether you are Wiccan or not, this symbol holds feminine power and increases intuition, psychic abilities and aids our magic (pictured at the beginning).

Breakthrough – Major Arcana

The commentary of The Breakthrough Osho Zen

Eye-catching at first sight and…

The meaning of The Breakthrough Osho Zen

Converting disruptions into breakthroughs is a master’s comprehensive function. Psychologists simply patch you up and that is- the function. He is not there to transform you. You need meta-psychology, the psychology of the buddhas.

The Breakthrough Osho Zen is a great adventure in life to overcome an accidental breakup. It is the greatest risk as there is no guarantee that the breakup will become a breakthrough. It does become, but these cannot be guaranteed. Your chaos has been around for a long time – in many previous lives, you were in turmoil- thick and layered. It is almost an inner universe itself. So when you step into it with your small power, it is definitely dangerous. But without facing this danger, no one will become integrated, no one becomes an individual, individually.

Meditation, or thinking, is a method that will help you overcome chaos, overcome the darkness of the soul, balance, order, and warnings. Dawn is not far away, but before you can get to dawn, the night must be over. And as dawn dawned, the night would become darker.

Hexagram Thirty-Nine/39

Chien / Obstacle

Ominous roiling in the Crater Lake atop the Volcano:
When meeting an impasse, the Superior Person turns his gaze within, and views the obstacle from a new perspective.

Offer your opponent nothing to resist.
Let a sage guide you in this.
Good fortune lies along this course.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

The Obstacle lies in obstinance.
An insistence on only one way of proceeding has brought things to an impasse.
You may either continue banging your head with irresistible force against this immovable object, or you might step back and survey this situation from a fresh perspective.
Which is immobile here — the obstruction or your attitude?

3 of Clouds – Minor Arcana

The Explanation of Three of Clouds Osho Zen Tarot

In our society, men are often taught not to cry, to keep a strong facial expression on things when they get hurt, and not show that they are in pain. But women can also fall into this situation, and we all at some point realize that the only way to survive is to get rid of all our emotions so we don’t get hurt again. If our pain is too deep, we tend to hide it from ourselves.

This makes us frozen, harsh because deep down we know that just a small crack in the ice is enough to free the hurt to start circulating through us again. The rainbow-colored tears on this person’s face hold the key to breaking out of this ‘ice-olation’. Tears, and only the tears, hold the power to melt the ice. It’s okay when we cry, and there’s no reason to be ashamed of those tears. Crying helps us to let go of pain, allow us to be softer to ourselves, and ultimately heal our wounds.

The Energy of Three of Clouds Osho Zen Tarot Based on Osho’s Teachings

We are miserable because we are too much in the self. What does it mean when I say we are too much in the self? And what exactly happens when we are too much in the self? Either you can be in existence or you can be in the self – both are not possible together.
  • To be in the self means to be apart, to be separate. To be in the self means to become an island;
  • To be in the self means to draw a boundary line around you;
  • To be in the self means to make a distinction between ‘this I am’ and ‘that I am not’.

The definition, the boundary, between “I” and “not I” is what the self is – the self isolates.

Three of Clouds Osho Zen Tarot makes you frozen – you are no longer flowing. If you are flowing the self cannot exist. Hence people have become almost like ice-cubes. They don’t have any warmth, they don’t have any love – love is warmth and they are afraid of love. If warmth comes to them they will start melting and the boundaries will disappear. In love the boundaries disappear; in joy also the boundaries disappear because joy is not cold.

Protection, Sedge and Rushes, a Moose

This is about the control of emotions. During transition periods, changing the course of life and accelerated self-change, it is important not to rush into emotions, either positive or negative. Remember that early action and right conduct are the only real protection. No matter whether your business flourishes or fades, don’t worry. Maybe you don’t win, but you will never lose, because you will always learn from what has happened. Moderation and civility are the strengths of the protective forces of this rune.

Idad, Idho, or Iodhadh

Pronunciation – Ee-dad or ee-yoh

Tree Association – Yew

Meaning – Ancestry, history, aging, dying, transitions, thoughts, and memory. Idad can represent the wisdom that comes from elders and the strength we now have from ancestors who came before us. Aging is not to be feared but celebrated! Not everyone is lucky enough to have gray hairs, and it’s truly something to be grateful for. Idad is also a fantastic representation of the natural cycle and connects back to the first Ogham (Beith), representing joyful beginnings.

If reversed – Physical death, sadness, and mourning. Death is inevitable for us all. However, it’s essential to reflect on the cycle of our life as well as others. In the natural cycle of life, endings come with new beginnings.

Inscription and Magical Uses – Helpful when trying to connect with ancestors, meditation, or when contemplating life and the natural cycle.

Folklore – The Yew tree is deeply connected to the Druids and their history. It was considered sacred, and many built their temples around them.

Hexagram Fifty – Six/56

Lu / The Wanderer

Fire on the Mountain, catastrophic to man, a passing annoyance to the Mountain:
The Superior Person waits for wisdom and clarity before exacting Justice, then lets no protest sway him.

Find satisfaction in small gains.
To move constantly forward is good fortune to a Wanderer.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

You are a stranger to this situation.
It is your attraction to the exotic that has led you here, but you will move on to a new vista when this one has lost its mystique.
Because much of this environment is foreign to you, you must exercise only the best judgement.
You don’t know the custom here, and it’s too easy to cross a line you don’t know is there.
Because you are the foreigner in this setting, you have no history to acquit you.
Watch, listen, study, contemplate, then step lightly but decisively on.

Quiert

Delight, respite, celebration
Tree: Apple (Malus spp.)
Letter: Q

The apple is an ancient symbol of bounty, harmony, and completion. True to symbolism, Quiert indicates a time of well-deserved rest, or at least that you deserve rest even if you are unable to have enough of it. Constant activity goes against the flow of nature. Our society, which seeks to progress at an ever-faster pace until the human race metastasizes across the universe, has got it all wrong. Slowing down is the appropriate action in many cases, for instance after a period of activity or at the culmination of a big project.

There is great delight in the smallest periods of rest, whether that means taking the time to thank the person at the restaurant for making your sandwich (just because you paid for it with money does not mean verbal gratitude goes unappreciated) or to give a firm, polite “no” when someone deliberately or unwittingly threatens your peace of mind by asking too much of you. Quiert speaks of the sweetness of small human gestures and petite graces. Without them, civilization wouldn’t be quite so civilized, nor would it be as worthy of holding together.

Quiert might also indicate a longer resting/healing time for you or for someone else, or that rest is needed. Quiert says, “Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses. Observe. Live in the moment instead of always planning for the perfect future or reliving the past.” It is a marker of gratitude in general, and the slowness required to fully sense the world around us.

PERTH

Initiation, Something Concealed, A Secret Thing

Deep, inner trans formative powers are interacting, but what you are going to get out of them isn’t easy to recognize. An integrity – concealed, disguised, secretly hidden. After all, what is going to heal us and our soul is a deep mystery. On the side of the material world there probably will be surprises; unexpected profits are nothing to be excluded. Nothing less than a renewal your spirit is the risk you take. The old way found its end: You simply cannot repeat the old things any longer without suffering. However, you always have a chance: Either you see all negative as a “misfortune”, or you recognize the entire as a hindrance stretch, an inaugural way that you have to follow at this moment.

Coll

C, sometimes read as K, is Coll, which is the Hazel tree. August is known as the Hazel Moon, because this is when Hazel nuts appear on the trees–the world Coll translates to “the life force inside you”, and what better symbol of life than the nut itself? Hazel is associated with wisdom and creativity and knowledge. Sometimes it is connected in Celtic lore with magical springs, sacred wells, and divination.

Hazel was a handy tree to have around. It was used by many English pilgrims to make staffs for use upon the road–not only was it a sturdy walking stick, it also provided a modicum of self-defense for weary travelers. Certainly, it could have been used as well for ritual. Hazel was used in weaving of baskets by medieval folk, and the leaves were fed to cattle because it was believed this would increase the cow’s supply of milk.

In the Irish myth cycles, there is a tale that nine hazel nuts dropped into a sacred pool. A salmon came along in the pool and gobbled up the nuts, which then imbued him with wisdom. A variation of the story appears in the legend of Finn Mac Cumhail, who ate the salmon and then took on the knowledge and wisdom of the fish. Note that Mac Cumhail is often translated as Mac Coll.

Coll Correspondences

Mundane Aspects: Take advantage of your own artistry or creativity, and share your knowledge with others so they too can practice these arts. Lead by example, and teach those who wish to learn. Find inspiration for your creative gifts, whatever your talent may be.

Magical Aspects: Let the divine guide you in your creative journey. Speak to the gods through your art, and be rewarded with inspiration. If you’re stuck in a creative rut, call upon the Divine to send you a Muse.

Hexagram Forty-Eight/48

Ching / The Well

Deep Waters Penetrated and drawn to the surface:
The Superior Person refreshes the people with constant encouragement to help one another.

Encampments, settlements, walled cities, whole empires may rise and fall, yet the Well at the center endures, never drying to dust, never overflowing.
It served those before and will serve those after.
Again and again you may draw from the Well, but if the bucket breaks or the rope is too short there will be misfortune.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

There is a Source common to us all.
Jung named it the Collective Unconscious.
Others hail it as God within.
Inside each of us are dreamlike symbols and archetypes, emotions and instincts that we share with every other human being.
When we feel a lonely separateness from others, it is not because this Well within has dried up, but because we have lost the means to reach its waters.
You need to reclaim the tools necessary to penetrate to the depths of your fellows.
Then the bonds you build will be as timeless and inexhaustible as the Well that nourishes them.

Seven

Positive qualities

The main strength of the Seven is the ability to think. Think for real. That is, they can set a question and then use logic, erudition and insight to find the answer.

In fact, quite a few are capable of doing such, which gives you a distinct advantage in most situations. It is quite natural that people regard you as a wise advisor.

Another positive quality is your inner tranquility. You can fire up and start yelling because of any trifle, but it is virtually impossible to bring you out of balance and make you lose your head.

Negative qualities

Clearly negative features of the Seven are their inherent cynicism, misanthropy, groundless suspicion and certain wildness in their behavior.

You do not care about what they think or say, so you do not give yourself trouble to show good manners, or even common courtesy. If you want to, you can “teach a lesson in etiquette” in such an insulting form that the other person will feel offended.

Moreover, you seize every moment to demonstrate your independence and unwillingness to be part of the crowd. So you will never become a darling of all hearts.
