Elder’s Meditation of the Day – October 18

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – October 18

“But we have to stick by the wisdom of our ancestors…”

–Paula Weasel Head, BLOOD

A long time ago the Elders and our ancestors learned to walk on the Earth and to live in harmony. They were taught the Laws which govern everything, and they were taught traditional values. This wisdom should be made available to the younger generations. We need to speak to the Elders and learn from them. We need to do this so we can pass the knowledge on to our children.

My Creator, help me learn the wisdom of my ancestors.

Taming Monkey Mind in Meditation

by Madisyn Taylor

We all have the endless chattering and noise in our head often referred to as the monkey mind.

It’s been called the monkey mind the endless chattering in your head as you jump in your mind from thought to thought while you daydream, analyze your relationships, or worry over the future. Eventually, you start to feel like your thoughts are spinning in circles and you’re left totally confused.

One way to tame this wild creature in your head is through meditation although the paradox is that when you clear your mind for meditation you actually invite the monkey in your mind to play. This is when you are given the opportunity to tame this mental beast by moving beyond thought to become aware of a thought rather than thinking a thought. The difference is subtle, but significant. When you are aware of your thoughts, you can let your thoughts rise and float away without letting them pull you in different directions. Being able to concentrate is one of the tools that allows you to slow down your thought process and focus on observing your thoughts.

To develop your concentration, you may want to start by focusing on the breath while you meditate. Whenever your monkey mind starts acting up, observe your thoughts and then return your focus to your breath. Some breathing meditations call on you to focus on the rise and fall of the breath through the abdomen, while others have you concentrate on the sound of the breath. Fire can also be mesmerizing, and focusing on a candle flame is another useful tool for harnessing the mind. Keep the gaze soft and unfocused while observing the color, shape, and movement of the flame, and try not to blink. Close your eyes when you feel the need and continue watching the flame in your head. Chanting, devotional singing, and mantras also still the mind. However you choose to tame the monkey mind, do so with firm kindness. The next time the chattering arises, notice it and then allow it to go away. With practice, your monkey mind will become quiet and so will you.

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 18th – ‘World Menopause Day’

Where do I even begin on ‘World Menopause Day?’ Let’s start at the beginning. I’m talking about those days of hot flashes and irritability, mood swings and lack of sleep. Native Americans used black cohosh to effectively improve almost all menopausal symptoms, and to this day, studies show that using this flowering plant helps improves physical and psychological symptoms that include anxiety, night sweats and dryness. Of course and as always, check with a qualified professional before beginning any new medicinal protocol. But if you’re a women currently dealing with any of these symptoms, try this amazing herb — you’ll thank me later.

Calendar of the Sun for October 18th

Calendar of the Sun

Feralia: Day of Purification

Color: White
Element: Air
Altar: On a white cloth put a lit candle, incense, a cup of water, and a bowl of salt.
Offering: Although this day is not a day of total silence, it is a solemn day and talking should be done only when necessary and in quiet tones. Bodies should be thoroughly cleaned during the bathing hour, and then the altar area should be cleaned and purified with all four elements. Each person, upon entering the altar space at the beginning of Sponde should remove their clothing and be naked, and each body should be purified with the four elements and marked with water and salt, at which point they may enrobe again. Chores of the day should concentrate on cleaning and repair.
Daily Meal: Vegan and extremely simple and plain.

Feralia Invocation

Breathe the air into your body
And breathe out again,
And as you breathe out,
Let all grime and corruption
Depart on that breath
(All breathe together for twelve breaths.)
Feel the blood coursing through your body
And imagine it clean
Of anything but what should be there.
Feel the energy coursing through your body
And wash it clean
Of anything that does not belong.
Feel the Earth beneath you,
Remember that She can absorb all
Remember that all rot is her provenance
Draw her energy up into you
And give it back again.

(After this grounding, all breathe together again in a yogic breathing pattern for the next half an hour, after which all will go with water and salt and incense and fire to all rooms in the house and cleanse them. Great care should be taken for the rest of the day not to disturb the energy of the freshly cleaned house.)

Daily Motivator for October 17th – Make it great

Make it great

It is nearly impossible for one person to quickly achieve great things. Yet  it is within any person’s reach to do small things, again and again, until they  add up to great results.

If you attempt to jump across a wide chasm in a single bound, you’ll fall  helplessly to the bottom. However, when you walk carefully down one side, then  across the floor and back up again, you’ll make it successfully to the other  side.

What is it you seek to do, or have, or become, or experience? Work on it  steadily, in challenging yet achievable steps, beginning right now.

Those who greedily want it all immediately end up with nothing but  frustration. Those who persist, and then persist some more with one step after  another, can reach whatever level they choose to reach.

The only way to truly enjoy the reward is to also enjoy the journey that  brings you to it. Every moment, every obstacle, every advance and setback, every  twist and turn is part of that journey.

Have faith, patience, purpose and unstoppable persistence. You’ll get there,  and will indeed make it great.

Your Charm for Thursday, Oct. 17th is The Caduceus

 Your Charm for Today

The Caduceus Today’s Meaning:

You will find you have within you the ability to resolve all conflicts and disagreements with regard to this aspect. You will find an eloquence you did not realize before.

General Description:

The staff of Mercury was given to him by Apollo in exchange for the lyre. The rod was endowed with the remarkable power of deciding all quarrels and bestowing wonderful eloquence upon its possessor. Mercury proved this when he saw two serpents fighting. Placing the rod between them and using his eloquence he reconciled the serpents, who then embraced each other, and becoming attached to the rod formed the caduceus. The pine cone is credited with health giving power, and the wings symbolize speed and the flight of thoughts between friends. This ancient talisman was supposed to be a charm of prosperity, rendering its possessor healthy, wealthy and wise.

Cronehood: Aging Gracefully Or Just Aging?

Cronehood: Aging Gracefully Or Just Aging?

Author:   Rev. etain.butterfly

I am enjoying my Cronehood journey and wish I could say the same for many of our aging population. What I am observing and I must say it is a concern to me…why do people of age want to home in on talking about their illness (s) and making it their main topic of conversation? I can understand when a crisis happens, there is a new diagnosis that is heavy on their mind and that there stages they go through (shock, grieving, barter, and acceptance) , however I am not talking about this. I am talking about the need to focus on the aging process as a loss and a ‘giving up’ instead of looking at it for what it is… a process that can offer freedom and joys. Let me give you some examples.

A friend of mine is a diabetic and he has this condition because of many years of not paying attention to what he ate and the amount of what he ate. He continued to gain weight and the signs started showing up that he was near developing Type II Diabetes at age 58. When he had a chance to correct the situation by diet alone, he still made bad decisions about his food intake. Then he was given the devastating news that he was now a full fledge diabetic that must take insulin.

I was very patient when he learned he had to change his eating habits, monitor his blood sugar, and learn to give himself insulin shots. I understood it would take him time to adjust, so his constant talking and yes, even complaining, was expected. As a friend, it was my job to help him through this transition and give him the needed support to ease all the changes that he would have to go through.

So, here’s his story now. He’s 68 years old and has had this condition for several years. He continues to make this health issue his topic of conversation even when things are going really well. The fact is, he has had this condition for 10 years and has chosen to play the ‘poor me scenario’. His doctor has provided him with excellent information and several resources to help him cope. He always needs to announce to anyone and everyone in earshot that he is a diabetic and then goes into the same old routine of boring them to death with details of his blood sugar and his eating routine. An example of his usual conversation…

”Oh my blood sugar is 100 and that is good but usually it is higher than that. Gosh, what do you think that means? Should I call the doctor? Maybe I should eat a candy bar to get it higher. What do you think? I will have to check it again later. Maybe I should call my daughter.”

He has a daughter who is an RN and he is driving her bonkers. When I am around him, I end up tuning him out when he starts this nonsense. Now I find myself avoiding him because I am sick of hearing his persistent complaining. It is taking a toll on my psychic energy. In other words, it sucks the life right out of me and, after visiting with him, I am tired and so ready to take a nap.

I see this with other Crones also. They talk about their arthritic aches and pains plus stiffness in their joints as much as they do about the changes in the weather. These are chronic conditions, meaning they will experience this from time to time, and talking about it obsessively won’t change a thing.

At what point do people decide that the aging process means they need to constantly talk about their health issues? At what point do they stop engaging in healthier topics of conversation? What are the reasons for this shift in how they converse with people and, more importantly, do they even realize how depressing this whole routine is?

One reason may actually be major depression (also known as clinical depression) , which is a medical illness. It is a chemical imbalance in the brain and can appear in people regardless of age, race or economic status. The illness can appear after a triggering event or for no apparent reason at all.

Look for signs of:

•Constant complaints of aches and pains (back, stomach, arms, legs, head, chest) , fatigue, slowed movements and speech, loss of appetite, inability to sleep, weight increase or decrease, blurred vision, dizziness, heart racing, anxiety.
•An overall sadness or apathy, withdrawn; unable to find pleasure in anything. Also irritability, mood swings or constant complaining; nothing seems to make the person happy.
•Talk of worthlessness, not being needed anymore, excessive and unwarranted guilt.
•Frequent doctor visits without relief in symptoms; all tests come out negative.
•Alcoholism can mask an underlying depression.

Another reason is ‘doing as others do’. Meaning they mimic what other elders are doing. Again if that is what they see and hear from their associates, there is a strong chance they may get caught up in the same negative behavior.

A third reason is the lack of stimulation, which will give them other things to talk about. Many times, elders find themselves alone with infrequent visitation from family and friends. They concentrate on familiar things like illnesses, chronic aches and pains, and the medications they take.

I, too, have minor health issues, however I chose to acknowledge that ‘it is what it is’. I have been dealt this hand and therefore I will do what I can to not let it slow me down. As I said, I am an observer of people partly because I am an RN and it’s part of my job. I have made note that those individuals who are really struggling with major health issues hardly complain at all. They keep a positive attitude and, in doing so, don’t let their condition stop them from enjoying life. Along with keeping a positive attitude, you may also find, as I have, that ‘like attracts like’. People benefit from being around cheerful positive people.

As an Elder and Crone myself, I hope to stir the Pagan community to take notice of how they choose to age. Are we aging with grace or are we just aging? Talk to the God and Goddess for help in modifying your way of thinking so you can handle life’s little ups and down. If you have family and / or friends who are displaying this type of behavior, show empathy and love by helping them comprehend the negative effects that persist when they chose to concentrate on their health issues in a pessimistic way. Sometimes it becomes a habit and they don’t even realize how often it occurs.

Behaviors can be changed, so make up your mind to age with GRACE and not just age.

Let’s Get Crafty – Making a Smudging Stick

Making a Smudging Stick

Be aware of any dangerous chemical reactions or allergies to the plants being used. If you intend to burn a plant in a smudge stick do your research into the plant first to ensure that what you are burning is not dangerous to your health. Always find out if you are allergic first, and have another person on hand or ready to help you if something goes wrong. Call 911 or the appropriate telephone number if a dangerous condition occurs.

Always be careful of how you burn your smudge stick, ensuring that you do not burn yourself. Always use proper fire preventative measures; place burning objects within or upon the appropriate fire burning apparatus. Be aware that holding the smudge stick within your hands can result in burning your hands.

When wrapping the bundle, you should be careful to wrap tightly enough to hold the stems and leaves in place, but not to cut them.

Humidity is a factor in dry time, ensure that your bundle has dried fully before attempting to burn it.

Ensure that there is no mold/mildew growth upon your bundle before burning it.

~Ingredients~

  • Herb(s) appropriate for the smudging
  • String that will safely burn, such as jute line or cotton string

~Process~

  1. Select your fresh herb from the plant (unless you can get long stems of plants elsewhere).
  2. Cut the plant according to size. Plants which are more leafy should be cut in smaller sections, and those that are less leafy can be cut in larger sections.
  3. Cut the string to a good length, such as five to six feet.
  4. Place the pieces according to like, stems to stems and leafs to leafs.
  5. Wrap string around the base, leaving a few inches of string loose.
  6. Wrap up from stems to leafs, then back again in a crisscross pattern.
  7. After returning to the base, tie the few inches from before to the end of your string.
  8. Trim if necessary to give a uniform look.
  9. Place your bundle in a place where it shall dry.

Your Ancient Symbol Card for October 16th is The Swan

Your Ancient Symbol Card for Today

The Swan

The elegant Swan is an ideal symbol of beauty and grace. Its flowing curves and fluid movement give an ethereal air of perfection realized. The Swan’s beauty embodies the feminine (Yin) qualities of intuition and sensitivity. But The Swan does not begin life as a creature who appears to be the creation of divine inspiration. Indeed at birth The Swan is an ungainly creature that lacks any indications of the magnificent being it is destined to become. The Swan’s transformation from ordinary to extraordinary have made it an emblem of discovering the beauty and power of your true self.

As a daily card, The Swan is a reminder of the beauty, creativity and power your true self embodies. In this period it is best to let the real you rule and be known to all–to remember who you really are and what you are really about. The Swan also marks a time when your creative powers may be at their zenith.

Invocation to Laufey

Laufey, Wise Goddess, I hail You.
Mother of Loki, Nurturer of the flame,
I honor You.
You are rooted and ancient wisdom,
The strength of the trees that wind their roots
Deeply into the earth,
Of rich dark soil,
Of solitude, and seasons,
Dissolution and quiet change.
You are patient endurance,
Wise weaver of the threads of fate,
Luck-warder, mother of warriors,
Fierce defender, skilled healer.
All of these things You have been.
You restore and rebalance.
You sustain
And grant to Your children
The enduring strength of the forest,
The quickness of flame,
The swiftness of light, liquid and untouchable.
Lady of the Leafy Isle, no ornament
To Farbauti’s hall but to Your own alone
Wherein You shine, ever shall I speak Your praises.
Hail, Laufey.

(One who has been chosen to do the work of the ritual shall bring forth the oat-cakes and herbal tea, and all shall eat and drink of Laufey’s generosity. The wine shall be poured out as a libation, and then all should go forth from the House to plant trees in some place that is needful of them.)

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – October 15

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – October 15

“All of us begin to rethink what is good about ourselves – put the past where it belongs – and get on with the possibilities of the present!”

–Howard Rainer, TAOS PUEBLO-CREEK

There is a saying, you move toward and become that which you think about. So the question for today is, what are you thinking about? Are you thinking bad things about yourself or are you thinking good things about yourself? Are you thinking about a worldly life? Are you thinking good things about people or are you gossiping about people? Are you focusing on past things or are you living in the future? We need to bring our thoughts into the NOW, right here.

Great Spirit, let me experience living in the present moment.

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 15th – ‘Love Your Body Day’

Today’s ‘Love Your Body Day’ is a national day of action to speak out in support of ads and images of women that are not offensive, harmful or disrespectful. According to reflexology (foot massage therapy) each part of your body corresponds to a spot on the soles of your feet, and by massaging your feet you can stimulate a healthy flow of Chi or good energy. Reflexology says that the toes are linked with many areas of the head. The heel, on the other hand, connects with the lower back, pelvis and sciatic nerve. By giving yourself a gentle foot massage (or having someone else do it for you), you’re giving your body a chance to balance and remove blockages. Gently press and rub the soles of your feet for a few minutes each day to reduce tension and improve your overall health. Love your body this way today and it will love you back for a whole bunch of tomorrows.

Daily OM for October 14th – Staying Conscious

Staying Conscious

Staying Grounded in a Big City or Busy World

by Madisyn Taylor

For a more grounded life, choose not to get caught up in the fast-paced world around you.

1. Live simply and live deliberately. By choosing not to get caught up in the details of this fast-paced world, you are doing your part to slow down the . You will also discover that you have more time to enjoy being alive.

2. Stay in touch with yourself. Soul searching, meditation, and journaling are just a few of the many activities you can take part in to stay aware and learn as much as you can about your emotions, reactions, likes, dislikes, dreams, and fears. Having a solid sense of self gives you a firm foundation for living in this world.

3. Support or teach others as often as you can. This can help you form connections with people while also giving you an opportunity to make the world a better place.

4. Consciously choose what you will allow into your being. The media bombards us with visions of hate, war, and pain. Be judicious about what you read, watch, and listen to.

5. Acknowledge the beauty that resides around you. Whether you live in a sprawling metropolis or a stereotypical suburb, there are natural and man-made wonders just waiting to be discovered by you.

6. Nurture your ties to your tribe. If you don’t have one, create a community that you can belong to. Modern life can be isolating. When you have a tribe, you have a circle that you are a part of. Its members loved ones, friends, or neighbors – can be a source of support, caring, guidance, and companionship.

7. See the larger picture. Remember that the way that you choose to live is not the only way to live. Widen your perspective by exploring other modes of being through research, travel, and discussion.

8. Embrace the challenges that life presents to you, and challenge yourself often. After a time, even the most exciting jobs or lifestyles can seem routine. Never stop assimilating new knowledge about whatever you are doing, and your life will never seem dull.

9. Move your body. In this busy world, it can be easy to live a sedentary life. Movement reacquaints us with our bodies and connects us to the earth in a visceral way. It also restores our vitality.

10. Make time for stillness, silence, and solitude. The world can be noisy, and we are subject to all kinds of noises nearly every waking hour. We are also often “on the go and unable to relax. Being alone in a peaceful place and making time for quiet can help you stay in touch with yourself.

GOLD: High spiritual vibration, integrity, respect, freedom, clear-seeing, integrating spirit and body, one with spirit.

Aura shapes:

The Fuzzy Aura

Lack of clear personal boundaries, tendency to take on other people’s work or problems. Issues with defining healthy personal boundaries and incapable of saying ‘no’ to others. Unconscious believing ‘if you want people to like you, it’s not okay to set boundaries’.

The Aura Wall

A defensive attempt to define personal boundaries. Putting up psychic walls and blocking out others to feel safe. Tendency to assert will through resistance and judgement.

Spiky Aura

Feeling threatened and ready for conflict. Deeply wounded. Usually a history of some form of abuse. Reactive. When a person has this kind of aura stance, they will often hurt other people–even those who may be trying to help.

Neutral Aura

Clear sense of Self. Able to define healthy boundaries with others. Takes self responsibility. Owns personal space without needing to fight or defend. Empowered to respond neutrally.

Aura sizes:

Large Aura

A large aura might demonstrate an intent to control or dominate others. Large auras can also indicate spreading ones self too thin and taking too much responsibility from others. When aura is spread out wide, it is easy to lose touch with Inner Self and become overly focused on things outside ones self.

Small Aura

A small, withdrawn aura often indicates fear on some level. Trying to hide, hoping they won’t attract attention. May be holding back energy until a feeling of safety to release energy to flow. When aura is pulled in tight,it is easy to lose ones sense of Self, as it shuts down the healthy flow of energy through your system.

Absent: Energy Out of Body

If one is unhappy with their life, or have been deeply wounded on some level, they may have a tendency to unconsciously “check-out” and be out of body, so to speak. While out of ones self, person can temporarily avoid facing any pain or problems. Eventually, spirit and body will need to deal with these issues. If one continues to keep their energy above their body, the end result is being absent, rather than present, for your life. Consciously leaving the body once in a while, however, is not generally a problem.

Healthy, Balanced Aura Size

A healthy balanced aura extends about an arm’s length around the body. With it, one can be aware of others and the world around them without losing sense of Self. Having an aura at arm’s length enables a person to being present, and allows for a healthy, balanced flow of energy.

Aura positions:

Aura at Front

Getting ahead of ones self and moving energy out into the future, often an aura will move out in front of a persons body. This can be the result of stress and anxiety. In turn, it can also create stress and anxiety. Might do this temporarily if in a hurry. Doing this on a regular basis can lead to posture problems and health issues. On a spiritual level, it can indicate living for the future rather than honoring the present.

Aura at Back

If one is dwelling on the past, the energy of ones aura will move out behind the body. Often this is the result of unhealed issues from the past or fear of the future. This can prevent people from moving forward in life resulting in further depression. It can also lead to posture problems. On a spiritual level, it can indicate making the past more powerful than present.

Aura meditation:

Sit in a meditative position and visualize a while or silver light starting to form in your legs and going up, until it covers your whole body. Once surround in this veil of light, envision the light growing brighter and stronger, clinging close to your body. One it’s at its strongest, release it, let it surround ones body to protect you through the day. Keep this in mind throughout the day, keep doing this daily until one feels their aura’s clean and strong.

SpellsofMagic.com

Your Daily Horoscopes for Monday, Oct. 14th

We start the day wearing practical shoes and trade them in for a pair of swim fins when the Moon swims into watery Pisces at 5:05 pm EDT. We may be motivated to demonstrate how efficiently we work because energetic Mars hooks up with pragmatic Saturn while the Moon is still in inventive Aquarius. However, answers are not difficult to find if we are inspired to reach beyond our normal conceptual limits and into the far reaches of our imaginations.

Aries Horoscope

(Mar 21 – Apr 19)

You’re wary of trusting your feelings now, since a rational approach to life makes the most sense. You might even try to rebel against what you already know in your heart. It’s not that you don’t want a more emotionally charged life, it’s just that you aren’t interested in giving up on your dream of stability. Nevertheless, you won’t be able to deny your desires, so stop trying to justify your inaction because you’re afraid of losing control. Indulge your heart without going too far.

Taurus Horoscope

(Apr 20 – May 20)

You might be quite confident now as you gain momentum on a project that was recently set aside. Perhaps each moment has you dreaming about making your life more pleasant. However, caution is advised, since you could push hard only to find that you’re reaching for the wrong star. But if you take a deep breath and pay careful attention to what you’re feeling in your gut, you could actually catch a glimpse of your new direction.

Gemini Horoscope

(May 21 – Jun 20)

Something shifts energetically today and suddenly you just know what you need to do. Unfortunately, your moment of awareness doesn’t necessarily translate into sustainable action. Although you may be back at work or school now, you might not feel very motivated. Try to avoid becoming too indifferent about what you want, for it is your passion that will ultimately bring you closer to your dreams.

Cancer Horoscope

(Jun 21 – Jul 22)

Anticipating a change of direction means that you must also shift the focus of your thoughts. You might think that you’re ready for new adventures, but you could also inadvertently push them away out of fear. It feels as if your entire life is moving too fast now, and that the pace is just beyond your control. You won’t be able to keep up with everything if you continue to hold onto the past. Fortunately, it’s much easier to handle the current intensity once you let go and embrace the future.

Leo Horoscope

(Jul 23 – Aug 22)

Your emotions grow more extreme throughout the day and there appears to be no way to escape the looming storm. Thankfully, you won’t be scared off by a little relationship drama if it helps you to recall something very important from your forgotten past. Remembering an old story can boost your current motivation and inspire you to make an overdue change. There’s no time like the present to take charge of your life.

Virgo Horoscope

(Aug 23 – Sep 22)

You are rejuvenated by a fresh surge of energy that washes through your life today. Unfortunately, it can be quite a challenge to figure out which way to turn. Seeking counsel from your friends or associates may not help you make a decision because your agenda is so different from theirs. Nevertheless, someone else’s perspective still gives you a different way to look at the same old thing. At least, another point of view provides an objective frame of reference

Libra Horoscope

(Sep 23 – Oct 22)

You don’t want everyone to notice you today, yet, paradoxically, you may be thinking about what you want to share with others. Unexpressed fear isn’t the only thing holding you back now. You also need to establish a daily routine so that doing your chores or homework won’t stand between you and your greater aspirations. Even if you are unsure of your destination, practice trusting your intuition. Your inner voice won’t let you down.

Scorpio Horoscope

(Oct 23 – Nov 21)

Being your same-old reliable self today is challenging if your daydreams distract you from what you must do. It’s not that you’re incapable of hard work; it’s just that you might have lost your edge as your motivation dwindled. It’s wise to push yourself now by getting others involved in your cause. Setting up a few appointments or meetings makes it harder for you to procrastinate. Once you’re finished with your tasks, give yourself permission to spend some time with your dreams.

Sagittarius Horoscope

(Nov 22 – Dec 21)

You might not be ready to return to work today. If you’re feeling restless, you may even want to hightail it out of the office and take some time off. Although you have a lot on your plate now, you could talk yourself into believing that your co-workers can, somehow, get the job done without you. Unfortunately, nothing much is accomplished without your effort and expertise, so find a healthy balance between productivity and relaxation to make everyone happy.

Capricorn Horoscope

(Dec 22 – Jan 19)

You don’t want to sit still today because you’re jumping up and down with an excitement that just won’t settle down. You might be tempted to hide your enthusiasm because you’re not interested in destabilizing your life. But your aversion to risky behavior that shows your vulnerability can actually block your intent to get closer to someone you admire now. Take advantage of your energetic buzz and let your guard down.

Aquarius Horoscope

(Jan 20 – Feb 18)

Settling back into an old relationship dynamic might seem like a great idea today. However, it’s still wiser to try to push through the resistance and make the necessary changes in your plans for the future. You could try to justify your overall safe approach to life right now, but tense aspects won’t likely let you get away with taking the easy way out. Make up your mind to move forward and then get busy creating the future you want.

Pisces Horoscope

(Feb 19 – Mar 20)

You want everyone to know how you are feeling today because you think that being transparent will make you less lonely. Ironically, you may be scared to reveal too much about yourself. However, the Moon’s visit to your sign draws your emotions up toward the surface where you can’t help but wear them on your sleeve. The choice is yours; you could make someone else unhappy with your sad song or you could make it better by changing your tune.

Daily Feng Shui Tip for Oct. 12th – ‘Universal Music Day’

On ‘Universal Music Day’ I’d like to share how to use tones on the musical scale to help heal any body maladies. According to Chinese medicine, two meridians are critical to the overall functioning of your body. One runs up your spine and is called the ‘governing’ meridian. The other, known as the ‘conception’ meridian, runs up the front of your body. They are also sometimes referred to as ‘the rod and the staff.’ When the tones of middle C and high C are played, sung or toned, the two meridians are brought into balance and a microcosmic circuit of energy is established. This should be music to both your ears and your entire body.
