Daily Motivator for January 13th – Too much to do

Too much to do

Are you overwhelmed by all the things you need to do? Then stop needing to do  all of them and start actually doing one of them.

The best response to being overwhelmed is not to impress yourself or others  with how overwhelmed you feel. The best response is disciplined, focused  action.

Don’t be stopped, or even slowed down, by the fact that you can’t imagine  getting it all done. Let go of your thoughts about what’s still left to do, and  give all your attention to what you are doing, right here and now.

In fact, it’s a good thing you have so much to do. So gratefully accept that  blessing and get going on the first task, and then the next, and the next.

You have a continuing stream of opportunities to make a difference. Keep  yourself busy transforming those opportunities, one by one, into real value.

When there’s much that must be done, pick the most important thing and get  busy. Get on the path to achievement, and keep going.

Daily Motivator for October 17th – Make it great

Make it great

It is nearly impossible for one person to quickly achieve great things. Yet  it is within any person’s reach to do small things, again and again, until they  add up to great results.

If you attempt to jump across a wide chasm in a single bound, you’ll fall  helplessly to the bottom. However, when you walk carefully down one side, then  across the floor and back up again, you’ll make it successfully to the other  side.

What is it you seek to do, or have, or become, or experience? Work on it  steadily, in challenging yet achievable steps, beginning right now.

Those who greedily want it all immediately end up with nothing but  frustration. Those who persist, and then persist some more with one step after  another, can reach whatever level they choose to reach.

The only way to truly enjoy the reward is to also enjoy the journey that  brings you to it. Every moment, every obstacle, every advance and setback, every  twist and turn is part of that journey.

Have faith, patience, purpose and unstoppable persistence. You’ll get there,  and will indeed make it great.

Daily Motivator for Oct. 16th – Stronger than the problems

Stronger than the problems

Do not seek to be free of the problems. Work to be stronger than the  problems.

A life with no problems would be a life with no opportunities for growth or  achievement. That’s not what you want, and it is certainly not realistic.

In the real world there are difficult problems, and there will always be. Yet  there are also countless possibilities for progress and true fulfillment.

Don’t waste your time fantasizing about a life free of problems. Instead, use  your imagination and your efforts to transform those problems into positive  value.

Embrace each situation as it is, along with all the problems. Accept that the  problems exist, and you can then begin to successfully work through them.

Life will always be challenging in one way or another. So rise to the  challenges and use your unique set of abilities to make life great.

Daily Motivator for October 2nd – Often enough

Often enough

Persistence is really quite simple, and extremely powerful. If you don’t get  it right the first time, see it not as a failure but as an opportunity for  another more informed and experienced attempt.

The best response to a disappointing result is more effort. Feel the  disappointment, let it make you more determined, and then move quickly to a  highly effective state of taking action.

Do what must be done, then do it again and again, and again. Even the  smallest action can have enormous impact when repeated often enough.

But how can you get back up when you’ve just fallen down? You do it by  reminding yourself it’s clearly the best choice, and then making the choice to  act in your own best interest.

Persistence is not always easy, yet it’s not particularly complicated either.  You’ve made the effort before, so it’s really not such a big deal to go ahead  and make it again.

Do that often enough, and your actions take on great power and effectiveness.  Do that often enough, and achievement is yours.

Daily Motivator for November 28th – Best response

Best response

Don’t resent the obstacle for being in your way. Figure out how to get over  it, under it, around it or through it.

It’s not the end of the world when things fail to go your way. It’s the  beginning of your quest to turn things around by making a positive difference.

If someone disagrees with you or criticizes you, there’s no need to take  offense. Instead, take the opportunity to learn something valuable about that  person’s perspective.

When you make an attempt and it doesn’t work, that’s no reason to quit.  You’ve just gained priceless experience, so put it to good, effective use.

When life is negative, your best response is to be positive. In fact, you’ll  find the best opportunities in the worst situations, so choose to make the most  of those opportunities.

A key ingredient of success is seeing that it can happen. And it can happen  whenever you choose.
