Good Day WOTC Family and Friends Here is a Thought for Today

I was very lucky to have a mom who I inherited some of my abilities from and was not upset when I manifested being able to talk to and see those who have crossed the veil at about age 3-years-old. My mom was a Christian but supported me in taking a different spiritual path when I reached 19-years-old. When my healing ability manifested around age 11-years-old she again did not try to stifle it or tell me not to use it. When she had knee replacements done and cataract surgery for each eye she asked me to help her with the pain from the former and to help her heal faster from both. She never tried to stop both of my paternal great-grandmothers from teaching me about medicinal properties of herbs. Unfortunately, I have forgotten most of what they taught as I got older and had a family of my own to take care of.

My heart goes out to those of you whose parents were not as accepting of different abilities as my mom was. I hope one day you all can come out of the broom closet and be accepted for who you are and the spiritual path you chose to follow.

Good Day WOTC Family and Friends Here are Some Thoughts About Fairies and Garden

Faries, Nymphs, Sprites, Wee Folk, Fea Folk all names we use to describe the small beings that can help a garden grow or bring much needed rain or a bunch of other things some of which can be aggravating. The man I lived with for 19 years, not the man I divorced 6 1/2 weeks ago, did not believe in anything magickal in anyway shape of form and took much pleasure in degrading me for my spiritual beliefs. What took me so long to leave him and his emotional and verbal abuse is a story for another day.

Today we are going to concentrate on happy things. Why? Because I am extremely happy with my partner, Big Dawg, and my life as a whole.

I had a nice size vegetable garden, about 12 feet long and 6 feet wide, even though we lived in town. I grew everything organically buying plants from a hardware store near my home that I know were organically started by the owner and his wife. After the first growing season was coming to an end my yield was fairly good, but I had only done a blessing on the land.

The next year I invited Fae Folk to live in a small hill adjacent to my garden. This year all I knew to bring them as an offering was warm milk, fresh homemade bread with butter I had made. A few came to start with, so I would put out the treats I made them weekly to thank them for helping my garden to grow. They would allow the wildlife to eat only from a special section I did just for this purpose if they started to stray into another part of the garden they were “herded” back to their section. In the wildlife section was a cherry tomatoes plant, marigold flowers, lettuce, and all the extra seedling I had from starting all my plants myself this year. I kept growing these seedlings all season long to put in the wildlife garden. I learned they like cinnamon, honey and anything sweet.  My garden had a large yield with the same number of plants as the year before.

The next year my youngest granddaughter was about 3 years old and asked if Fairies liked cake. I had a children’s book about Fairies, and it happened to have a special fairy cakes recipe. We gathered acorn tops as the book said to, to bake the cakes in. So we made a bunch of them and put some in the freezer to give to them another time or two or three. We served them warm milk, honey, and real butter we had made on every Monday throughout that years growing season. I have no idea what they did to help my garden grow but the yield was so big even after, canning or freezing things I had enough to give to friends and family.

This went on for a few years than my ex-boyfriend said since it was his house and yard he was planting the garden. Well not only did he plant some GMO plants he also use Miracle Grow in the garden which to me was poisoning the land. Not only did the wonderful Fea Folk not help in the garden because it was toxic to them they packed up and left. Needless to say that year was the worse yield from the garden ever. The same goes for the years coming after he took over. I refused to plant anything in that area ever again.

Today’s spell and the article about inviting Faires into your garden I felt were both good, so I share them with you. Fairies will come inside sometimes if they trust you 100% not to try to capture them. They will help your house plants grow as long as you use no type of chemical growth enhancement on them or on your outside plants as well.

Good Day WOTC Family and Friends Here’s a Thought for Today

Let Mother Earth/Gaia’s sights of beautiful things, sounds of harmony in nature, touch of a friend or loved one, smells of good things to eat and nature’s bounty, hearing all the beautiful things we share this planet with bring you joy, happiness, and a feeling of contentment to you this lovely day.

I have the privilege of having a Cardinal’s nest in a tree right next to our home! A few years ago, I had the honor of having a similar experience with a Robin’s nest. So, I am trying to do with mama and papa Cardinal the same thing I was able to accomplish with the Robin family which is to sit outside inching closer to the nest every couple of days until I can take a close-up photograph, like from about 6 inches away, of the babies being fed. I did this by letting the parents know I was not a predator but a friend by bring them something they enjoy eating, sitting and talking quietly to the momma on her nest so they trust me and are use to my scent. It worked with the Robins so I am hopeful it will work with the Cardinals also. I will post pictures of the nest and parents as I can take pictures of them with my cellphone.

The only problem is that I had to leave tree limbs across the only window in the house that gets sunlight for most of the day for my indoor plants and peppermint seedling, but it is so worth it to hopefully get friendly enough with the Cardinals that I get to see the babies fed.

Here is the picture I was able to get yesterday and a cropped close up of the nest.

Good Day WOTC Family and Friends Here is a Thought for Today

It is such a beautiful day here that my inner child wants to run in a field of wildflowers but the grown-up me knows it will bring on an allergy attack. So, instead I will walk by the unused railroad tracks a few feet from my home and see what is blooming there. I woke up knowing I had a to-do list but part of it can wait until later in the day so I can enjoy this morning walking and taking in what Mother Earth/Gaia has to offer for all my senses including what some call the sixth sense.

I hope it is nice wherever you live, and you can take some time, no make some time, for taking in Mother Earth/Gaia’s gifts that tantalize your sense of smell, taste, touch, seeing, and hearing the beauty left on this planet. Do not for get your sixth sense to open up to what is offered metaphysically!.

Good Day WOTC Family and Friends Here is a Thought for Today

Happy whimsical Wednesday everyone! I am sorry today’s posts are going up later than usual, but I was taking advantage of the cool morning temperatures to mow my backyard with a regular mower. We live on almost a 1/4 acer of land with a very small 4 room house that sits towards the front of it so needless to say it took me 2 days to get it all finish being the first cut I did this year. The very first cut we have someone come and do it because I would collapse if I tried mowing foot high grass with a regular lawn mower, but it is done now. A little bit more spring clean-up tomorrow morning and the yard is set for upkeep this summer. I cannot find the pictures I took to share of our beautiful yard, oh well lol. Anyway the posts are up now and the tomorrow posts will be done after I take a much-needed shower.

Remember to try to leave a patch of blooming clovers or something that flowers to grow wild in your yard for our Bee friends to have a place to eat and rest as they spread the pollen from almost every plant and flower that grows near you. Without bees we would not have the delicious vegetables and fruit we put on our tables.

Good Day WOTC Family and Friends Here is a Thought for Today

Staring Sunday, May 28th I am taking Sundays off from everything connected to WOTC.

Big Dawg and I need one day of the week just for us and our fur kids or family or yardwork or whatever we feel like doing. Plus I have found taking a day off is what I need to want to continue to bring you the regular and sometimes extra posts for the rest of the week. Also cutting down the number of hours I work on all things related to Witches of The Craft has helped a whole lot for my mental and physical health. That is why I posted those three surveys to see where I could cut down on the number of emails you get from us and what I could cut from the regular daily posts.

I am setting up a Patreon website that will have more advanced spells weekly, a ritual once a month and other content not available on WOTC. I am working on it a little each day and hope to launch it by the end of this week. Life in The Craft magazine will also be available through it starting with Lammas/Imbolc 2023 issue. The name of the website will be WOTC’s Lady Carla Beltane’s Grimoire. More on this project once it is launched. You can get on the wait list for Patreon by clicking on this link  WOTCs Lady Carla Beltane’s Grimoire Wait List

Have a fantastic Monday everyone!!

Some Information about a Touchy Subject – Domestic Violence

I want to touch on what maybe a very sensitive subject for some domestic violence and abuse. I have bee in this type of relationship more than once in my current lifetime and now that I have a man who treats me as an equal with love and caring I look back on those other relationships with fear that I was caught in the repeating cycle of not feeling as great about who I am. I am not going to get on a soap box and tell any of you to say in a relationship or not. I will say if you feel stuck getting told how dumb or worthless or fat or whatever negative thing your partner says to you, you may want to revaluate why you say in the relationship. Most of the time people, yes this goes for men also, in a relationship that puts them down and feeling like a second-class person is because they do not feel they are worthy of having a better partner or the biggest reason is financial. Please talk with the Gods, Goddesses, your Spirit Guides, or someone you trust to not go back to your partner with what you say to them about him or her and listen for their guidance.

Below is a link for toll free numbers for the United States that you can call for all different kinds of help no matter what your age. Good Day WOTC Family and Friends Here is a Thought for Today

I woke up in the middle of the night with my right ear feeling like there was fluid in it so I laid on that side and twisted my neck until I could feel it starting to come out and fell back to sleep. When I woke up this morning the ear felt heavy and full. Thinking ok I got a bad ear infection again but when I stuck my finger into it thinking it there was an air bubble not allowing the rest of the fluid to drain, I had blood on it. Scared? Definitely!! I rolled up the end of a tissue and put it in my ear it was soaked with blood when I pulled it out. So, I kept doing this until the tissue came out still white. I have no idea why it started bleeding last night but I can feel fluid back in my ear again. I am thinking a trip to an urgent care facility might be called for. Has anyone had this type of thing happen to them? If you did…Do you know what caused it?

Keep in mind I am almost totally deaf in my left ear from an inherited condition so having something wrong with my right ear really scares me. There is no way after being able to hear things for 65 years that I want to be deaf but if that happens I will deal with it.

Good Day WOTC Family

Happy and Blessed May New Moon!

A New Moon is just as strong for certain spells and rituals as a full moon would be! This is a time to start a new beginning spell and ritual.

This picture of spring in the sir is supposed to be able to be used as a desktop background. So, if you like go ahead and save it to put spring on your computer. I just put it on mine to make sure it does not have any nasty virus attached to it. It went through my two anti-virus programs and really brightens up my small office area (a corner of our living room).

The bottom line reason for the surveys coming out this week is spring cleaning on WOTC. We are only allowed so many pictures to be saved on our account so, do not be surprised if you go to an older post and a picture or line divider is now missing. No “Thoughts for Today” or “A Laugh for Your Day” will go missing.

As for my home I have only gotten the living room completely done with the kitchen and bathroom still needing some attention. Big Dawg is in charge of getting our bedroom done…which should prove interesting to when it will be completed…LOL. Yes, we have a small 4 room with a mudroom home. We love the coziness of it and believe it or not it gives Dreamer (Who will be 14 years old on August 14th Shepard/Pit/Rottweiler/Wolf/Chow mix), Merlin (our only male fur kid 11-year-old Shepard/Pit Bull mix), Cleo (14-year-old Min Pin) and Star (11-year-old Chihuahua) plenty of room to have a quite space all of their own. But most of the time it is Merlin on the bed with Dreamer, Cleo and Star somewhere in the living room. When Cleo, wants to left alone she goes to her, and I do mean her, bed in the kitchen. Then there is Star who hides under our buffet in the living room when I am gone, and daddy wants to take her out which proved very interesting…LOL… for him while I was gone in March for my grandson’s graduation from Army Basic Combat Training.

Today my grandson, Chris, will be graduating about 3:00 PM CDT from his Army Advanced Individual Training, for operating heavy construction equipment. I did not go this time because the alternator went out on our vehicle and the money, we had put aside for my trip had to go with a loan from my oldest son to get it repaired. I am there in spirit with him and his mom/my older blood daughter this afternoon! Thank you to everyone from my daughter, grandson, and myself for all the candles that were lit for him and prayers said. He will sort of be home for 9 days doing a mandatory Hometown Recruiting thing. So, he will be able to spend some home time with his mom, brother, dad, stepmother, and grandparents in Indiana. No I will not be able to go there while he is home one of our vehicle’s tires has a slow leak problem and it also tends to overheat a little bit on long trips in weather above 75 degrees F. But I will get to do a nice long video call with him I hope at some point in his being home. I am not sure where his first duty station will be but when I find out I will let you all know.

I want to again thank all of you who have taken the time out of your busy day to answer the 3 surveys!!! The surveys will be posted daily until May 28th for anyone still wanting a say in how daily posts are done on WOTC. Remember this is your website more than WOTC’s staffs and your preferences do matter to us.

Well, enough rambling for this morning time to get going on tomorrow’s regular post.

Hello WoTC Family and Friends and Good Whatever Time You Read This

Back after my day off and all set to get posting again.

We have had cool temperatures yesterday and this morning which I took advantage of to work in our yard. To my surprise, with a huge thank you to my right-hand witch Graphia for inspiring me to find out about plants and trees growing in our yard, I found out I have some interesting herbs and other things growing. I had cut or mowed over most things that just looked like weeds or over growth of obnoxious trees/plants last year. This year I took the time when weeding everywhere to take a picture of things that I might want to leave growing. I used my cell/mobile phone to take pictures of leaves and the whole whatever I wants to look up than used the share and search for Google to find out if they are keepers or just regular weeds.

I did unfortunately find two Pokeberry plants growing. Google came back with they are highly poisonous and should not be touched without gloves as touching the plant in anyway can lead to the, I guess, juice from the plant entering into a person’s blood stream causing all kind of nasty things to happen. So, these plants will be destroyed tomorrow morning when I finish weeding by the back fence. I would hate for any of the wildlife or our fur kids rubbing up against it and have a bad or even mild adverse effect. Before I start on today’s regular posts for tomorrow I am doing one on this dangerous weed/plant with pictures of it.

I wish you all a good morning/afternoon/evening to have some time to relax and enjoy the out of doors.

Good Day WOTC Family/A Thought for Today

Good Day WOTC Family/A Thought for Today

With the survey questions please remember you do not have to use or follow just one pantheon. I for example follow many Celtic and Native American some Egyptian and Wicca along with bits and pieces of other traditions in my personal practice. My patron god and goddesses are from Egypt, Ra, Roman, Luna, and modern Mother Earth/Gaia. So, if you want to vote for more than one pantheon please do. Many witches/pagans today are eclectic using what fits for them from whatever traditions they find something that touches their spirit and/or heart instead of just following one type of tradition. The main things is to follow what works for you! After I am done posting an overview of the different pantheon I will be combining the Gods and Goddesses post into one post instead of separate posts when possible.

A Thought for Today

I saw this in a group I am in on Facebook today. My first thought was, “This is an excellent question.” Than, “We are again being sterotyped.” May it should not have ruffled my feathers but it did. Up until about 14 years ago i still went primitive tent camping and never once did I cook in a cauldron. Close as I cam to it was a 3-legged cast iron Dutch oven.

I would love to hear what your thought or reaction is to this cartoon.

A Thought for Today

Good whatever time it is when you read this. It is sunny and hot here but by following the Old Gods and Goddesses I still see a beautiful day ahead of me.

Blessed be dear WOTC Family. My wish for you and yours is to have an awesome day.

A Thought for Today

Some of the tomorrow posts for the northern hemisphere/today’s posts for the southern hemisphere will be late getting up. We have to take Dreamer to the vets and with doing multiple posts already today I am typing and moving slower but they will be up before I go to sleep.

A Thought for Today

Remember to have some fun today!!

A Thought for Today

Remember yesterday is but a memory, tomorrow has not come, but today is the and a present.

Good Day Dear WoTC Family

I hope this finds everyone doing well today!

After a good 11 hours of sleep I am feeling a lot better. It amazes me how much sleep plays into a feeling of general wellbeing for the mind, body, and spirit. Sleep when interrupted by many things like nightmares or a beloved pet/familiar wanting a drink in the middle of the night or by physical pain just to name a few reasons can leave you feeling as if you had not slept at all the following day. My phycologists has given me three questions to ask myself each night before I go to sleep, and I took it a step farther by dumping everything in my mind that might make it hard to fall asleep in a journal. I did it for a couple of days and slept soundly than I skipped a couple of days and either had insomnia or nightmares so now I know this is something that will work to help me sleep well. Let me know these things help you to fall asleep easier or have a more restful nights slumber.

The three questions are:

What 1 to 3 things did you accomplish today, no matter how small? Yes, just getting out of bed counts or taking a shower or making yourself coffee…

Name 3 things you are grateful for happening today…

Name 1 to 3 things you can look forward to tomorrow…
