Lady A’s Spell of the Day for 8/30:Crystal Healing Spell ~Simple

Crystal Healing Spell ~Simple

You Will Need:

  • 3 candles- 2 light blue & 1 white
  • Allspice & Rosemary (equal parts each) or a Healing type incense
  • photo or paper with name of recipient
  • a small quartz crystal

The Spell:

Place the candles on your altar or workspace in a semi-circle with the white candle between the two blue ones. Place your incense burner above the white candle. Place the person’s name in the centre of the layout, with the quartz crystal on top.

Light the incense then the candles. Centre yourself and inhale the incense as you think of all ill health dispelling from the person and instead being replaced by healing energy, much as the air is filled with the smoke of the incense.

Gather your healing energy and when you feel ready, release the energy, directing it through the crystal and to the recipient who’s name or photo is beneath it.

Give the recipient the crystal to carry as a charm for continued good health.

Daily OM for August 30: Pattern of Pain

Pattern of Pain
Withholding

Emotional pain is at the root of our tendency to withhold, and this causes pain to the people subjected to it.
The most common form of withholding is what we commonly call “the silent treatment,” but withholding encompasses any unwillingness to express your true feelings. It also includes an unwillingness to give support, praise, or positive attention to the people you love. We have all known someone who is impossible to please, and many of us have suddenly found ourselves at the other end of a chilly silence with no explanation. At the same time, many of us will recognize our own tendency to withhold our emotions rather than express them. Most of us have seen both sides of the withholding dilemma. Emotional pain is at the root of our tendency to withhold, and withholding causes pain to the people subjected to it. It is a dysfunctional pattern that creates a breakdown in communication and understanding.

No one deserves to be subjected to withholding. Feeling ignored, disrespected, or shut out, and to not know why, is a terrible feeling. The first thing to remember if this is happening to you is that you are not to blame. You are caught in someone else’s pain pattern. This person does not know how to express feelings in a healthy way probably because this is what they learned when she or he was a child. The second helpful thing to remember is that the withholder is acting out of pain. They are stuck in a habitual mode of response that is self-defeating and alienating to the people they love. Remembering this will help you feel compassion for the person hurting you. However, if you have suffered too long with this pattern, you may need to get some space. Take some time to look at your own patterns and understand why you have taken part in this drama. If you are dealing with people in a family situation, you can step up to the plate to help break the chain of this behavior pattern.

If, on the other hand, it is you that tends to withhold, understand that this is a learned response and it can be unlearned. Find safe places to begin to express all that you’ve been holding back. Begin to make an effort to say what you’re feeling and thinking. Give praise to someone you love. The more you do this, the healthier you and your relationships will become. What was learned over a course of a life cannot be changed overnight—remember, one day at a time.

Your Daily Number for Aug. 30: 8

NONTOXIC FLYING OINTMENT

NONTOXIC FLYING OINTMENT

2 drops Sandalwood Oil

1 drop Jasmine Oil

1 drop Benzoin Oil

1 drop Mace Oil

Add these essential oils to the ointment base and anoint the body prior to an Astral Projection session. The Gazing Technique –
This is to be done when going to bed. You need something to focus on; if it is in view the moon, the stars, a crystal, a favorite doll will work well. Use whatever you like.
This method involves the body falling asleep, and you should never leave anything that burns unattended. Place the object within your view and lie down in your bed. Just stare at the object as you doze off. The first few times may be frustrating.
You may just fall asleep and that’s it. Keep staring at the object. As your eyelids become heavy, keep staring. Eventually your eyes will close, but you will still be able to see the object. You will still be staring at the object. Sit up or stand up, and don’t be surprised to see your
physical body sleeping peacefully in your bed! When you are out of your body, do whatever you wish.

Self-blessing

Self-blessing

Self-blessing is a good way to make yourself feel better when you are feeling down and dispirited. Prepare some purified salt water and center into yourself. Focus on the Mother aspect of the Goddess and ask her to bless your life and your body. Dip your fingertips into the water and press them lightly to your forehead, chest, and belly.

Put the salt water down and meditate on the power of the Goddess as it is expressed within you. At the end of your meditation, pick up a vial of scented oil and daub a bit onto one finger. Lightly press that finger to your left shoulder, then your right shoulder, your belly and back to your left shoulder, saying, “I am a child of the Gods and I live under their protection.”

Offerings

Offerings

Once a week, create an offering ritual to a variety of beings and spirits that you work with. These can be offerings to the Gods, the land spirits around you, devas, river spirits, etc. These do not have to be expensive or complex. “THINK on THESE THINGS”

“THINK on THESE THINGS”
By Joyce Sequichie Hifler

Whenever we stop to consider where we are on the road of life, we might also think about why we are there. Whether it is success or failure, or wavering in the middle of the road, we are where we are because of someone or something.

Nearly every person can pinpoint the time in their life when there was a turning point, a change for worse or for the better. And usually there is someone to whom they give the credit for such a change.

Throughout our lives we contact many people, and they each leave an impression. As living continues the combination of all those thoughts and feelings and actions forms our opinions, our likes and dislikes, our fears and our loves. But there is one basic factor in all of this that turns us one way or other – the individual, the personal self. It is how we take life, what we expect, how we do our daily tasks, where we place our values that makes the difference.

We are born with the right to choose – and whatever we choose there will always be someone there to help us be good or bad. But first, we must give credit where credit is due.

“God is making use of you – you should be grateful He’s found a use for you.”

–Mathew King, LAKOTA

The Creator can only create through human beings. Each human being has a purpose given to us by the Creator. We are on this earth to fulfill this purpose. Our only work is to make ourselves ready, to become a channel, to perform for the Creator. We prepare ourselves by prayer. We prepare ourselves by becoming unselfish. We prepare ourselves by seeking and choosing to walk on a spiritual path. Each morning we look to the East and we say an honor prayer to the Creator. We offer our gifts: tobacco and corn. We ask him to help us do His will for today. In this simple way, we still fulfill our purpose. It should be an honor to serve the Creator.

Great Spirit, today I am ready to serve You.

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – August 24

“The mind’s eye changes the way we judge things.”

–Fools Crow, LAKOTA

“What you see is what you get.” Our head has inside it a movie projector that projects out from our foreheads and shines on a screen a picture of our true thoughts. This is our reality. We can only see what we project (our beliefs). If we believe someone is a jerk, every time we see them we reflect our beliefs about what we think about that person and that is all we can see. Even if someone tells us this person is a kind, loving, caring, intelligent individual, we wouldn’t be able to see it. If we change our belief about them, that person will change and so will our judgment about that person.

My Creator, let me realize the power of choice. Let me see the advantages of changing my beliefs. Today, if I am judging my brother, let me change my beliefs to acceptance. If my thoughts are of anger, let me change them to love. Let my eyes only see you in everything and every person.

Deity of the Day for August 23 is ULIKUMMIS

ULIKUMMIS

Son of Kumarbis.  He was made to oppose Teshub.  There is also
mention that he destoys some of mankind.  However, he is actually described as
being blind, deaf, and dumb; as well as immobile.  He was made of stone and
placed on Ubelluris’ shoulder to grow.  He grew until he reached heaven itself.
When the gods found him, Ishtar removed her clothing and attempted to lull him
with music, but he didn’t see or hear her (as he was a blind and deaf creature).
The gods attempted to destroy him, but had no affect (he didn’t even notice).
Finally, Ea called for the Copper Knife that had been used in the seperation of
heaven and earth.  He then used the blade to sever Ulikummis from Ubelluris’
shoulder; lopping the creature off at the feet.  Teshub was then able to destroy
the creature totally.  It is interesting to note that this god’s name is the
same as a pair of twin volcanic mountains in Asia Minor.  This may explain why
he is said to be destroying mankind, even in his seemingly catatonic state.

The Power of Affirmations

The Power of Affirmations

Reversing Ours Fears and Negativity

From Gail Bell,

Affirmations are words or phrases which are said over and over to AFFIRM a single thought about yourself or other people. This is the way you have formed negative and positive programming through out your lifetime, saying things to yourself, about yourself, over and over. After thoughts are repeated, they soon become a BELIEF, and then we think this belief is our reality. In this way we form fears of poverty, health, weight and relationships and the emotions connected with these beliefs can even become our comfort zone, no matter how negative they might be.

Since we created these beliefs we can also change them. This is where real freedom comes from. Focused affirmations are a great way to start your new tomorrows. When you feel tension, stress, or any type of anxiety, an affirmation which makes you feel good is where you need to go. My favorite is: I AM POWERFUL. It makes me feel so good! However, for the affirmations to work you must not only say something which makes you feel better you have to FEEL the words. So, say whatever makes you feel good, then see yourself in a happy scenario doing or being your desire. See it, feel it, even taste it! The more emotion you have the faster you will draw it to you. Here are some affirmations you might use, but the best ones are ones you make up yourself:

  • I AM POWERFUL
  • MONEY (LOVE, GOOD HEALTH, PERFECT WEIGHT, ETC.) COMES TO ME EASILY AND EFFORTLESSLY
  • I AM ALWAYS BALANCED AND CENTERED
  • I AM IN PERFECT HEALTH
  • I GIVE AND RECEIVE LOVE ALL THE TIME
  • I AM JOYFUL
  • I LOOK AND FEEL WONDERFUL If it takes saying them over and over a thousand things a day, then do it. If you say an affirmation when you are feeling really down, and you don’t think it’s doing anything for you, just keep on. Every time you say something positive you will bit by bit feel better. A little bit of feeling better is better than lots of feeling depressed.

Go for it, and live in Love, Peace and Joy

Hello World! It’s Sunday, You Know What That Means….

…..it means enjoy the day to the fullest because tomorrow you go back to work. Sorry to remind you of that. But I hope you are having a fantastic weekend. I don’t believe I have done a think this weekend. I have a mile long list of things to do but I can’t get nothing done anymore. You might think this has nothing to do with what I was just talking about, but bear with me. I was watching a morning talk show and the topic was about getting older. How people suddenly realize they are just fine the way they are. They settle into theirselves and become comfort just being who they are. I got to thinking that is so true. When I was younger, I would put on the make-up, do the hair for about an hour, pick out the perfect outfit and then be ready to go. Sometimes I even did this just to stay at home. Now I don’t put on any make-up at all. I decided that was a waste of time. When I put on make-up, I thought it transformed me into a beautiful, ravishing creature. And I looked totally different. Yeah right! Well I found out when I quit wearing it, people still recognized me, they knew right off the bat who I was. Then it hit me, all the time I had wasted putting on make-up to be someone else. Why? I still fix my hair for about 15 minutes. I have let it do what it always wanted to do, curl. So I fluff some curls, grab a pair of short and a shirt to match and I off.  I realized that the talk show was right, when you reach a certain age you do become comfortable in your own skin. You finally realize that you are alright just the way the Goddess made you. I have found the inner me and finally made peace with her. Come to find out she a pretty good old gal. She is very comfortable with herself. She takes care of things that need to be done but she doesn’t rush  around anyway. She takes her time. She don’t get mad and upset. She is very laid back and she just loves to enjoy life. With this new me I have found, I could kick my own ass. She was there the whole time, why did I have to wait to now to find her? I know in my younger years, she would have made my left a heck of a lot easier. Then I got to thinking was she there then? Perhaps the me that I am comfortable with is a by-product of myself.  Wonder what I mean by that? Me, too! Seriously, I believe the comfortable me is a product of my environment and my actions.  But I believe she got rid of all the bad part os me, well not so nice parts anyway and left the good. She also has shown me what is important in life. I found out I had my priorities all screwed up. I have them straight now and I have fell back in love with my husband. I have put things into perspective. I know what is more important now. Like I mentioned earlier, I never seem to get things done. I get them done eventually but in the order of importance. You know if I have a comfortable me inside of me, I would bet you do too. Look inside yourself and accept yourself for who you are. The make-up, the clothes, the hair doesn’t make the person. It is the comfortable you that does. Don’t do like I did and wait too long to find her. Find her now and I guarantee you, you will enjoy life more than ever.

Guys, it just dawned on me, I have been a bad witch. I am so sorry that I didn’t use he/she in my writing, please forgive me. Truthfully I didn’t know where my writing was going. It was just rambling through my brain. So please forgive me and I will do better next time I promise.

Love to all,

Lady A

“…remember and think about the closeness of Wanka-Tanka. If they live in this wisdom, it will give them endless strength and hope.”

–Fools Crow, LAKOTA

The value of staying close to the Creator is the immediate help we have available to us whenever we need it. I can listen to the whisper of my heart for this is the place He communicates with me. Staying close helps me remember that we are here to serve Him and to help other people. The Grandfathers are my direct access to wisdom. He who has wisdom has everything. If we have wisdom, then we will see our lives become more effective in the areas of jobs, relationships, family, friends and finances.

My Creator, today grant me the wisdom to seek Your wisdom. Help me to Walk of the Red Road.
