White Magic Tarot

Card 1

Cause

Your social life may be taking over if you’ve drawn the Hermit in this first position. It’s great to be busy, but you’re redefining the term to extremes with all you’ve got going on! This card urges you to spend a little more time alone, contemplating where you’ve been in your life and where you’re headed next. Like the lantern on the card, you’re in for some serious illumination if you’re willing to fly solo for a while. Your friends will understand.

Remedy

The Chariot placed in this position asks that you consider a more assertive approach in the situation at hand. In order to build momentum in your life, get two tall orange candles, and place them on an altar (a mantle, table, or shelf works). As you light the candles, picture yourself moving through any blocks that may be present in this situation. See yourself achieving all your goals and dreams with ease. Repeat this ritual as necessary until you find success with all your endeavors.

The Sun

Growth, new beginnings, fertility, prosperity, solar magic, god

When this witches rune pops up in a reading, I typically smile. The sun means different things to different people; however, the fact that it sustains the planet also means it sustains our lives and brings an abundance of good things. Also linked to our solar plexus, vitality, health and self confidence.

A Thought for Today to Honor My Mom

M If not for my Christian mom believing in more than Christianity teaches I probably wouldn’t be the pagan I am today. When my ability surfaced at about 3-years-old to talk to and see spirits my mom took it in stride as she was a spirit talker also and never denied her ability to do this even when she got in big trouble from her parents growing up.

Today would have been her 88th birthday in this lifetime but she crossed the veil on August 24, 2015. She also believed in reincarnation so when her spirit is ready to incarnated again she will. There is still not a day that goes by that I don’t think of her both the good times and bad. My mom knew what unconditional love was and showed it to me time and time again. Did I fully appreciate her when she still walked this earth? No but with us being able to still communicate I have the chance to tell her all things I should of when she was on this plane with me. I very strongly suggest if your parents are still here with you that you make it a point to talk to them, thank them for helping you become the person you are today, and anything else you’ve wanted to tell them but haven’t. If they are across the veil you can still thank them and say everything you didn’t get a chance to when they walked with you.

Happy birthday my beautiful, opened heart and mind Mom!!! Thank you for always having my back and loving me know matter what I put you through good and bad. I love and miss you.

Khonsu lost to Thoth and then he gave away enough moonlight to create 5 additional days so Nut could give birth to her five children. It was said that before losing, the moonlight was on par with the sunlight. Sometimes, Khonsu is depicted as a hawk-headed god, however he is mostly depicted as a young man with a side-lock of hair, like a young Egyptian. He was also a god of time. The centre of his cult was at Thebes which was where he took place in a triad with Amun and Mut. Khonsu was also heavily associated Thoth who also took part in the measurement of time and the moon.

Northern Hemisphere

The Moon’s current phase for today and tonight is a Waning Crescent phase. This phase is best viewed just before the sunrise in the western sky. In this phase the Moon’s illumination is growing smaller each day until the New Moon. During this part of the Moon cycle, the Moon is getting closer to the Sun as viewed from Earth and the night side of the Moon is facing the Earth with only a small edge of the Moon being illuminated. It can also be a great time to see the features of the Moon’s surface. Along the edge where the illuminated portion meets the dark side, the craters and mountains cast long shadows making them easier to observe with a telescope or binoculars.

The Moon’s current phase for today and tonight is a New Moon phase. During this phase the Moon is too close to the sun in the sky to be visible. The moon rises and sets with the sun and is not present in the night sky. Because of this the night sky is darker and an excellent time to view other celestial objects. Like the Full Moon, a New Moon happens at a very specific time when the sun and moon have the same ecliptic longitude and it can be measured down to the second it occurs.

Weekly Horoscope Sunday, December 10 to Saturday, December 16, 2023

All Signs

Mercury has been slowing down for the last week, and this week on Wednesday, it becomes officially retrograde until January 1. Be smart and avoid shopping for vehicles, computers and cell phones. Ideally, avoid these major purchases until January 23, which is when Mercury finally catches up to the degree it was at when it first went retrograde. Admittedly, this is bad timing for holiday shoppers. However, it’s an excellent time to get in touch with old friends, family and colleagues who might have dropped off the radar. The New Moon on Tuesday might even trigger a new involvement with someone interesting and cozy. In fact, this is a good week to engage. Make an effort to make contact with someone. Of course, money can’t buy friends — but it will always get you a better class of enemies.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This continues to be a time when you want to get outta Dodge and travel anywhere for a change of scenery. After all, who loves adventure more than you? (Probably a Sagittarius.) Venus is in one of your Money Houses, which is good news! This means gifts, goodies and possibly cash will come your way. We like! (Money is so handy when you want to buy things.) Meanwhile, Mercury retrograde begins this week, and it takes place at the top of your chart, which means you will encounter authority figures from your past – parents, bosses, maybe even the police. Expect to run into or hear from someone, whom hopefully, you’re glad to see. (Is the posse after you?)

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

You are the financial wizard of the zodiac and right now two planets are in one of your Money Houses. You might encounter disputes with someone about shared property, taxes, debt, insurance issues or how to divide something like an inheritance. Fortunately, Venus in your House of Relationships, will make your dealings with friends and partners smooth and pleasant. You’re the epitome of charm! This week, Mercury retrograde begins in your Ninth House, which indicates travel restrictions and travel delays. Likewise, you might suffer from restrictions or delays with schools, legal matters or even something to do with medicine. (Some appointments take forever.)

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Remember that you need more sleep right now because the Sun is as far away from you as it can get all year. (In your chart, that’s about 6 inches.) Plus, fiery Mars is also opposite your sign, which means it’s easy to feel annoyed with others. But here’s the upside: Patience is a precious virtue. Someone who is annoying is actually an opportunity for you to practice patience. (You can’t learn to be patient when everything is great. You need to be provoked!) This is why someone close to you who is annoying is actually giving you a great opportunity. (Yeah, yeah, a positive spin – but true!) Fortunately, Mercury retrograde will help you settle disputes about inheritances, shared property, insurance issues and all that red-tape stuff. Finally!

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You’re busting your buns working hard this week. Of course, you will accomplish a lot because you’re putting out so much effort. (You might be a tad bossy while doing so, as well.) Nevertheless, you’re also partying! Romantic opportunities exist. Accept invitations to socialize with others. Enjoy sports events, movies, the theatre, musical performances and fun activities with kids. Meanwhile, Mercury retrograde begins this week directly opposite your sign in your House of Partnerships. This means you will hear from or run into an old friend or ex-partner or spouse. (Look good because living well is the best revenge.)

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

It’s still play city for you! (Yay me!) Now is your chance to feel free to enjoy yourself and do your own thing. You want to set your own priorities. You want to be amused and entertained. Get out to see sports events, movies, the theatre and musical performances. Go out for dinner or get away on a vacation. You will also have a greater involvement with your kids. Relationships will be more lighthearted. It’s a fun time! Admittedly, Mercury retrograde takes place in your House of Employment, which will trigger delays, goofy mistakes, equipment glitches, misplaced paperwork and late deliveries. Grin and bear it. Be smart and finish things ahead of time to give yourself wiggle room to deal with the unexpected.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Home and family continue to be your primary focus. In part, this is because some kind of chaos or increased activity on the home front demand your attention. This might also be due to residential moves, renovations, redecorating projects or visiting guests. Possibly a new pet. Fortunately, you will be gracious about whatever you’re dealing with because fair Venus is in your House of Communications softening your words and helping you to speak with dulcet tones to those who might be driving you crazy. This week Mercury goes retrograde in a part of your chart that deals with romance, the entertainment world, sports and children. Expect to run into an old flame. Even in a dream.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Your fast pace continues because you’ve got errands, appointments, people to see plus increased reading, writing and studying. Not only that, you’ll be forthright with your opinions! Although you are generally a diplomat, at this time, you will say what you mean and mean what you say. (Good for sales, marketing, teaching and acting.) You’re persuasive! You might attract money to you. You certainly will spend money on beautiful things. Meanwhile Mercury goes retrograde in your Fourth House of Home and Family, which means you will see family members you haven’t seen for a while. Stock the fridge because relatives might be camped on your doorstep.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

This is the perfect week to shop for wardrobe goodies because you will like what you see in the mirror. It’s also a great time to schmooze with others because you’re charming and diplomatic. Meanwhile, you’re keen to work hard to earn money, which is good because you’re spending it! Take note that this week (and most of this month), Mercury will be retrograde in your Third House, the part of your chart where Mercury “lives.” This guarantees transportation problems, transportation delays, missed buses, stalled vehicles, as well as mixed-up communications, missed appointments and maddening, goofy, silly mistakes. Take this in your stride. Mostly, it’s small stuff. (I hate having a flat tire.)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You are lucky to have the Sun in your sign boosting your energy and confidence. Meanwhile, Mars in your sign makes you forthright and possibly bossy. (Well, you are honest and even blunt because you tell it like it is.) With Mars in your sign, you’re much more of a fighter for your own rights than usual. Not only will you defend yourself, you will defend others. Your physical energy level is high, which means you’re getting a lot done. It’s a positive time for you. However, Mercury retrograde begins this week in one of your Money Houses, possibly creating delays. Cheques in the mail will be late. You might misplace items. Be careful that you don’t lose money or possessions. Keep your eyes open.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Because your personal year is ending, you feel you want to hide. This is why you will prefer to work alone or behind the scenes. Nevertheless, Venus is currently in your House of Friendships making this a great time to have a party or to enjoy groups of friends. People will be more loving and affectionate with each other. Any kind of group setting, whether it’s social or a business conference, will be agreeable now. This week Mercury goes retrograde in your sign! (Oh my.) This will create delays, misplaced items, missed appointments and goofy mistakes. But it will also attract ex-partners and old friends back into your world. Cope as best you can.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You are someone who values friendships; and right now, the Sun and Mars are in your House of Friendships. This is why your focus on groups; and friendships will particularly important. You might examine the role that certain friends or groups play in your life. (“Are these my people?”) Your idealism is also aroused, which is why you might be attracted to charitable organizations. Competition with friends and groups is also likely due to Mars. Fear not — you look wonderful to everyone because fair Venus is at the top of your chart making you attractive and charming. Meanwhile, Mercury goes retrograde this week, which bodes well for any effort to do research. Dig in! You will shine!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

The Sun continues to be at high noon in your chart, casting you in a flattering spotlight, which is why you look great to everyone. (It’s smoke and mirrors.) Use this to your advantage! You also feel ambitious about going after what you want, which is a good thing. Meanwhile, travel, especially travel for fun and pleasure will totally appeal to you now. Grab every chance to get out of town. This week Mercury goes retrograde in your House. Friendships, which guarantees that you will see people from your past – old friends or members of groups – which gives you an opportunity to rekindle old relationships. Because you are particularly optimistic now, people will be attracted to you. Enjoy this blessing!

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Eclipse Will Be Visible to Millions on Tuesday—Here’s How to See It

One of the night sky’s brightest stars will be eclipsed by the asteroid Leona late Monday into early Tuesday.

Millions of people around the world may be able to witness a rare eclipse on Tuesday, December 12. Betelgeuse, one of the biggest and brightest stars, will briefly disappear from the night sky as an asteroid passes in front of it to create a once-in-a-lifetime eclipse, according astronomer Gianluca Masi, founder of the Virtual Telescope Project.

Betelgeuse is a blazing red supergiant in the constellation Orion. A supergiant is the term given to stars nearing the end of their lives. They are the largest stars in the universe because they puff up and expand out into space in their old age, according to NASA. The large star will be eclipsed by the asteroid Leona, which orbits between Mars and Jupiter in the outer reaches of the main asteroid belt.

A Thought for Today

I felt the need to update you on how coven and I are doing. Myself I got my first full night’s sleep since the revelations of last weekend concerning a former heart daughter/adept apprentice/coven member real personality bomb went off. Sorry I don’t have a better word to describe what her betrayal felt like. The others in the coven have their only feelings about everything and I will not speak for them or break the confidence they have in me as their High Priestess by speaking out of turn. We all are upset over having to take her young daughter out of the coven also but for everyone’s safety we cannot let the mother have any way to contact or reach us after we banish her. Personally, I am hoping that after the daughter moves out (at least 5-years away) that she contacts me again to continue her training as a white or slightly light gray witch. 🙏🏼🤞🏼

Let’s go back approximately 18 months ago when the women first contacted me. She sent me an email about how her former HP treated her which from what she said I thought the woman didn’t deserve to be a HP. I have sent an apology to her via the universe as I realized everything my former student was either outright lies or greatly altered to fit the former students agenda. I am sure she will be saying the same things about me now all negative and that’s ok as I know who I am deep inside from shadow work and meditations to check where my spirit and heart are at. She is also an energy vampire which I think I mentioned before and was trying to drain me dry. She probably would have succeeded if not for a very strong healer, who happens to be my second cousin, didn’t keep cleaning sludge and dark entities off of me almost weekly. I owe my cousin a life debt that I hope I never have to pay because it would mean she was in mortal danger.

Many, many years ago when I was a teenager, I was in a very dark coven for 2 years, I am not proud of this after learning how wrong I was in some spells I cast and coven rituals I took part in. I now know I needed the experience in my life so I can hopefully see the signs in witches that come to me to apprentice them. But I definitely fell down with this person after I finally took the time and spent the energy to do a full body, inside and out, reading on her I could see the glamours and shields she had done so she appeared as a somewhat helpless women that just wanted someone to understand and support her. There are so much more signs that I choose to ignore including not listening to my Spirit Guides and Ancestors, but I will not bore you with them.

The reason I am going into any detail with what happened between this woman and myself is to warn everyone reading this to LISTEN to your Spirit Guides and Ancestors because I can tell you from experience that they will never steer you wrong. Their main job, at least in my life, is to keep a person safe and on their true-life path. This is something I really need to remember it’ll keep me away from this type of person in the future! This is the second energy vampire I have had to deal with since I started my online witchcraft school and coven in 2014. At that time all the red flags were there, and my Spirit Guides and Ancestors tried to get me to listen to keep me from being drained but I didn’t listen.

I will be back hopefully on Monday doing all the regular daily posts as Sunday there is a coven gathering to not only banish this woman from the coven but from all our lives as well. The daughter will be banished also but with a clause that she can contact myself only after she turns 18-years-old and no longer lives in her mother’s home unless she follows a dark path also.

Thank you all for your kind words and support during this rough patch in mine and my coven’s lives!

A Major Mess Up by Me and Why Limited Posts Until next Monday

I explained yesterday that I was dealing with a problem with what is now an ex-student of mine. Well things got “more interesting” when I was cutting cords between her, and I last night to find about she is a black witch able to do excellent glamour spells and shielding her true heart/spirit self. I missed one small cord which she used to go through me follow a cord I have with a cousin, who’s a powerful healer, and attack her with back pain so bad she couldn’t sleep and barely was able to get out of bed today for short times.

I also discovered she is an energy vampire with as close as I allowed us to get she was draining me some daily. Which explains why for about the last 16 months I have been sick so often and in horrible fibromyalgia flares. I had no extra physical energy to fight these off with.

The student I am talking about is Graphia, who at one time I referred to her as my right-hand witch in training. I feel the need to share her pagan name with you all just in case you had any private emails or other communications with her. Please if you did, put your protection whatever into super mode around yourself, family, and animal companion.

The reason I Am doing limited posts until next Monday is for the first time in my many, many years as either a face to face or virtual high priestess of a coven I am having to excommunicate a coven member and unfortunately because her daughter had started to study with me, I have to do the same to her. So, I am keeping my roller coaster energy away from the website except for current Moon phases, daily and birthday horoscopes. I hope you can understand my reasoning for limiting my time on here the rest of this week. I will not be answering emails until next Monday for the same reason.

I am very sorry I openly exposed you all to this person. I hope you can forgive me and continue being part of my WOTC family. Blessings of protection to each of you, your extend families, and animal companions.

I’ll Be Back to Full Posting Tomorrow

I am having to deal with a serious problem caused by one of my students/coven members. Because of things said and done by her I am having to do blocking and eventually a binding against her being able to try to do anything negative to others in the coven and associated with it. I am sorry this is taking me away from doing all the daily posts but there is a reason for that too. I didn’t want to bring the negative energy from how I am feeling to all of you. Just for your information Graphia is no longer part of WOTC in anyway especially as my right-hand witch she has been stripped of her duties and title.

Weekly Horoscope Sunday, December 3 to Saturday, December 9, 2023

All Signs

This week is the perfect time for teamwork because we will get more done by cooperating with others. Meanwhile, on Monday, Venus enters lusty, passionate Scorpio to stay until the end of the year. This will increase our interest in romance as well as feelings of longing and desire. In a timely fashion, there are several opportunities for spontaneous romance this week. (Woot!) At the end of the week, on Saturday the 9th, we can enjoy a great day to party and socialize! “Come on in! Get out of those wet clothes and into a dry martini!”

Aries (March 21-April 19)

A chance to travel is what you need. And if you can’t travel now, then make travel plans because you want to get outta Dodge. For those who can’t travel at all – be a tourist in your own city. Check out your local neighbourhood for places you’ve never seen. For the rest of this month, you will feel sexy and passionate! However, you will also attract money to you from your spouse, business partner or a third party like a bank or the government. Major bonus! This is also a great week to talk to bosses, parents and VIPs to ask for a raise or to make your pitch or move your agenda forward. (Thursday is the best day for this.) Continue to look for ways to boost your income because this is possible! Ka-ching!

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This is a passionate, intense week for you. On Monday, fair Venus moves into Scorpio, which is opposite your sign. This means not only will you enjoy passionate intimacy (who has time to record this in a diary?) — but with Venus opposite your sign, all your relationships will be friendlier, more lighthearted and happier. In a way, this is not surprising because with Jupiter in your sign, you have divine protection. Get ready for a lovely week. Make note that working with others is how you can be the most productive. It’s an excellent time to study and finish manuscripts, papers, screenplays or whatever. Dress so that you feel attractive. Make sure you like what you see in the mirror.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

You still need more sleep and more rest. Fiery Mars is opposite your sign, which might be challenging because when Mars is opposite your sign, it can trigger conflict with those who are closest to you. (This can even heighten tension with your enemies.) Naturally, all of this is exhausting. Fortunately, relations with coworkers are excellent. In fact, a work-related romance might begin for some of you. In addition, discussions about loans, mortgages, inheritances and anything to do with the wealth and resources of someone else – a bank, a third party or your partner – these discussions will go well. Things will be settled in your favour. (Bucks in jeans!)

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

This is a productive week because both the Sun and fiery Mars are in your House of Employment, which motivates you to work — and work smart. Many of you will delegate tasks to others to get things done. Fortunately, this week is not all work and no play. Au contraire! Venus has just entered the part of your chart that attracts romance and fun socializing! Spontaneous romance, new love and opportunities to party will dazzle you for the rest of the month! Meanwhile, discussions with partners and close friends will be productive. Thursday is the best day for important discussions with partners, close friends and members of the general public. You might inspire a group or an organization. “To the gates!”

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is a fabulous week to socialize! Accept invitations to parties, social outings, sports events, fun activities with kids, vacations and any entertaining diversion that appeals. One of these diversions might be romance – rip-your-clothes-off romance. Meanwhile, in another part of the forest, many will also enjoy redecorating and entertaining at home this week. Family relations will be rewarding and warm because people will express their affection for each other. (Everyone wants to be loved.) Nevertheless, this is a productive time. You’re working hard in a hands-on way because you have a busy agenda in addition to social plans. The best day to deal with coworkers, especially groups, will be Thursday. Everyone will listen to you then.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Home and family continue to be a major focus. Some tension or conflict might occur due to renovations, redecorating projects, residential moves or visiting guests. Fortunately, on Monday, fair Venus moves into your House of Communications, which makes all your dealings with others more pleasant. Plus, your everyday surroundings will become more agreeable. This is an excellent time to let others know how much you care for them. You will also notice the beauty in your everyday surroundings more than before, which makes this the perfect time for a pleasant drive in the country. Discussions about entertainment, the hospitality industry or educating children will go well, especially on Thursday.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Your busy pace continues! Embrace this accelerated pace and accept the fact that you have appointments, errands plus increased reading, writing and studying to do. It is what it is. You can handle this if you prioritize what you do and channel your time. (You’re good at this.) Meanwhile, you are a person who loves beautiful things and this week (in fact, this month) you will buy pretty things for yourself and loved ones. Fortunately, with Venus now in one of your Money Houses, you can attract money to you as well. (We like!) Family discussions will be positive this week. Likewise, it’s an excellent time to tackle home repairs. In fact, the most auspicious day for important discussions and tasks at home will be Thursday.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Money issues, earnings and cash flow are on your mind. You’re working hard to earn money because let’s face it, you’re spending it. (But then, it’s that time of year, isn’t it?) The good news is that on Monday, fair Venus enters your sign to stay for the rest of the month, which is good news for you. It will make you charming, diplomatic; and help you make peace with others. You will definitely enjoy good times with friends. This is a wonderful time to go on a vacation because Venus always ranks pleasure above work. Romance can blossom this week. On Saturday, grab lovely opportunities to party. Note: the entire week is an excellent time to negotiate what you want, but your best day will be Thursday.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

This continues to be a powerful time for you because the Sun is in your sign along with fiery Mars! Naturally, you want to be outdoors! You want fun and adventure! And above all, you want to travel! This is who you are! Fortunately, you will attract people and favourable situations to you, which means you might pull off some of these wishes and dreams. Meanwhile, secret love affairs will blossom for some. (I’ll never tell.) Another positive influence is you’re full of moneymaking ideas, which benefits discussions about finances, raises, promotions and your wealth and assets in general. In particular, Thursday is the best day to make your pitch. “Now hear this. Now hear this.”

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Another week with mixed messages from the universe. With the Sun hiding in your chart, likewise, you want to be a bit reclusive. Going out and getting involved seems to be too much effort. You want the comfort of your own privacy and keeping things simple. No decisions, please! However, completely countering this influence is the fact that Venus has just entered your House of Friendships, and very recently, Mercury has entered your own sign. This combination makes you want to socialize! You want to talk to groups and friends, especially artistic creative types. You want to teach. You want to enlighten. Ideally, you want to be quoted. Juggle these two influences as best you can

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a social week! You want to see people and you want to be seen. In particular, you will enjoy spending time with groups and organizations, which is an excellent choice because this week, everyone will be the most productive by cooperating with others. Teamwork is the motto. Some of you will be involved in group competitions and physical sports. However, on Monday this week, fair Venus moves to the top of your chart, which creates favourable circumstances for your ability to relate to bosses, parents, teachers and the police. Oh yes, VIPs will be impressed! (In fact, so impressed that you might begin a romance with a boss.)

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

You look fabulous to others because the Sun is still at the top of your chart, casting you in a flattering spotlight. Fiery Mars is also high in your chart, arousing your ambition, making you determined to go after what you want. On Monday, Venus moves into your Ninth House, which will make you want to travel for pleasure, especially to sunny climes with exotic surroundings. This is the perfect month for a vacation! Whether you slip away or not, you’ll be attracted to people who are unusual. In fact, a romance with someone different might blossom. Meanwhile, discussions with friends and groups will be productive, especially on Thursday. Enjoy your week.

Taking a Much Needed Mental Floss Day

This past week has been a super stressful one what with computers, printer, and scanner giving my all kinds of problems. Along with someone at the headquarters office for Big Dwag’s job, making a mess out of certain paperwork that has to be signed again and resubmitted. I’m talking over 200 papers that were done correctly but some person or persons hit a wrong key on their keyboard and erased his signature from we’re guessing at this point all 361 submitted papers are coming back to be resigned. It is very frustrating and time-consuming. Coming on top of monthly posts, I’ve spent too much time on the computer trying to get everything done for both our jobs.

So, today, I’m taking a much needed mental floss day and going to our towns Kris Krinkle market with some gal pals. I’ll be back tomorrow a lot more clear-headed and a lot less stressed, I hope.

Now to just get my laptop to talk to the printer and scanner and life’s stressors will go almost completely away. I will have help with that sometime later today.

A Laugh With/At Me Today

So, for us today was supposed be sleep in than get stuff done around the house and laundry. Well, the sleeping in worked 😄 but I have been stuck fighting with my desk top computer just to find out it isn’t able to convert from Windows 10 to 11. Something about my system being incompatible 🤷‍♀️. Likely I a small laptop with Windows 11 👍. I am having to use it after dusting it off. The reasons for the drastic change in how I work is do to our scanner wouldn’t work to scan thing as a PDF and our printer kept arguing with the desk top 😂. The scanner and laptop like each other. As for the printer and laptop are still sizing each other up because it’ll print than go into its, what I call it, stubborn mode that doesn’t want to print. Hopefully 🤞🤞 they will work out their differences and I can get some work down for Big Dawgs job. I am starting on the tomorrow posts now as well as getting up the monthly post for Astronomy Events and Retrograde planets for this month.

Wish me calmness so I don’t pull or my hair out or go on a mini rampage throwing all my electronic devices out of the front door.

The Full Moon for this month will occur later in the month on Wednesday, December 27th. The New Moon is earlier in the month on Tuesday, December 12th.

About December’s Cold Full Moon

December full moon is commonly known in the Northern Hemisphere as the Full Long Nights Moon. It takes its name from the winter solstice, which has the longest night in the year. The Full Long Nights Moon cuts a soaring trajectory through the wintery skies, in direct opposition to the low-hanging sun. According to Pagan tradition, on years that the Full Moon falls before the winter solstice, it is referred to as the Mourning Moon. For our early Pagan ancestors this was a time of cleansing by stopping bad habits to make one stronger to service the cold winter ahead. The Algonquins called this full moon the Cold Moon, in reference to the cold light it casts upon long winter nights. Strangely enough, in certain other cultures, December’s full moon can actually be associated with warmth.

To the Deborean Clan, the Cold Moon is associated with staying in your cosy home beside a crackling fireplace, surrounded not just by physical warmth, but also the warmth of family and friends. Similarly, the Wishram tribe named December’s full moon the Winter Houses Moon. Given that it coincides with holidays like Yule, Pagans consider this the perfect time to open up your home and provide warmth to those you love, as well as to those who are most vulnerable to the cold of winter.

For those who are more inclined towards solitude, the Full Long Nights Moon provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy your cosy home in peace and quiet. Consider taking lots of restful naps under warm, fluffy comforters, or allowing yourself to lounge in bed in the mornings instead of rising immediately to work. Appropriately, the Native American Zuni tribe called December’s full moon the “Moon Where the Sun Comes Home to Rest”. This full moon is a great time for you to take a long overdue break and recharge, so that you may shine all the brighter when it comes time for you to rise again.

This period of slow restfulness is also very conducive to introspection. When you look inwards and take stock of your life during this time, try to focus on loose ends and the little things that you’ve left hanging throughout the year. As the last full moon that rises before the year draws to a close, the Full Long Nights Moon is a time of endings. Take advantage of this full moon’s energy and bring an end to tasks you’ve been meaning to do, clearing your mind so you can move forward with a clean slate.

As much as the Full Long Nights Moon may be about endings, it is also about beginnings and rebirth. The Sioux Indians’ name for December’s full moon is the “Moon When Deer Shed Their Horns”, thus beginning the process of growing new ones. The Celts, on the other hand, call it the Elder Moon. Elder is fragile and easily damaged, but it’s also full of vitality and recovers very quickly. As the Elder Moon shines upon you, allow yourself to rest and heal from everything that has hurt you over the year, and focus instead on new beginnings and promising areas of growth. This is an excellent time to start planning your New Year’s resolutions and set exciting new goals for the upcoming year.
