The Daily Motivator for Feb. 12th – Get yourself through

Get yourself through

Wishing, complaining, begging and avoiding won’t do it. The way to get  through it is to go through it.

If there’s something you’ve been putting off, put it back on and get it done.  If there’s a problem that’s been chasing you, stop running, stop hiding and  start solving.

You can be amazingly resourceful and effective when you want to be. Now is  the time to want to be.

When the situation feels painful, imagine how great you will feel to get  beyond it. Imagine, and then manifest your imagined outcome by doing what you  must do.

There’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and its brightness comes from your  efforts. Make those efforts, keep that light shining brightly and get yourself  through to the other side.

You’ve made a positive difference many times before and you absolutely can do  it again. Feel your purposeful power as it successfully pushes you through.

February 4th – King of Frost Day

Witchy Comments & Graphics
February 4th – King of Frost Day

Prior to World War I, a fair was held on this day in London to honor the King of Frost. All the townspeople would gather on the Thames River, normally frozen over at this time, and petition the King of Frost to bring forth Spring. The festival died out during the war.

Along the Welsh border people continue to celebrate this day by gathering snowdrops, sometimes called Candlemas Bells. These bright flowers are tied into bundles and used to purify the hearth and home.

In Honor Of King Frost

Spring House Blessing

To encourage the return of Spring, tie a bunch of snowdrops with green ribbon and hang over the main entrance of your home as you repeat:

Candlemas Bells, snowdrops so white,
Cast away shadows, bring forth the light.

Your Charm for January 16th is The Ankh

Your Charm of the Day

The Ankh

 Today’s Meaning:

You may need help from a higher law to balance this aspect. This law could be a supervisor, a mediator or even a judgment through a legal venue.

General Description:

Throughout Egyptian civilization, which lasted some 6,000 years, charms and talismans played a conspicuous part, both in their religious and civil life. The Ankh, the symbol of life one of Egypt’s most popular and ancient amulets, was supposed to bestow upon the wearer, intelligence, power, and abundance. It was formed by the hieroglyphic RU, O, set on a cross, the loop RU representing a fish’s mouth (supposed to give bathe to water), and in this form represents the key of the Nile which inundates the country fertilizing the land and bringing prosperity. Most of the Egyptian gods are shown holding an Ankh, and their kings always carried on at their coronations.

A Little Humor for Your Day – Irish Joke

Irish Joke

John O’Reilly hoisted his beer and said, “Here’s to spending the rest of me life, between the legs of me wife!” That won him the top prize at the pub for the best toast of the night!

He went home and told his wife, Mary, “I won the prize for the best toast of the night.”

She said, “Aye, did ye now. And what was your toast?”

John said, “Here’s to spending the rest of me life, sitting in church beside me wife.”

“Oh, that is very nice indeed, John!” Mary said.

The next day, Mary ran into one of John’s drinking buddies on the street corner. The man chuckled leeringly and said, “John won the prize the other night at the pub with a toast about you, Mary.”

She said, “Aye, he told me, and I was a bit surprised myself. You know, he’s only been there twice in the last four years. Once he fell asleep, and the other time I had to pull him by the ears to make him come.”

Cloud Scrying

Cloud Scrying

Most of us watch clouds images at one time or another.  It is as if we are guided to look up and watch the patterns unfold at a given time.  Fluffy cumulous clouds bring messages, which sometimes seem to tell an unfolding story.  While flying on an airplane, it is fun to watch the clouds from above as if celestial art. You may receive telepathic messages while watching cloud images, coming from a spirit guide.

Throughout history symbols of political or religious importance have been seen in the clouds. In A.D. 312 when Emperor Constantine was marching against the army of Maxentius at Rome, both he and his entire army saw a shining cross of light amid the clouds.  It was said the cross contained the Greek words “By This Conquer”. Later that  night Christ appeared to Constantine in his dreams bearing a cross in his hand ordering Constantine to have a military standard made in the same image. Under this standard his outnumbered army was victorious. Down through history entire military battles have been witnessed in the clouds.

Daily Feng Shui Tip for Dec. 20th – ‘Mudd Day’

Today’s ‘Mudd Day’ actually commemorates the birth date of Dr. Samuel Mudd, who became notorious when he offered medical aid to John Wilkes Booth, the assassin of President Abraham Lincoln. And while the spelling is different, I would like to use these energies to offer an easy recipe for a clarifying and toning facial mud mask that will keep you from getting your hands dirty like the doctor. The ingredients include one tablespoon of clay powder (available from health food stores), one egg yolk, one-half mashed avocado and a bit of witch hazel. Mix all ingredients together until the mud is a smooth texture. Apply for 20 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. Pat dry and knock ’em dead.

Give your efforts wings and put a picture of a plane inside that area today.

Today Is Tuesday – Tiw’s Day

Today Is Tuesday – Tiw’s Day

“Tiw’s Day” or “Tyrsdagar” in Old Norse (Tuesday) represents spirit of justice discipline and integrity

Although, Tiw, Tyr, Tiwaz was a Sky God of war and battle. He is also the God of justice. When all else failed, you would want him on your side in battle because to have him on your side inevitably meant victory.

The Rune to use on this day is the arrow that points straight up, referred to as Tiw0 (OE), Tyr (ON), or Tiwaz (G). When things are not going exactly your way or you are still dragging from the weekend, remember that this Rune can be used in positive situations for the good of all concerned. It is a powerful Rune and should be used wisely. It enables you to have a good positive outlook in general and encourages well-being and good health. When the copier fails, machinery breaks down or the car will not start use the Rune Tiw!

A Little Humor for Your Day – Three Wise Women

Three Wise Women

Do you know what would have happened if it had been Three Wise Women instead of Three Wise Men?

They would have …

Asked directions

Arrived on time (December 25, not January 6!)

Helped deliver the baby (Midwives are also known as “wise women.”)

Cleaned the stable

Made a casserole, and

Brought practical gifts.

Pass this on to the wise women in your life.
