A Quick Note…..

In case you are wondering what is taking me so long, I have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands. We were never able to get the A/C fixed in here. Thus the hot weather plays a number on my hands. It has been in the 0-‘x with heat indexes in the triple digits. My poor, old hands can only take so much. I have heard several comments from my friends around here. But if you don’t keep moving, you will be so stiff that your fingers will never move.

Well I wanted to let you know why I was moving so slow today. Hopefully, we will get the A/C fixed, the swelling in my knuckles will go down and everything will be lovely! I can always hope, lol!

Daily Feng Shui Tip for Sept. 3 – ‘Labor Day’

It’s ‘Labor Day’ already — where did the summer go? If you’re traveling this holiday weekend then you might appreciate the next few drive-time tips aimed at bringing peace to time spent behind the wheel. This modality is called Feng Che, a cousin to the more widely known Feng Shui. Feng Che takes an opportunity to steer you to where you are headed with health, happiness and prosperity as backseat drivers. Feng Che (or Car Shui, as I like to call it) has some dictates that will help to keep negative energy from driving your mood. First, never leave clutter in the car. Treat the inside of the car as you would your home and realize that clutter can lead to the same sort of ‘ill Chi’ in your car as it does in any other space. It’s most essential that the center of the car remain clean and clear. This single space relates to the health of all those in the car. That’s enough of a reason to make sure that energies are smooth and flowing, just like the ride! Lastly, adding ten drops of lemon essential oil to an atomizer bottle filled with spring water and spritzing the inside of the car will help dispel odors and bring a bright citrus scent to your travel experience. Following any of these Feng Che guidelines will add another passenger to your trip, the one called peace.

Good Afternoon & Happy Labor Day, Sweeties!

Ahhhhh! I hope you are having a great day. I sure am. I am the only one here today. The peace and quiet is great. I have been into everything I can get into. Did a little of this and a little of that, casted this and casted that, lol! You know typical mischievous Witch stuff! I ain’t been that bad. But you know when everyone else is here and you are the boss, you have to have some dignity about you. It is just nice to have days were you can kick back and do what you want too.

I slept late this morning. When I got up I felt like a new person. My body was so relaxed and I didn’t have a pain anywhere. Oh, it felt so good! I went to the kitchen and made some coffee. I was looking at the window. It had been raining and gloomy as heck. Everything at the house was done. So I decided sitting there would be boring. I got Razzy (“baby” bobcat), put her on her leash and harness and we started out the door. We headed toward the barn. I got the four-wheeler out, picked up the 35 pound baby and put her on the back and started it up. I secure Razzy with her leash and she loves to go 4 wheeling. We took off and came down to the office. It is probably about 4 or 5 miles from my house. So it is a good, enjoyable ride. I get tickled, everyone takes a double take when they look at us. I guess they can’t believe their eyes. But I think everyone around here knows I have a pet bobcat. At least one good thing, that has cut back on the hunters shooting bobcats. Like I would let Razzy run free, yeah, right!

So we got to the office and no one was here! That was the way it was suppose to be, I have the keys. I would hate to have pulled up and there stood two or three of them waiting to get in. I wanted peace and quiet, I would probably have turned around and went back home, lol! I unlocked the door and Razzy took her usual stop, up on top of the file cabinet. Me, well, I sit down at my computer and just had a terrific time. Heck, I am still having a terrific time. Hubby wanted to go to the Parade but I didn’t want to be around the crowds today. I just wanted to let my mind unwind. You ever get in moods like this? Just say the heck with the world, you need some peace and quiet. I need the peace and quiet, to clear my mind and refresh my spirit. I think people just get too much on them these days. It is good to take a day off and say, “Phooey!”

But I am not going to “Phooey” too much. I am going to do some posting and enjoying doing it. Blogging helps me escape the world. I forget all my troubles and truly enjoy it. Especially when I am by myself. Otherwise, I would have someone running in going, “Hey, I just got this in, want to add it to today’s blog?” Never fails. When I am off in my little world, someone runs in. Well today, it ain’t going to happen and I am going to enjoy this to no end.

I hope you are able to get away and clear your mind and refresh your spirit today.

INQUISITION

Again the burning came,
She felt the heat, the searing pain
a cry lanced through her heart
“Why, My Lady, Why”

She lay quietly, remembering
lost within the labyrinth of the past
and the future
she did not feel the bite of the cruel blade.
Bleeding, moaning, she saw the man
his face, and heart masked with black
she knew his choices and his pain
Oh, to cause pain, to accept his own
if only she could Touch him, Heal him.

“I love you” she whispered
dark eyes calm, yet full of pain
“Don’t ” cried the man “I want to see you die”
“I love you and forgive you” she said

Daily Feng Shui Tip for Aug. 31 – ‘Love Litigating Lawyers Day’

I never thought I’d ever say this, but since I’ve lately had the need for them, I now love ‘Love Litigating Lawyers Day.’ In fact, I really love one litigating lawyer who has helped me over the past few years, as she is brilliant, savvy and smart. Yes, Lisa B., I mean you! But before Lawyer Lisa I met quite a few attorneys who held their own bottom line above my best interests. After more than a few interviews and those accompanying first meeting fees, I finally decided to activate my ‘Helpful People’ arena with the intention of finding the perfect foil for my foe. I located this space on my main floor and then put a small clear glass bowl there. In red pen I wrote a description of the perfect attorney on a piece of white paper and put that paper in the bowl. I was really ready to receive! Within hours a good friend, familiar with my family drama, emailed me suggesting that I might want to reach out to Lisa B., who shut down opposing counsel and client in record time and renewed my faith in a profession that takes some low blows. I blew into her life, she blew the opposition away and we all lived happily ever after. Well, at least from this side we did!

The woodbine that climbs the trunk of the old oaks has begun to change color. Bright red leaves drop to the ground and join the yellow ones that already have fallen. The cypress has pushed new knees through the surface near the pond, and sand plums are falling from skinny little trees near the barn.

Only a few signs that summer is coming to an end, but very definite signs. Owls call in late evening and hawks spread their tremendous wings and fly late into the evening, circling and circling hoping their sharp eyes will spot food on the ground.

Soon cool breezes will bear down on us and we will be glad for a sweater on late evening walks. Time passes so quickly and all the things we love about fall will be here. The biggest job of all is finding enough time to really enjoy everything before it all changes again.

Yeah, I know how you are now, lol! Just kidding! I am hoping you liked the post because you are anxious to get some goodies (fingers crossed).

Thank goodness, I am not running that late. But still late. I had to get into some html codes and that runs into time. That is why I get to do anything involving html. Everyone around claims they don’t know a thing about them. I am beginning to wonder, huh?!!? I might start teaching them. That would blow their minds, lol!

Symbolism is a part of all our lives. We see certain things and they call to mind a state of life that enriches or drains us of all hope. How like the old Indian chief in the book WHEN THE NIGHTBIRD SINGS. He heard the bird’s clear song at the midnight hour and he rose up from his death bed totally well.

The bird sang of good life and the old Chief heard it. Listen for such a song in your own heart because it may be a miracle for you and you can rise like the phoenix out of ashes to become a new person.

Life has its mysteries, but often those mysteries are more true than the things people shout about. Spirit does not shout to us, but what a wonderful thing when we hear Him whisper. The very breath of life, the holiness of a moment of truth. Listen and hear it.

Let me see beauty in all things.

My Creator, let me know what You would have me be today. Let my intentions be honest, respectful, humble and loving.

August 28 – Daily Feast

Everything that thrives is fed by the light. Lift up a rock, and the seed that sprouted beneath it is bent, stunted and colorless. But after a few hours of filtered light it begins to straighten, and will eventually throw off all the effects of being held down. We need, a li so qui lv di, a weight or a burden, lifted from our shoulders so we can grow and thrive in the light. We have to show willingness to stand on the rock and not beneath it. We know without being told when we have acted unkindly or behaved unjustly toward another. Intolerance, whether it is personal superiority or religious bigotry, serves only to isolate us from the greatest joy in life – the sharing of ideals and happiness and friendship.

We must be patient and fair toward anyone whose opinions differ from our own. There is a much better chance of convincing those whom we hope to influence by being an example rather than a voice.

It is much easier to be led than to be pushed and not so hard to be tolerant when we recognize within ourselves the reasons we are not always tolerant.

It sometimes becomes habitual to be dissatisfied with everything we see others do. We don’t take time to understand and know the basis for their actions. We often fall short of listening to them long enough to understand, and their next words or actions may explain it.

We cannot afford to be intolerant, because no matter how good our ideas are, there is always a better one.

Air in Feng Shui

Feng Shui, means literally “the way of wind and water,” or symbolically, “the natural forces of the Universe.” These forces affect everything in our world. Europeans call the science of Feng Shui geomancy. Hawaiians and Native Americans practice their own form of Feng Shui, each seeking to live harmoniously with nature. The ancient Chinese believed in and lived their lives by these natural forces. One of the strongest and oldest natural forces is call “chi.”

Chi, also known as the breath of nature or as “the dragon’s celestial breath,” is everywhere and, many believe, represents the truest abstract energy in the Universe. Chi is an invisible energy that circulates everywhere but gathers in certain places, which are said to be good in Feng Shui. Chi enhances happiness, prosperity and longevity, and it is the life force inside all living things. Good relationships, a healthful lifestyle and meditation can increase levels of chi energy.

In Feng Shui, winds are sometimes thought of as bad because they scatter chi, rather than accumulate it. When selecting a place to build a home or to hold a ritual, avoid places that are windswept. This can be hard if you live on the prairie or beside the ocean, but in those cases, just try to schedule your rituals on days when the wind is calmer. If you have a home where it’s windy, you might want to perform a weekly ritual to encourage the sylphs to leave chi where they found it.
