Daily Chakra Healing (Part 7) Saturday – Third Eye

Today’s focus is intuition verses fantasy: what is true verses what we want to be true. Intuition can be firm and, at times, quite loud, but it’s never panicked or rushed, even when change is long past due. Fantasy, however sweeps in with grand visions that have an urgency borne from the belief that this idea is the ticket. — the diet, the career change, the whatever that will finally create desired change.Fantasy is often package with fear of missing out if we don’t jump on its advice, so today, get curious about your inner dialogue and feelings. If you’re moved to pursue a course of action, what feelings and thoughts arise if you consider not doing it? When we ignore our intuition, we might feel a heaviness or dullness, as if some of the life has been drained from us, whereas thwarting our fantasies can trigger anxiety and the pressure to charge forward, no matter the cost.

Daily Chakra Healing (Part 5) Thursday – Heart

Thursday: Heart

Today’s focus is abundance not hording. The heart is the great connector between the chakras as the midpoint of those seven energy centers between us and all of life. When chakras are healthy, the heart has the support of the entire system, enjoying, for example the safety of the root and the vulnerability of the navel, which allow the heart to remain open and connected. This connection helps us perceive opportunities and support, and this generates trust that we will have enough without hording. Today, get curious about areas of anxiety and worry, areas where you feel you have to hold on to or prevent change for fear of loss. Can you sit with your uncomfortable feelings while simultaneously tapping into self-love? Shower yourself with green or pink light and bathe your worries in love. Does the addition of heart energy give you a glimpse of previously hidden options or ideas, and if so, can you take the next sense towards them?

Color: Green or Pink

Location: Center of the chest

Crystals: rose quartz, peridot, green kyanite

Food and Drink: Green and red foods, such as a salad of leafy greens with sweet apple slices and raw pumpkin seeds; tonic of aloe vera juice; herbal teas with hawthorn, rose, or jasmine

Daily Chakra Healing (Part 3) Tuesday – Navel

TUESDAY : NAVEL

Today’s focus is vulnerability versus naivete’. Vulnerability is often viewed as a weakness, but in truth it’s a superpower founded in trusting that our authentic expression is valuable and necessary. Vulnerability asks us to reveal who we really are, not a pared-down personality’s that act of giving ourselves permission to be ourselves. When we try to be what we are not, we lose touch with those gut feelings that steer us away from needlessly harmful situations. The naval helps discern between exposing the true self to enable authentic expression and intimacy versus sticking our head in the sand and exposing ourselves to danger. Get curious about areas where you’re pressuring yourself to adopt a persona, people please, or otherwise keep your true nature under wraps as well as areas where you might be overriding alarm bells — are there connections between the 2?

Daily Chakra Healing (Part 1) Introduction

The seven major chakras are vital pieces of your energetic puzzle, and what better way to boost their health than by devoting and entire day of the week to each one? Start each day with the following mediation, plugging in details from the individual chakra sections below [Each Chakra will have its own post].

Sit in a comfortable position and bring awareness to the area of the chakra, noticing any sensations. Does it feel open, heavy, jumpy? IS it east or difficult to connect with this area?Imagine the color of the chakra filling this area, and say three times, “I heal and balance my (name of chakra).” Ponder the qualities for the day, and take a few minutes contemplating how they appear in your life. Be open to thoughts, feelings, image, and other clues, and when you’re done, briefly journal your insights. Continue checking in through out the day.

The colors, crystals, and foods listed here serve as reminders of the focus chakra as well as spiritual allies in their own right. For example your red bracelet might remind you of your root quality of safety during a work meeting, which differs from your root chakra experience during yoga, and comparing the two leads to an aha moment. As allies, rose quartz could trigger heart chakra insights, while a sniff of rosemary might bring to mind and important memory in relation to your solar plexus. Keep in mind that this is less about isolating definitive answers and more about letting one question lead you to the next, like spiritual breadcrumbs that take you deeper into self-awareness.

A Thought and Chuckle for Your Day

13873051_1266037530082396_5866847843218106564_n

I know we all have days we feel like this I think Pug.

My advice sit, outside in the sun for about 20 minutes and ask Ra (or your preferred name for the Sun God) for his energy. Plus you will get you daily needed

Plus you will get you daily needed allowance of Vitamin D.

So a Win-Win all the way around. Please remember to leave a small offering, such as some water poured on the ground or if you have any type of rock garden add as small stone to it. As you do thank the Sun God for his energy and warmth.

May your slumber be restful and your dreams all pleasant ones.

Love, light and blessings dear ones.

Weekly Horoscope (N.H. Dates) Sunday, April 12 to Saturday April 18, 2020

All Signs

Power struggles are likely this week because the Sun is at odds with Pluto. This forces us to make radical changes in our lives. We have to let go of patterns of behaviour that are no longer valid. (Hey, if you keep holding on to a hot pot — you burn your hands!) With the breakdown of machinery and organizations, we have to straighten out situations that aren’t working. But as we start to fix them, and we see we’re capable of doing this, little by little, we build our confidence to meet our future. Abe Lincoln said, “The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.” Of course, there will always be the past. When I think of my past, I realize I was shorter and I weighed less.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Once a year, for four weeks, the Sun is in your sign, which rejuvenates and energizes you. You still have this blessing for one more week until next Sunday (April 19). Yay! Therefore, be grateful for this extra boost of strength! Meanwhile, Mercury, the planet of communications, is also in your sign; while your ruler Mars is in the part of your chart related to friends and groups. This powerful combo makes you proactive, forceful and ready to put your cards on the table. You will sway others with your words. But like Spiderman, you must remember, “With great power comes great responsibility.”

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

You’re keeping a low profile. Nevertheless, you’re active because Mars at the top of your chart makes you ambitious, and fair Venus in your House of Earnings attracts money to you. This is why those of you who are shopping online at home are buying beautiful things for yourself and loved ones. Because of the placement of Mercury and the Sun in your chart, this is an excellent week to do research. You will discover solutions to old problems and answers to old questions. Use this behind-the-scenes advantage because in a week, everything will change dramatically for you when the Sun enters your sign. All hail Taurus!

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

No matter what restrictions you are labouring under this week, you actually feel socially inclined. Because friendships and groups are important, you will examine the role that they play in your life. If you have a chance to work in cooperation with others, you will find this to be rewarding. With Venus in your sign, it’s easy to make peace with others. (You want to avoid fighting.) Venus ranks pleasure above work. Nevertheless, your creative vibes are hot, especially your interesting, intellectual ideas. This helps you to influence others and make a great impression on them. (“How do you get to Carnegie Hall?” “Practice!”)

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

For one more week, the Sun will be at the top of your chart. (This happens for only four weeks once a year, and when it occurs, you are royalty! People admire you now even if you don’t do anything extra special. Nevertheless, do not pretend to be something that you aren’t because eventually the to. (It always does.) A wise use of this advantage is to be a quiet leader for those who are nervous and unsure in these troubled times. You are a nurturer. You can reassure people that there is a future. Reassure them not to be paralyzed by the negative. Disagreements about jointly held resources and shared property are likely. On the other hand, your heightened sex drive might move this over.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Mixed messages exist for you this week. Mars opposite your sign will create tension and conflict with those who are closest to you. (This lasts until May 15. Patience!) You might also be in conflict with an open enemy, which means repressed grievances are out in the open. Countering this however, Venus is in your House of Friendship will create friendly relations with almost everyone. (Friendship brings love and love brings friendship.) In normal times, you would love to travel because you want to broaden your horizons. However, you can do this film, books and the Internet. You might also explore writing, finishing a manuscript or finish that screenplay?

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

The last few weeks have been intense, and this coming week will also be intense. However, the good news is that after this week, things will lighten up for you. Your focus on debt, insurance issues, taxes and shared property will take on a better perspective. This week, you’re psyched to work hard at whatever you’re doing. In fact, you will delegate duties to others as well. Because you look like you know what you’re doing, someone will ask for your creative advice about how to make something look more attractive. Meanwhile, some of you might develop a crush on an authority figure or a boss. (Let’s face it, a rich spouse is a great labour-saving device.)

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

The last few weeks have been exhausting. Courage — one more week to go. Grab every chance to get more sleep and more rest because you need it. One advantage that this week gives you is that you can learn more about yourself through your one-to-one relationships. Be objective. Think about how well you fill your partner’s needs, and how well they do or do not fill yours. Obviously, for your own benefit, you must be as good for your partner as he or she is for you. When Gandhi said, “You must be the change you want to see in the world” – this applies to relationships as well. If you want to be loved – be lovable and be loving.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You like to be productive. You’re no slouch. Right now, the stars are giving you one more week where you have energy and focus to work to get better organized in almost every aspect of your life. Use this to your benefit because it won’t always be this easy. One thing is certain, as you tackle the tasks that need to be done, you will experience immediate gratification. Admittedly, many of you are working according to someone else’s wishes or needs, especially because many of you are in medicine or crime prevention. Increased activity on the home front will bring two results: You will get more done but you might also experience domestic strife. Cool your jets. With your will power and self-discipline, you can be the “good example” at home.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Freedom and physical activity are survival issues for Sagittarius. More than any other sign, you find home isolation a challenge. Actually, after this week, you will be calmer because you will focus more on work or certain activities. But for this week ahead, enjoy playful times with kids! Enjoy relationships with your main squeeze because they will be lighthearted. Tap into your creative resources because it’s relatively easy to do this right now. Relations with partners and friends are warm; and you have no trouble expressing yourself to others. In fact, because you identify so strongly with your ideas, you are kinda argumentative! Lighten up.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You might find it tough to be isolated at home but the truth is you can handle this better than other signs. You have the discipline to do what it takes. Furthermore, you are community minded and will work on behalf of the benefit of others. Many of you are tackling home projects and DIY repairs. You might have increased responsibilities with a parent. You will be concerned with money because security is important to you. In fact, money disputes might take place at this time. The good news is your health is favoured. In close relationships, you are more concerned with practical matters and how to be useful, which is a good thing.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You’re feisty right now because fiery Mars is in your sign along with Saturn. In addition, both Mercury and the Sun are in your House of Communications. This means you have energy and drive plus the desire to enlighten others and interact with everyone around you. The tempo of your days has accelerated and you’re restless! Do what you can to get physical exercise so that you can blow off any pent-up steam that is building up within you – because this is happening. Fortunately, Venus is in a lovely place in your chart this week. Venus will promote relations with children and encourage good times for games and lighthearted activities. You will enjoy expressing yourself through fun activities because you want to have good time!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

You definitely have money, earnings and your finances on your mind right now. You’re also thinking a lot about your possessions and what you own and what really matters. This is a good time to go through what you own (yes, this includes your shoes and boots) and get rid of what you don’t really need. Go through cupboards, garages, storage areas and closets and try a Marie Kondo approach to everything. You’ll love yourself later if you do this because this is the time for you to get rid of “deadweight” in your life. This is not loss. Au contraire! It’s lightening up! Meanwhile, enjoy redecorating your digs and making where you live look more attractive. (Do yourself this favour.)

For Your Listening Pleasure

This post is dedicated to Coven Life’s Priestess Hypathis of Alexandria, who is working extra shift so the people in the “Old Age Village” sees a familiar face and make sure they have nutritious yummy meals to eat. Thank you, Hypatia for being a role model to many of us all over Mother Earth. Blessings of strength, comfort, and good health to you and your co-worker and the residents where your work.

Although this song mentions God singular I always add an “S” sing it out loud or just in my head. It also fails to name quite a few jobs people do for a living. Like the Ohio coal miners that work side by side with the Virginia coal miners. I also notice some first responders are missing such as doctors, nurses, and the entire support staff. If you think of a job that is missing please put it in the comments so they get the recognition they so deserve also, please.

If you live somewhere besides the USA please add workers and the jobs they do to help keep your country running.

A Thought for Today

I have a challenge of showing you care for others. Copy and paste the following on to your page: What could truly make us at least a little more content in our isolation is for each of us to reach out via any social media platform picking 6 people at random we don’t know and leave them a kind message so they know they are not alone. Also, attach this challenge with your message of kindness. Then in a comment on your post of the challenge list the first name, social media platform used, and country, they live in. Silly things have gone viral let us try to get something meaningful to go viral. Are you ready to spread kindness and hopefully easy someone’s loneliness?

I did mine through another social media platform.

Greetings Our Sisters, Brothers and Guests

As my wrist heals I am able to do a few more posts so I had decided to streamline them so I can get more information to you. It turns out there were only two small hair line fractures in the top bones of the wrist and should heal fairly quickly. I am very grateful for all the kind words, candles being lit, and healing energy.

As many of us in the USA and other countries are under governmental orders to “Shelter in Place” as it is called here I am going to try to find interesting things for you to read, watch, made even to do inside. They probably will not all have a pagan theme but I am hoping you find them all enjoyable. Please comment under the posts if you like., do not like, or do not care if the particular topic that is in the post and also tell us what you would like to read more about. This way I can bring you more things you like instead of just going by what I like. This is your website as much as it is mine and so is the Coven Life website.

A Thought for Today – Have You Thought to Thank Your Health Care Team?

In this time of uncertainty, stress, and worry about the possibility of you, a loved one, friend, neighbor, co-workers, etc getting the COVID-19 virus that we may forget our own health care team we see for whatever ailments we get or chronic conditions we may have. If you have a way, even if it is a note by snail mail, to thank your personal health care team and their support team that will not interfer with other patients that need to contact them because or illness or injury or whatever than please make sure to thank them. Besides thanking them for their selfness hard work keep them in your daily prayers, meditation, or whatever you call it when you communicate with the Goddess and/or God ask that they and their family stay healthy.

This is a small way to help these wonderful, caring people to know their efforts not just now with this strain of a coronavirus running rampant but them being there for you and others 24/7/365.

I was able to do this through a phone app for the umbrella group my doctor and her group practice they belong to called My Chart. I also plan to send a thank you for all you to do not just to my doctor and the health care team but addressed to the entire office to include the offices support stuff also. The support staff to me includes the receptionist, billing, etc. Without these people the office could not run as smoothly.

If you chose to accept this I send blessings to you and your family for good health, less stress, and positive energy.

Beginning the Sabbat with a Universal Prayer

Just before we begin our Sabbat, I would like to acknowledge all that has happened and is happening in 2020, before and beyond. It is a significant time of much change and challenges for both humanity and the Great Earth Mother and all within her. Let us take a minute to pray for the universal healing in this time of need.

“May the Great Mother and Great Father give us strength and refuge in our time of need. Help us to remain calm and strong in the face of uncertainty, help us find compassion without the overwhelming feeling of empathy. Great Mother and Father teach me humility, acceptance and to remember my kindness”

So mote it be……..

Ostara is the beginning of spring, the season for new beginnings and the renewal of life through planting. This is the time we can now plant seeds and nurture them throughout the coming months to bare their fruit. What is it that you would like to plant in your life? What are you willing to nurture throughout the growing season? For this ritual as this season is also a time for re-birth, new life and fertility we will be concentrating on the symbology of the egg. Think of the dark and light as the feminine and the masculine. The Goddess and the God resorting your outer and inner balance.

Mabon is the second of 3 harvest festivals celebrating the equinox and the harvest of apples. On the day of the equinox, day and night is of equal length. For the next 6 months the nights will be longer than the days.  This is such a great time of abundance. All the hard work that it takes to collect the harvest, it is now a time to rest, reap what you have sown and take the time to look at you hopes and aspirations and reflect how they have manifested. Most importantly spend it with the people you love. This is a time of giving, sharing and loving.

Cast the Circle:

Hypatia Casting the circle-

To the Guardians of the North:

I call you into our Watchtowers to protect us.

To the Guardians of the East:

I call you into our Watchtowers to protect us.

To the Guardians of the South:

I call you into our Watchtowers to protect us.

To the Guardians of the West:

I call you into our Watchtowers to protect us.

I cast this circle three times three with the assistance of the Great Mother and the Great God.

I call Upon the Guardians of spirit to protect us from above and below. As is above so is below, as is below so is above. May the power of The Great God and The great Goddess join us within this circle now, to protect us and to work with us and allow us to see beyond the veil.

Protect us Great Mother and Great Father for all gathered here and those afar who are unable to be with us. Allow no negative energy to touch us, to harm us and that nothing we call upon will harm us and others. We come together in perfect love and perfect trust.

Greeting:

Hypatia – Merry meet brothers and sisters and honored guests.

Everyone – Respond Merry Greet. Please tell us your first name and state or country you are from.

Ceremony:

Please ALL light your main altar candles (not the Mabon or Ostara candles as yet)

Ritual begins:

Ostara

Place green candle to your left and the white candle to your right. Leaving enough room in the middle to place your Yin/Yang symbol.
Place the Yin/Yang symbol in between the lit candles. Place the darker egg into the hole in the lighter colored side of the Yin/Yang and the lighter colored egg into the hole in the darker side.
When done type in “Ready.”
We offer these eggs to Ostara as all new life grows from an eggs or a seed.
Ostara we ask you to bless these eggs to help us renew ourselves as Mother Earth wakens from her slumber. That we may find new life coursing through us as cleansing energy.
Oak King we ask that your fertilize the hopes and wishes we have written here so they may grow and come to fruition as the year progresses.
As the Spring Equinox is the balance of day and night as equals so is the relationship of all males and females. We ask Hecate and her Consort to bless our relationships with others be they men or women. That we feel equal to them and not above or below them.
Take the eggs and set them on the side. Tape the circle of opposite color into the now empty holes. (Before breaking the eggs to eat them write the same runes on to the circles now in the Yin/Yang symbol. The side you write them on should be the same color as the egg they are written on.
We will take a 2 minutes to complete the Yin/Yang symbol. When you are done type in “Blessed be”.

Mabon

Your wand in right hand, facing your alter, arms stretched out above head……….

“Autumn Queen and Harvest God I honor Thee. As the change of seasons begins the Wheel has turned once more. A time to reflect, a time to come together in the here and now in this sacred space where all time becomes one. The second harvest has been reaped, now take the time to rest and feel the change as the season passes from one to the next.

My Mother, go now and slumber

My Father go now and dream of re-birth”

Arms outstretched, lower your head and close your eyes, sit in contemplation for 30 seconds.

When ready open your eyes and lower your arms

Pick up the apple and place it on the pentacle

Cut the apple crosswise to reveal the pentagram bringing the elements into your life

Lift the half apple up as in offering and say….

“The year gives way to the next as the season passes and the Great Wheel turns. Ancestors, Guardians and Wise ones guide me. Every begging has an ending and every ending a new beginning”.

Light your Mabon candle now

Take a bite of the apple, put aside to share with nature later

Take the tree branch and shake in each direction, starting with the North, then West, South, East and say…….

“Allow me to remember the summer past as the days grow longer and the days shorter. Memories will warm my soul as the sunlight fades and hearth becomes inviting through this divine light of the candle dedicated to the Mother and Father.

Great Mother calls me forward to rest and lull myself to sleep with her songs as I cling myself to her bosom”.

Face the altar and branch held out in front of you and say……

“May I never forget the summer memories and continue to strive during the colder months. May I take this time to go within and reflect on the Mysteries that lead me to a better understanding of myself, of others and all that is in life and death”.

Put the tree branch back on the altar, take 30 seconds to contemplate about :

The symbols that you have mentally attached to this ritual,

The various projects that you will put in action over the winter months, no matter how small or insignificant they may feel.

After the ceremony please feel free to share the consecrated fruit and vegetables in a beautiful meal with family and friends. Make a beautiful dinner for all to enjoy and be thankful for what is.

Weekly Horoscope Sunday, March 15, 2020 to Saturday, March 21, 2020

All Signs

This week Saturn leaves Capricorn (the suits) where it’s been since 2017, to enter rebellious Aquarius. (“To the gates!”) Saturn will be in Aquarius for only three months, then return to Capricorn to stay until the end of the year. (When it leaves, it will not return for 29 years.) This means the next three months are a hint of what is to come in 2021. Meanwhile, this week, on the Spring Equinox, the Sun enters Aries. As Little Richard would say, “There’s a whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on!” (Remember: Friends don’t let friends drive naked.)

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Once a year, for four weeks, the Sun is in your sign boosting your energy and bringing you good fortune. Ta da! That time has arrived! This means it’s your turn to recharge your batteries for the rest of the year. This month you will be powerful because in addition to the Sun in your sign, fiery Mars and Jupiter are both at the top of your chart. This makes you ambitious! It also means doors will open for you, allowing you to promote your reputation among your peers. This is a rare and opportune time so make the most of it! Get out there and hustle because things are going your way. As Patrick always says, “If you’re going to fish – go where the fish are.”

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This week you’re getting mixed signals. Because your birthday is a month away, your personal year is coming to an end. This means the Sun is “hiding” in your chart for the next four weeks, which makes you want to seek privacy to contemplate goals for your new year ahead. However, contrary to this influence, fiery Mars and Jupiter want you to get outta Dodge! They want you to explore your world by expanding your knowledge through books, film and study. Meanwhile, someone younger will grab your attention this week. (Great week to buy wardrobe goodies for yourself.)

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Your popularity will soar in the next four weeks because suddenly, everyone wants you on their team. (You love this.) In fact, some of you will become more involved in organizations and perhaps take on a leadership role. Discussions with authority figures – bosses, supervisors, teachers and parents, will be important this week because Mercury is high in your chart. This is an excellent time to think about your life direction in general. Meanwhile, disputes about shared property, insurance issues and inheritances might be an issue. Fortunately, because Jupiter is also in this part of your chart, you’ll come out smelling like a rose. You win!

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

For the next four weeks, the Sun will be sitting at the top of your chart. (This is the only time all year this can occur.) When it happens, it symbolizes that you are thrust into a flattering spotlight, which makes you look good in the eyes of bosses, parents and VIPs. (Even if you don’t do anything different or special.) It’s smoke and mirrors! Obviously, this is a blessing from the universe that you can use to advance your own agenda. Make your pitch! Go after what you want. However, keep in mind that even though you make such a great impression on bosses and VIPs, with Mars opposite your sign now, relations with partners and close friends are testy and challenging. Sigh. Nothing is perfect.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is a strong time for Leos! In the next four weeks, you will focus more on publishing, the media, the law and medicine. You want to travel and do anything to expand your world. You will explore learning new things, hearing lectures, going to classes, attending musical performances or doing anything unusual that is informative and educational. Meanwhile, relations with authority figures are fabulous! Don’t hesitate to ask for a favour. (In fact, things are so cozy, some of you will begin a romance with a boss.) Someone will ask for your advice about design, layout, furniture arrangement, regardless of what you do for a living. You will have something to say because you are a creative sign, who is quick to see the whole picture.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

No matter what you are doing, you will be more passionate in the next four weeks. You will be passionate about everything! (Not just sex, but that, too.) Your desire to travel and explore opportunities in the media, publishing and medicine are strong. With your ruler Mercury sitting right opposite your sign, you will be eager to talk to partners and close friends, and they will enjoy talking to you! Mars continues to make you competitive, especially in sports, as well as being playful and prankish! Mars gives you the freedom to demand to be yourself and express to others exactly who you are. (Don’t leave home without a rose between your teeth!)

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

For the next four weeks, the Sun is opposite your sign, which is (symbolically speaking) as far away from you as it can get all year. This means you will need more sleep. (Naps are wonderful.) Make sure you get your rest because increased chaos and activity on the home front could be frustrating for you. This activity might be due to renovations, repairs, DIY projects or visiting guests. For some, it might mean a residential move. Of course, these are expected activities because this year is the best year in over a decade for you to improve where you live by making improvements to your current home or moving to something bigger and better. Yeah!

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You’ll be in work mode for the next four weeks. This is a good thing. This influence happens only once a year and it means you suddenly want to be efficient and effective in everything you do. You will look around you to see how you can work better and improve things. You want to be better organized. This feeling is so strong, you will even want to improve your health as well! (“If I end up perfect, will my friends be jealous?”) Mars and Jupiter continue to enhance your communications making you effective in writing, acting, selling and speaking to others. Meanwhile, Venus is opposite your sign making all your relationships sweet and cozy. (Gosh.)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Lucky you! This week the Sun enters your fellow Fire sign, which totally pumps your energy! Specifically, it makes you want to party, have fun and do your own thing. Your primary drive will be to do what you want and to set your own priorities. Romantic relationships will be lighter and fun filled. Vacations, social outings and schmoozing with others will be tops on your menu. Sports events will be exciting and you will be involved with children more than usual. Fortunately, relations with coworkers will be supportive and cozy. Family discussions and home repairs are also on your agenda. Your overall theme of increasing your wealth this year will continue, which is why you are busting your buns to earn money (and spend it!)

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Your attention now tuns to home, family and your private life for the next four weeks. You might be more involved than usual with a parent. Having said that, by contrast, Mercury and Venus will encourage you to talk to others, take short trips and explore fun times socializing and enjoying the arts. As mentioned last week, you can do all this because Mars and Jupiter give you tons of energy right now. (Mars is in your sign for about six weeks every two years, and when it happens, you are PowerPoint on steroids!) Take advantage of this boost to your energy to accomplish as much as you can. You’re like the little engine that could. “I think I can! I think I can!”

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Whoa Nellie! As the Sun changes signs this week, it enters a part of your chart that makes you super busy! This is why the next four weeks are jammed with short trips, errands, appointments, tasks and conversations with siblings, relatives and neighbours. Ph yes, the pace of your days will accelerate! But fear not because this will be “fun busy”, not frantic. You’ll be curious to talk to everyone and learn new things. You have excellent moneymaking ideas as well at this time. Meanwhile, you will enjoy entertaining at home as well as redecorating your digs. Some of you might also explore real-estate opportunities because they do exist. Good luck!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

“Show me the money!” This week the Sun moves into your Money House of earnings to stay for four weeks. (This happens only once a year.) This also urges you to reflect upon your values both in terms of what you own, and also your abstract values – the values that govern your decisions. This placement of the Sun will also make you take stock about what you own. Do your possessions serve your needs or are you a slave to them? Do they get in your way? The next four weeks are the perfect time to address this situation. This is a happy time for you because you appreciate your surroundings and you also see how much love there is in your world. Competitive sports will appeal!

One Way to Make Your Own Besom Using Branches and Sticks

I suggest gathering these under a full or waxing Moon phase as they will hold more helpful energy. Your Besom can also be used to sweep out the negativity in your sacred place and/or wherever you are going to cast a circle. Remember to ask the tree you get your branch and sticks from even if they are laying on the ground no longer attached to the tree. It is always better to take what you need from a tree or shrub off of the ground beneath it rather than cutting pieces off the tree or shrub. Get a branch about 3 to 4 inches little taller then you are. Gather good size bunch of unstift smaller branches, I have found getting the sticks from under a shrub or pine tree make the best sweeping part of the Besom, if possible the size difference in them should be no more the approximately 2 inches in size. After gathering the branch and sticks remember to thank the tree for the parts it has given you and to leave an offering such as some water out of a container you have drank from. You need a ball of natural thin twine or some type of undryed vine. Tie the twine or vine to the branch making sure it is tight and will not slip off (you may want to by an angular cut about 4 to 5 inch up from the bottom of the branch to slip this twine or vine when securing it. (The size you have at the bottom of your Besom made from the twigs is up to you. Usually doing 2 to 4 layers of sticks make a good size Besom. Lay your first stick against the branch pull the twine or vine around the stick as tightly as you can, continue doing this until you have made you first layer of sticks pull the twine or vine in the opposite direction the you have been placing the in a tightly as possible and tie it off but do not cut the twine or vine. For the next layer you will follow the same instruction except lay the sticks in the opposite direction from the first layer. The third layer will go in the same direction as the first layer and the fourth layer goes in the same direction as the second layer. To help ensure you sticks stay secure to the branch at the end of each layer of sticks pour white glue over the sticks and twine or vine and make sure it gets down to the branch. If you want you can even put glue on the branch as you lay each first layer stick. Let each layer of sticks dry for approximately 24 hours before adding the next layer. When you have done the last layer and have used glue to help hold it together let the entire Besom dry a minimum of 72 hours before using it.
