Explanation: What’s happening in this strange juxtaposition of moon and planet? First and foremost, Saturn’s moon Dione was captured here in a dramatic panorama by the robotic Cassini spacecraft currently orbiting the giant planet. The bright and cratered moon itself spans about 1100-km, with the large multi-ringed crater Evander visible on the lower right. Since the rings of Saturn are seen here nearly edge-on, they are directly visible only as a thin horizontal line that passes behind Dione. Arcing across the bottom of the image, however, are shadows of Saturn’s rings, showing some of the rich texture that could not be seen directly. In the background, few cloud features are visible on Saturn. The featured image was taken during the last planned flyby of Dione by Cassini, as the spacecraft is scheduled to dive into Saturn’s atmosphere during 2017.

He is the watcher at the gate who guards the boundaries between the worlds and who charges all entering and leaving with caution. He is best known for his famous horn, but his sword is also important in the consideration of rune. Snorri mentions that the poetic name for a sword is
‘Heimdall’s head’, and the poetic name for a head is ‘Heimdall’s sword’. This is particularly significant if we consider that one form of his name was ‘Heimdali’, meaning ‘ram’. Through the image of the ram,Heimdall’s sword and his horn can be seen as two different sides of the same image. Both the sword and the horns (or the elks antlers) are symbols of power that may be used for either offence or defence, depending on the situation.
In terms of the journey, we have passed through death and rebirth, and must now face the Guardian before returning to our world. It is he who charges us to use our new-found power wisely. The person can no longer be simply concerned with their own personal development, but must now consider the effect that their actions may have on others. I don’t think shielding should be that difficult. You will need a good imagination and visualize what I am going to tell you. I recommend making shields that surround you like a impenetrable bubble. They can be any color you want, be creative.? I’m not sure how this will work for you but there will be two layers of shielding. The outter layer will simply protect you and prevent any thing from entering, while destroying it with its energy. If something breaks in, the second layer will protect you and will also repeal the energy and bounce it back to whoever sent it.? Shield your thoughts as well as blocking others from harming or influencing you badly in any way. If you think that as the purpose of your shield, then it will do so. The shield of the mind is created by a strong and happy memory. Think of the happiest moment in your life and imagine your mind and body being strengthened by it and helping you in casting the banishing spell or removing a binding. When shielding, believe that you are the master of your body, will yourself to do the banishing spell, and know that no outside force can break your defenses or curse you ever again.? While using spells made by other people can be just as effective, writing your own spells is not that difficult at all. In fact, in some cases, it is more than encouraged. Another person’s work will not resonate with you as much as your own words will. Even when working with a traditional spell, making modifications to the words to suit your specific goal can enhance the results.
Learning how to write original spells is important to you as a modern practitioner especially in times when the exact kind of spell that you are searching for cannot be found in a book.
Work a vague spell and you are likely to get a vague result. With the exception of a few special cases, the first secret to writing an effective spell is to be as specific as possible. This entails knowing exactly what you want. Try not to send mixed signals to the universe because if you do, it is likely to come back to you. A full moon provides the highest energy, followed by the new moon. Spells used to send things away are performed under a waning moon. If a spell needs to be performed during a specific time of the day or for several successive nights or days, follow it conscientiously.
A magick spell is more effective when you keep them in tune with the seasons. For example, you can do spells used to start things during the planting season and do spells used for obtaining things during harvest season.

Full-Moon Blessing Rite
Items Needed:
A clear glass bowl
One bottle of Spring water
Silver paint
One sprig of jasmine
One moonstone
One white pillar candle
Gardenia incense and oil
Inscribe the symbol(moon symbol with crossed spears on it) on the outside side bottom of the bowl with the silver paint.
Set your altar or small table so the light of the full moon will shine directly on it. Fill the bowl with the spring water. Place the bowl and all the other items called for on the altar. Light the white pillar candle and say:
Lady I now invite thee here,
As the Mother of sacred Earth.
Whose power is beyond compare,
When dreams are given birth.
Hold the moonstone and sprig of Jasmine in offering as you ask this blessing:
Lady of desire, reflection of light,
You are my motion, direction, and second sight.

Set the bowl down. Anoint your forehead with a drop of water. Allow the candle to burn for one hour and then extinguish it. Carefully place the bowl in a window where the light of the moon will continue to shine on it. Just before sunrise, remove the jasmine and stone. Pour the contents of the bowl into a bottle with a lid, and close tightly. Keep the moonstone with your other magickal tools. Take the jasmine to the nearest river or lake and toss it in the water as you make a wish. Use the moon water to anoint candles and other magickal objects.

Luna, the Roman Goddess of the moon, often identified with Selene, the Greek Goddess of the moon. Her temple was on the Aventine Hill, and there was another temple to Luna “Noctiluca” (Luna that shines by night) on the Palatine Hill. It was during Luna’s festival that the cover was removed from the mundus-ritual pit. This allowed the spirits of the Underworld to roam free. Thus, all public business was forbidden. Her other festivals were held on August 28 and March 28, at which times the focal point was again the removal of the mundus. It is likely that all secular activities were ceased at these times so as not to disturb or anger the spirits, should they damage the crops or obstruct planting and harvest activities.
