I hope you are having a terrific day. Mine, HA! The contractors that are putting in the fiber optic lines are BACK! And that means my cable, phone, lights and everything has been down for three hours. I have to go to the doctor later on this afternoon for my blood pressure. So I am going calm down, breath, calm down, breath! Hell it will be 200/180 the rate I am going. But I am trying to relax. I calmed down and answered all of the comments that were waiting for me. Which I found very relaxing, thank you for writing it helped me.
I did run across one comment that hit me like a ton of brick. I feel like the subject needs to be addressed. The comment was in regards to an article that was put on the blog about the Wiccan Rede. The author of the comment was giving the article hell because he/she interrupted it as throwing the Rede out the window and doing what you wanted to. I went and read the article myself. I caught it right off the bat, the article was written by a Witch not a Wiccan. I have said this time and time again but…….A True Witch does not recognize the Rede. The Witch answers to know one but herself. She does as she likes and she suffers the results of her actions. It is in a Witch’s heart to know right from wrong. Some do, some don’t. Let me rephrase that, they do but they do what they please. A Witch is a free spirit, very free. That article was written by a Witch, I hope that does comfort the reader’s mind.
Now, one more thing while I am chatting. I would like to talk about White Magick and Black Magick. You know there is no color in magick. I know this and you know this, but some of the people that aren’t witches that visit the blog, don’t. I do hope they read this today. There is no Black or White Magick! Magick exists! We have the ability to use it and we do. It is our intent when we conjure up a spell or ritual that determines the color of magick. Let’s me explain it this way, pretend magick is a balloon out floating in the air. Nothing special, just an average balloon. There are thousands of them, they all look alike. I go and pick one of those average balloons out. Now let’s say my intention with the balloon is something nasty. Like I am going to let the air out of it and pop someone in the head with it. Well that balloon just became dark/black because it is going to do my bidding. And my bidding is not good at all. Now let’s say, I go get another balloon and pick it out. This time all I want to do is hold it and watch it float in the air. I have nothing but good intentions with this balloon. So it is a white/good balloon. Do you see what I am saying? I know it is a funny example, balloons and magick. But basically the principle is the same. We have all these spells and rituals at our disposal. When we pick one up, we know what we intend to do with it before we ever touch it. That spell is just laying there waiting on us to tell it what to do, to do our bidding. We are the ones that make the spells and rituals, black, gray, or white. It is with our will and intention, that we do this.
Well now that I have all that off my chest, I guess I will put a few things on the blog before I go to the doctor. At least blogging is relaxing for me. I have one of the girl’s wanting to put a blood pressure cuff on my arm while I am typing. I am going to get the broom and sweep her out the door if she don’t quit, lol! But I am going to run for now and get something done, who knows what, but something.
I hope you have a great day. Wish me luck at the doctor’s office.
Luv & Hugs,
Lady A

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – September 9
“…[W]isdom comes only when you stop looking for it and start truly living the life the Creator intended for you.”
–Lelia Fisher, HOH
There are many things that block us from wisdom such as selfishness, secrets, hate, anger, jealousy and judgments. Another thing that can block us from wisdom is trying too hard or wishing something would happen. Wishing implies doubt and trying implies control. We need to let go of these things. We need to abandon ourselves to the Creator. As soon as we surrender everything, the wisdom starts to flow. The Elders know how to help us with this. Just ask them.
My Great Spirit, today I surrender my life and my will to Your care.
Today is the ninth day of the ninth month, and that means wish-fulfilling magic is in the air! In Feng Shui, the number nine represents happy and prosperous conclusions that can bring completion to certain cycles of your life. This happens before you embark on a brand new path represented by the number one. The reason that this number nine holds the highest mantle is that it is the last of the single digit numbers before the double digits. Consequently, on something called the Feng Shui ‘Magic Square’ (or Lo Shui) the number nine is always associated with transformation, recognition and rewards. But mystery surrounds this number too. The ancients buried their dead only on the ninth day. The Romans held a feast honoring their dead every ninth year and it was at the ninth hour that Jesus was said to have died. In Hebrew teachings it is said that God has descended to earth nine times. There are nine planets in the solar system and the number that symbolizes all of mankind itself is nine! It is also the number of force and energy and its purest form denotes ambition and domination over all. On this day try to do one or all three of these next exercises in order to gain the most magic you can from the mystical energies swirling all around: Knock on your front door nine times, visualizing opportunities and advantages coming through that same space. Put nine yellow roses in the center of your home and then light nine red candles in the ‘Fame’ area of your main floor in order to attract fortune and luck. Any one of these adjustments will put you in touch with the miracles surrounding this number, but enacting all three will put you in position of strength, power and fulfillment. Here’s to a day dedicated to the number nine!

An interesting new acquaintance may cross your path today. No matter how many times others change their mind, it’s best to go with the flow. The little voice in your head is often correct; don’t ignore it.
About the Number 5

This Tarot Deck: Old English
General Meaning: Traditionally, the card known as the Hanged Man usually indicates a lack of ability to help oneself through independent action. This energy is arrested and awaiting judgment. With this card, there is no avenue for the will to regain control until the situation has passed.
This represents a good time to be philosophical, to study and meditate upon the position you find yourself in, and form resolutions for the moment you become free again. Only those who possess wisdom, patience and optimism will be able to see through limitations, including possible humiliation, to grasp the inspiring lesson one can gain from such an experience.
9 Coll/Metageitnion
Taliesin’s Day
Color: Sky-Blue
Element: Air
Altar: Upon cloth of sky-blue set a chalice of wine, a cup of honey, a ring of keys, a single stone, and many blue candles.
Offerings: Words that you have written yourself.
Daily Meal: Any food transformed to look like something else, such as a subtlety.
Invocation to Taliesin
Hail, Greatest of Bards!
You who were once Gwion Bach,
A wandering child with no home and no luck,
You who minded the Cauldron of Cerridwen
And stole from it three drops of wisdom,
You who heard the language of birds
And fled from the Goddess’s wrath,
You who were hare and fish and otter,
You who were a bird and a single grain of corn,
You who were seized by Her sharp eyes
And devoured by Her questing beak,
You who grew to fullness again in Her belly
And were birthed forth a second time,
You who were cast into the sea and blown forth
Upon the shore of a far land,
You whose words bedazzled the throned ones,
You whose curse turns men to stone,
You whose song confounds and enlightens,
You who are the Power of Words
Cascading over our ears and our minds,
Infuse us with the Spirit of Inspiration
And may our own words gleam
With the treasure more precious than gold.
(One who has been chosen to do the work of the ritual pours the honey into the wine cup and stirs it, and takes it about to each one present, bidding them drink and saying, “May thy tongue flow with honey.” Each drinks, and the rest is poured out as libation. As this is the day of the God of Bards, one should be brought in from outside the house to sing or speak to all the folk present. They should be feasted as the reliquary of Taliesin, and given honor. Many books should be read tonight.)

A lifetime of learning I’ve set to these pages,
Some learned from fools, and some learned from sages.
This tomb contains musings: some wisdom, some rant.
Some will find truth here, some won’t and some can’t.
If your eyes fall upon this page, it’s meant for you,
For the Universe offers what you’re meant to do.
The Secret of Magic quite often astounds:
There isn’t a Secret! Just look all around!
The Trees teach you lessons – the Willow that bends.
The challenge for you: learn the message it sends.
By Example and Symbol the Universe speaks.
It may happen quickly or take many weeks.
Be aware what you notice – it needs your attention
If you’re going to hear what it’s trying to mention.
For the Universe rarely speaks loudly and clearly,
But it speaks all the time if you listen sincerely.
You’re here for a reason – to heal, teach and learn.
The better you listen, the more growth you’ll earn.
The goal, it would seem, is reunion with Spirit.
Learn lessons while here, don’t run from, don’t fear it.
Though we travel our own paths, our lives interlace.
We must all grow together – this isn’t a race.
So be mindful of others, and help when you can,
A bird, tree or pebble, a woman or man.
Material, Ether and Astral involved,
Work them correctly, your problems be solved.
Magic is simple, has rules, like Mundane,
Push or pull with your Heart and direct with your Brain.
The Emotions you raise will determine its power.
The more you project, that much sooner its hour.
The Thoughts that you hold in your mind as you cast
Tell the power its job – where to go and its task.
If your thoughts falter or change while you work,
Your focus is lessened – your power will fork.
Dual aspects to work with, the God and the Goddess,
Called Yang and called Yin – the names matter not, honest!
Yang feels like anger – you feel in your chest.
It jumps to the hand and for quick work is best.
Yin is much softer – it’s felt at the womb.
The power of Love and the peace of a tomb.
Yang is aggressive – Male “Get It Done Now!”
If you’re in a hurry, Yang does it, and how!
Yin is more subtle, for delicate tasks.
If you’re working with love, it’s the one you should ask.
All genders have both, their intensities varied,
And strong you will be with both energies married.
Be Humble and True, though, whatever your power. Sometimes you’re the lightning, sometimes you’re The Tower.
The Cards hold no magic, the Runes have no secret
That’s not found within you – if only you’ll seek it.
Negative or Positive? Sometimes you must give.
The Antelope dies so the Lion may live.
Remember, when tragedy breaks down your door:
Whatever you lose, you will gain so much more.
I know it sounds hard, when loss brings pain and sorrow,
But you will know joy again – next year, or tomorrow.
One thing that I’ve found, and I hope you will heed:
Ask not what you want from life. Ask what you need.
Ask what you want and it may come to you,
But ask what you need: What you came here to do.
This far through my Rede you have stayed and have read.
Down paths much like mine you are likely to tread.
I welcome you, joyful, a companion to walk,
For someone to listen to, someone to talk.
These pages are yours to accept or critique.
May your road straight to Spirit unfold at your feet.
Stay if you will, here, or leave if you must.
Blessed Be, One and All. Perfect Love. Perfect Trust.
– Brian Gallagher – author of this rede
‘Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! Our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exiles show unto us the blessed fruit of they womb, Jesus. Oh clement, oh loving, oh sweet Virgin Mary.’ It’s ‘Virgin Mary Day,’ that’s why.

You’re at your creative best today, and are a master problem solver. Help may arrive from an unexpected source, as may news or information from someone far away. Today is a day for optimism and honest sharing of feelings.

On ‘Google Commemoration Day’ let’s use that search engine to find and download one of the Feng Shui ‘Five Red Bats.’ This image will look like a circle with some red squiggly symbols inside of it and five red bats flying around the outside. Chinese legend has long held that when positioned properly in your living area any image of five red bats will attract the ‘Five Blessings of Feng Shui’ of wealth, health, longevity, love of virtue and a natural death. This symbol additionally represents being blessed with effortless prosperity, happiness, good fortune and a peaceful life with few problems. Or you can position those bats in your ‘Fame’ or ‘Future’ arena. A super secret Feng Shui cure says that to position this symbol so that the bats appear to be flying out of an empty vase or jar will activate the highest energies of fortune and luck found in this entire philosophy.

This Tarot Deck: Moon Garden
General Meaning: The central theme of what is traditionally called the Wheel of Fortune card is cyclical change. The Wheel keeps on rolling, churning events in a ceaseless progression of ups and downs, either way freeing us from the past. No one can escape its cyclical action, which can feel somewhat terrifying — no matter whether we are rising or falling. When one is balanced on top there is a moment of crystal clarity, but the only part of the Wheel not going up and down is the hub, which is your eternal Self, the Source of Freedom.
Every one of us will occupy all the points on the wheel at some time or another. The cycle of the wheel is its lesson — and we can learn to take comfort in it (as we do when we celebrate our birthday). If you don’t like the look of things right now, just wait — things will change. Of course, if you do like the look of things right now, enjoy it while it lasts, because that will change too!
Our regular Feng Shui interrupter is not available today. But I figured by the time you looked at Today’s Tip, you would probably figure that out, lol!
I am sorry. Hopefully we will have our regular article back.
64: Nearing Completion

General Meaning: The situation is incomplete, but the chaos of the past is slowly giving way to order, and the goal is in sight. Nevertheless, you are still treading on thin ice — the way ahead is unobstructed, the goal is clear, but a cautious and careful attitude is essential, lest you slip and fall.
Nearing Completion is the last hexagram of the I Ching. It suggests that the ever-spinning wheel of life never reaches an absolute conclusion. Just as a hidden sadness resides in the heart of true euphoria, just as the seeds of great achievement often sprout first in a cauldron of adversity, so too no end is ever really complete without a new beginning stirring inside it. Though we divide life into categories in order to understand and master it, experience itself is seamless. With this reading, the 64-spoked, timeless wheel of change is ready to spin onward, ever evolving, ever staying the same.
A situation that is represented by this reading can be compared to that of taking a lengthy trek over a high mountain. At some point before reaching the peak, you can see in detail exactly how much farther you must travel. You will have a good idea what it will take to reach the top, because of the climbing experience you’ve accumulated thus far. However, when you do reach the peak, which has been in sight for quite a long period of sustained effort, you will have done only that. You will have reached the top — achieving your initial goal — but you must still descend the other side. This last critical segment is what remains before completion.
You may have little information and no experience of what it’s like descending the other side of the mountain. All your attention may have been focused on the route up. The coming cycle may seem very strange to you, unlike anything that you have experienced before. The backside of the mountain is where all of the true mysteries reside. Proceed carefully, cautiously and alertly — then you will reach your goal.

This Tarot Deck: Marseilles
General Meaning: The challenge of what has traditionally been known as the Hermit card is to be able to recognize a teacher in a humble disguise. This font of mysterious knowledge will not make it easy for the student to acquire his wisdom, as it takes time and long contemplation to fathom what he knows. He often speaks wordlessly, or in ancient and barbaric tongues, communicating with the elements, animals and Nature herself.
While the hourglass was an identifying feature on the earliest Hermit cards, more modern ones have shifted the metaphor, showing more or less light released from his lantern. In either case, the Hermit card reminds us of the value of time away from the hubbub of civic life, to relax the ego in communion with Nature.

Our Mother who art all things,
Our Lady who art the moon, sun, and heavens,
Hallowed be thy name
By thy sovereignty of the sacred land,
Thy divine will be done
On Earth as it is in all realms
Give us this day our daily bread
Bless and guide us, Great Goddess
And protect us from all harm and evil
For thine is the power, beauty, and love
Forever, and a day. Ayea!
