Daily Correspondence

One Day is Not as Another

Daily correspondence is the way that the days of the week will relate to your magickal workings and the world around you.

We have broken this section into two parts.  The first table is a quick overview of the days of the week and how they correspond to different magickal workings.  The second section is an in depth study into different aspects of daily correspondence.

This is done for those who practice “high magick”. Though there is very little to do with Advanced Magick on Ancient Pathway due to the nature of that practice, we were unable to locate a comprehensive table for this subject, so we have provided it here.

Saturn brings a powerful, somewhat intimidating power to Saturdays. This is another great day for banishing and protection magic, as well as for setting strong boundaries. The energy of Saturn is very orderly and is great when structure is needed.

From Numerologist.com – Saturday’s Angel

Archangel Cassiel is the resonant Angel for Saturdays.

Known by many as the “angel of tears” he oversees the parts of life that we may perceive as limiting –  karma, trials, tests and lessons, old age and reincarnation. He is also the guardian of land, property, houses and farming.  It’s easy to see why he’s an archangel many would avoid, but if you lack stability in your life, and are willing to commit to long term goals by sacrificing immediate pleasures to get there, then he is your go-to angel.

He is serious and will help you deal with issues of a serious nature –  death, missing persons, psychic attack and the eradication of illness, pests and disease.  He is also here to assist us as we navigate boundaries and limitations, responsibility and authority, and our human mortality.  He is the archangel to invoke when dealing with injustices and enslavement and in moments of deep fear.

Archangel Cassiel is often depicted as an old man or holding an hourglass.

Invoke his presence and he will come to your aid to help carry your burdens and share your woe.  But he will also remind you of the necessity of hardship and the great learning that comes from the darkest hour.

Archangel Cassiel resonates with the colors of deep purple and black and with the planet Saturn.

From GypsyWolf.weebly.com

Thursday is the fifth day of the week.   In the Norse languages this day is called Torsdag, honoring Thor, the god of strength, fertility, thunder, the protector and defender in war, and son of Odin.  Thor is the counterpart of Zeus (Greek), and Jupiter or Jove (Roman).  Thor, the most beloved of the great gods of northern mythology, is the only god who cannot cross from earth to heaven across the rainbow bridge, for he is so heavy and powerful that the gods fear it will break under his weight.  It was said that whenever his hammer Mjollnir, was thrown, it would produce a thunderbolt and when struck against stone, it would create lightning.

Latin: Dies Jovis (“Jove’s Day”), after Jove or Jupiter, the almighty Roman God.

From Numerologist.com – Thursday’s Angel

Archangel Zadkiel (also known as Archangel Sachiel) is the resonant Angel for Thursdays.

Known as the angel of mercy, benevolence and compassion, he’s an incredibly powerful force, encouraging us to seek, and offer forgiveness.

He is a bringer of deep truth, understanding and connection to Source. One of his chief functions is to guide humanity towards a higher path, freeing us from the shackles of pain, guilt and shame.

Archangel Zadkiel is often depicted holding a small dagger because, in the Jewish story, mercy was offered to Abraham after he tried to sacrifice his son Isaac to God.  It was Archangel Zadkiel who called down from Heaven to stop him just in time.

Archangel Zadkiel is also closely associated with the Violet Flame, which is a potent spiritual practice of transmutation (you can read about it here).

Invoke his presence and he will lead you up towards higher octaves of Spiritual awareness and ultimately closer to God.

If you are looking to break through barriers you have to success and abundance, Archangel Zadkiel is also a powerful ally to invoke, as he can help you transmute old, unhealthy conditioning around self-worth and poverty, into states of prosperity and freedom.

As the guardian of memory, he can also help you remember your divine mission in life.

The Seven Alchemical Metals & Planets of the Week

From joedubs.com – To read more about the daily planets and metals

Ancient Mesopotamian astrologers devised a seven day week inspired by the heavenly bodies that wandered about the sky.  There were seven in total.  The equally sized flashlight and nightlight in the sky, the sun and moon, along with the other five wandering orbs of light thus form the basis of this alchemical cosmology.

The word planet comes from the Greek planētēs, meaning “wanderer”.  So by definition the Sun and Moon were considered planets to the Ancients.

Of the days that are not named directly after the seven planets, their name is derived from the Norse Gods associated with the respective planet.  The origin of Sunday is of course from the Sun in the sky.  Of the seven known metals, the Sun has always represented gold, irrespective of time and place.

Monday or more properly, ‘Moon-day’, is known as …

Viewing Guide

The Moon is Earth’s constant companion, the first skywatching target pointed out to us as children. We watch its face change as the month progresses, and see patterns and pictures in its geological features.

It’s the object in the night sky that humanity knows best ― and the one that’s easiest to study. Whether your tools are a telescope, a pair of binoculars, or just your eyes, you can find plenty of features on the Moon.

We only ever see one side of the Moon from Earth. That’s because the interplay of gravity between Earth and Moon slows the Moon into a rotation that paces its own. The Moon rotates, but it rotates at the same speed that it orbits around Earth. This keeps the same side always turned toward us. We call this being “tidally locked.

The Moon has no glow of its own, but shines with the reflected light of the Sun. During its crescent phase in the twilight or dawn, you can also sometimes see the dark portion of the Moon glowing faintly in the sunlight that reflects off Earth, an effect called earthshine.

You can look at the Moon during any of its illuminated phases, but for better viewing of craters and mountains, try phases other than the full Moon. The shadows on the surface will be more pronounced, and help distinguish features you might otherwise miss.

Eyeballing the Moon

Looking at the Moon with only your eyes, you see mostly areas of white and gray. These gray patches are solidified volcanic lava flows. In the Moon’s youth, its interior was still molten, and magma would erupt onto its surface. These dark areas formed when massive asteroid or meteorite impacts on the Moon’s surface created basins. Because the impact basins were often the lowest places on the Moon’s surface, they would begin to fill with erupting lava. The lava was similar to the basalt that erupts on Earth and, like on Earth, cooled to form a relatively dark-colored rock. We call these areas the lunar seas, or maria.

The lighter-colored areas are called the highlands, and show the earliest crust on the Moon, dominated by a type of rock called anorthosite, which is primarily made up of the white mineral anorthite or plagioclase.

What you see on the Moon with your eyes only will vary depending on your eyesight. Give yourself plenty of time for your eyes to adjust and look carefully. You may be able to see some of the larger impact craters on the Moon’s surface if your vision is sharp enough, including Copernicus, Kepler, and Aristarchus and Tycho. You may even be able to see some of the bright streaks that are ray systems emanating from the Copernicus or Tycho craters, created when material was thrown outward by the force of the original impacts.

Lunar Sightseeing

Pick up a pair of binoculars, and the Moon transforms.

With binoculars, you’ll still see the entire Moon at once, but now it’ll have terrain. Smooth-looking patterns of gray and white resolve into craters and large mountain ridges. You’ll be able to tell where the Moon is relatively undisturbed and where it’s been pockmarked by impacts. Binoculars introduce texture, especially when you look at the Moon when it’s in any other phase other than full. Focus particularly along the terminator line between light and dark, where features will cast long shadows that make them clearer. Choose binoculars with a magnification of 7 at a minimum. Though a magnification of 10 or 15 will provide more detail, you may need a tripod to steady them.

Under the gaze of a telescope, the Moon becomes too big to take in at once. Now you’ll see real mountains, and not just craters but the crater chains created when impact debris splashes around the main craters. You’ll see valleys, and the cracks in the Moon’s surface called rilles, formed when the lava that once filled a basin cooled and contracted. If this is your first time looking at the Moon through a telescope, you may feel the same wonder Galileo felt seeing that familiar orb in the sky transform into another world. Be sure to examine the Moon at many different phases and on different days. Parts of the Moon near the edge of the disk come into view at some times but not others, a wobbling phenomenon known as libration. Experienced observers can take advantage of favorable librations to see about 59 percent of the lunar surface.

Astronomical League Observing Challenge

Published: September 20, 2021

Take on a Moon Observing Challenge from the Astronomical League. This activity challenges you to complete each of the following tasks:

  • Do an outreach activity. This could be an International Observe the Moon Night event or any activity that encourages observing the Moon in general.
  • Observe the Moon with just your eyes. No equipment is required.
  • Estimate the Moon’s percent illumination. Not illuminated at all would be 0%, half-illuminated would be 50%, and completely illuminated would be 100%.
  • Make a sketch or capture an image of the Moon that includes at least ten of the features below. Indicate your chosen features on your sketch or image:
    • Mare Crisium
    • Mare Fecunditatis
    • Mare Frigoris
    • Mare Imbrium
    • Mare Nectaris
    • Mare Nubium
    • Mare Serenitatis
    • Mare Tranquillitatis
    • Crater Copernicus
    • Crater Tycho
    • Crater Rays from Crater Copernicus
    • The Woman in the Moon

For more information about this challenge, and to learn how to submit your sketch or image, visit the Astronomical League website.

Note: You may make your observation any time between October 15, 2021 and October 22, 2021. The deadline for submission is November 22, 2021. You do not need to be a member of the Astronomical League to participate in this challenge.

M43: Streams of Orion

Image Credit & Copyright: Jari SaukkonenExplanation: Where do the dark streams of dust in the Orion Nebula originate? This part of the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex, M43, is the often imaged but rarely mentioned neighbor of the more famous M42. M42, seen in part to the upper right, includes many bright stars from the Trapezium star cluster. M43 is itself a star forming region that displays intricately-laced streams of dark dust — although it is really composed mostly of glowing hydrogen gas. The entire Orion field is located about 1600 light years away. Opaque to visible light, the picturesque dark dust is created in the outer atmosphere of massive cool stars and expelled by strong outer winds of protons and electrons.

Ivy – symbol of strength and determination

From Ireland Calling

Ivy has many superstitions and beliefs attached to it.

Because it had the ability to form dense thickets in woodland, grow where other plants could not and block out the light from even the mighty oak, ivy was believed to be very powerful by the Druids, more powerful than its enemy, the vine and quite sinister.

Ivy tree in Celtic Mytholgy

The ivy and the vine have been seen as enemies since ancient times. This seems odd since the same Greek and Roman gods are associated with each.

Bacchus, god of wine

In Greek mythology ivy was sacred to Osiris and also associated with Dionysus. In Roman mythology Ivy was connected to Bacchus, the god of wine as it grew over his home land.

Bacchus is often portrayed wearing an ivy crown, perhaps because this was once thought to prevent intoxication. The poisonous berries of the ivy, when ground into a powder were also once believed to be a hangover cure.

The link between Bacchus and ivy was taken over to England where old English Taverns would display ivy above their doors indicating the high quality of their drinks.

The proverb ‘Good wine needs no bush’, meaning good wine speaks for itself, comes from this practice.

Gort, G – Ivy, a symbol of strength and determination to the Druids, is the twelfth letter of the ogham alphabet, gort, and the eleventh month in the Celtic tree calendar, representing September 30th to October 27th.

Protection from evil

In old Ireland ivy was thought to provide protection from evil when growing on or near to a dwelling.

However, if it should die or fall down then misfortune would fall upon those therein.

Ivy was often carried by young women for good luck and fertility. Used at weddings intertwined with holly, the ivy would symbolise fidelity and at Yule-tide, would bring peace to the household.

Ivy was also linked to inspiration and worn by poets in the form of a crown.

Getting to Know 7 of the Archangels of the Week!

Did you know there are specific archangels associated with each of the seven days of the week?

Dating back to ancient times, each of the different week days were named and believed to specifically correspond with different planets and with the gods or goddesses who ruled them.

The ruling deity of the day varied depending on the culture, but interestingly the planetary influences hold true, and I think you’ll find, continue to ring true today.

Before we get into the Archangels associated with each day, here is a quick look at the planetary correspondence for each of the days of the week.

Sunday- Sun
Monday- Moon
Tuesday- Mars

According to my research, it was in European times that people really began recognizing not only the gods and goddesses but also the Archangels associated with each of the planets, the thereby the Archangels associated with each of the days.

Of course, the higher spiritual realms of the Archangels are always accessible… But when first learning to connect it can be helpful to get a little added boost!

As always, if you want to work with angels, its key to ask for their help and assistance…

Witchcraft/Magickal

Monday

is associated with the planetary correspondence of the Moon, falls under the zodiac sign of Cancer and has the elemental correspondence of Water. This makes it an especially auspicious day to work on anything dealing with psychic abilities (enhancing, channeling, divination), emotions, intuition, fertility, healing and dream work. If you plan to do a candle magick spell on this day, using blue, grey or white will work wonderfully. Gods/Goddess associations include Hekate, Selene, Aegir and Thoth. Angel association: Gabriel. If you work with any of these deities or this angel, then a devotional spell and offering to them would be well-timed.

Sunday

is associated with the Sun and zodiac sign of Leo. I add Cancer and Aries to this because they are also associated with the Sun. The elemental correspondence is Fire, (shocking, I know). In my opinion Sunday is the most diverse day in terms of its spell correspondences. Spells for success, money/prosperity, healing, protection, insight, fame/power, attraction and empowerment are just a few of the spells that can be amplified if performed on a Sunday. Gods/Goddesses: Helios, Brigid. Brigid is the Goddess of Fire and the Hearth and is celebrated on Imbolc, which is known as the “Festival of Lights”. By invoking her on Sundays you can tap into her powers of illumination and maternal energy. Angel: Michael. Archangel Michael is the ultimate warrior. He can be petitioned to help aid your cause or to destroy an enemy. If this is an angel you work with often, Sunday would be an auspicious day for honoring him and offering him gifts of thanks.

The Eight Phases of the Moon

The Moon, Queen of the NIght, and starship of the Mother Goddess, is the influential planetary body in the sky. Our response to her power is deeply embedded in us. She comes to us with a history; the representation of her major phases is still replicated today — )0( — and is used to symbolize the covenant with the Great Goddess. Her eight Phases related to the solar cycle of Pagan holidays, and the symbology is analogous, as both cycles start with the absence of light and march forward sing the same song.

The New Moon Phase

At the begging of Moon’s cycle, she slowly emerges from under the beam of the Sun, where she has been resting and gathering energy for the coming journey. From 0 degrees to 44 degrees in her zodiac cycle, the New Moon celebrates the rebirth of light, just as we do at Yule. The maiden is setting the stage and magic is afoot!

The Crescent Moon Phase

In the Crescent Moon phase (45 degrees – 89 degrees), she appears in the sky like a slim harvest sickle. Her curve mimics the round belly of the letter D. With the faintest of light in the sky, this Moon is poised for action, energizing new projects with fresh power, and offering new challenges. This phase is related to the sabbat of Imbolc.

The First Quater Phase

Seven days after the New Moon, the First Quarter Moon (90 degrees – 134 degrees) can add balance and considerable magic to your endeavors that burgeon with life. The waxing phase is the time to plant your sees, be they ideas or moonflowers. You’ll feel the drive to get a move on, to let go of the past, and be aggressive in working new spells. Half of the Moon is light and half is dark, just like the Quarter Day, Eostre (Ostara) or Spring Equinox, which divides the solar day into equal parts of light and dark.

The Gibbous Phase

Gibbous is a wonderful medieval word that describes the hunchbacked swell of the lady Moon as she moves from Maiden to Mother (135 degrees – 179 degrees). It’s time to evaluate new growth, eliminating what doesn’t work and finding more successful ways of doing things. Refine goals and prepare for the work of the Full Moon. The Gibbous Moon indicates that the most powerful time for magic is about to peak. This phase is related to the sabbat Beltane.

Full Moon Phase

The Full Moon (180 degrees – 224 degrees) reflects the golden glory of the Sun, light the night for ritual or planting or other agrarian* tasks. Crystals, herbs, and oils bated in the Moon’s light will be energized and ready to dedicate for pathwork. Consolidate efforts to move towards completion in short-term projects. This is the last of the big energy in this cycle for growth, but major undertakings can still be aggressively be set in motion. Look to the mythology of Midsummer to find a more profound meaning of the Full Moon

Disseminating Moon Phase

The Disseminating Moon (225 degrees – 269 degrees) indicates that it’s time to start drawing in; the project set in motion at the New Moon is maturing. Diets and other work of “letting go” can only properly be started now with the waning Moon. As the Moon starts to shrink, the side with the rounded curve of the letter D loses light and the viable curve faces the other way shaped like a C. This phase is related to the sabbat of Lammas.

Third Quater Phase

The Third Quater Moon (270 degrees – 314 degrees) is the crone-wise and still very powerful, but no longer fecund**. This Mabon Moon continues to power banishing work, expelling illness, negative thoughts and bad habits. Now is the time to weed and prune your life and in the garden. As worked started at New Moon crystallizes in its completion you are already beginning to feel the draw of a new cycle.

Balsamic Moon Phase

The Balsamic Moon (315 degrees – 360 degrees) provides the three and half days when you can best go indie yourself to search out what drives your passions and dislikes, so that you can understand them and let go. It’s necessary to prepare yourself for the rebirth of the next cycle, even while feeling out of step with everyone in the current one. If you missed the power of the FUll Moon phase to look into the future, the last 30 degrees of this cycle are very potent for prophecy work. This phase is related to the sabbat Samhain.

The Dark Moon

The Dark Moon rests for three and a half days while she gathers information and lays the foundation to implement new ideas. It occurs just before the beginning of the next lunar cycle.

Editor’s Note: The eight phase of the Moon as they are described in this article are different for the Moon’s quarter system, which used on the date pages of this book. The eight phase system divides the Moon cycle into segments, each of which can influence magical begun at that time. The quarter system divides the Moon’s cycle into four parts. The first quarter begins at the New Moon and continues until the Moon has moved 90 degree; the second quarter begins at 90 degrees and continues until the Full Moon (180 degrees); the third quarter begins with the FUll Moon (180 degrees) and continues for another 90 degrees to 270 degrees; and the fourth quarter begins at 270 degrees and continues to 360 degrees, a perfect circle and just before 0 degrees, the place of the New Moon. Although the two systems are different, you can easily compare them and use them together. In the quarter system, the New Moon phase and Crescent Moon phase of the eight-phase system combine to make the first quarter; the First Quarter phase and the Gibbous Moon phase combine to make the second quarter; the Full Moon and the Disseminating Moon phase combine to make the third quarter; The Third Quarter phase and the Balsamic Moon phase comebine to form the Forth Quarter. The DArk Moon is the time just before the end of one cycle and the beginning of the next. Although there are no actual days between cycles, it is the time just before the New Moon when seeds, dreams, and plans of the new cycle await birth.

Weekly Horoscope Sunday, September 19 to September 25, 2021

All Signs

There’s a lot happening! This week, the Sun moves into Libra where it will stay for the next four weeks. At the end of the week, Mercury goes retrograde until Oct. 18 (nevertheless the shadow phase continues until Nov. 3. Therefore, if buying big-ticket items like cars, trucks computers and cell phones, wait until after Nov. 3.) The week starts off on a happy, upbeat note. Yay! But by Wednesday, squabbles are likely. Cat owners might feel calmed by “furplay”. ((That semi-elicit feeling you get when a cat rubs against your leg.) This is not to be confused with another faintly elicit feeling – “muffinlust”! That’s the anticipation you experience when undressing a cupcake.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

In the next four weeks, you will have a strong focus on close friendships and partnerships because the Sun is opposite your sign. (This is the only time all year this occurs.) When this happens, you have the advantage of having more objectivity, which allows you to more clearly see the relationship you are in. Nevertheless, Mercury retrograde is also taking place opposite your sign. Oy! This will attract ex-partners and old friends back into your world. Sometimes this is an opportunity for fun times and a chance to catch up on old history. Sometimes it’s disastrous. That’s because ex-partners come in all flavours, shapes, sizes and colours.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

There are different messages for you this week. As the Sun changes signs this week, it means that for the next four weeks, you’ll be gung-ho to work hard, work smart, and get better organized! You will set high, personal standards for yourself and want results for your efforts. Commendable! (So far so good.) However, Mercury retrograde will rob you of some of your desired efficiency. You will encounter delays, goofy mistakes, mixed-up communications, lost paperwork, missed appointments and broken equipment (including transportation). This means that right when you want to be on top of your game, Mercury retrograde will be like Loki – the trickster – trying to sabotage your best efforts. Courage!

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

You’re in a playful mood at the beginning of the week. Ideally, you would love to escape somewhere, especially a fun vacation. Relations with children will also be pleasant. Admittedly, midweek there will be dissension or power struggles. The good news is that the next four weeks will bring opportunities to have fun and socialize with others. Sports events will delight. Fun activities with kids will please you. This is an excellent window of time to be on a vacation. Meanwhile, old flames might be back in the picture. This can be a challenge. Sometimes it’s dreadful or sometimes you’re Jennifer and Ben? Note, this is a strong week for those in competitive sports because you will give everything you have!

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

The next four weeks will be a strong emphasis on home, family and your private life. Many will be more involved than usual with a parent. One of the reasons you might have this strong focus on home and family is because of family reunions. Relative you haven’t seen for a while might be camped on your doorstep and eating out of your fridge. Hopefully, someone will help you with home repairs? You’re keen to make improvements and changes at home. Be patient with partners on Wednesday to avoid power struggles. (You need that like a fish needs a bicycle.)

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Expect a fast-paced four weeks ahead! Your daily pace will accelerate because of a jampacked schedule full of short trips, appointments, meetings, extra time spent with siblings and relatives, increased studying and reading plus conversations with everyone. You’ll be full of ideas and eager to communicate. Please note: in this same window of time, Mercury retrograde will trip you up because it is sitting in its own “home.” Expect transportation delays, mixed-up communications, misplaced items, cancelled appointments, goofy errors and crazy misunderstandings. Very likely, you will hear from old friends and run into people from your past. Enjoy redecorating at home and buying pretty things.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

“Show me the money!” In the next four weeks, you will focus on money, cash flow and earnings. You might contemplate big expenses and major purchases. You will have moneymaking ideas, especially ideas you considered once before. Why not try again? Run it up the flagpole to see if anyone salutes? Meanwhile Mercury retrograde will cause delays and mistakes. Cheques in the mail will be late. Be aware of all financial transactions because it’s easy to make a mistake now. Perhaps information is incomplete? You might be led astray or jump to wrong conclusions? Disputes about money or possessions on Wednesday are possible. Fortunately, with Venus in your House of Communications, you are charming and diplomatic.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Once a year, for four weeks the Sun is in your sign giving you a chance to recharge your batteries for the rest of the year. That time has arrived! You will feel invigorated, confident and energetic! Things will go your way and you will also attract important people and favourable situations to you. Furthermore, fiery Mars is in your sign! When you add the energy of this to the Sun – you end up being PowerPoint on steroids! Mercury retrograde is also in your sign, which means you will be plagued with silly delays, stupid mistakes misplaced items and car problems. You might encounter ex-partners from the past either in person or online. You might dream about them or think about them? Stay mellow on Wednesday. You will get a lot done this week.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

This is an excellent time to buy wardrobe goodies for yourself. (Check the daily Moon Alert to avoid regrets.) Meanwhile, for the next four weeks, the Sun, Mercury retrograde, and fiery Mars are all “hiding” in your chart. This means it’s an excellent time for you to be retrospective and do a little navel gazing. Not only will you benefit from contemplating some inner issues – you might also do research and dig up answers to old problems. It will be very easy for you to “go into the past”. You might also work alone or behind the scenes to do something to shore up your home and family scene. Whatever work you do now will have a pay off in the future. (We like!)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

The next four weeks are a popular time for you! Younger people as well as physically active people will be in your world. In fact, some of you might be involved with a competition, especially to do with physical sports. Not only will you enjoy the company of others; this window of time offers you a good opportunity to share your hopes and dreams for the future with someone to get their feedback. (This is because their feedback will help you.) Likewise, it’s a good window of time to do some serious goalsetting. Try this. Goals are helpful. They make future decision-making easier and they keep you on track. They give you a sense of purpose and clarity. Meanwhile, a hidden love affair might be taking place for some of you.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

The Sun will be at high noon in your chart for the next four weeks, which symbolically means it will be casting you in a spotlight. This is good news because this spotlight will be flattering! This means that without doing anything special, bosses, parents and VIPs will admire you in the next four weeks. (It’s all smoke and mirrors.) Since you have this marvellous advantage – use it! Now is the time to make your pitch and advance your agenda. Squabbles midweek might take place but don’t let this hold you back. By the end of the week, your ambition will be so strong you will achieve results that please you. This is also a lovely time to enjoy the friendship of creative, artistic people. “You’re related to Pablo? I thought you looked unusual.”

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You will have strong feelings of escapism in the next four weeks. “I gotta blow this pop stand!” Grab every chance to travel that comes your way. You might also explore opportunities in publishing and the media as well as something to do with medicine or the law. You will also have strong opinions about politics, religion and racial issues, which could lead to arguments. You are an idealist and you always want to make the world a better place. Very likely you will be revisiting old issues. Incidentally, Mercury retrograde will help you to finish important papers, manuscripts, screenplays or a book. You might also be in touch with someone in another country whom you have not seen for a while.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Activity is taking place in one of your Money Houses, specifically the one dealing with the wealth and assets of others. Issues will be quite intense for you in the next four weeks. Past situations are suddenly back on your plate again. The good news is that the next four weeks are an excellent time to wrap up old business concerning wills, mortgages, shared property, insurance matters and anything that you own jointly with others. Squabbles and disputes about ownership might take place. Just remember – you can be happy or you could be right. What’s going to be?

Moon Phase on: September 19, 2021

Today the Moon will be in a Waxing Gibbous phase. This phase is when the moon is more than 50% illuminated but not yet a Full Moon. The phase lasts about 7 days with the moon becoming more illuminated each day until the Full Moon. During a Waxing Gibbous the moon rises in the east in mid-afternoon and is high in the eastern sky at sunset. The moon is then visible through most of the night sky setting a few hours before sunrise. The word Gibbous first appeared in the 14th century and has its roots in the Latin word “gibbosus” meaning humpbacked.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

This is a popular time for you, and with fair Venus in your sign, you are charming and diplomatic with everyone. Nevertheless, your home routine will change today. A small appliance might break down or a minor breakage could occur. Perhaps a family disagreement? Be smart and stay chill.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You continue to look fabulous to everyone because the Sun is casting you in a flattering spotlight. Make the most of this because this happens only once a year for four weeks. Meanwhile, be aware of everything you say and do because this is a mildly accident-prone day for you. Caution.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Travel and adventure totally appeal to you because you want a change of scenery and some excitement. Nevertheless, keep an eye on your money and your possessions today because something unexpected could occur. You might find money; you might lose money. Protect your possessions.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Today the Moon is in your sign at odds with your ruler Uranus, which will make you feel restless, impulsive and rebellious. Guard against jumping to hasty conclusions. Nevertheless, enjoy feelings of independence and high spirits as you relate to everyone around you. “Tally ho!”

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Remember that you need more sleep right now while the Sun is opposite your sign. Respect your need for more rest. Today is a bit restless for you, which is why you have that feeling that you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. Relax. You’ve got this

You may have a way of dealing with situations that could wind us making us laugh. You are both genuine and enthusiastic in your daily life.

A 17 September birthday personality will have some difficulty staying humble. Also enthusiastic, you are devoted to your cause and are in good company with your position and professional contacts.

Generally, when this Virgo birthday person has made up his or her mind about something, there is no stopping you although it may take you some time to achieve your goals. You maintain your status but can be unpredictable and eccentric.

Nonetheless, the September 17 horoscope shows that you are not afraid of tackling challenges with a steady and unswerving determination, of course, with a successful outcome.

When relaxed, those born on this day, 17th September, you can be a person who is a lot of fun to be around. It may take some time for this Virgin to get to this point but it is worth the effort.

The 17 September zodiac shows that you can be an impressive individual, but you hardly want the spotlight. Mostly, you’ll find that a Virgo born this day are independent and have self-restraint. You don’t need the validation of others to make you feel important.

Moon Alert

After 11:30 AM EDT today (8:30 AM PDT) there are no restrictions to shopping or important decisions. The Moon is in Sagittarius.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Today you might drum up help from others to make improvements to where you work. You might introduce reforms and better ways of doing things. Very likely, these improvements will involve cost-cutting, recycling and repurposing. You might improve your health as well!

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Romance will be intense today. Actually, many experiences will be powerful, including your interactions with your kids. Don’t be too bossy. Let’s face it: You have definite ideas of how to “change things for the better.” (Oops.)

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

You will have a powerful discussion with a family member today, perhaps a parent. No doubt there will be a consensus about what needs to be done – namely, you want to make improvements at home. Get rid of junk. Tidy up. Recycle and turf what you don’t need. Now.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You’re convincing today, which makes this a strong day for those of you in sales, marketing, teaching, acting and writing. Oh yes, you will use your words with care and they will slice through issues like a hot knife cutting through butter.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Today you might see new uses for something that you already own. (Could that old Volkswagen be a floor lamp?) This is because you’re in a resourceful frame of mind, which is why you see new applications and uses for things. You might also see new ways to earn money?

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is an excellent day to take a realistic look in the mirror and ask yourself what you can do to improve the impression you create on your world. Ideas? We can always improve our appearance in some way. Get creative. After all, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This is a fabulous day to do research because you have a penetrating mind plus the energy and endurance to keep looking for what you want to find. You’ll be like a dog with a bone. Therefore, focus on finding answers to questions and solutions to old problems.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

A discussion with someone could be important today because they might help you discover what motivates yourself. Perhaps you will discuss your hopes and dreams for the future with them? You might look within yourself to discover what you are really seeking in life?

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Your interactions with parents, bosses and the police will be intense and powerful today. Do not cross anyone with authority. (It won’t be pretty.) Take it easy. Be reasonable. Stay calm and never underestimate the power of courtesy. Ironically, you can make a great impression on someone.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

This is a good day to get stuff done, especially if it relates to higher education (finishing an important paper), legal matters or medicine. In discussions about politics, religion and racial issues, you will be opinionated and forceful! No question.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Your ability to find discrepancies and problems in financial matters related to shared property, taxes, debt and inheritances is uncanny today. You will quickly spot errors, and furthermore, you will probably see better ways of doing things. You might see a better way of sharing?

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

A conversation with a partners or close friend will be intense and powerful today. Obviously, you will make quite an impact! The thing is you are motivated; and you intend to go after what you want because you want to get something done. Others feel the same way.

If Your Birthday Is Today

SEPTEMBER 16 birthday horoscope predicts that tend to go beyond the limit. As the zodiac sign for this birthday is Virgo, you can’t give up, or you find it extremely difficult to give in to defeat. You need to know what’s beyond the blue sky and have the patience and ability to find out. Patience is your virtue. Just do not become lax and take things for granted.

It’s not by trial and error, it is a calculated effort, and you are usually successful in your quests. However, there are some places this Virgin should not go. Everything is not for your discovery. As you demand respect, so do others. Be careful on those paths you cross and or crossover.

As far as your career aspirations, the September 16th birthday personality will make dreams profitable and gratifying. Although money is not your driving force, you like what it affords for you and your family. You like the awards that adorn your walls and shelves more than anything.

The September 16 astrology warns that you have a vulnerability to bad luck and misunderstandings. Be that as it may, you are a spiritual being and a religious person. As a child, your parents probably made you go to church, but as an adult, you have kept those values and beliefs. As a result, you have certain expectations of others.

There are times when everyone needs to be reminded that they have accomplished something and Virgos are no different. Bringing the bacon home is necessary but contributing to society often brings you personal happiness. This Virgo birthday person can be found in social professions as a therapist or social worker.

Your family says that you love to learn, but you hate change. The September 16 birthday personality needs security and stability. However, you only learn because things change. Don’t you see the irony of it all? If things did not change, we would not have the technology we have today that empowers you.

If you were to find a lover who has the same values and principles as the Virgo born on this day, everyone would be thrilled. A commitment with a similar person will more than compensate for lack of perfection. Usually, you’ll find this person to be sensitive but annoying.

Additionally, your friends say that you are likely a dreamer, but you make some dreams a reality. Other times, you are highly disappointed in the lack of perfection in others. The September 16 horoscope shows that you take your work seriously, and expect others to give the same amount of respect. You will expect everything done to perfection.

You see, when you blow things out of proportion, you have this way of making everybody sick of listening to and talking about it over and over again. Chill out, Virgo. Stop over analyzing every single thing. You’re going to give yourself a heart attack or worse, grey hairs. I’m laughing out loud, but you do tend to take the fun out of things by doing this.

The September 16 horoscope shows that you’re a go-getter. Typically, you expect perfection and are disappointed when things are changed. However a dreamer, you tend to make them a part of your life.

By doing so, you may worry too much. This could be unhealthy, but this zodiac birthday Virgo has a way of making light of serious situations by laughter. Someone like you would understand this and would make a perfect partner for you who are born today.
