The wheel turns

the season is over
the year almost done
the leaves are a falling
there is more to come

pretty soon it will be bare
all the green will be gone
the snows will start falling
there will be less to feed on

the animals will hide
all safe in their nests
when the weather gets bad
they can not protest

its the wheel of the year
that continues to turn
as summer begot fall
soon winter will return

the seasons keep moving
the time never still
the god and the goddess
have given us free will

when the time stops moving
when the wheel stands still
our time here will be over
and the cause maybe capital hill

A Thought for Today

I pulled this from an older post because it fits with my post of yesterday.

We can help the most by showing society we are peaceful, loving people just like everyone should be.

We can help be leading by example living in harmony with Mother Earth and doing all we can to help her heal. Such as recycling anything we use that has that option, pick up others track including cigarette butts when out for a walk or hiking. Use earth friendly laundry soap, liquid fabric softener, dish soap, body soap (bar or gel), shampoo, paper products made at least in part with recycled paper.

We can help by saying hi or just smiling at people We walk pass or inter act with.

Please share your thoughts or things you already do to live in better harmony with all living things. Especially the talking humans who can really get under your skin.

We are not some secret society that sacrifices babies or animals.

Most of us will never put a hex or curse on a person, place, or animal.

We respect the religion of others and do try to not condemn them or their beliefs or to force our beliefs onto them.

As Witches and/or Pagans we are usually much more intuned with Gaia/Mother Earth then those of “main stream” religions and there for respect and as much as we can to live in harmony with her and allthe living things.

Always take responsibility for anything you say or do. If you wrong someone it is your place to apologize to make things right again. Even if after doing this you decide to cut the person totally out of your life forever. We do not have commandments but we do have a Witches Rede summed up in 8 words

Do as you will, less it harm none

The “none” includes yourself, domestic animals, wildlife from the on, above, and under the ground, oceans, lakes, any water ways, that live and fly in the air, slither in the sand and/or crawl on top or below the ground and most of all another human. Once again take responsibility for your words and/or actions as harm maybe caused to yourself or others in many ways mentally, physically, emotionally or any combination of these.

As you do spells and/or rituals, if it is for others ask their permission first, keep in mind the Threefold Law as know as The Rule of Three. Remember this means any of your words and/or actions good or back will in someway come -back to you three times stronger then when you spoke unlikely or kindly, when an action had negative or positive consequences to another living thing. This is not a Witches law/rule just for spells but the path you walk daily.  Never do a spell that will take away even a miniscule part of another person’s free will.

I ask each of you reading this to stop a thinking for a couple of minutes if any of you actions and/or words were harmful to anyone you came into contact with in the last couple of weeks. If you have I challenge you to live by the Reds and Threefold Law to take responsibility for the wrong you did and give the person or persons a sincere apology.

May you find love, happiness, peace, and harmony everyday.

 

A Thought for Today

Whether it is your family whose bloodlines you share or your family whose spirituality connects you always look for ways to strength your love and respect, to support another with words, a hug (20 second hugs release good endorphins making both people feeling better and happier), or just sitting beside them – face to face or virtually.

If not for my spiritual family I would not have made it through the first two years after my mom’s spirit crossed. My bloodline family, except for my children, grandchildren, and one second cousin, went back to us rarely talking. My love and devotion to my coven and the rest of my spiritual family should never be in question no matter what may happen they are my brothers and sisters the Great Mother and Father brought into my life for a reason. To the Great Mother and Father I am grateful beyond having words to use to give them the thanks and gratitude my heart holds for their gift to me.

My dear brothers and sisters know I am only an email away if there is ever anything I can do, even if it is just to listen to you vent about home, and family, work, the state of the world or how most people use and abuse Mother Earth and many if not all things living upon, under, and over her instead of in harmony with all living things.

Yes, I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I own WOTC so there might not be any regular daily posts until later on this week. Please read on for more information on how I plan on running WOTC, no worries no major changes why try to fix something that definitely is not broke, or what some might call me rambling…lol

As you might know, today is my first day of owning the marvelous website it took our beloved Lady Abyss years to build up. So I need your help to keep this site up to her high standards of bringing her brothers, sisters, and other readers things they want to read and/or use in their practice. I ask that you bear with me the first couple of weeks until I get my feet back on the ground because my broomstick and I are in the clouds this morning because of the honor bestowed upon me by Lady Abyss selling me her site. SHe emailed me a list about 6 inches long of the websites WOTC is allowed to use things from and link back to, so I need time to look at all of those sites. While I have been posting on WOTC on and off for about 5 or 6 years it was my own stuff I posted and not the day to day things. But with your help and patience, I will be back to posting divination things on a rotating base along with other I hope informative and interesting articles for you. As the picture for WOTC says I am the founder and owner of Coven Life, covenlife.co, which some of you know of from attending Esbat and/or Sabbat gatherings through and I with the help of my right-hand Witch, Priestess Hypatia, have courses for the novice, adept, and priest/priestess level witches. So I have two websites to post to and oversee what others post on them.
