Greetings on This COnfusing Monday Morning

th

Yes, I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I own WOTC so there might not be any regular daily posts until later on this week. Please read on for more information on how I plan on running WOTC, no worries no major changes why try to fix something that definitely is not broke, or what some might call me rambling…lol

As you might know, today is my first day of owning the marvelous website it took our beloved Lady Abyss years to build up. So I need your help to keep this site up to her high standards of bringing her brothers, sisters, and other readers things they want to read and/or use in their practice. I ask that you bear with me the first couple of weeks until I get my feet back on the ground because my broomstick and I are in the clouds this morning because of the honor bestowed upon me by Lady Abyss selling me her site. SHe emailed me a list about 6 inches long of the websites WOTC is allowed to use things from and link back to, so I need time to look at all of those sites. While I have been posting on WOTC on and off for about 5 or 6 years it was my own stuff I posted and not the day to day things. But with your help and patience, I will be back to posting divination things on a rotating base along with other I hope informative and interesting articles for you. As the picture for WOTC says I am the founder and owner of Coven Life, covenlife.co, which some of you know of from attending Esbat and/or Sabbat gatherings through and I with the help of my right-hand Witch, Priestess Hypatia, have courses for the novice, adept, and priest/priestess level witches. So I have two websites to post to and oversee what others post on them.

      1. Hello, I have a learning Question Please?
If some tells you to take a piece of paper and write upon it,
“By the sacred fire of the sun, on the 17th day the pact will be sealed.”
Put it in an envelope and not to touch it until the morning of the 17th day. What does this mean for the person that was to follow the instructions?

  2. Lady Beltane, congratulations and I wish you all the very best.. Lady Abyss, I want and wish only the best for you .. my thoughts are with you .. Lady Beltane.. regarding that learning question.. even though I really don’t have experience with what is asked.. my feeling is this.. the person asking the question might not know what the *pact* is.. I would NOT follow through on the instructions that were given to them because of this.. now if they find out what the *pact* is and they want the pact to be *sealed* then by all means.. but until then.. nope.. I wouldn’t do it..

    1. Celtic I have been mentoring new and advance witches for many years. I agree the person should not just write whatever on a piece of paper and stick it in an envelope without knowing why they were doing it. That is why I replied as I did. Thank you for your input on this also.

      2. There is no reason to apologize at all as you did nothing wrong in my eyes. With Coven Life, I have always enjoyed reading comments from others on topics so I can learn from them. I am hoping that this will now carry over to WOTC. ANytime you have a helpful comment or see things from a different point of view than I put it up there. I am trying to get up to speed on all the site Lady A used for their daily posts to see which I want to use and on what days so my brain feels like scrambled eggs and I was trying to understand what you meant because it just wasn’t registering with me. WOTC and CL are websites no one needs to worry about voicing their opinions on as long as it is done respectfully to the author of the post or to the person who made the comment they are replying to. Thank you for the comment I just didn’t understand what you were saying in it is all.

  3. Congratulations!I think you’ve done a wonderful thing by buying WOTC and just know you’ll do a great job.I admire that your taking it on knowing how unwell you are at times and shall try my best to help with Coven Life in the meantime.Have been going through a rough patch but I’ve read and understood the instructions on posting, so now I’m going to give it my first go and write a post.I know I have been absent from the Coven of late because I don’t feel its right to attend when I’m in a bad place physically, but luckily my brain is still functioning and writing helps to take my mind off things.Wishing you every blessing and much luck for your new endeavor.Lady Abyss did a great service to the pagan community when she started WOTC, and I am sure you will do the same….
    Blessings,
    Druantia

    1. Thank you so much for all your kind words and support. If you are not physically feeling well you should attend the gatherings because with all the positive energy we raise it would probably help you feel better. I’m in no way Lady A but I will do the best that I can with WOTC. Looking forward to reading your first post on Coven Life!
      Blessed be,
      Lady Beltane

  4. Lady Beltane, I’ve never run 1 website let alone 1,2 or 3 .. so I can’t even imagine what must be going through your mind right now. I DO realize they take a lot of work.. and of course you want to put your own personal touches on WOTC.. that’s to be expected. Over the years I’ve noticed that I don’t really speak up too much.. not like I used to anyway.. but the person who posted.. I suddenly felt so concerned for them.. for their safety.. not that I didn’t think YOU were as well.. the thought of them performing a spell without really knowing the possible consequences.. I just felt the need to say something. I went back and re-read what you wrote and saw that you mentioned something about not having limited information.. I don’t know the person who wrote the question.. heck I don’t really know anyone here at all.. which is my own doing since I rarely speak up.. but after reading that person’s posting.. I now wonder if others realize .. REALLY realize just how important it is to pay close attention.. study.. practice.. ask questions… research and study and read some more.. you can’t just say to yourself, I want to do a spell to get money.. well.. you can.. but there are risks.. you could end up causing harm to yourself or someone else.. you could even cause someone else’s death.. you might not get enough.. or doing a love spell.. it can really backfire on you.. but now I’m rambling.. see.. I either don’t talk at all.. or I talk too much.. thank you for not taking my posting in a negative way.. celtie

    1. Dear Celtic,
Please speak up whenever you want to. As a Pagan High Priestess of 2 websites, an online coven and an online witchcraft school my aim is to teach those who want to learn the safe, responsible way to practice whatever path of Paganism to follow with a firm foundation to start out with. That is why some years ago I let Lady A talk me into coming out of retirement as a solitary witch to again lead and mentor witches at any level but mainly novices and adepts in The Craft and that’s how and why I started my Coven Life website after posting on WOTC for about 8 months first. I will never tell anyone I am not sure about their safety because of possibly having little to know training how to do even a simple protection spell because they may say something the wrong way and instead of being protected they could bring harm to themself. You are totally correct Witchcraft is not a game to be played like actors on TV or in a movie…practicing the Magickal aspect of Witchcraft has very real side affects that could hurt someone mentally, physically, or emotionally or as you said even end in a persons death. This is a spiritual faith with spellwork and rituals being only part of it. A Witch is personally responsible for the outcome of every single spell, incantation, ritual, and prayer she or he does or says.
I feel if you allow yourself to let others hear your words we could all learn from you. So speak up and share your knowledge please!
