Pamela Coleman-Smith’s artful rendition of an “innocent Fool” archetype (Rider-Waite deck) is often used to represent Tarot in general. Early classical versions of the Fool card, however, portray quite a different character — a person driven by base needs and urges, who has fallen into a state of poverty and deprivation.
In some instances, he is made out to be a carnival entertainer or a huckster. In others, he is portrayed as decrepit and vulnerable — as the cumulative result of his delusions and failures. Not until the 20th century do you see the popular Rider-Waite image of the Fool arise — that of an innocent Soul before its Fall into Matter, as yet untainted by contact with society and all its ills.
Modern decks usually borrow from the Rider-Waite imagery. Most Fool cards copy the bucolic mountainside scene, the butterfly, the potential misplaced step that will send the Fool tumbling into the unknown. Don’t forget, however, that the earlier versions of this card represented already-fallen humanity, over-identified with the material plane of existence, and beginning a pilgrimage towards self-knowledge, and eventually, wisdom. The Fool reminds us to recognize the path of personal development within ourselves — and the stage upon that path where we find ourselves — in order to energize our movement toward deeper self-realization.

Today/tonight is a perfect time for setting your intentions for the month ahead. It’s a New Moon in Scorpio, and as added juice falls on 11/11 for most of the world (Australia will already be in the pre-dawn hours of 12 Nov when New Moon is exact so tonight 11/11 before you go to bed is the ideal time to be thinking about what you most want to manifest in your life or receive help with).
A lot of people are seeing 11:11 on their clocks and wonder what the significance is of it. There is no official cosmic guidebook anywhere that answers this for sure, but generally it’s a sign along the lines that you are being taken care of, that someone is around you or watching over you from the higher realms, it can be a nudge to pay attention to whatever you are thinking about in that moment, some people quickly make a wish whenever they see 11:11 as they feel that in that moment there is a special portal open between us and our highest dreams, desires and potential.

The 11:11 Gateway of November 11th feels to me to be the most powerful of all gateways. Perhaps it is because it is an Angelic Gateway and I am absolutely connected with the Angelic Realm, as most of you are as well. It also occurs in an 8 year, which is symbolized by Power. Much is being shared about this particular Gateway and I share what this might mean for each of us. It is further empowered by the New Moon, Diwali (the Indian Festival of Lights) and a massive solar flare. Archangels, Cherubim and Seraphim, the Dominions, the Virtues, the Powers, the Principalities, the Elementals and all other Angels greet you and encourage you to step through. As you walk (or fly or glide) through this beautiful golden gateway, you are greeted on the other side by a shower of golden Light that purifies you of all that is not Love, and beyond this gentle shower is a land that glistens with Diamond Consciousness. Other Angels take and show you things that are just meant for you. This is a definite shift in consciousness for you. Not limited to 5th Dimension reality, you enter a multidimensional Awareness of who you are. You are adorned with the sacred garments of your Divinity as you welcome a new, yet familiar, upgrade in your expression. You are a Beacon of Light and Love upon Earth. You shine your Light wherever you go and in whatever you do. You let go of your seeking and become the Knowing of your Divinity. There are no more questions or questing. You have finally acknowledged the beautiful being you are.
The time is Now for you to be all of who you are in complete Knowing and Faith. You emanate Love wherever you are. It does not matter if you consider yourself a Lightplayer (not worker) or not. It does not matter if you perceive yourself to be less than or what mental perceptions and intentions you have. You are Light and you are beautiful. The Transformation you experience stepping through the Gateway is true and anchored in your being. You are Divine and you carry this Essence within you, touching all.
Take time to ground these New frequencies onto Earth and within you. Rise up and be who you are without the nagging old beliefs that you are not Divine. As you look at yourself, with all your challenges and successes, be proud of what you’ve achieved in such a short while. Embrace fully New Life, even while you continue to gently let go of the old. As you welcome this influx of Light into you, you step more fully into being the Earth Angel you are and realize that you are an integral part of the evolution of humanity and Gaia. It is still a choice. You may continue to deny the Beauty of you or step more fully into the Truth of you. You might complain that it must not be true for you, because you still have challenges and doubts and fears. Yet, if you look deeper, you will find the powerful Authenticity of you. Minimize the doubts by embracing the Light you are. After all, what is it that keeps you returning to this Truth, even when you are in such doubt? If you go deeper, you realize that even your doubts and fears are overridden by Divine Love. You are at a point where you simply cannot stop the flow of Love, no matter what your thoughts are. It is impossible to stop the ocean waves and it is impossible for you to stop the current wave of Ascension into being much more than your intellect would have you believe.
Remember that in Ascension, we stay in our bodies and on Earth. It is for us to bring the high dimensional Light here so that more awaken and Gaia rises in vibration. Of course, there are those who choose to leave Earth, yet this does not necessarily mean they have abandoned their purpose; they simply are choosing to help from another plane of existence without the distractions of living on Earth. For those of us choosing to stay, we agree that we are the ones grounding the higher dimensions onto Earth through shining our Light brightly. Walking through this 11:11 Gateway helps us do that.
We have been preparing for this through all the releasing we have done mentally (old beliefs and constructs), emotionally (past wounds and old worn-out victim energies along with ancestral karma), spiritually (the release of separation) and physically (our physical bodies are shifting). Most of us have experienced many “ascension symptoms.” These have all been a release of old energies we had not yet released completely (remember that we release in layers, going deeper each time) to make room for all the Love this 11:11 Gateway brings for us, if we’re willing. These include dreams (some judge them as nightmares; yet they are not nightmares; they are old energies releasing), disrupted sleep, discomfort around the 2nd and 3rd chakras especially, headaches, wildly swinging emotions, feeling hot then cold then hot again, nausea, vertigo, intense ear ringing, buzzing in different parts of the body and other phenomena. These are not only the releasing of the old, but also are increases of Light Codes/energies to prepare for this Gateway. Flow with it all.
A way to anchor and ground the high dimensional energies we are receiving (remember that the energy of the Gateway occurs before, during and after, for there is no time as we know it on Earth) is that when a situation comes to your attention, rather than reacting to it (which is the old way and you probably react in an old way as well), take a breath and see that there is a new way to respond. Often it is in a way opposite of the old way of reacting. For instance, if you are one who avoids certain situations, you may instead choose to actively engage and see it through.
This 11:11 Gateway strengthens the Divine Feminine and Masculine merge within us that has been slowly occurring for a while now. This is necessary, as it helps each one of us manifest our creations into physical form. We also move deeper into the absolute Heart-Knowing of our Oneness, which has been mostly an intellectual concept.
Be patient as the energies of this Gateway take a while to integrate. Address what emerges from you to attend to; for there are great opportunities to be much more than you previously thought possible.
Stay awake and present so that you do not fall back into old patterns and keep everything fresh and new. It is only when we go back to sleep that we’re lulled into the old ways of being. Trust that this Gateway is the opportunity to rise in our full Divinity, which affects all aspects of our being and life.

What a week this is! Usually this time of year there is a frenetic energy, a rush to get everything done, and a bittersweet feeling about things coming to an end. This year feels very, very different.
There is something stirring within you, that KNOWS things are going to change in a BIG WAY. This is a NEW BEGINNING of a whole new paradigm for you.

Imagine a bright cobalt blue light shining in a stream into your power chakra at the base of your stomach. Sense its warmth as it begins to energize you on every level of your being. Starting in your gut, it sends out a positive harmonic that neutralizes any discomfort or negativity it encounters. Sense it moving through the various parts of your body, mind, and spirit, eliminating anything negative.
After eliminating the negative, the blue light then starts accentuating the positive energy in you. Imagine that you can take the blue light and manifest it into anything you want. Realize that all you have to do is wish it to be and it becomes reality.
While you drift to sleep, tell the blue light what you really want and who you really want to be. Repeat to yourself over and over:

Wiccan Spell A Night: Spells, Charms, And Potions For The Whole Year
You can adapt this ritual for any tool or object. Before you begin the ritual, take a moment to compose a short book blessing that you will copy into the book itself during the ritual
MATERIALS NEEDED
Piece of plain white cloth (of natural fibers)
Book, tool, or object to be dedicated
Bowl of salt or soil to represent element of earth
Stick or herbal incense to represent element of air
Censer or heatproof dish (and charcoal tablet if using herbal incense)
Candle and holder to represent element of fire
Bowl of water to represent element of water
A prepared book blessing
Anointing oil (plain olive oil, or a blend of oils for blessing
1. Center and ground. Create sacred space or cast your circle, as you wish. Either is appropriate for this ritual.
2. Invite elemental energy to be present. For example:
I CALL YOU, POWERS OF EARTH,
TO BE PRESENT AS I DEDICATE MY BOOK OF SHADOWS.
WELCOME TO MY CIRCLE.
Do this for all four elements.
3. Invite the Divine to be present in the form of the Goddess and God. Use the names of specific god-forms if you work regularly with them.
4. Pick up the white cloth and run it over the book’s covers, both inside and out. Run it gently along the edges of the pages. If there are any tags or foreign matter on the book, remove them. In this step you are physically cleansing the book.
5. From the bowl of salt or earth, take a pinch and sprinkle it on the book, saying:
BOOK, I PURIFY YOU WITH THE ELEMENT OF EARTH.
MAY YOUR ENERGY BE PURIFIED OF NEGATIVE ENERGY.
SO MOTE IT BE.
If you wish, you may purify with the remaining three elements, although the salt will suffice.
6. Center and ground again. Hold the book in your hands and open your energy center. Allow your awareness to flow into the book. Feel your energy filling it, and visualize it glowing brighter and brighter. As the glow of your energy permeates it, visualize any other energies clinging to it simply dissolving away. Say:
I CONSECRATE YOU, BOOK OF SHADOWS.
TO SERVE AS MY RECORD OF MY MAGICAL WORK.
I CHARGE YOU BY ALL THAT I HOLD GOOD AND TRUE:
BE FOR ME A FAITHFUL RECORD OF MY LIFE, MY WORK, AND MY LOVE.
SO MOTE IT BE.
7. Take the book and touch it with another bit of earth or salt; pass it through the smoke of the incense; let the light cast by the flame of the candle dance across it; and sprinkle it with a few drops of water. As you do so, imagine the energies of each element filling the book with positive energy and the touch of elemental energy that will further consecrate it.
8. Open the book and write your book blessing inside on the first page. Take a touch of oil on your finger and draw whatever symbols of protection and wisdom you desire, if any, on the front and back covers. As you do, charge the book with the positive energy that you and the elements have created.
9. When you are done, thank and release the deities you have invited to be present. Thank and release the elements for their help as well. Dismantle your circle or declare your ritual complete if you have used sacred space. A simple “It is done” can suffice..

Should You Have A Written Book of Shadows or Keep One On Your Computer?
In these modern times, it’s often more practical to keep information in an electronic format. Many modern Wiccans possess a spiritual journal in two formats. They type and store some of the work on a computer, and write out the rest. Perhaps you’ve heard others insist that you must keep your book “in your own hand of write,” and this has made you feel conflicted about keeping a computerized version of your spells and rituals.
There are several advantages to maintaining your book of shadows on a computer:
• Your material will be easy to find.
• It will be easy to read.
• It is easy to run off a copy of the text for use in ritual itself without having to handle your entire spiritual journal.
• You can keep a backup copy somewhere else, such as a safe-deposit box, in case of disaster. There are also drawbacks to having your spiritual journal on your computer:
• A computer file is cold, and has less personality or character than a handwritten book.
• You run the risk of accidentally erasing the file or having it corrupted by disk failure.
• A virus can destroy your entire machine if you are not properly protected.
• At times it can be inconvenient to print out the necessary pages.
The advantages to writing your book of shadows out by hand are numerous. Writing things out by hand is an excellent method by which we memorize material. A handwritten book of shadows possesses charm and character, and can be much more conducive to creating an atmosphere appropriate to ritual. It’s also deeply personal. Drawbacks include that handwriting can be hard to read by candlelight or moonlight, and if for some reason you lose your book, you’ve lost everything.
Ultimately, your spiritual journal is exactly what you make it. It is a blend of your choices, your personal style, and your practice. Many eclectic Wiccans use a combination of the computer and handwritten forms. Any spiritual record files on your computer should be backed up on CD or disc and stored in another location, just in case. You could choose to type up the text of a ritual or any information you’ve researched, print it out, and put it into your physical book of shadows for ease of reference, where it will provide a nice contrast to handwritten information.

Fairy Dust
Grind the following herbs into a fine powder:
1 Tbs. woodruff
I Tbs. clover
1 Tbs. rose petals
I Tbs. jasmine

Place the powder in a dark blue jar. Hold the jar tightly against your heart as you chant nine times:

This day has been set aside to honor the Fairy, an important tant element in most Irish folklore and mythology. Being small and dark and living close to the land allowed them to quickly hide from their enemies. We could all probably do with a bit of extra cash now and then in a savings account for emergencies. Money spells will always work better if we have a real need for the money to cover our basic living costs or specific essential needs rather than just wanting loads of cash to go on a frivolous spending spree!
What you need:
Three gold or silver coins
A green envelope or piece of green paper
Gold or silver thread
Moon water (or rain water works well too)
Hold the coins in your hand and visualise yourself with the money that you need to live on, or purchasing an essential item that you need or have to replace.
When you are ready, put the coins in the envelope or wrap them in the piece of paper and then tie the silver or gold thread around it seven times, visualising your goal as you do so.
Send up your wish and thanks in advance to the Divine and then knot the thread three times. Next, you will need to bury the coin package in the earth, somewhere in your garden (or in a pot on your windowsill) where it will catch the moonlight. Sprinkle the Earth where you have buried it with the water.
