I. Overview of Thoth Tarot Deck

Thoth Tarot deck is one of the most famous Tarot decks in the world, which painted by artist Frieda Harris under the guidance of the legendary researcher who is a member of the Golden Dawn, Aleister Crowley. This deck is influenced by the Book of Thoth and Judaism. Although still being one of the classic decks, it contains the Kabbalah mystical symbol systems and astrology from the Book of Thoth, which requires users to do a lot of research to understand the hidden meaning in each card and have a certain knowledge base to capture the deck in the best way.

Thoth Tarot deck is accompanied by a guide book to help users are equipped with knowledge of reading cards and the connection between image system of cards and many fields such as astrology, arts, music, myths, Tree of Life, Runes, elements, and other prototypes.

The Thoth Tarot is considered one of the classic decks but it requires a lot of knowledge to be able to be contemplated. However, this is a controversial tarot deck, …

I. Introduction and review Linestrider Tarot Deck

The Linestrider Tarot, illustrated by Siolo Thompson and released by Llewellyn Publications, is a 78-card deck of travelers between two worlds – whose lives span both worlds, ideas, mental states, or reality.

This deck of cards refers to that concept, combined with the traditional Rider-Waite Smith standard (RWS), creating delicate, minimal, and appealing cards. In folk, there is a margin that separates the visible world from the invisible world on many levels, and Linestriders are magical people who live those lives or gather knowledge from both sides of the line or the edge. Linestriders tour through the routes that separate ideas, discipline, mental state, world, and reality.

With the stable basis of the Rider Waite-Smith Tarot deck, the Linestrider Tarot both expands and reduces the look of the classic Pamela Coleman Smith deck. Human figures appear in only half of this deck while the rest are animals, fulfilling the roles commonly performed by humans in many standard RWS decks. With an unusual sensuality and sensitivity, artist Siolo Thompson described humans as mysterious and dreamy, and animals are wise and intelligent creatures.

This is a 78-card tradition-oriented Tarot deck, with 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 fully illustrated Minor Arcana cards. The Major cards remain the old title and the four Minor suits are Wands, Swords, Cups, and Pentacles. Court cards include Page, Knight, Queen, and King as usual.

The card size is 7 x 12 cm [2.8 x 4.7 inch] – the standard size of a regular Tarot deck. The deck weight is well-made and hand-fitted. The card is quite heavy-handed but flexible, has a smooth edge and a light shade. Linestrider Tarot deck has quite meticulous images, delicate and elegant colors. The work is a bizarre mix of minimalism in many respects such as watercolor, comic style, subtle pencil brush strokes; realism, and symbolism.

The image on the card has an open and blank background; close-up images seem to be simple with a layer of watercolor and pencil that create clever symbols that are consistent with the lower stimulus-center-space-threshold image.

How To Shuffle Tarot Cards In 4 Ways?

General note for the reader and the querent

How to shuffle Tarot cards in 4 ways

Note:

General note for the reader and the querent

In this step, while thinking about the question, you or the querent will shuffle Tarot cards in any way you want. The most important thing in this step is the focus of the one who shuffles (either the querent or the reader, depending on the reader’s own rules), the reader will guide how many times and how to shuffle the cards.

Therefore, do not be surprised when there are some people who will ask you to shuffle 100 times, the deck is only shuffled by the reader, the querent can only draw cards or just swap cards while thinking about the matter they are asking. All of the instructions above are only intended to help the querent and reader to focus on the questions and cards.

After having shuffled Tarot cards and the querent’s mentality has stabilized, we will begin to spread cards. Each Tarot spread will have a different arrangement and corresponding specific meaning, therefore, the reader needs to guide the querent each position of the card. The reader can talk about the kind of spread that will be used and guide the querent to pick up each card and place it in a certain position after shuffling.

The thing that many beginners usually wonder is how to set up rules for the upright/reversed cards and whether is it necessary to use them or not? How many times to shuffle tarot cards? The shortest answer is to depend on your own convention with the deck. You can use the card either in one direction or both in the upright/reverse.

If you read Tarot cards in the upright direction only, you just need to shuffle them in the usual way. If you use the reversed direction, you should refer to a few ways of shuffling so that both the upright and reversed cards can appear in one Tarot spread. The easiest way is to cut the deck into a number of different piles and put each pile in an upright/reversed order alternately, then shuffle them up.

In the traditional way, the querent will shuffle cards before giving readers to spread and solve them. However, this is not an immutable rule, the reader can also shuffle the cards before or after the querent’s turn to increase their focus on the Tarot spread.

Regarding how to set up rules for upright/reversed cards on one spread, you can use one of the followings flexibly:

  • The first way: The querent will be the mark, the upright/reversed Tarot cards will be in the same direction as the querent, thus, the upright card is downstream with the querent, the reversed card is in the opposite direction to the querent.
  • The second way: The reader will be the mark, the upright/reversed cards will be in the reader’s direction. However, this method is not recommended, the querent will have the feeling that the matter appeared on the spread is the reader’s rather than theirs, which will lessen the interaction between the two.

78 Tarot Card Base On Marseilles Tarot

Menu of Contents

I. Overview Marseilles Tarot

Marseilles Tarot (Tarot de Marseilles) is a mystical system that emerged from the 13th century and was completed in the 17th century in France. From the beginning, the deck was popularly used for magical research, divination, and meditation to this day.

The deck according to Tarot De Marseille standard has a simple image system of Minor Arcana, only includes the symbol and its use must be based on multiple algorithms, not merely looking at images and symbols.

Tarot readers who lean on academics and research and less practice in the reading should look to more complicated decks according to Marseille or Thoth standards because of the depth in its layers of knowledge.

Tarot De Marseille, instead of being used for interpretation, is found primarily to play cards, both in betting halls and in private homes. Marseille cards were once printed from wood carving and kept a modest and simple art form.

The Fool – Le Mat Tarot does not have a number but a name. It is the only card in the Major Arcana that is not defined by numbers. The card represents a boundless source of energy, complete freedom, madness, confusion, chaos, or even the urge to create basic creativity. In traditional card games, the Fool is portrayed by characters like the Joker or unusual characters/cards that can represent any other card, at any time without matching any of them. The Fool’s keyword phrase is “All roads are mine”.

The Magician takes number one. This character contains all potential; it is like the starting point from which the universe appeared. For the Magician, everything is possible. He had a range of elements displayed on the table in front of him that he could use every time he wanted, and a small bag that was not difficult to see and seems to be an endless bag, like the goat horn with fruit (symbolizing abundance). From his table, this character works towards the universe and spiritual life.

The Introduction Of Shadowscape Tarot

From Tarotx.net – Shadowscape Tarot

I. Shadowscapes Tarot overview

Shadowscapes Tarot deck from the author Stephanie Pui-Mun Law deserves a masterpiece in a diverse Tarot world. The deck currently stands Top 10 of All Time by Aeclectic community site. In response to many fans’ expectations, Llewellyn Publications released a version of Shadowscapes with a large companion book. Some people will consider this Tarot deck graceful, beautiful and mysterious in a miraculous fairy scene. And so they are not interested in it. But others – fans of the fantasy genre – enjoy it anyway.

This deck is fundamentally composed based on the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith version that blends with the iconic system of fantasy wonderland and cultures around the world. Each of Shadowscapes cards is a delicate watercolor painting. The style of drawing with rich and luxurious details and the wonderful movement of watercolor will make their owners charmed.

The cards in Shadowscapes Tarot are delicate watercolor paintings – a work of art – and can be seen in its elegant details and rhythmic movements. The reader will be hypnotized by the same beauty. When the reader starts to get used to it, they seem to be lost because of that beauty and can understand the messages of each card. However, when you become familiar with it, you will no longer be afraid of that mystic beauty, so this problem will quickly fade with time and experience.

Furthermore, it seems that this deck works well with people who have a type of reading based on questions like “what do you see going on when you look at the card?” And the answer becomes part of the experience. But even if the drawing makes you distracted and cannot read it in a classic way, there are other ways to get used to it. For example, these images easily make people think it is particularly effective in opening a world of imagination.

Although Shadowscapes Tarot basically follows the classic Rider-Waite-Smith style, it is not a copy of RWS. Law has deciphered the traditional images of the card, pondered their meaning and reinterpreted it with her new look. With many cards, she used a unique perspective, and it is obviously her style. Therefore, for less experienced readers (especially those who depend on RWS template), this is not an easy deck. It requires deliberate thinking and time to get used to the cards. However, the time you spend will bring you to separate cards, you will find new paths. In other words, this is a worthwhile journey.

In fact, every time we look at the cards, we can gain more experience and our own understanding of them. One of these detailed origins is the very popular and subtle appearance of nymphs, dryads, and fairy in every scene on the cards. However, you will often have to look very closely to see them, and you will have to think about what they are doing to be able to understand the messages that these characters convey. For example, there is a fairy who is looking at a skull in the Wheel of Fortune (the skull is a traditional illustration of death in our perception) but you may easily ignore this character because the Wheel behind is too gorgeous to hide her.

The Eight Witch’s Rune History and Meanings

The Witch’s Runes are a set of magic symbols used as an oracle. (They’re unrelated to the Norse runes and other archaic alphabets.) While the exact age of this symbol set is unknown, it draws upon familiar images that will be instantly recognizable to the unconscious mind. Over time, Witch’s Runes have gained a reputation as an easy-to-learn, no-frills method for divining the past, present, and future.

Author Dana Corby published an article in the Crystal Well magazine in the 1970s outlining a traditional divination method using 13 runic symbols. (It has since been expanded and re-released as a paperback and e-book.) The Witchs Runes system later got the book treatment from Susan Sheppard in 1998 with A Witch’s Runes: How to Make and Use Your Own Magick Stones.

Tarot Cards Vs. Playing Cards

1. Fortune Telling Tools of Tarot cards and Playing cards

Playing cards use the deck of 52 cards. Although it is known as the Western deck of cards, and currently there is no document proving the origin of this deck, it is assumed that card playing began in China at an early date before they eventually arrived in the West. Later on, Western fortune-telling became one of the Eastern divination categories, considered superstitious.
Tarot reading uses the deck of 78 cards. Tarot cards are from Europe, originally used for entertainment. Then, the occult associations in England and France have discovered the symbols on the card and used it for the interpretation of fate and prophecy. In the West, Tarot reading is very popular, professional and recognized.

More Interesting ways to Reader a Rider – Waite Tarot Deck

78 Tarot Cards base on Rider Waite Tarot Deck

From the website Tarotx.com

(Side Note: This website offers information on more than just the Rider – Waite Tarot Deck)

A standard Tarot deck consists of 78 cards divided into two parts, the Major Arcana and Minor Arcana. The Arcana word is a plural of Arcanum which means “deep mystery.” For medieval alchemists, Arcanum is a mystery of nature. Tarot cards are, therefore, a collection of “mysteries” that make the foundation and explain our world.

The 22 cards in the Major Arcana are the center of the deck. Each of these cards represents some common aspects of human experience. Major cards are special because they open up complex and deep reactions. The images on the Rider-Waite deck evoke association because they combine the system of mystical symbols with recognizable images and circumstances.

While the Major Arcana represents common topics, 56 cards in the Minor Arcana bring these topics into practical areas to show how they work at daily events. Minor cards represent related issues, activities and emotional states that create circumstances in our daily lives.

The interpretation of each card in the table below will give you a deep and complete understanding of the 78 Tarot cards, thereby making the reading become easier. At the same time, you will also have basic concepts to combine cards together in a Tarot spread, making interpretation more effective and coherent.

Two of Cups – Romatic love; marriage and all that entails

Description: A young couple toasts one another at their wedding dance. There hands are entwined and they are looking at each other intently.

Interpretation: This is obviously a marriage but is the couple looking at each other with smoldering passion or with contemptuous disdain? It’s either a fabulous match or a complete sham.

If I’ve learned one thing about weddings, it’s that the externals, the trimmings,  don’t matter a jot. If the couple aren’t dancing together as one, then no amount of cakes,  chintz, or confetti will make it work.

Weddings are important, not in a preachy or moralizing way, but in a magical way. The ritual act knits together the couple, their friends, families, and the community.  That’s why, when couples decide to break up,  we all feel shaken. Conversely,  a good wedding renews our vows.

So while the Two of Cups is undoubtedly a wonderful, romantic card that you should beb delighted to receive in a reading, it is also a reminder to consider carefully the ritual of marriage and all that it entails. Marriage is hard at the best of times and deserves a good start. If you choose to do it, you might as well do it right.

Reading: The card signifies the culmination of romantic love,  perhaps even a wedding.

How to Cleanse Objects Using the Elements

The following should be used to cleanse any object for Magickal use and jewelry you buy or get as a gift. Be it a Ritual tool, amulet for protection or other need, any object to be charmed/enchanted for a specific reason. It can also be used on any jewelry or any other gift your receive.

The purpose for this is to rid the object of anyone else’s energy who may have handled at some point in
time. Thus it will only have your personal and Universal energies attached to it, making the object totally
yours.

This should also be done if anyone besides you picks up and/or touches the object. It should also be done to a black stone weekly if it has been empowered to collect negative energies to ensure it is always at its peak of power to collect negativity before it gets overloaded and leaks onto and/or into you and.or someone else.

What you will need:

The object to be cleansed

Small bowl of water

Regular table salt without Iodine if possible

Feather

White candle

Small white cloth

How to cleanse any object:

Fill in the blanks with the proper element or object depending on where the blank is in the sentence.

If you are cleansing a stone, crystal, gem, semi-precious gem the wording it change to say for each element, “______ I ask you to remove all energies but mine and the _______.”

Add the salt to the water. place the object in the salt water with your power hand (the hand you write with). Then say three times, ” Earth and Water I ask you to remove all energy but my own from this ______”. Take it out of the salt water with your power hand. WARNING: Some gems and crystals should not be left sitting in any type of water. For those things sparingly sprinkle them with the salt water (Earth/Water Element) on all sides.

Place the object on the white cloth. With your power hand pick up the feather. Wave it over the stone saying three times, “Air I ask you to remove all energy but my own from this _______”. Turn the object over and repeat until all outside surface has been done.

Light the white candle then pick the object up in your power hand. Move the object over the top of the flame (being careful not to burn yourself) saying three times, “Fire I ask you to remove all outside energies from this ________”. Turn the stone over and repeat until all outside surface has been done.. Place the object back on the white cloth and blow out the candle.

The white cloth represents Spirit. While an object is laying on the cloth cover it with part of the cloth. Say over it three times, “Spirit I ask you to remove all energies but my own from this ______.”

THE NUMEROLOGY MEANING OF DOUBLE-DIGIT NUMBERS

Thus far, we have worked only with single-digit numbers with the exception of the Master numbers and the Karmic Debt numbers. Now, let’s look at the numbers 10 and up.

single-digit number can be based on different compound numbers.

The 7, for instance, can be based on 16, 25, 34, 43, 52, 61, 70, 79, 88, and 97. Although they all reduce to 7, each changes the personality of the 7 to some extent. In some cases, the changes are quite dramatic, such as when the double-digit number is a Master number or a Karmic Debt number.

When a single-digit number is based on a double-digit number, it’s a good habit to include it in the numerology chart.

If a 7 is based on 25, write 25/7, if it’s based on 34 write 34/7.

A double-digit number’s characteristics are dominated by that of the single-digit to which it reduces. The double-digit number highlights certain aspects and diminishes others, but it never eliminates any aspect completely.

For example, a 7 based on 25 is not as withdrawn as a 7 based on a 16, while a 7 based on 34 is more creative than other 7s.

NUMEROLOGY MEANING OF NUMBERS 1 – 9

The single-digit numbers 1 – 9 form the foundation of Numerology.

In numerology, each number has its own personality, its strengths, talents, shortcomings, and idiosyncracies.

To gain insight into the way numbers affect us, it helps to view each number as if it were a person with unique traits, instead of a list of positive and negative qualities. It should be noted that my description of single-digit numbers illustrate their extremes – and no one has just one number or characteristic.

While all multiple-digit numbers are eventually reduced to single-digit numbers by adding the digits and reducing them (for example, 15 is reduced to 6 by adding 1 and 5), the double-digit numbers also have specific meanings, especially if they are Master numbers (11, 22, or 33), or Karmic Debt numbers (13, 14, 16, or 19).
