Traditionally seen as the first day of the week by the ancient Hebrews and as identified by the fourth commandment (Exodus, xx, 8-11). This day was in ancient times dedicated to the Sun and later as ‘The Lord’s Day’. Sunday is traditionally a time for rest, reflection and worship. It is believed to be a lucky day for babies born on this day according to tradition as the child was thought to be safe from witches and evil spirits. Some born on this day are believed to have psychic or devining abilities. Any cures that are administered on a Sunday were believed to be more likely to succeed. In some parts of the British Isles (UK) there is a belief that announces that any agreements that are made on a Sunday are not legal as it will offend God to make any transactions of a day of reflection and dedicated to worship. In the USA this is enforced by the saying ‘ Never make plans on a Sunday’. In rural areas of the British Isles those employed for a new job on a Sunday would soon leave their post:

‘Saturday servants never stay,

Sunday servants run away.’

It was also thought to be unlucky to put clean sheets on the bed on a Sunday along with cutting your hair or nails. Regarding music, choir singers who sang a false note on this day were according to a traditional English (UK) belief expected to have a burnt Sunday dinner. You could expect a busy profitable week ahead, especially if you were in business, if you found a pair of gloves on this day, and quite naturally very unlucky to be the person who had lost them according to a rural English (UK) belief. A prehistoric cairn marks the spot of Druid worship where a Christian settlement was created Slieve Donhard, near Newcastle, England. Set up by Donhard (a convert of St. Patrick), pilgrimages regularly visit the place of worship, high on the hill, as it is said that St. Patrick himself appears as a result of Donhard’s faith each Sunday of the year. My morning started out very nicely. I don’t know how I got in this mood just to bite someone’s head off. We are having a local telethon for disabled children. I started watching about 4:30 this morning. Then about 7:00 it turned to Gospel music. They never start the Gospel hour at 7:00 it is generally around 10:00. So I kept listening and hoping and listening and hoping, finally I said the hell with it and turned the TV down. In the meantime, my bobcat jumps my Pomeranian and you would have thought she killed her. Razzy (bobcat) has been wanting to play all morning. I have played with her some. So she get on the bed and lays in wait for Kiki to hop on the bed. When Kiki did Razzy jumped at her. She didn’t hurt Kiki just scared the crap out of her.

Now I have all the homefront issues handled, I get on the site and I have someone trying to tell me what I put on the front page. That struck a nerve. Started by staying Witch craft is not a religion but it can be compared to knitting or crocheting. But it was turned around somehow and stated that yes, Witch craft could be a Religion now days. Then ended by saying, Witch craft is the oldest religion in some part of the world. “Baby, first off before you ever dare tell me what I wrote, you best read it. Don’t ever attempt that again. I am the author of the front page. I know what I wrote. Next, Witch craft is not two words, it is one like this “Witchcraft,” see. The part that really pissed me off was comparing my Religion, YES, MY RELIGION! Don’t like Witchcraft classified as a RELIGION GO SOME PLACE ELSE, Got it! But comparing it to knitting or crocheting, that tells me you are no WITCH. Instead you are an IDOIT! You want to make comments like these, you best find you another site to do it at. NOT THIS ONE! Because yes when I run into comments that make me angry, I do call them out.

I know exactly what you are. But now it is wonderful, because remember the time I was threw out of an Award’s Site. Come to find out the owner was a Baptist. She threw me out but left it were I could read each and everyone of your nasty comments about me and my Religion. Baby, pay back is a bitch! You see, I am not going to let you comment or anything. I am treating you the same way ya’ll treated me. Sit and take it! I am not near as nasty as everyone of you were to me. But I will tell you one thing if you ever come back to this site, I will publish your name and let every witch here do what she wants with you. Got it. Never, ever darken these halls again!

Now that I am through with my dear old friend there, I was thinking this morning. This was when I was starting to flip the channels, then I thought what good would it do? All I see on Sunday mornings is Baptist, Christian, Catholic and every other mainstream Religion out there on TV. I got to thinking wouldn’t it be lovely to have a Craft Hour on TV. I know, I know! I wouldn’t even know how to go about doing it. But it would be so beautiful to see somebody on there spreading the word of our Goddess. Wouldn’t it? I use to be able to turn the TV down low when I was posting on Sundays but I can’t do that anymore. I know you are thinking, “well, change the channel!” I am going too in a minute or so. But I guess the Goddess has touched my heart and soul, I don’t want to hear any other Religions. The only one I want to hear is the words of our Religion. I want others to come to know the Goddess. Have our Divine Lady fill their souls and hearts with joy and love. There are still thousands of individuals that have not heard our message yet or more important met our Divine Mother. The internet has been an excellent resource but we are going to have to come up with more creative ways for our message to get out. I know television is a pipe dream right now but one day, perhaps with the Goddess it can come true.

Can You Believe It, It’s SATURDAY! Have a Very Blessed Day, Dear Family!

Good Morning, my luvs! I hope everyone is having a very enjoyable Saturday. At least today, I didn’t get drug out of bed like last weekend, lol! Take my word for it, you never want to wake up to a panicked Mystie :s, NEVER!

It has been a long week for me but a fun week. I enjoy doing our daily publications. I am going to start doing The WOTC seven days a week now. On Saturdays and Sundays, I will have peace and quiet to do what I want to. Which I do anyway, but…..Just the solitude and time to be alone and think. When I am alone it gives me more time to communicate with the Goddess. Even driving in the truck alone, I have a talk with Her. Spiritual connection with our Divine Mother is very important. Every moment I get, I now talk to Her.

I know I said I was going to start doing the WOTC seven days a week. But if it is alright with you, I need to take today off. Well, not really off, I will be working on the site. I decided yesterday afternoon to go ahead with the Sponsorship Wall. It is going to take a little bit of time to do, especially gathering up everyone’s name. I will have to go back through our account and start from the beginning. I want everyone who has ever contributed to us to be on that Wall. I believe with all my heart that you deserve the recognition. There has never been a time I haven’t called upon you for help in an emergency and you have always answered. That to me is special. Giving of yourselves were we can survive and continue our mission. I know you believe in the work we are doing and also believe it must continue. We have to get the truth about our Religion out. We have to destroy the ignorance about Witches and Witchcraft. We have to knock down barriers, stomp out all the old myths and stereotypes associated with us. And most of all, bring Witchcraft into the mainstream Religions. We have to continue our work for there is no one else to do it. We have to make sure our children know of their heritage, history and Religion. I know you stand with us in this calling. We have to stand together and we have to unite. There are some that say it is impossible for the Pagan community to unite. I say they are wrong. To be heard loud and clear, we have to come together and unite in this one cause.

This is not my cause, it is the Goddess’ cause. It is the Goddess’ Religion. We are Her children, who better to spread the word.

For those of you who have supported us from the very beginning, I say thank you. I have said it a million times without you there would be no WOTC. You are the heart of this group. Your strength gives me courage. Your support shows me your love. I know you stand beside us in our efforts. I know we are not alone in this struggle. We have come along way but we still have along way to go. For everything you have done for us, I believe you deserve the recognition.

I am going to work on the Wall today. Hopefully I will have it finished this afternoon. You are very special individuals to us. I want to show you our appreciation and gratitude for all you have done for us. This is our way of saying thank you and we love you.

Gooood Afternoon To The WOTC!

Good Afternoon WOTC,

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. It is ashame how fast the weekends fly by. Well I know at least mine do. I wanted to apologize for the WOTC not being online this weekend. We had numerous things we had let go and let go and it just all piled up on us. We had to take a break and catch up with our lives offline. We had houses that had to be cleaned, lawns and herbs gardens that needed to be tend too, one big fish aquarium to clean out and a bunch of little stuff also. It just piles up on you till the once little thing is now a huge mountain you have to tackle.

I also have good news to report. Lady Abyss has been freed from her cast. I helped her around her house this weekend. She said her hand is still tender but the doctor told her to exercise it. What better way to exercise it than to start doing the blog again! She will be back tomorrow and our lives will resume as normal? It seems strange how one person being hurt or sick can throw everything out of sink. Of course, Lady A has been here but it still felt strange for me to do the blog. We have developed a system over the years that works very well for us. The person doing the blog is the one who is in charge. She does all the posting. At the same time she has her email account open and we are emailing her the info that she needs for the blog. You simply refresh and there is your next bit of info. I admit it didn’t feel right me telling Lady Abyss what I need and could you do this and that. She might have been in a cast but she was still a trooper and helped out a lot. I know all of you will be glad to see her back as well as I will be.

Again I would like to apologize for this weekend. I hope you understand why we took the weekend off. Tomorrow with Lady A back, we will resume our normal schedule. We will operate 7 days a week as usual but excluding our one day a month we take to update everything. And we always notify you of that.

It has been a pleasure doing the blog and meeting some of you. I am sure I will fill in from time to time. That is all I have to report for now. I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday and we will see you tomorrow.

I know most of the time when we miss a day on the net, we apologize. I am breaking that cardinal rule, just this one time, lol! As you can see I have been a busy little beaver. Most of the time I am able to do all this in one night and forget it. Except this time I have been running with a handicap. Only a few people know about this, it had to be Wednesday late afternoon I believe or maybe not. But anyway, I went home and was getting ready to fix supper. The bottom element in my oven went out. The brain here decided she would just whip that little devil out. Then go in the morning and get a new one. No big deal, HA! I opened the oven door and sit down beside it. I reached in the back with my screwdriver and unscrewed the screws from the oven wall. I did the other side, the same way. I pulled out the element out and I saw where it was attached by two wires coming out of the oven wall. One was red and the other was yellow. Well, dummy here, being around a car garage all my life thought, hmm, red “hot,” “yellow” not. You know just like the battery connectors and cables. (Oh, did I fail to mention, I forgot to kill the power to the stove :s ). So I grabbed a hold of the yellow wire (which had a coating on it). Then my hand accidentally slipped down on the wire connector and I tell you I was one flying witch. That thing knocked me clear across the room and I ended up in the floor. My hubby came running in there and thought I was dying. He said I was laying in the floor twitching like a dying cockroach. He called an ambulance but the local rescue squad showed up first. The picked me up and took me to the hospital. I was still twitching a little bit and could finally straighten out at the hospital. My neurologist came in, looked me over and admitted me to the hospital for observation. He told me I was damn lucky to be alive. Lucky had nothing to do with it, I was wearing my pentagram. So the next morning at 5 am, here came the doctor to see how I was doing. He asked a few questions and wanted to know if I would like to go home. Silly, silly man! My husband and I were leaving the hospital about 7 am the next morning.

I got a little sleep when I got home. Then I did a little blogging. I told my husband I was bored and could he please bring me my laptop. I pretended to be surfing the net. I know I am terrible, right? Then I got to looking at the blog and how bad it needed up-dating. I tried staying up that night as long as possible but I just couldn’t do it. Then I tried it again Friday and couldn’t do it. I guess get electrocuted took a little more out of me than I thought. So yesterday, I propped up in the bed and went to work. I figure after you seen what all had been done, you would know why the blog wasn’t blogging. I am going to put on a few things that you might find useful. Then I am going to see if I can get the rest of the blog done.

Can you believe it is already December? Where on earth did this year go?
