A Thought for Today

Moon Alert

Avoid shopping or important decisions from 4 AM to 7 AM EDT today (1 AM to 4 AM PDT). After that, the Moon moves from Libra into Scorpio.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You feel more intense about everything today. (This includes passionate romance.) However, most of you will probably steer this intense focus to issues about shared property or something that someone else owns? You might even feel jealous or possessive?

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Today your attention turns to your most personal relationships because you want to express yourself in passionate terms. You have something to say! Nevertheless, guard against knee-jerk reactions. Furthermore, keep in mind confrontations will be colourful!

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

For those with the weekend off, home crafts and tidying up at home or restocking hygiene items and healthy food will be a top priority because the Moon is sitting in your House of Health and Work. It will please you to get better organized.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

This is a lovely Saturday! The Moon is in a playful part of your chart; plus, it is in your fellow Water Sign. Make a point of having some fun today! Check out entertaining diversions. Meet a friend for lunch. Enjoy sports or playful activities with kids. It’s a great date day!

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

You will have a warm feeling in your tummy if you can relax at home today. Some might be involved more than usual with a parent. Nevertheless, you will love to cocoon and take it easy amid familiar surroundings. Buy fresh flowers.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Today your communications with others are important, which is why you want to get down to the basics. You want to talk about something that matters, not superficial chitchat. A conversation with a female could be significant.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You love beautiful things. In part, this is because more than any other sign, you are affected by your immediate environment – colours, smells and lighting. You might shop for beautiful things today, especially clothing or pretty things for where you live.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Today and tomorrow, the Moon is in your sign, something that happens for two and half days every month. When this happens, it slightly improves your good luck! This means that you have the edge if you want to ask for something or go after what you want. Remember this!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Today the Moon is hiding in your chart, if you will, which in turn, makes you want to withdraw from the busyness around you. It also makes you want to keep your feelings secret. You might not feel like socializing. That’s okay! Take some quiet time for yourself.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

This is a good day to talk to a friend and share your hopes and dreams for the future with them because their feedback might be helpful to you. They might show you a new dimension to what is possible? So often, we are held back by your own self limitations.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Every month, for two and a half days, the Moon crosses the top of your chart. When this occurs, it means that the public is more aware of you than usual. This is why certain people might be talking about you. In fact, they seem to know personal details about your private life. (Be aware of this.)

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Today you have a strong urge to do something different and exciting! By all means, travel if you can. Perhaps you can take a short trip or go someplace you’ve never been before? You will also find it satisfying to learn something new and talk to people from other cultures.

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actor Tim Roth (1961) shares your birthday today. You are a creative person who is independent and hard-working. You have excellent business savvy. You are also unconventional and stubborn, at times. This year is a time of learning and teaching for you. You might be attracted to meditation, yoga, prayer or religion. Time spent in solitude will be enriching.

A Thought for Today

As the day ends the only person you need to be true of spirit to is yourself. Do not worry whether you are in or out of the broom closet as long as you follow the spiritual and magickal path that brings you happiness, contentment, and you feel at peace with.

Until we meet again dear sisters, brothers, and honored guests may you blessed be.

Moon Alert

There are no restrictions to shopping or important decisions today. The Moon is in Libra.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Because of the possibility of transportation delays, missed buses and auto breakdowns (to name a few reasons for hang ups today) – be smart and give yourself extra time so that you have wiggle room to deal with the unexpected. You’ll be glad you did.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Double check financial dealings in case there are errors that will create future delays. If you’re looking for a job, go back to where you have applied or worked before because contacts from the past will be your best option. Cheques in the mail are late.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Don’t be hard on yourself for forgetting things, leaving things behind, missing appointments or running late because these are par for the course when Mercury retrograde is taking place in your sign. Lighten up! Enjoy your day. This is just a brief dark cloud on your horizon.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Your ability to research and dig up answers from the past is strong because of the placement of Mercury retrograde in your chart. Your mind is like a diamond drill bit that can burrow deep down to find what you’re looking for. Yes!

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is a good time to examine your attitude toward a group, club or organization to which you belong. You might want to discuss a problem with a friend, something that’s been going on for a while. You might see a way to remedy things so that in the future, things will work better for everyone.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is the perfect day to wrap up old business, especially if it means talking to a boss or an employer. In fact, you might want to reassess old goals? This is a good time to finish any kind of course or training that you have been doing to help your career.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Although delays to travel plans are likely; nevertheless, you will find your ability to study and learn is excellent. You will get the best results if you study something from the past – history, archaeology, anthropology or you finish a paper or project that was already started.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

During this window of Mercury retrograde, you will find it easy to wrap up details that have been dragging on regarding insurance matters, wills, estates, inheritances and anything to do with shared property. You can get this stuff done now! Just do it.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Mercury goes retrograde three times a year. It is retrograde now, and this particular Mercury retrograde is taking place opposite your sign. This is why you will attract old partners and ex-spouses back into your life. (This could be good or not so good depending on your scenario.) Hopefully, this is an opportunity for closure.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Be patient with delays and silly goof ups and mistakes at work. Late deliveries, mixed-up communications, machinery breakdowns and staff shortages will be par for the course. Instead, work to finish old projects because these will go quickly and be successful.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Many things from the past might be bubbling up on your plate now. Old flames and romantic interests might be one of them. Meanwhile, some of you will have a chance to get a diagnosis for an ailment or sickness that has plagued you. At last – clarity.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Do take advantage of this window of opportunity that is yours for a few more weeks because it will help you to finish repair projects at home and wrap up important family conversations, including disputes. Anything that helps should not be ignored.

If Your Birthday Is Today

TV host, comedian Stephen Colbert (1964) shares your birthday today. You are witty, reliable and solid. You are friendly and loyal to family. You work hard to get what you want to achieve. This year you will be of service to others, especially family. Take care of yourself as well: enroll in a class or get a makeover.

Some of the Witchcraft/Magickal Correspondence Digest for Friday

From GypsyWolf.weebly.com

Friday is the sixth day of the week, but used to be the seventh, the Sabbath of the Jewish lunar calendar.   The name, Friday,  is derived from the Nordic goddess, Frigg, Frigga, Freyja, Freya, or Frija (Germanic), considered to be the mother of all.  She is the Goddess of love and war, fertility and death.   She is the leader of the Valkyries and the Disir (Divine Grandmothers), and creator of Seidr magic.  Her symbols are the cat and the Brisingamen, which is the magic necklace of the rainbow bridge.  Freya’s Roman and Greek counterparts are Venus and Aphrodite, goddesses of love and beauty.

Black hole at the center of our Galaxy imaged for the first time

The Event Horizon Telescope network has captured the second-ever direct image of a black hole — called Sagittarius A* — at the center of the Milky Way.

Radio astronomers have imaged the super massive black hole at the centre of the Milky Way. It is only the second-ever direct image of a black hole, after the same team unveiled a historic picture of a more distant black hole in 2019.

The long-awaited results, presented today by the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) collaboration, show an image reminiscent of the earlier one, with a ring of radiation surrounding a darker disk of precisely the size that was predicted from indirect observations and from Albert Einstein’s theory of gravity.

“Today, right this moment, we have direct evidence that this object is a black hole,” said astrophysicist Sara Issaoun of the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics at a press conference in Garching, Germany.

“We’ve been working on this for so long, every once and a while you have to pinch yourself and remember that this is the black hole at the centre of our Universe,” said computational-imaging researcher and former EHT team member Katie Bouman at a press conference in Washington, DC. “I mean, what’s more cool than seeing the black hole at the centre of the Milky Way?”

Moon Alert

After 2:40 AM EDT today, there are no restrictions to shopping or important decisions. The Moon is in Libra.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Today the Moon is in a sign that is opposite from your sign, which means you have to cooperate with others. You have to be prepared to go more than halfway when dealing with them. This could trigger an interesting conversation with a sibling or neighbour. Stay open.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Today you might have to put your personal considerations second to those of someone else. Or perhaps, you have to cooperate with a certain situation, especially at work? Hey, you’re not being a martyr. This is simply how your day is rolling. No biggie.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Grab every chance to enjoy a social outing or an entertaining distraction because this will please you today. It could involve activities with children, the arts, the entertainment world or something to do with sports. It might also involve an old acquaintance.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

This has been a popular time for you, which means at times, you have been you have been all things to all people. This can be exhausting! That’s why today might be your perfect chance to take a breather and hide at home. Find a private cubbyhole where you can replenish yourself.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Today you have a strong need to express yourself. You want to be heard because you have something important to say. You don’t want to be caught up in superficial conversations that you feel are a waste of time. You want a real exchange with someone.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Because the Moon is sitting in your House of Earnings, you will emotionally identify with your possessions and your wealth today. This is why you might have a strong attachment for something. (“My precious!”) Some of you might be put in a position where you feel you have to defend yourself.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Today and tomorrow the Moon is in your sign. This happens every month for about two days, and when it occurs, it gives you a slight advantage over all the other signs. However, it can also make you more emotional than usual. Be aware of this.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

It’s quite alright if you want to withdraw and keep your feelings to yourself today, especially if you feel a tad insecure. (We’ve all been there.) Very likely, you don’t feel like socializing. Hey, relax. On Saturday, you’ll be out there flying your colours!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

A heart-to-heart conversation with a female might be important today. This could be because you want to share some personal information or vice versa, someone wants to share their thoughts with you. This might be why you feel more protective of others. It’s all good.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

It’s curious; both today and tomorrow, personal details about your private life might be a bit public. For some reason, people are talking about you. Are you aware of this? (If you are aware of this, you might take control of the narrative.)

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

In an effort to broaden your horizons today (or do something different), you might encounter someone who is unusual? Perhaps they have a different background from yours? This could be learning opportunity for you. Meanwhile this is a good day to make travel plans.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

This is an excellent day to catch up on old business from the past, especially items related to wills, estates, shared property, insurance issues, taxes, debt – all that sort of thing. It can make you cringe, but hey, it’s not going to go away by itself, is it?
