Much as the Great God and Great Goddess are said to “tie the knot” of marriage at Beltane, we can create our own knot-based magickal charm to honor this ancient and festive sabbat of which the tied-up Maypole is its emblem! When it comes to Beltane a vast majority of ancient pagans – and certainly any Neopagan worth their salt – understands that gender and orientation are of little consequence. Love is love. Whoever we are and however we are, let’s craft a charm of nine loving knots. Feel free to chant the traditional Wiccan knot spell* if it aids your focus. This can be found online and in a variety of Witchcraft books.
Using a long strip of natural fabric (red or white are ideal), tie nine knots, each of which should contain within a small stone, herb, charm, or written prayer specifically for the energy of love** – cosmic, social, and personal – however your intuition guides. After preforming your magick, hang the charm near the front door or bedroom in order for its blessing to illuminate today and onward.

Beltane is he holiday that draws all witches outside to celebrate the returning power of the Sun and the fertility of the land.
Wear red robes for ritual and dress your altar with reds for passion. If you have identified a nearby rowan tree, you can make a wreath for your hair using rowan twigs. BASIC CANDLE SPELL
Depending on your goal, you will need to choose a candle color that is appropriate for your task.
Different colors represent different things, for example, if you want to use this spell to gain money,
you choose a green candle, because green represents money (as well as other things).
If you wanted love, you would use a pink candle (or red if it’s actually lust you want).
Take the candle and make 7 notches in it, all equally apart.

Midweek, the Sun changes signs joining Mercury and Mars in the part of your chart that makes you want to explore the world more. You will want to travel, study and talk to people from different backgrounds. New and unfamiliar experiences will appeal. Enjoy reading and writing; however, get out more so that you can be involved! This plus arthritis is what I and others deal with daily. Just because we don’t always need to use a cane or wheelchair or other mobility devices does not mean we do not have a disability. Weather changes really put me in a fibro flare which makes it hard to type and do a lot of other things. I will post as much as I can daily including things about Samhain for the northern hemisphere and Beltane for the southern hemisphere.

In this part of the moon cycle, it is getting closer and closer to the Sun as viewed from Earth and the night side of the Moon is facing earth with a decreasingly thin crescent being illuminated.
The waning (shrinking) crescement Moon will rise at around midnight, transit the meridian after sunrise, before setting after noon. This phase is best viewed 1-2 hours before sunrise and is a great time to see the features of the Moon’s surface.
