All Signs
Ghosts and goblins will enjoy some Halloween fun this week. Although Monday is serious with increased responsibilities and obstacles, Tuesday is a lovely change bringing surprises and energy to explore new ideas and new ways of doing things. A fun Halloween! Following that, a productive “spirit” prevails for the rest of the week, which means many of us will accomplish a lot. By Saturday, party vibes are strong! In fact, you can enjoy a fun evening out and get an extra hour’s sleep because Daylight Saving Time ends that night. Bonus! Ben Franklin said, “Time is the stuff life is made of.” So true. (Of course, time flies when you’re unconscious.)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Many of you will have a strong focus on Halloween fun because short trips, increased interaction with siblings and relatives, plus a strong focus on home, family and children are a theme for you this week. By the weekend, you are definitely ready to party! Nevertheless, you will also have an equally strong focus on financial matters, possibly due to disputes about inheritances, insurance issues or shared property. You might seek out a loan or mortgage. Fortunately, things will tend to go your way because lucky, moneybags Jupiter is in your Money House boosting your earnings and attracting favourable financial situations to you. It’s your year to get richer!
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
It’s fortunate that with Jupiter in your sign now, you have divine protection, especially this week, when you might feel at odds with partners and close friends. (Certainly, you will feel annoyed with someone.) Nevertheless, you can talk things out, especially if you listen, because Mercury is opposite your sign, and Mercury is the planet that rules communications. Meanwhile, fair Venus is in the most playful part of your chart, which guarantees fun times on Halloween, along with entertaining diversions throughout the week. This also bodes well for financial speculation. On Saturday, you can enjoy entertaining at home.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Don’t fall prey to worry on Monday because by Tuesday, life looks better! You will find it easy to work hard this week, and be especially productive. In fact, you will work so hard, you will likely delegate to others as well. Meanwhile, many of you will enjoy redecorating projects at home or tweaking your digs. You will also enjoy entertaining at home. By extension, many of you will explore real-estate opportunities. This is a powerful time for you because you are in your time of harvest, which comes only once every 30 years. This is why you see clearly what is working and what is not working. Use this clarity to accomplish as much as possible before lucky Jupiter enters your sign bringing mucho opportunities next year!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Lucky you! Three planets are now in one of the most fun parts of your chart, urging you to socialize, enjoy playful activities with kids, explore sports events, flirtations and new romance. Oo la la! This is a social week for you! Some of you are baking spooky Halloween cookies. (Your sign knows where the kitchen is.) In the bigger picture however, be aware that once a year, the celestial influences encourage you to be free do your own thing. You can call the shots! Indulge yourself! This is happening right now. Decide to have a good time. Explore romance and flirtations. Life is sexy right now! (Remember sex? It comes between five and seven.)
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Many of you will enjoy entertaining others with Halloween parties at this time because there’s such a strong focus on home and family for you this month. In fact, increased chaos and activity due to visiting guests, as well as renovations or residential moves, will keep you hopping. Family discussions are important. You might be more involved than usual with a parent. With Jupiter at the top of your chart, you look successful to everyone. (Use this to your advantage.) This is a friendly week, which is why you will enjoy schmoozing with others. By Saturday, you’re ready to party! (Especially if you look like your passport photo.)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
This is a fast-paced week for you! You’re keen to learn and study. Some of you are reading and writing more than usual. Short trips are on the menu. Because you’re eager to communicate, it’s a strong time for those of you in sales, marketing, teaching and acting. With both the Sun and Mars in your House of Communications, you’re convincing! In addition to which, fair Venus in your sign makes you charming and diplomatic. What a winning combination! Nevertheless, grab every opportunity to travel because this will please you. You are high viz. at the beginning of the week. (In fact, on Monday and Tuesday, people seem to know details about your personal life. Do be aware of this.)
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Feelings of escapism are strong at the beginning of this week. (Have mask will travel.) Nevertheless, by Wednesday, you’re keen to get down to business, especially regarding making money or boosting your income. In part, this is because you have some excellent moneymaking ideas. However, you’re keen to work hard, especially because you’ve been spending a lot lately. (Hey, you like beautiful things, including a decent wardrobe.) A secret flirtation or love affair is taking place for some of you. This is a good week to tie up red-tape details about inheritances, taxes and debt. (I always wait for the right mood, which is last minute panic!)
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Look at you! The Sun is in Scorpio. Mercury is in Scorpio. Mars (one of your rulers) is in Scorpio. Who’s in charge of Halloween? You are! It’s a powerful time for you, which is why you’re pumped with energy and eager to talk to everyone. Some of you will be coming on a bit too strong. (Lighten up if you see hair blowing back over other people’s ears.) Another favourable influence for this week is that fair Venus is promoting good times with friends and groups. Enjoy parties and interactions with clubs. Any kind of group setting will be a fun outing for you. (A friend could become a lover.)
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This week begins with a strong focus on partners, spouses and close friends. Please note: You will have to go more than halfway when dealing with others, especially on Halloween day. Be prepared to compromise. (It’s no biggie and it will make life easier.) Take the high ground and put the interests of others first because this is how you will have a more successful week. The pay off? By Saturday, you might be able to blow town. You certainly will be keen for a change of scenery on Saturday and Sunday. (Although Saturday is your party day.) Meanwhile, bosses and authority figures are seeing you with favourable eyes. This means you can go after what you want. At least, you can ask. “More porridge?”
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
This is a popular week for you, which will please you enormously. You might be involved with competitive sports more than usual because you’re ready to fight for what you want. Many of you are also more involved with younger people more than usual. Meanwhile, your urge to travel is strong, along with your desire to interact with people who are “different.” (Perhaps, new romance with someone unusual will blossom?) Midweek, be prepared to go more than halfway when dealing with others to make life easier for everyone. This is a good time for you to think of your goals, and how you can achieve your hopes and dreams for the future. Why not bounce some of your ideas off someone to get their feedback? Something helpful might come of this.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
With the Sun, still at high noon in your chart, shining down on you like a spotlight – you look good to others! You don’t have to do anything special, and they will admire you (especially bosses, parents, teachers and VIPs). This can only happen once a year so make the most of this. (Especially because in addition to this advantage, your ambition is also aroused.) This is why you will be effective talking to important people and making plans for your professional life. Some of you might explore new studies that can boost your career. Certainly, others will listen to you now. Privately, romance is passionate and affectionate, which is really nice. Many of you will attract money and gifts to you as well. Not too shabby.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
You’re restless now because you want a change of scenery. Ideally, you want to be somewhere else – hot Sun, white sands, umbrellas on the beach and the sound of pounding surf in your ears. Ah, the good life! Nevertheless, through study and exploring new ideas with others, and talking to people from different backgrounds, you can still shake up your world. You can be a tourist in your own city because what you really want and need is stimulation and adventure! Meanwhile, relations with partners and close friends are excellent because fair Venus is travelling through your House of Partnerships. This means you can get along with everyone – even your enemies. Why not treat yourself to new winter boots so that you can trip the light fantastic?

A Thought for Today

Finally, I had time to do tomorrow posts for the northern hemisphere. I will try my best to keep them up.
The Full Hunter’s Moon experiences a partial lunar eclipse on Oct. 28. Here’s what to expect
Two weeks after casting its shadow across the Americas during an annular solar eclipse, the moon will swing around to skim through the northern edge of the Earth’s own shadow on Saturday, Oct. 28.
Eclipses of the sun and moon usually come in pairs. A solar eclipse is almost always accompanied by a lunar eclipse two weeks before or after it, since in two weeks the moon travels halfway around its orbit and is likely to form another almost-straight line with Earth and the sun.
This month will be no exception. Two weeks after casting its shadow across the Americas on Oct. 14 during an annular solar eclipse, the moon will swing around to barely skim through the northern edge of the Earth’s own shadow on Saturday, Oct. 28.
This will be almost like the lunar eclipse in May, though the moon passes not quite so wide of the center of the Earth’s shadow and manages to give the Earth’s dark umbra a glancing blow; an underwhelming postscript to the annular eclipse of the sun that was staged for North Americans exactly two weeks earlier.

Every full moon has its own name based on the month or the season in which it appears. Creating a name for each full Moon allowed people to reflect on each season and how it affects them AND the natural world. There can be some variation on the Full Moon names due to the origins from whence they came.
Most Full Moon names are English translations of Native American names; others are rooted in Celtic, European (Anglo-Saxon and Germanic), and more recent Neo-Pagan origins. I created a guide to each Full Moon, complete with their meanings and how you can celebrate.

3 of Coins
This suit, most often named “Coins” or “Pentacles”, is a symbol for a magical talisman that represented wealth or potential. This suit represents something supportive that is available to you — whether it be health, some kind of talent, a material or financial resource.
The Three is traditionally the card of genius. Here we usually see a master craftsman conferring with his masons on the installation of a beautiful stained-glass window in the cathedral. This designer is often likened to Leonardo da Vinci or Michelangelo, a multi-talented visionary who has no peers in talent or productivity.
The masterwork is being proudly showcased for future generations, as an object of personal and collective pride. On some cards, the genius is portrayed at his studio, alone and burning the midnight oil, in a creative ferment — driven to draw, paint, invent, or whatever work genius wants to bring into creation. As a subtext to the rewards of genius are the days and weeks of intense concentration it takes to solve the problems that great works entail.

Dog meanings and symbolism include adaptability, family, friendship and affection, loyalty and devotion, patience and perseverance, bravery, protection, sensitivity and insight, purpose, and joy. While it’s arguable when dogs first became domesticated, some historians believe it first happened in northern Eurasia between 14,000 and 29,000 years ago. Historical evidence shows that wolves began following nomadic peoples to eat the leftovers from their hunting expeditions. Fast-forward to today, and dogs are now a part of people’s lives all over the world. So, dog meanings and symbolism, including the spiritual meanings of dogs and the dog spirit animal, are important topics to the many people who adore these special animals.

Harvest, completion, initiation

Harvest time has deep significance and meaning for those willing to pay attention. It is both a time of celebration and fortifying oneself for the long journey ahead. Harvest in the old days was a genuinely special time, because unlike nowadays, winter forced most humans into a period of rest. With the advent of the cheap petroleum age, wintertime has become a time of bustling activity as many of us drive and shop in a frenzy to prepare for holidays, but if you think back to times when there were no lights outside of lanterns and candles when the sun set at 4pm, you can rightfully imagine it wasn’t the busiest time of year! Harvests celebrate the bounty of the summer but also the coming death of a year, which is but a larger celebration of the death of a season, which is a larger celebration of the death of the week (the weekend), which is a larger celebration of the death of a day by having a meal and then going to bed. Death is called The Reaper — when we look at this meaningfully, The Reaper is not such a bad guy. He’s taking care of business for us so we can rest and wake up ready and refreshed for the next life. Of course drawing this Ogham does not mean you or someone else is going to die. Instead, look for the culmination of a phase, project, or a way of being. You have reason to recognize and celebrate a job well done, a graduation, an obstacle overcome, or a subtle shift. The end of a cycle, even if it wasn’t the best one, is worthy of recognition and celebration before we rest and prepare for the next cycle. Decadence is not to be feared — a little decadence after hard work is natural and should be enjoyed.

Kên / The Mountain
Above this Mountain’s summit another more majestic rises:
The Superior Person is mindful to keep his thoughts in the here and now.
Stilling the sensations of the Ego, he roams his courtyard without moving a muscle, unencumbered by the fears and desires of his fellows.
This is no mistake.
SITUATION ANALYSIS:
There is a higher vantage point available to you, but it is obscured by the visible peak of personal ambition.
To climb to this higher plane, you must shake off the desires and fears of the conscious, visible world around you.
To make this journey you must quiet the Ego, empty your mind of past and future, and dwell totally in the moment at hand.
Thorough mindfulness of what is before you is the only tranquility.
Be. Here. Now.

From MoonGiant.com
The Moon’s current phase for today and tonight is a Waxing Gibbous phase. Visible through most of the night sky setting a few hours before sunrise. This phase is when the moon is more than 50% illuminated but not yet a Full Moon. The phase lasts about 7 days with the moon becoming more illuminated each day until the Full Moon. This September Full Moon will be the forth and final supermoon of 2023.
During a Waxing Gibbous the moon rises in the east in mid-afternoon and is high in the eastern sky at sunset. The word Gibbous first appeared in the 14th century and has its roots in the Latin word “gibbosus” meaning humpbacked.

A Thought for Today

I know I have been gone for the last few days and I apologize if it has inconvenienced anyone. Life has been in the express lane with trying to help Big Dawg get his job done, which entailed around 1,000 miles from Thursday to Saturday, so we have the money we need to catch up on bills and stay current with them. Yesterday, Sunday, was Big Dawgs birthday and we hosted a birthday luncheon for family and friends. I also have not been feeling well with low energy levels in every aspect of my physical and spiritual life. I finally got a full night of decent sleep last night after a week of yucky, broken sleep every night. But I’m feeling better more grounded and centered so I will do my best each day to being you the regular daily posts. I hope to go back to doing the northern hemisphere’s tomorrows posts too. Thank you for your support and patience during my absence!
May you and yours be blessed with a lot of positive energy dear Sisters, Brothers, and friends.

All Signs
This week the Sun moves into Scorpio to stay (once a year) for four weeks. As the nights lengthen, we enter a more brooding, intense time. (“Winter is coming.”) Loyalty, betrayal and passionate feelings will intermingle with a saucy playfulness as this different energy affects us all. Tuesday might be the best day of the month to be productive and get things done. Yay! By contrast, Wednesday and Thursday are relaxed and dreamy – the lull before the storm. Storm? The Lunar eclipse on the weekend is nasty and can create arguments that erupt out of nowhere. Long suppressed feelings might explode. (We’re talking some serious angst.) Meanwhile, did you know that in one day, your blood travels 12,000 miles – and more, if you eat donuts?
Aries (March 21-April 19)
The next four weeks will be more passionate and intense in practically every aspect of your life. Not just physical intimacy, but also your feelings dealing with partners and friends, especially about financial matters and shared property. You might get your belly in a rash over disputes with insurance companies and banks. Get as much done as possible on Tuesday because this is a productive day. Lie low on the weekend because you are a warrior sign, and when the proverbial caca hits the fan, you’ll be tempted to overreact. Remember that this friction on the weekend is temporary. Let it go.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
For the next four weeks, you will need more sleep because the Sun has moved directly opposite your sign. Since the Sun represents energy, and it is now as far away from your sign as it can get all year (in your chart) – you will be more tired. Meanwhile, this polarized position of the Sun will create a stronger than usual focus on spouses, partners and close friends. The upside is it will give you more objectivity into how you relate to others. You can learn a lot. You can improve your closest relationships. Having said that, by the weekend, you might face some serious opposition from loved ones – spouses, partners and friends. (Is there no justice?)
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This is a high-energy time for you, which is why you will be productive, especially in the next four weeks, because the Sun, Mercury and fiery Mars are all in your House of Employment. This will make you work hard, even if you’re retired. You will set yourself high standards to accomplish a lot. In particular, you will want to work efficiently and effectively because you want your efforts to count. (No slackers!) This is a lovely week to redecorate at home and entertain. However, postpone ideas to do this on the weekend because the Lunar eclipse will create agitation and tricky times dealing with family and friends.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
On the whole, life will be favourable for you in the next four weeks because the Sun has now moved into your fellow Water sign of Scorpio. This means the energy will be supportive to you. Furthermore, the Sun will be travelling through one of the most fun parts of your chart, which is why you will be more playful, creative, artistic and eager to have good times and fun with others, especially children. (Yay!) This is a lovely window to slip away on a vacation if you can. By all means, enjoy sports events, socializing with others and expressing your creative talents. This weekend, be patient with children. Be patient with romantic partners.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Home, family and your private life will be a strong influence for you in the next four weeks because the Sun will be sitting at the very bottom of your chart. (This is the only time all year this occurs.) Some of you will be more involved than usual with a parent. You will certainly be more hands-on with home repairs as you deal with increased chaos, activity and tension on the home front (especially this weekend). Use your playful theatricality to deal with any insanity that you encounter. Meanwhile, you can attract money to you during this time. You will also enjoy spending money to buy beautiful things for yourself and loved ones. Whatever happens, you continue to look mahvelous to everyone!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Be careful and pay attention to everything you say and do in the next four weeks because this window of time will be busy and fast-paced! You might be inclined to speak or act without thinking. (Ouch.) Short trips will be the order of the day. Plus, you will see new faces, new places and be full of new ideas! It’s an excellent time to learn and study. Many of you will be more involved with neighbours, siblings and relatives. You will also want to travel, if you get a chance. Do be aware that this weekend will create an accident-prone energy for you, so be cautious. Fortunately, fair Venus in your sign makes you charming and diplomatic. (A lifesaver.)
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
This Scorpio Sun, which enters your chart this week (to stay for four weeks) will heighten your involvement, interest and fascination with money, earnings and cash flow. You will work harder to earn money. You will have moneymaking ideas. You will also spend money, perhaps large! This weekend the Lunar eclipse (Full Moon) will very likely create some kind of financial angst for you. Something might literally come to a head. It could relate to debt, inheritances, wills, estates or the wealth and resources of someone else. Of course, at this time in your life, you’re working hard, which ties in with your focus on money and earnings. (Even if you’re retired.)
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Once a year the Sun enters your sign to stay for four weeks and that time has arrived. This means you can use this time to recharge your batteries for the rest of the year! You will feel hyped, pumped and raring to go! You will pursue activities that rejuvenate and replenish you, even if it’s exercise or yoga and meditation – both ends of the spectrum. With fiery Mars in your sign now, you have an increased energy to add to the energy of the Sun. (“Look out world!”) And Mercury in your sign makes you talkative and eager to reach out to others. You will also be busy, active and keen to take short trips. Venus will promote warm interactions with friends and groups. Avoid conflict this weekend. Too draining and pointless.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Because your birthday is looming ahead, the next four weeks are a quieter, preparatory time for you. You will fare better by staying in the background and working alone or behind the scenes. Use this “downtime” to think about what you want for your new year ahead (birthday to birthday). This is the perfect time to identify some goals for the next year. Goals give you a clearer focus on what is important. They give you more clarity in decision-making. They give you better control over your future. And they certainly, give you a sense of purpose. Meanwhile, Venus at the top of your chart sweetens all your relations with authority figures, including parents. (Nice.)
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Everyone wants to see your face for the next four weeks, so get ready! Buy something new to wear so you feel confident and pleased with yourself. This is because your interaction with friends as well as groups, clubs and organizations will definitely increase. Quite likely, you will hang out more with younger people. Incidentally, this is an excellent time to set goals for the future. (Read Sagittarius above to see the advantage of making goals.) Travel will also appeal to you, so if you can get outta Dodge – by all means, do so! Meanwhile, be patient with children and friends this weekend. Likewise, be patient with romantic partners.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Once a year, the Sun sits at the top of your chart for four weeks. That time has arrived. Symbolically, this means the Sun is shining down on you, casting you in a flattering spotlight, making you look wonderful to others. Especially bosses and parents (including the police). People are impressed with you even if you don’t do anything special. (Good lighting is everything!) Obviously, while this curious, magical phenomenon is at play, now is the time for you to make your pitch and go after what you want! Financial benefits from others will come your way. (Excellent window of time to seek out a loan or mortgage.) Avoid family arguments this weekend during a wicked Full Moon. Do what you can to keep the peace.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Your ruler is Neptune, and Neptune rules the ocean. As the nights get longer and the weather gets colder – many of you will long to walk barefoot in white sand, sipping a drink with a pink parasol in it, while you gaze at the moon light shimmering on the ocean. The perfect escape! If you can travel in the next four weeks – do so! If not, you can explore avenues in publishing, the media, medicine, the law or higher education. You might take a course or go back to school. Meanwhile, be careful this weekend. Avoid arguments, especially about controversial subjects. Don’t try to win. Do what you can to keep your peace of mind!
Some of the Witchcraft/Magickal Correspondence for Thursday
Thursday is a Jupiter day. Here is the day of the week for prosperity, abundance, and good health. Thursday is “Thor’s day.” This Norse god gave the day his name and many of his attributes, including strength and abundance. Some suggestions for Thursday enchantments would include:
Wearing a regal and royal shade of blue to see how it affects your mood and your magic. Other colors for the day include purple and green.
Carrying a turquoise tumbled stone in your pocket to draw a little protective and healing energy your way
Incorporating honeysuckle blossoms and cinquefoil foliage into prosperity charms
Calling on Thor for abundance, or on the Roman god Jupiter for the ability to peacefully referee a fight
Adding a few oak leaves—which are sacred to these Thursday gods—to your charms to see how much better your spell works out
Casting a charm with wheat stalks for prosperity, and calling on Juno Moneta to bring wealth into your life
Baking up some whole wheat bread and blessing it for abundance. Be sure to thank the gods for your family and your good health.
