The idea bred false conclusions
And a fateful contract
Signed in blood
Ancient text with ancient rite
Demon summoning
Lonely crossroads
It sounded easy
No payment due
Saved until a future day
Bargaining with your soul
What’s the value
None can say
They rather trade it away
Earthly pleasures
They’re easy to see
Wealth, fame, power
Living life so lavishly
Yet time
Time’s a mortal enemy
Try not to think
That eternal damnation
A constant cycle of cremation
But only after pain
And so much suffering
Distract yourself
Try not to see
Deal with it eventually
You want it now
Everything
Eternal youth and diamond rings
Pleasures only flesh can bring
Forgotten was the ancient spell
Your private highway
Your road to hell
Tied now to the hourglass
Amazing run will travel fast
The pact fulfilled
The payment due
Now he comes
Comes for you
Well, it turns out Big Dawg and I somehow got the newest strain of COVID. We are both doing better today but as my allergies are in rare form still, I’m not feeling anywhere near 100% better yet. I know it will be a few more days for me to get back my full physical strength and be able to breathe easier and that’s ok as long as all the aches, stiffness, and pain stay mild I am in good shape to work.
As the results of the 10-question survey stand now all future regular daily posts will go live in this order starting with Wednesday, August 16, 2023:
This will bring 8 emails to your inbox on regular days. There will be more on the 1st of every month, Full or New Moons, and the 8 Witch Sabbats (Imbolc, Ostara/Spring Equinox, Beltane, Litha/Summer Solstice, Lughnasadh/Lammas, Mabon/Autumn Equinox, Samhain, and Yule/Winter Solstice).
If there is a topic you would like me to research than do a post or two on let me know by writing to me at ladybeltane@witchesofthecraft.com By emailing me the topic will not get forgotten or overlooked as it might if you put it in a comment somewhere on the website.

You can use this link to go forward or backward in time for Moon phase information. If you are curious, you can even find out what phase the Moon was in when you or anyone else was born.
The Moon’s current phase for today and tonight is a Waning Crescent phase. This phase is best viewed just before the sunrise in the western sky. In this phase the Moon’s illumination is growing smaller each day until the New Moon. During this part of the Moon cycle, the Moon is getting closer to the Sun as viewed from Earth and the night side of the Moon is facing the Earth with only a small edge of the Moon being illuminated. It can also be a great time to see the features of the Moon’s surface. Along the edge where the illuminated portion meets the dark side, the craters and mountains cast long shadows making them easier to observe with a telescope or binoculars.
Visit the August 2023 Moon Phases Calendar to see all the daily moon phase for this month.
The Waning Crescent on August 15 has an illumination of 1%. This is the percentage of the Moon illuminated by the Sun. The illumination is constantly changing and can vary up to 10% a day. On August 15 the Moon is 28.72 days old. This refers to how many days it has been since the last New Moon. It takes 29.53 days for the Moon to orbit the Earth and go through the lunar cycle of all 8 Moon phases.

There are 8 lunar phases the Moon goes through in its 29.53 days lunar cycle. The 4 major Moon phases are Full Moon, New Moon, First Quarter and Last Quarter. Between these major phases, there are 4 minor ones: the Waxing Crescent, Waxing Gibbous, Waning Gibbous and Waning Crescent. For more info on the Moon Cycle and on each phase check out Wikipedia Lunar Phase page.
