Spell for Today – A Bloodstone Protection and Courage Spell

Now that you are starting to get into the passionate, courageous, and daring qualities of Tuesday, here are a few more spells for you to experiment with. Don’t be afraid to adapt these spells to suit your needs. Add some tarot cards, herbs, scents, crystals, or essential oils to these Tuesday spells, and crank up the volume on your own witchery! As long as your intentions are honorable, I am sure they will work out beautifully

A Bloodstone Protection and Courage Spell

The bloodstone, when worn or carried, brings courage and eliminates fear and anger. The bloodstone was often used as a talisman for athletes and warriors. When you need a little extra courage and bravery to face challenges and stressful, scary situations, give this practical Witch’s spell a whirl.

For this particular crystal spell, you will need a few supplies: a red spicy-scented votive candle, a votive candle cup, three bloodstones (inexpensive tumbled stones are perfect), a photo of yourself or a small snip of your own hair, a small cast-iron cauldron, and matches or a lighter. Set up on a safe, flat surface.

Place the photo or snip of hair in the bottom of the cauldron. Now place the candle inside of the cup. Set this in the center of the small cauldron, on top of the photo or the hair. (If you are worried about the heat damaging the photo, then set the photo beneath the cauldron.) Next, arrange the three bloodstones around the candle cup. Ground and center yourself. Then, when you are ready, light the candle and repeat the following spell three times:

On this Mars day, there is fiery energy to spare

I call for courage and passion to know, to will, to dare

Three green bloodstones and a burning candle of red

I call for bravery and banish fear and dread.

Focus on the flame for a few moments. Believe in your ability to handle the situation, whatever it may be.

Close the spell by saying:

For the good of all, with harm to none

By Mar’s energy, this spell is done.

Let the candle burn until it is consumed. If this is an ongoing problem or conflict, then repeat the spell every day for one week (in other words, from a Tuesday until the following Tuesday). Clean out the votive cup and light a new red votive candle for each day of the spell. When you are finished working this, clean up your setup, and put away all of the spell components. If you like, you can carry those tumbled bloodstones with you to help reinforce your convictions.

Scientists finally uncovered the source of the deadly ‘Blob’ that cooked the Pacific

A huge patch of water in the Pacific Ocean along the North American coast warmed above typical seasonal temperatures in late 2013.

This increase, named the “Blob” after a 1958 horror film about an alien life form that grows as it consumes everything in its path, lasted an abnormally long period of time and decimated sea life, killing fish, birds, and many other marine animals, particularly in 2015 and 2016.

The Blob has made at least two appearances since then, and now, a team of scientists has pinpointed the systematic warming in the Pacific Ocean that spurred the Blob’s rise, according to a study published in the journal Nature Communications Earth and Environment. Their modeling reveals the source of the Blob is not natural climatic variation, but rather human influences.

The source

A team of researchers led by Armineh Barkhordarian, an expert on atmospheric science and member of Universität Hamburg’s Cluster of Excellence “Climate, Climatic Change, and Society,” demonstrated how the long-term warming pool has contributed to local marine heatwaves.

The most recent marine heatwave, which lasted from 2019 to 2021, caused water temperatures to…

Mysterious ‘Lord of the Universe’ Deity from Ancient Palmyra Finally Identified

The identity of an unknown god described in inscriptions from the ancient city of Palmyra, located in modern-day Syria, has long baffled scientists. But now, a researcher declares that she has cracked the case.

Palmyra existed for millennia and the city flourished around 2,000 years ago as a center of trade that connected the Roman Empire with trade routes in Asia, such as the Silk Road.

The anonymous deity is mentioned in numerous Aramaic inscriptions at Palmyra and is referred to as “he whose name is blessed forever,” “lord of the universe” and…

Moon Alert

There are no restrictions to shopping or making important decisions until 9:30 PM EDT today (6:30 PM PDT). The Moon is in Sagittarius.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You’re pulled in two directions today. In one way, you’re in a no-nonsense mood, and want to attend to practical matters. Nevertheless, another part of you wants to run away and join the circus. It’s your call. (Pack a lunch.)

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Listen to your sense of determination today because you want to set things straight with financial matters, banking issues, insurance and inheritances. You have the energy to make this happen, and very likely, authority figures will agree with you. This is good!

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

You have to accommodate others today because the Moon is opposite your sign. However, all parties might need to bow to the authority of knowledge and wisdom today because teachers and experts might have some good advice for you.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

This is a strong way to start your week! The Sun and Mercury are in your sign, which means you are empowered and ready to speak up about whatever concerns you. Today you want to get better organized. A little help to do this would be appreciated. Hello?

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is a good day to sit down in a common-sense way and discuss the financial and everyday needs of children. You might have this discussion with a parent, a babysitter or a partner. Or perhaps you want practical solutions to sports matters or something in the entertainment world?

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

An older relative or parent might have practical advice for you today. It certainly never hurts to listen. After all, they might have some solid viewpoints you didn’t consider. Why not cover your bases and hear what they have to offer? The bottom line is you want to get things done.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You’re in the right frame of mind today to study or make plans or talk to people about practical issues. You might even give someone directions or advice. Because you’re in a calm, reflective mood today, you might prefer being alone with your own thoughts.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

If shopping today, you will want to buy long-lasting, practical items. No frills, please. This is because you feel thrifty and sensible today, especially when it comes to your money and your personal wealth. Nevertheless, you can still make future travel plans.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Today the Moon is in your sign dancing nicely with stern Saturn, which means you will prefer the company of serious people. You’ll be happy to consult someone older, wiser or more experienced for their advice. You’ll take a prudent, careful approach to anything you do.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

It will please you if you get some time to be alone with your thoughts today so that you can do some quiet meditation or rethink certain issues. That’s because you’re in a careful frame of mind today, especially when it comes to practical matters.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a solid day to seek the advice of someone older, wiser or more experienced than you. This person could be a friend or a teacher. In particular, you want to ponder future goals and how practical or not they might be. Perhaps you need some advice?

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Discussions with bosses, parents and VIPs will be practical and fruitful for you today. Since you are taking a careful approach to any kind of work that you do, you want to make sure that you’re on the right track so that there are no later regrets. (Smart!)

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actor Connor Paolo (1990) shares your birthday today. You have charm and charisma. You are friendly, easy-going, kind and generous. Although you can be a dreamer, you are actually focused, motivated and ambitious. Service to others, especially to family, is your theme this year. Others will turn to you for comfort and courage. Therefore, take good care of yourself. Perhaps it’s time for a makeover?

Spell for Today – Shield Spell Printable

Some of the Witchcraft/Magickal Correspondence Digest for Tuesday

From LearnReligions.com

Named for the Norse god Tyr, who was a deity of heroism and combat, Tuesday is a very martial sort of day—color associations include bright red and oranges, as well as warrior-like metals such as iron and steel.

The ancient Romans called this day Martis, after the warrior god Mars—other deities associated with Tuesday include Ares, the Morrighan, and other gods of battle and glory. Red gemstones like rubies and garnets come into play on Tuesdays, as do herbs and plants such as thistles, holly, coneflowers, and cacti—you’ll notice these are all sharp, prickly plants!

One of the interesting—and more than a little amusing—aspects of Tuesday magic is that in addition to war and conflict against your enemies, this is a day also associated with marriage. You can also use this day of the week for magical workings connected to protection and initiation. Use Tuesday to assert yourself, make a mark and stake your claims.

Noctilucent Clouds over Paris

Credit & Copyright: Bertrand Kulik

Explanation: It’s northern noctilucent cloud season. Composed of small ice crystals forming only during specific conditions in the upper atmosphere, noctilucent clouds may become visible at sunset during late summer when illuminated by sunlight from below. Noctilucent clouds are the highest clouds known and now established to be polar mesospheric clouds observed from the ground. Although observed with NASA’s AIM satellite since 2007, much about noctilucent clouds remains unknown and so a topic of active research. The featured image shows expansive and rippled noctilucent clouds wafting over ParisFrance. This year, several northern locations are already reporting especially vivid displays of noctilucent clouds.
