All Signs
This is a marvellous week to socialize! Plan a party! Reach out and contact friends, as well as widening your social circle by meeting new people. In fact, it’s not just this week that promises fun energy – the next several weeks are perfect for summertime socializing! Mercury is in Gemini, which makes everyone eager to communicate and curious enough to engage. The Full Moon on Tuesday is powerful. Act on every chance to do good because what goes around comes around. But hey – always remember: You moon the wrong person at an office party and suddenly you’re not “professional” anymore. (Ain’t it the truth?)
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This is a lovely, upbeat week for you because the Sun and Mercury combined makes you want to take short trips and talk to everyone. Your pace is accelerating with a busy schedule of errands and appointments. Meanwhile, with fiery Mars in your sign, you have lots of energy to do what you want; and lucky Jupiter (also in your sign) is bringing you good fortune and divine protection. (Oh yeah, it doesn’t get much better than this!) Meanwhile, Venus in your Money House, will attract money to you as well as entice you to buy beautiful things for yourself and loved ones. Be patient and helpful on Tuesday’s Full Moon.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Your ruler, fair Venus, is in your sign now, which gives you a great desire to relate to others. It makes you warm and diplomatic when talking to friends. In fact, you will want to make peace if there is dissension. It’s the perfect time for vacations, parties, socializing, or doing whatever gives you pleasure – and who loves their creature comforts more than you? Basically, when Venus is in your sign, you will put pleasure above work. Nevertheless, let us not forget that you are the financial wizard of the zodiac, so you’re also going to keep an eye on your money and cash flow. (“What am I? Stupid?”) Swami sees all, knows all.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This week the Sun is in your sign, pumping you with energy. And now your ruler Mercury joins the party! This makes you want to express your POV to others; which, incidentally, you will do in an entertaining way because you will put a lot of yourself into whatever you have to say. Your mind will be busy and excited, which is why it will jump from topic to topic very rapidly. You will have a strong urge to get out and travel, preferably short trips. You will enjoy physical activity, (especially competitive) with groups. As I mentioned last week, many of you are still dabbling in secret love affairs. Go with the flow while your mind is exploding with ideas. You’re pumped!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Like everyone else, you will feel a strong urge to socialize and be friendly this week. Nevertheless, unlike others, you still have a desire to keep a low profile or work alone or behind the scenes. Therefore, the choice is entirely yours. Nevertheless, opportunities to hang out with younger people (especially creative, artistic types) will please you. Be patient with coworkers at the beginning of the week. After the Full Moon peaks on Tuesday, these relations will soften and become smoother. Act on your ambition to achieve because Jupiter is at the top of your chart making you look great in the eyes of others; and this blessing comes only once every 12 years. Use it!
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
You’re keen to socialize this week! Enjoy the company of friends as well as groups, clubs and organizations to which you might belong. You will especially enjoy meeting new faces. In particular, you might be stimulated by hanging out with younger people, who make you feel younger. Your idealism is aroused. However, one of the reasons you feel good is because people admire you. (We like.) In fact, this admiration could lead to a saucy flirtation with a boss. Meanwhile, your urge to get outta Dodge is strong! Take a short trip so that you at least, can get a change of scenery. This is a good week to think about goals and expectations. Likewise, examine your attitude towards groups. Do these people benefit you?
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
The Sun is still at the top of your chart, which means it is casting a flattering light on you. This is why bosses, parents and teachers are impressed with you even if you don’t do anything special. (Good lighting is everything.) As Mercury starts to move across the top of your chart, you will contemplate more serious plans about your professional life and your career. You might decide to take up a new study or learn something. Communications with others, especially bosses, will be important. Meanwhile, because travel for pleasure still appeals, grab every chance to take a short trip or fly somewhere to have a thrilling adventure. “Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we’re here – shall we dance?”
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
You are one of the most sociable signs of the zodiac, which is why you will love this week ahead because it is full of opportunities to schmooze and enjoy the company of others. Nevertheless, be careful at the beginning of the week, when champagne bottles are popping, because Tuesday’s Full Moon will create a slightly accident-prone influence for you. Therefore, think before you act or speak. In addition to this, Mars is opposite your sign, and this creates tension with partners. (These are the little things you have to watch for this week.) Aside from that, it’s a fabulous week to travel and meet people from other cultures. Romance will be passionate and affectionate. Gifts, goodies and favours from others will come your way. What’s not to like?
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Financial issues come to a head at the beginning of the week – no question. Very likely, they will involve banking, bills, taxes and shared property – possibly inheritances. However, like others, you want to party this week, especially with Venus opposite your sign. When Venus is opposite your sign, it is literally the best position for all relationships – love affairs, friendships, coworkers, even time spent with your enemies. (“She’s not so bad.”) In part, this is because you will more easily express your affection for others. Plus, you are motivated to get along. Accept all invitations to par-tay!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Is this a marvellous week to socialize and have fun with others? Definitely yes. Does this week have the only Full Moon in your sign all year? Another definite yes. Therefore, be careful Sunday and Monday before the Full Moon on Tuesday, because you will feel tension building up with others, especially partners and close friends. However, once you pass that speedbump, it’s all systems go for the rest of the week! Fiery Mars will make you want to boogie with others and have fun. Playful activities with kids, sports events, the entertainment world – are all great choices. Have a picnic! Throw a barbecue! Invite coworkers because right now, relations with people you work with are excellent. (Maybe even cozy.)
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
This is a marvellous week to socialize and enjoy friendly encounters with everyone. Nevertheless, your primary focus is to work efficiently and get things done. (It’s just what’s happening right now.) Despite the fact that both the Sun and Mercury want you to roll up your sleeves and get busy — fair Venus wants you to party! That means this is a week where you will do both. Work hard, party hard. Let’s face it, you have to deal with sorting things out at home – no question. (Increased activity and chaos on the home front continue to be a challenge.) Remember the advice of Oscar Wilde: “Hear no evil, speak no evil, and you will never be invited to a party.”
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Well, this week is play city for you! You’re ready to have fun and fortunately, so is everyone else. (Perfect timing.) Make a point of entertaining at home. Invite someone over. This will motivate you to act on your urge to redecorate and tweak your digs (which you want to do). You also want to travel, explore and talk to others, especially young people. Check out sports events and fun diversions. (After all you are the networker extraordinaire of the zodiac.) You love reaching out and connecting people because this makes you feel fulfilled in a worthy way. And to be sure, what higher calling than to remind everyone that we are interconnected all the time?
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Live for today. Plan for tomorrow. Party tonight! This is your motto not only this week, but in the month ahead. Admittedly, Tuesday’s Full Moon might create a bit of tension at home on Monday. Fear not because this will be quickly resolved. Entertaining at home will be your best option because of your strong focus right now on home and family. In fact, many of you are tackling home repairs and having meaningful family discussions. Fortunately, Venus will make your words sweet, which is why your everyday interactions are warm and friendly. Caution about hemorrhaging money. You’re tempted to buy a lot of stuff right now – do you really need it? (Shoes? Well, that’s different. Of course!)

Moon Alert
Avoid shopping or important decisions from 5:15 PM to 6:45 PM EDT today (2:15 PM to 3:45 PM PDT). After that, the Moon moves from Scorpio into Sagittarius.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Quite often, Aries has a short fuse. (You know who you are.) Therefore, if you’re unhappy about financial matters today, or dealing with banks or talking to someone older or someone in authority – zip thy lip. You’ll be glad that you didn’t say something that you might later regret.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Today Mercury is in your sign at odds with Saturn, and an opposing Moon, which means it’s easy to fall into an argumentative mode or be grumpy with others. Let’s face it, there is no upside to this. Your best choice is to demonstrate grace under pressure. Be cool.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Today you have to make an effort to cultivate a positive frame of mind because it’s easy to default into a bad mood. The thing about a bad mood is that not only does it make other people feel ill at ease, it certainly makes you feel lousy. Remember – a smile is just a frown turned upside down. (Corny but true.)
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Avoid squabbles with friends and members of groups today because they will easily arise. Likewise, you might have disputes with your kids or about banking issues, inheritances or shared property. Yes, it’s that kinda day. Remember – patience is the antidote to anger.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This is the classic day for family arguments, arguments with partners and spouses and arguments with parents and bosses. Oy vey. We all know that it’s hard to keep your shirt on if you want to get something off your chest. Be patient with others to avoid a nasty rift.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Steer clear of political issues and controversial subjects like race and religion because they will quickly escalate into an argument, which is something you don’t need. Put yourself first. This means don’t engage in arguments, instead value your own peace of mind. You matter.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Financial disputes are likely today, especially about inheritances, banking matters or something to do with your kids or the cost of a social event. These are all things that can get your belly in a rash. Meanwhile, you are one sign that needs harmony in your environment. Remember this.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Today the Moon is in your sign at odds with Mercury and Saturn. Furthermore, this is all taking place in Fixed Signs, which have a stubborn, unyielding quality. Avoid squabbling with friends and family over plans. Far better to chill out with a movie or something fun.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
You might disagree with how a work project is going today. Or perhaps, your disagreement is based on something you’ve been worried about, which means you feel sensitive about this subject. You’re anxious. Instead, channel your energy into sports or some fun diversions.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Don’t threaten a warm friendship or relations with someone by angry squabbles today, which can easily happen. They might relate to a social occasion, or your kids, or something to do with the arts or the entertainment world. Stay chill.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Be aware that you are high viz. and people notice you today. All the more reason to avoid arguments with bosses, parents and authority figures because why end up with egg on your face? Not cool!
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
This could be an accident-prone day for you because of your emotions. That’s because you might be angry at someone and this anger will distract you from whatever you’re doing. Fortunately, Venus will soften your words.
If Your Birthday Is Today
41st US Pres. George H.W. Bush (1924-2018) shares your birthday today. You are sociable, friendly, witty and intelligent. You are curious about everything; and you hate to be bored. (This can make you change moods quickly.) You have excellent business savvy. This is a year of service, especially to family and friends. Therefore, take care of yourself. (Perhaps even do a makeover.)

Find the Man in the Moon
Image Credit & Copyright: Dani Caxete
Explanation: Have you ever seen the Man in the Moon? This common question plays on the ability of humans to see pareidolia — imagining familiar icons where they don’t actually exist. The textured surface of Earth’s full Moon is home to numerous identifications of iconic objects, not only in modern western culture but in world folklore throughout history. Examples, typically dependent on the Moon‘s perceived orientation, include the Woman in the Moon and the Rabbit in the Moon. One facial outline commonly identified as the Man in the Moon starts by imagining the two dark circular areas — lunar maria — here just above the Moon‘s center, to be the eyes. Surprisingly, there actually is a man in this Moon image — a close look will reveal a real person — with a telescope — silhouetted against the Moon. This featured well-planned image was taken in 2016 in Cadalso de los Vidrios in Madrid, Spain. Do you have a favorite object that you see in the Moon?

Moon Alert
There are no restrictions to shopping or important decisions today. The Moon is in Scorpio.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Today is full of unpredictable events for your sign, especially financial matters or something to do with your possessions. This means that you might suddenly receive an unexpected boon. Money, gifts or advantages might come your way. Or alternatively, you might suddenly lose money or something you own. Not good!
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Today you seek adventure! You might be full of Walter Mitty dreams or wish for the derring-do of d’Artagnan. “All for one and one for all!” This is because you want excitement and new experiences, especially in love and romance. (Good luck. Don’t leave home without a rose between your teeth.)
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
This is a restless day for you because it’s as if you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. This is because basically, deep down, you seek excitement today! Something new and different — but you’re not sure what or how it should happen. It’s a tricky balance.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Today a friend might surprise you by doing or saying something you least expect. This might also happen if you’re involved with a group or an organization. Alternatively, you might see meet someone today who is exciting and different. Who knows?
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Something sudden and unexpected might affect your public reputation or your career today. A boss or someone in authority might praise you. You might even get a promotion or a raise? You might develop a crush on a boss? Admittedly, it could be a different surprise. Something not as nice.

Not a boring day.
If Your Birthday Is Today

Your surroundings matter to you because you love beauty in everything. This is a year of change and greater personal freedom for you, which means you must be flexible and open to new ideas and directions.

You can use this link to go forward or backward in time for Moon phase information. If you are curious, you can even find out what phase the Moon was in when you or anyone else was born.
From MoonGiant.com
The Moon’s current phase for today and tonight is a Waxing Gibbous phase. This phase is when the moon is more than 50% illuminated but not yet a Full Moon. The phase lasts about 7 days with the moon becoming more illuminated each day until the Full Moon. During a Waxing Gibbous the moon rises in the east in mid-afternoon and is high in the eastern sky at sunset. The moon is then visible through most of the night sky setting a few hours before sunrise. The word Gibbous first appeared in the 14th century and has its roots in the Latin word “gibbosus” meaning humpbacked.

The Road and the Milky Way
Image Credit & Copyright: David Cruz
Explanation: At night you can follow this road as it passes through the Dark Sky Alqueva reserve not too far from Alentejo, Portugal. Or you could stop, look up, and follow the Milky Way through the sky. Both stretch from horizon to horizon in this 180 degree panorama recorded on June 3. Our galaxy’s name, the Milky Way, does refer to its appearance as a milky path in the sky. The word galaxy itself derives from the Greek for milk. From our fair planet the arc of the Milky Way is most easily visible on moonless nights from dark sky areas, though not quite so bright or colorful as in this image. The glowing celestial band is due to the collective light of myriad stars along the galactic plane too faint to be distinguished individually. The diffuse starlight is cut by dark swaths of the galaxy’s obscuring interstellar dust clouds. Standing above the Milky Way arc near the top of this panoramic nightscape is bright star Vega, with the galaxy’s central bulge near the horizon at the right.

Pagan and Magickal Terms and Definitions
Today’s Word is
Burning Times
From moonlitpriestess.com
Alternate term used for the inquisitions specifically dealing with rooting out witchcraft that occurred in several cultures spanning many generations; a period of turmoil in which there was Catholic and Protestant conflict. Millions were accused of and an estimated 30,000-300,000 were executed for being witches. Those executed were hung (most common), stoned, drowned, or burned. Few of the victims worshiped Pagan deities; many considered themselves to be good Christians – though some did practice old folk traditions that are common in modern Witchcraft as the term is used today. This period was riddled with prejudice, discrimination, sexism, ignorance, and mass hysteria; it was an attack primarily against women and non-Catholics, not the equivalent of modern Witches.
