Spell – Sachet for the Expectant Witch or Anyone with Chronic Pain

SACHET FOR THE EXPECTANT WITCH

To be used in the bath or as a dream pillow to soothe away the discomforts of pregnancy.

1/2 tablespoon lemon balm 1 teaspoon lemon verbena 3 tablespoons lavender
2 tablespoons rose petals 1 teaspoon mugwort 7 drops of pure jasmine oil

Mix together all of the ingredients in your cauldron or a wooden bowl.

Continuing our working with herbs in Magick. We are going to dial this back so we can study two herbs per week. Aloe has a feminine aspect. It is closely connected with the Moon and with the element of Water. In magickal workings, we use Aloe for beauty, protection, peace and success. Known for the healing qualities it can bring, using this herb in magickal working can help to boost any healing energies that you wish to send to the Universe.

When working a magickal healing spell, one could place this herb on the altar and ask the plant to lend its energy to your workings. There is also an element of luck that accompanies this particular herb as it has the ability to heal itself, the plant itself is lucky. But what this herb is most used for in magickal working is protection and healing.

INGREDIENTS

  • Light your rosemary incense, cast a circle and call the quarters if you wish.
  • Anoint a white candle using any of the oils suggested above and light it.
  • Mix the herbs in a mortar and pestle and say:
    “Herbs of green, herbs of health,
    Give me well being, good luck, and wealth.”
  • Repeat this chant until the herbs are well combined and crushed.
  • Add the herbs and oils to the salt in a bowl.
  • Stir with the pointer finger of your dominant hand and say the charm again, until you’ve said it nine times in total.
  • Take a few deep breaths, letting the scent go into your sinus cavities.
  • Open your circle if you’ve cast one and let the candle burn down.
  • Place the bowl in the middle of the room you’re most in and your sinuses should clear.

Spell for Today – To Dispel Nightmares

What You WIll Need

  • 1 White scarf
  • 4 cloves
  • pinch of basil
  • pinch of ground sage
  • Soothing essential oil such as lavender or vanilla
  • Quill with black ink
  • white ribbon

Lay the scarf out and olace the spices (ground sage, 4 cloves, basil) into the scarf and add 2 drops of oil. Gather the scarf at the top (like a moneybag) and tie it with the ribbon. On the outside of the scarf draw the nightmare that that follow you.

Place the scarf under your pillow and sleep with it there.
