This quote hit home for me. Part of my problem over the last few months has been depression and not wanting to really face my grief from Starbabie and Cleo crossing the rainbow bridge. It is hard to lose a life and magickal companion when you multiply it by two it is even harder. Now that I am letting myself grieve and not pushing memories of them a side I am slowly coming out of my deep depression. The bigger breaks between some posts is because I also have not been taking breaks to move around away from my computer to walk around and stretch like I should which effects my fibromyalgia and not moving around sometimes during posting is adding to my flares being worse.

I won’t apologize for allowing my mental and physical health effect my work on here because it is what it is. I will hope you can understand where I have been and where I am going now.

I thank you all for your continuous support, love, and not giving up on read what I have been posting or not posting. I am sharing this so others going through a rough time know they are not alone even in their darkest times. I am here to “listen” if you want to talk or vent or scream or just whatever you may need. I am not here to replace a doctor or therapist or any other health care professional I am just here as a person willing to be there for you no matter what is going on in your life. Let me add I am an ordained minister so anything you want to share with me will never go any further than my eyes or ears. If you want to email me, send it to ladybeltane@witchesofthecraft.com. Spell For Monday – Mirror Glamour Spell to Change Your Appearance

(YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE ANY SPELLS POSTED TO A DOCUMENT TO PRINT AND/OR SAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY)

Mirror Glamour Spell to Change Your Appearance

Best performed: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the Waxing or Full Moon

Spell Ingredients

1 Small Mirror, best if decorated with a silver frame or handle

1 Palo Santo Stick

1 Red Candle, to add power to the spell

1 Rose Quartz, plus more to decorate

Micellar Water

Cotton ball or cotton pad

Any Jewelry or makeup you plan to wear

Spell Directions

  1. Cleanse: Use the Palo Santo to cleanse your sacred space and all items for this glamour ritual! (PSST: This spell can be done anywhere, your vanity, your bathroom, or in your magickal space.)
  2. Cast: Cast your magickal circle to seal in the energies of your sacred space.
  3. Decorate: Decorate your space with your mirror and extra rose quartz. (You can place crystals in places that feel right on your altar/counter OR you can create a beauty illusion crystal grid.)
  4. Prep/Create Glamour Potion: Add one rose quartz to your micellar water. Say: “Pasithea, Aphrodite, see my wishes shine through brightly.”
  5. The Spell: Hold the mirror in your recessive hand, the hand that receives.
    1. Look at your face, specifically at the part that you want to change. Say: “My face (or specific part of you) seen only to me. I create the canvas for others to see.”
    2. Still looking at your face, dip your cotton into the micellar water. Enchant the cotton by saying: “Now a canvas, I wipe it clean, Only what I visualize shall be seen.”
    3. Begin wiping the Micellar Glamour Potion over your full face, being sure to pay special attention to the the area you want to change. As you wipe, allow your vision to go cloudy, like you would when scrying in a black mirror.
    4. Look into the mirror and see exactly what you want others to see. Be sure to see the rest of your face in tact as well. (I usually go for a folded eyelid flap above my eyes.)
    5. Once you’re satisfied with your visualization, say, “What I see will be seen by all, until I let my glamour fall. And it harm none, so mote it be.”
  6. Close your circle: Place the mirror down, thank Aprhodite and Pasithea and release your circle.
  7. Repeat: Glamours take multiple and repetitive visualizations and energy to keep up. So everytime you pass a mirror, visualize your glamour. People who don’t know you well will see your glamour, and over time, close friends will notice your glamour, and after a long time, the glamour becomes physical.

Pine Needle Syrup Reciepe

This just sounds yummy to me. I just hope I can fine fresh pine needles top make it from. Let me know if you try it and how it turns out.

It’s a Scandinavian thing, really it is! Drive down the road in Denmark during pine needle picking season and you’ll see Danes pulled off to the side of the road foraging pine needles.  Seem strange? No stranger than juniper berries or rosemary! I got turned on to this delight several years ago when I attended my first Nordic Culinary conference in Seattle. I loved it and immediately my brain went to work on what I could do with it.

My first thought went to cocktails (of course it did)…it is a simple syrup, and my mind danced with baked good ideas (still working on that one), I even did a pork belly glazed with it (which was freaking good, but then again, it was pork belly).

This is a very seasonal offering, you only pick the bright green freshly grown new pine needles.  I like to pick mine at the cabin, it makes for easy foraging (yep, I am that lazy).  There are side effects, when you pick the new growth you stunt the tree’s growth.  I am careful to not pick all off of one tree or all on one side.  We happen to have some young trees that are too close to our cabin, they need to be cut down for fire safety, in the mean time I happily stunt their growth.

After that it’s just a matter of making a simple syrup and steeping the pine needles for 12 to 24 hours.  I like to add crushed juniper berry or rosemary (sometime both) to mine for a more complex savory flavor.

Pine Needle Syrup

Yields 2

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup organic granulated sugar
  2. 2 cups water
  3. 2 to 4 cups foraged pine needles, rinsed
  4. 1/4 cup crushed juniper berries (optional)
  5. 1 ounce rosemary sprigs (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan bring water and sugar to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add pine needles, juniper and/or rosemary if using. Turn off heat and let simmer 12 to 24 hours.
  2. Strain well in clean jars. Store covered in the refrigerator up to 3 months.

There will be a couple of extra posts starting with today’s posts. Starting with Monday’s posts I will be changing the posting times to go out as I do them rather than how they enter your inbox now. I cannot guarantee that they will start at 9:00 AM CT daily but daily posts will be done each day. The reason for the change in posting times is so I am less stressed about being up early enough to have everything to start posting at 9:00 AM CT. This will help me to get my fibromyalgia and tension migraines to start calming down. I am tired of having trouble walking because it is so painful and to me using manmade pain killers too often. I hope I have your understanding and support in putting my health and frankly have mt quality of life improve by doing this. If some of you choose to quit following me because of these changes I understand and wish you all positive things in you and your family’s lives.

I Need Your Help to Figure Out Why Readership is Going Down

Please tell me what I am doing wrong. Since August 2023 views have gone down by more than half. I have done surveys earlier this year to ask you what you want to see on the website as regular posts and have tried to keep the number of emails flooding your inbox down. After trying to do what you want with WOTC my readership has gone way down which means the small amount of money I can make has gone from being paid monthly to every three months. The ads viewed have to add up to $100.00 USD in order for me to make this amount of pocket money.

I am really wondering if you all would like me to give the website to someone else or just let it go completely. I’d keep paying the $40.00 USD yearly to keep the domain name. I feel I am leaving the founder of WOTC, Lady Abyss, down with these number dwindling every month.

Please help me figure out how I am failing you. Should I go back to about 15 to 20 posts every day to bring you more information on a daily basis? Are there regular posts I stopped to keep the number of emails you get that you would like to see me bring back?

You my dear Sisters, Brothers, and Friends are the only ones that can help guide me by telling what you want from WOTC. This is your website more than it is mine I’m just the person behind the scenes bring you what you want. Please be honest even if you think you may sound brutal in the comments or write to me at ladybeltane@witchesofthecraft.com to tell me what I am doing wrong and what you want to see on here.
