Daily Feng Shui Tip for Nov. 9th – ‘Chaos Never Dies’

The energies associated with this day might say that ‘Chaos Never Dies’ but remaining cool, calm and collected in the face of chaos can be as easy as taking four drops of Bach Rescue Remedy flower essence under the tongue, three times a day for as many days as it takes to assume a state of harmony and peace. Chaos will die quickly with this proven anxiety easer in hand.

Daily Feng Shui News for November 8th – ‘Cook Something Bold and Pungent’

Today’s energies ask us to ‘Cook Something Bold and Pungent.’ Here’s a recipe for one of my favorite vegetable meals, Asparagus with Mustard Sauce. You will need two tablespoons of ghee or butter, a half cup of whipping cream, two heads of garlic, peeled and diced, two tablespoons spicy brown mustard, one tablespoon fresh lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste. You will also need two pounds of fresh asparagus spears, trimmed. In a small pan, melt the butter over a low heat and add the garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until the garlic is browned, approximately five minutes. In another bowl blend together the cream, mustard, lemon juice and condiments. Bring two quarts of water to a boil over medium heat and cook the asparagus until tender, about three minutes. Drain the asparagus, place on a serving plate, pour the sauce over it, and then top with the browned garlic. Bon appetite!

Daily Feng Shui New for Nov. 6th – ‘Birthstone Of November’

The birthstone of November is the mystical, magical topaz. The ancient Greeks believed that this gemstone had the power to give strength, improve eyesight and make its wearer invisible in times of emergency. Ages-old traditions also say that topaz is a symbol of friendship, love, fidelity and purity. I suppose that getting all of those gifts from this one stone would make anyone celebrating one have a very happy birthday this month!

Feng Shui News for Nov. 5th – ‘Gunpowder Day’ & ‘Guy Fawkes Day’

It’s getting hot in here as we take a look at ‘Gunpowder Day’ and ‘Guy Fawkes Day.’ The Gunpowder Conspirators were a group that in 1605 plotted to blow up the British Houses of Parliament while the King of England and his supporters were in the buildings. They only thing that got blown was their plan, as it was foiled right as Fawkes was about to ignite the gunpowder. People in Great Britain still celebrate this day with bonfires and fireworks. Feng Shui says hanging a string of faux fireworks in the ‘Fame’ (fire element) area of the main floor will ignite your own ambitions and bring you a fair amount of recognition and rewards. This time around, it will be your reputation that will blow up.

Feng Shui News for Nov. 4th – ‘Candles & Birthdays’

Today is my son’s eighteenth birthday and I am truly honored to be his mother. Today, I will bless him with protection by using the glow of fire. Feng Shui says that burning a white and rounded candle for the first seven days of a baby’s life, or on any birthday and the six days that follow it, will help to ward off illness, injury and disease. This wisdom says that the fire from this light will burn away energies that might bring serious sickness and that protection from illness would prevail. Parental protection from upset and harm is one of the best gifts I can think of to give my birthday boy. Well, that and some cash.

Feng Shui News for Nov. 3rd – ‘Housewife’s Day’

It’s ‘Housewife’s Day’ and I want to offer a Feng Shui cure that promises financial independence to the female of the family. This ages-old tradition tells that a woman who wants to be financially free should put three rosemary plants on any windowsill in her kitchen. According to this modality, the kitchen is considered the ‘room of abundance’ while rosemary is also believed to attract prosperity and abundance. Give yourself the gift of manifesting money by growing it as well.

Daily Feng Shui News for Nov. 1st – ‘All Saint’s Day & All Souls Day’

Today’s ‘All Saint’s Day’ holiday recognizes the over ten thousand saints of the Christian Church. It’s interesting to note that originally both ‘All Saint’s Day’ and tomorrow’s ‘All Souls Day’ celebrations were in May. They were moved to November to downplay the pagan energies associated with Halloween, with the hope being that if moved these Christian holidays would slowly overtake the ‘pagan’ ones. No such luck. If you’re looking for luck, invoking the intercession of Saint Cayetano could be just the ticket. This patron saint of prosperity and gambling dedicated his life to helping others build their fortunes, so ask him to help you build yours too. Can’t hurt, right?

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 31 – ‘Happy Halloween’

BOO! Happy Halloween! Today, make sure that your little trick or treaters eat something nutritious before heading out for the evening haunt. They’ll be exciting thinking about their bounty and who they will play tricks on, but they need something to offset the eventual sugar overload. Sugar on an empty stomach can cause bad headaches and moods, so a piece of chicken or even some celery and carrots will keep them happy on Halloween.

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 30 – ‘Traveling With Your Pet’

Today, let’s take a look at how to easily travel with your pet. Starting a few days before you leave, put three or four drops of pure peppermint essential oil in their water. Don’t forget to pack the peppermint either. While you’re away, continue putting the peppermint oil in your pet’s water. That way, they may be more willing to drink unfamiliar smelling or tasting water while away from home.

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 29th – ‘Hermit Day’

On ‘Hermit Day’ I want to look at the Hermit card, one of the most powerful cards in the ‘Tarot’ modality. On this card the Hermit stands alone on the top of a mountain with a staff in one hand and a lantern in the other. Mountains traditionally symbolize achievement, accomplishment and growth. The Hermit has reached a spiritual pinnacle and now wants to share that knowledge with others. He is a symbol of the ultimate awareness. His staff represents power and authority while also symbolizing the ability to influence the subconscious mind. The lantern represents sharing his inner light with the world. If you resonate with any of these qualities, keep an image of the Hermit close by. That way you will not only honor the wisdom within yourself but you’ll also be able to shine your own light on your own special path to find your own power within.

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 28th – ‘St. Jude’s Day’

When I was a young girl, my mother would tell me to say a prayer to Saint Jude whenever I had any sort of troubling concern. She promised that no matter how big the worry, Saint Jude would take care of it. He is, after all, the patron saint of Lost Causes and has been known to help those who are in despair. Since today is ‘St. Jude’s Day,’ I want to take the opportunity to thank him for all his aid and assistance! I have absolute faith that Saint Jude will intercede almost as soon as he is invoked. But instead of calling on him for help today, I just want to celebrate him and his graceful ways. St. Jude reminds us that we are never alone — at least not as long as he or I have anything to do about it!

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 27th – ‘Mother-In-Law Day’

Because I hope to be a great one someday, I’d like to share an excellent gift to give your own on this ‘Mother-In-Law Day.’ Actually, this Feng Shui tip is a great gift for any woman. This philosophy says that giving a woman three fresh rosemary plants (that she should keep on a window ledge or any place in the kitchen) will also gift her with financial stability and independence. And if that doesn’t make you her favorite son or daughter-in-law, then I don’t know what will.

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 25th – ‘Tourmaline’

The birthstone most associated with October is the tourmaline. An old Egyptian legend tells how this stone, when making the trip from the heart of the earth up to the sun, traveled along a rainbow, collecting all the colors along the way. No matter the color, all tourmaline are said to increase self-confidence while neutralizing negative energies as well. Tourmaline is also believed to dispel fear, relieve grief and aid in concentration and communications. I think that you’ll agree that this surely is one precious gem!

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 24th – ‘United Nations Day’

The monistic theory of the Universe that many is all and all is one is the basis for almost every philosophical tradition known to man. Therefore, on this ‘United Nations Day’ I propose that we all join as one and say the following prayer for peace, remembering that peace in all nations begins with peace in your own soul and your own home. Therefore, peace, like charity, begins at home. Let us call upon the angel that historian and angel archeologist JoAnn Cornug tell us will bring resolution to conflict while soothing aching spirits across the globe. Say this prayer if you want to add to this intention: ‘Labbiel, Labbiel, Labbiel, I call forth truth and peace in my world now and continuously.’ Can I get an amen?

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 23 – ‘TV Talk Show Host Day’

Here’s another day close to my own heart and ambitions. It’s ‘TV Talk Show Host Day’ and I’d like to share a Feng Shui cure that I enact whenever I want a host or producer to want to book me on their show. I will take an image of the host and on the back I will write the date that I want to be on their show in red ink. I then position that image in my ‘Fame’ area and every day I spend time visualizing how my guest appearance will go when I am called to be on the show. I even visualize how happy I will be after I hang up the line from the call. This has never failed to manifest some sort of media for me. Even it it’s not the original show I was hoping for, it’s always something better. Let’s call this one big dreams for the small screen.

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 22nd – ‘Seasonal Allergies’

Leaves of many blazing colors now cloak the trees as autumn glows in full glory. But even with all this natural beauty, the shifting seasons can often have you feeling like a slave to seasonal allergies. If you find that you’re shedding as many tears as there are leaves on the ground, then try a simple aromatherapy remedy. Add ten drops of pure eucalyptus oil to six drops each of true lavender oil and chamomile and drop this mix into a bowl of steaming spring or distilled water. When diffused into your immediate environment, this synergistic blend should stop the wheezing and sneezing and even help dry those eyes.

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 21st – ‘Information Overload Day’

Coming right after yesterday’s ‘Information Overload Day’ is another day that suspects that you have your head in the clouds. It’s ‘National Clean Your Virtual Desktop Day’ and I’m sensing a clutter theme — in this case, tech clutter like unreturned emails and voice messages, undeleted texts and old bookmarks. All this clutter can have the same negative effect as physical clutter. Take some time today to clean up your virtual mess and you’ll feel much more confident and clear.

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 20th – ‘Information Overload Day’

This ‘Information Overload Day’ is a good time to be reminded that you have all the information you’ll ever need sitting right inside you. Unplug, get quiet, and listen to the small voice within. The information it wants to share can magically and positively change your life. Give yourself three minutes each day to get quiet and connect with your own source. The only thing that will be overloaded is your sense of happiness and harmony.

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 18th – ‘World Menopause Day’

Where do I even begin on ‘World Menopause Day?’ Let’s start at the beginning. I’m talking about those days of hot flashes and irritability, mood swings and lack of sleep. Native Americans used black cohosh to effectively improve almost all menopausal symptoms, and to this day, studies show that using this flowering plant helps improves physical and psychological symptoms that include anxiety, night sweats and dryness. Of course and as always, check with a qualified professional before beginning any new medicinal protocol. But if you’re a women currently dealing with any of these symptoms, try this amazing herb — you’ll thank me later.

Daily Feng Shui News for Oct. 17th – ‘Black Poetry Day’

On ‘Black Poetry Day’ I want to share an affirmation of sorts pulled from one of my favorite Langston Hughes poems. I kept this quote by my bed while growing up and even now I still refer to it, especially when I find myself getting a bit off kilter. Here is the poem ‘Motto’ in full: ‘I play it cool, I dig all jive, That’s the reason I stay alive. My motto, As I live and learn, Is dig and be dug in return.’ I dig this. I hope that you do too.
