The voice of doom is loud in our land. It is predicting unheard of fears and possibilities. But we have the antidote in our mouths – our words. Words are powerful, able to turn away the negative thoughts and words of those who have no purpose but to degrade. We don’t have to let other people decide that we are victims of every attack, every disease, every wrongdoing. Our u in ne tsv (words), say the Cherokees, are mighty to pull down anything or any person that lies in wait to harm us. Life and death are truly in the power of the tongue – and our part is to study the use of words and their effects on us. We know what it is to hear words of courage. It is light entering a dark place and we hear as well as speak.

Start with the total relaxing meditation to fully relax your body and mind.

Feel all the tension leaving your body, if out side thoughts or noises enter you mind put it in a bubble and let it go.

Focus on your breathing normally so that with each breath you relax more and deeper.

Now visualize in your minds eye a stair case with 10 steps. as you begin to descend the steps see each step, feel the step under your feet. Starting at 10, than 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, getting deeper into a relaxed state with each step, 3, 2, 1.

When you reach the bottom you’ll see a door that leads to a special room that only you can enter into. It can be any scene that you want, when your ready open the door and walk in, look around and sense your surroundings. What’s in the room? What does it smell like? or feel like to you?

If you want you can sit down or walk around and change anything you want (remember it’s your room) do what you like.

When you ready you will see a person coming towards you, you are not scared, you feel love and are comfortable,( this is your spirit guide) As he or she walks closer to you they will offer you a gift, take it, open it. What is the gift? what does the gift represent to you? Thank them for the gift.

Now you may ask any questions that you may have for them. eg: name, age, or maybe any special messages they may have for you. Take you time!

When your ready to leave say good bye. You may go back at any time you wish.

Go out the door and begin to start up the stairs.. with each step you will begin to feel more energized, more awake. when you reach the top you will feel better and more energized than before.

Lily joined our household in November 2011. We lost our sweet eighteen-year-old calico “Cali” last year. When we saw Lily we knew it was time to add her to our household in memory of Cali. She looks a lot like a “Lucky Cat” you see in Asian restaurants, and we are the lucky ones to have found her. She was abandoned in a house with her sister kittens and rescued by a local cat organization. We spotted her in a local pet store chain where she was up for adoption. It was love at first sight. Lily is petite, fetches, drinks water from faucets, and watches everything we do with great interest. We see that adorable pink nose up close all the time. Lily’s favorite activity is to prance up the staircase with a small plastic yogurt cup in her mouth, then throw it downstairs, over and over. Her vocalizations are various and unique — she meows loudly and frantically while she waits for us to get out of the shower. She says “mmmmm” with a question mark at the end to great us when we enter a room. She also carries on conversations. She has the markings of a calico or tri-color Japanese Bobtail, but as you can see, she has a long tail with a white dot at the end. She is extremely calm and gets along well with two males cats in the household, ages eight and eleven. In fact, she rules!

When we were born, we could not walk or talk or even focus our eyes. But the ability to do all these things and more was born in us. By continual effort, we still grow and learn and develop our identities. We learned early that we were not a bird and not an animal. And this is where personality begins to question – then, what am I? Who am I? Why am I here? Is this an identity crisis? No, it is a belief crisis. Every person has a hard time believing he has a specific reason for being here. Some have such a hard time believing that they go out and demand what others have. They see themselves outside the circle – not believing their own words and beliefs put them where they are. To a Cherokee status is freedom to move, freedom to achieve honor within himself, freedom to worship, and freedom to do what is right without ridicule.

{Chaste Moon Spell}

This divination method is a variation of dactylomancy, which is an ancient form of divination that used rings. One method places gold or silver rings on the fingernails in ways that reflect the conjunctions of the planets. Another method involves using a wedding ring by either hanging it on a string like a pendulum or casting it in a bowl of water where the bottom has been mapped out so that where the ring lands determines its meaning in term of the divination.

You will need a ring that you wear around your finger for the spell. As you are getting ready to go to sleep, determine the aspect of your life that you want to address in the moon ring divination. It can either be a specific question or an area where you need insights as to what’s happening.

Drifting to sleep, twist the ring clockwise on your finger nine times while saying:
