Current Moon Phase

You can use this link to go forward or backward in time for Moon phase information. If you are curious, you can even find out what phase the Moon was in when you or anyone else was born.

From MoonGiant.com

The Moon’s current phase for today and tonight is a Waning Crescent phase. This phase is best viewed just before the sunrise in the western sky. In this phase the Moon’s illumination is growing smaller each day until the New Moon. During this part of the Moon cycle, the Moon is getting closer to the Sun as viewed from Earth and the night side of the Moon is facing the Earth with only a small edge of the Moon being illuminated. It can also be a great time to see the features of the Moon’s surface. Along the edge where the illuminated portion meets the dark side, the craters and mountains cast long shadows making them easier to observe with a telescope or binoculars.

All Signs

Most of us are fortunate enough to be able to look forward to a wonderful week ahead. It will be a week full of romance, social opportunities, fun outings, playful times with kids, increased interest in sports, the arts, the theatre, movies and musical performances plus pleasant opportunities to kick back and relax. It’s almost vacation time! This lovely influence will sail along until the weekend, when things get a bit more challenging on Friday the 10th, when people might suddenly be critical and trigger challenges with authority figures. In fact, Saturday is an accident-prone day. Nevertheless, most of this week is a winner. So, relax and take it easy. Don’t worry about being lazy. Hey, you want lazy? Real lazy is whoever named the fireplace.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You’ll enjoy schmoozing with others both at work and in your social world. It will be easy to get along with others because everyone seems to be so charming. Meanwhile, you’re happy because both of your Money Houses are activated in a lovely way. This means you might boost your earnings. You might buy beautiful things that please you. You might also benefit from the wealth and resources of your partner or someone else, even the government. You might get a loan or a mortgage because doors will open for you. Admittedly, disputes about insurance matters and inheritances might take place. Nevertheless, you charm everyone this week!

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This is a playful week for you, so, grab every opportunity to party. Accept invitations from others to visit and share fun times. Classic occasions like sports events, Happy Hour, fun gatherings and exploring the arts will be a source of enjoyment for you. Relations with spouses and partners are strongly highlighted now because Mercury, Mars and the Sun are opposite from your sign. Naturally, as I mentioned last week, you will need more sleep – do you respect this, or you’ll end up looking like your zombie passport photo. Everything is about timing. Sometimes it’s perfect to work, and sometimes it’s perfect to goof off and have fun. This is a week for fun.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

This week might have a few curious challenges for you because most people want to goof off and play. Of course, for the most part, you would love to do this as well. Nevertheless, right now, three planets are urging you to work and be efficient and productive! This means your only recourse is to work hard and party hard. For starters, it’s a lovely time to entertain at home. However, there will be opportunities to party and schmooze with others, plus enjoy movies, the theatre, musical performances, sports events and fun times with kids. Figure out how to juggle these entertaining invitations with your aspirations to be productive. Work fast and work smart so you have time to play.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Everyone wants to socialize this week but for your sign – it’s almost a dedicated responsibility. Slip away on a vacation because you are so ready for fun! Do what you want. Call the shots. Don’t feel guilty about not working. You might redecorate your home or make where you live look more attractive. You will certainly enjoy entertaining at home. But on the whole, this week is about pleasure, fun times and relaxing so you can be happy. Studies show that, “People who take vacations have lower stress, less risk of heart disease, a better outlook on life, and more motivation to achieve goals.”

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

A pleasant week, indeed! Basically, your focus on home, family and your private life continues. And although this is a wonderful relaxing week, nevertheless, you will putter around your home doing repairs and improving things. (Yes, this could trigger a bit of friction but nothing nasty.) Meanwhile, you will enjoy buying beautiful things for yourself and others. You will also enjoy the beauty of your daily surroundings. The sum total of all these influences is that you will be happier and you will appreciate your life. (Would that all people could enjoy your good fortune.)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is a fast-paced, busy week with many opportunities to enjoy fun times, entertaining diversions and sparkle in the company of others. For starters, Venus is in your sign on Monday and Tuesday, which will make you oh so charming. Then for the rest of the week, Venus will tend to attract money, gifts and goodies to you. (What’s not to like?) Meanwhile, your restless nature is aroused, which means you want a change of scenery. This is the perfect time to travel to learn new things and explore the world around you. If you cannot travel far, then take short trips or be a tourist in your own city. Do something to get out of your familiar routine.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

This is a charming, fun filled week for you. Enjoy laid-back, easy-going energy on Monday and Tuesday. By Wednesday, your ruler Venus moves into your sign heightening your charm and people skills. Meanwhile, the Sun, Mercury and Mars are all in your Money House attracting money to you and encouraging you to think of moneymaking ideas. (Admittedly, this gathering of planets will also encourage you to spend money because money is flowing in both directions.) This continues to be an excellent time to benefit from other people’s money, including banks and financial institutions. Good time to get a loan or mortgage. Romance is also favoured this week, which means you have opportunities to enjoy romantic outings as well as initiate new relationships.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

This is a powerful week for you because the Sun, Mercury and your co-ruler fiery Mars are all in Scorpio. (This is why you really come alive at this time of the year.) Relations with friends and groups are smooth, friendly and mutually supportive. In fact, some of you might turn a platonic friendship into a romantic one. “And just like that …” In fact, some of you will explore a secret love affair starting this week. Nevertheless, relations with partners and close friends are supportive, upbeat and meaningful, especially because you have a chance this year to learn more about who you are through your closest relationships. Meanwhile, many of you are priming the pump for a big shift which begins next year, especially in terms of how you view your home and family relationships. Pretty heady stuff.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You’re dealing with mixed messages this week. For starters, fair Venus, which is a socializing influence, is at the top of your chart creating favourable circumstances for your business and professional life. Venus will also attract bosses and important people to you. It also makes others admire you. You might be asked to join a group. A friend might become a lover. New romance with a boss or someone who is a mentor figure or more established might easily begin. Meanwhile in another part of the forest, the Sun, Mercury and Mars are “hiding.” This means that you also will want to withdraw and shy away from the limelight. It’s a curious mixed bag.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

This is a social week! Lucky Capricorns are travelling for pleasure and enjoying fun outings in fascinating new locations. (“I should have packed tropical.”) Have the courage to explore new avenues and meet new people because many of you will strike up a new relationship with someone who is “different.” In fact, romance is highly favoured this week. (Remember that you look attractive to everyone.) As Venus shifts signs, you will impress people in power – authority figures, bosses and teachers, perhaps so much so that a flirtation will begin with someone older or more established. Groups and associations want to see your face. (It’s nice to be appreciated.) Pay attention driving, walking, jogging and cycling this weekend to avoid accidents.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a fabulous week for you because the Sun is still at high noon in your chart casting you in a flattering spotlight. This means others admire you. At the beginning of the week, your passion is lusty; and by midweek, you’re attracted to people who are “different.” (You have always been attracted to characters.) Grab every opportunity to travel for pleasure if you can. Make an effort to explore your own neighbourhood or your city because countless exciting and curious places exist very near to you. Although this is a fun-loving, romantic week, be careful this weekend because it will be an accident-prone time for you, especially at home or within your family. Be mindful and aware.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

This is a romantic week! Expect to strike up new relationships or flirtations. Because you have a strong sense of adventure, along with a desire to travel and see more of the world — you might meet younger people from different backgrounds. And because you’re setting out on a new path to reinvent yourself in the next six years, you will be more open than usual to meeting people who are different from you. You will love to study and learn this week because basically, you’re looking for ways to expand your world. However, do be aware that this weekend is an accident-prone time. Pay attention to everything you say and do, especially driving, walking, jogging and cycling. Be alert!

TIPS FOR MAGICKAL HEALING SPELLS c. 2014

TIPS FOR MAGICKAL HEALING SPELLS

  • Where illness derives from bewitchment, particularly where a hex was cast using some sort of tool like a wax figure,it may be necessary to find and remove the trick for healing to be accomplished. There are also usually specific magickal antidotes and jinx-reversing spells. {These issues are dealt with amongst hexes and their antidotes).

  • In general, one must cast one’s own spell. How every healing spells are unusual in that it;s very likely that someone else just cast the spell on behalf of the ailing person. The Person who needs or  desires the spell may be in   no condition to perform the spell. Most, although not all, healing spells demand the presence and sometimes the participation of the patient however.

  •  Given the opportunity to choose, many traditions assert that the full moon  is the best time to initiate healing-spells because as the moon diminishes, so should pain and illness.

Spells Of Magic – Part 2 of Spell Casting

Source: witchspellbook.com

Everybody loves some power. Power can open doors that are closed to others and it can close doors to misery. Many people are always wondering what it takes to get the power to change things and live the way they desire. While many will never get the answer, there are some who have discovered it. These are the people who use spells of magic.

know that spells and spell casters are often misunderstood by many people saying that black magic spells are evil and white magic spells are holy. There are also many more who find it challenging to separate magic from evil witchcraft. This is the reason why I am planning to ensure that by the end of this article, you have at least enough knowledge about magic spells; including ancient magic spells.

(Nothern Hemisphere’s Custom Planetary Positions post will return Sunday, November 5th after the time changes is done for this hemisphere. It is too confusing for me right now to have half of the hemisphere already changed their time and the other half hasn’t. With my fibromyalgia letting me know it’s in a super flare affecting my thinking because of brain fog I just can’t do it right now without messing it up completely. I’m lucky to get all the other posts done as sometimes I forget what I am doing in the middle of a post, and it take me a bit to be able to focus again.)

Cast A Spell – Part 1 of Spelling casting

(I will be posting the rest of this article through out this week)

When you are new to the whole idea of casting a spells it may actually be a challenge to know what you need to do in order to cast a spell. What makes this even worse is that everybody seems to have an idea of what needs to be done but many of these people actually have no idea what they are talking about.

It is important to be clear how exactly to enchant if you want to cast a spell that is effective. But why is it so important? You may ask. The truth is that spells do not usually work unless they are cast properly. Ask anyone who has ever cast love spells and they will tell you how important it is to know exactly what needs to be done if you want the process to produce the right results.

Spell For Wednesday – Make Someone Call You

(YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE ANY SPELLS POSTED TO A DOCUMENT TO PRINT AND/OR SAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER) Use the link below for more information from Tea and Rosemary about the following spell.

Make Someone Call You Source: teaandrosemary.com

This spell to make someone call you is pretty simple, but you will need a few ingredients to cast it effectively.

Ingredients:

A bay leaf (or piece of paper)

A red candle (you can substitute white if needed)

Your cellphone

A pen

I like to use a tall candle or chime candle for this spell, but you can also use a tea light candle if that’s all you have.

First, always cast a circle before beginning any spell work. Not only does it protect you from negative entities, but it keeps your energy within the circle, making the spell much stronger.

Once the circle is cast, you’re ready to begin your spell work.

Write down the name of the person (who you wish to call you) on the bay leaf using a marker or a pen, then light the candle.

Turn your phone off and flip it over so you can only see the back. Place the bay leaf on top of your phone.

Gather your energy. It can take 10-15 minutest to gather energy energy for a strong spell, so don’t rush this part. I like to use the candle flame to pull energy from, but this is a personal preference.

When you feel ready, focus on your intention and repeat the following chant:

“The desire is strong
You want to call me
You cannot stop it
Do it
Do it
Do it
So mote it be”

Repeat this chant as many times as you feel is needed. I typically say it only once, but you can say it 3 times, 7 times, or as many times as you’d like.

When you’re done, burn the bay leaf in the candle flame then snuff out the candle; use a snuffer instead of blowing the candle out as that effectively blows your spell out.

The spell to make someone call you is now complete: you can close your circle and turn your phone back on.

November 2023 Celestial Events (Including Retrograde Planet Information)

November 2023 Celestial Events Source: labroots.com

Labroots believes in the sharing of knowledge, and we wish to highlight key celestial events for November 2023 that all skywatchers are sure to enjoy. The night sky is full of wonders, from our Moon to planets to objects both within and well beyond the reaches of our solar system, and the events listed below are sure to get you excited for the wonders of astronomy. Each event is labeled in all caps for the type of event (e.g., MOON, PLANET, COMET, etc.) to provide skywatchers additional excitement to catch these incredible events!

November 3 (PLANET): Jupiter will be in opposition. This means the Sun, Earth and Jupiter will be lined up with Jupiter being the farthest of the objects. An object’s opposition means this is the most beneficial time to observe it, as it will be closest to Earth, along while being fully lit by the Sun, meaning it will be in its full phase.

November 4 (PLANET): Saturn ends retrograde motion. This means Saturn’s path across the sky will stop going in reverse and start moving forward again. Retrograde motion is experienced for all planets since they all orbit at different speeds, so they appear to move backwards during specific times of our year. For example, Saturn began appearing to move backwards in the sky on June 17 and will end this period on November 4 of this year.

November 5 (MOON): Last Quarter Moon. When observing from the Earth, this is when the entire left side of the Moon is lit while the right side is encased in darkness.

November 6 (METEOR SHOWER): Peak of Southern Taurids meteor shower. This means the Southern Taurids meteor shower will be at its maximum and viewers are recommended to see them just after midnight with an estimated five meteors per hour and some are anticipated to be fireballs.

November 9 (MOON and PLANET): The Earth’s Moon and the planet Venus will pass within 1-degree of each other.

November 10 (COMET): The comet C/2023 H2 (Lemmon) will make its closest approach to Earth, also known as perigee, at 0.19 astronomical units (AU), or approximately 17,662,000 miles away. For context, the orbit of Mars is approximately 50 million miles from the Earth’s orbit, so Lemmon will be between Earth and Mars during its perigee.

November 11 (MOON and STAR): The Earth’s Moon and the star Spica will pass within just over 2-degrees of each other.

November 13 (MOON): New Moon. When observing from the Earth, this is when the entire Moon will be completely encased in darkness.

November 14 (MOONPLANET, and STAR): The Earth’s Moon will pass just over 1-degree from the planet Mercury and just under 1-degree from the star Antares.

November 16 (PLANET and STAR): The planet Mercury will pass just over 2-degrees from the star Antares.

November 18 (METEOR SHOWERPLANET, and SUN): Peak of Leonids meteor shower. This means the Leonids meteor shower will be at its maximum and viewers are recommended to see them just after midnight with an estimated 10-15 meteors per hour and some are anticipated to be fireballs. Additionally, Mars will be in conjunction with the Sun, meaning the Red Planet will be on the opposite side of the Sun from Earth. This is clearly unobservable, but just a neat way to know where Mars will be located during this time.

November 2023 Moon Details

The Full Moon for this month will occur later in the month on Monday, November 27th. The New Moon is earlier in the month on Monday, November 13th.

About November’s Full Moon

With the changing of the seasons, November’s full moon marks the beginning of the end. In many different cultures, November’s full moon is intimately connected with death and loss, on both a literal and symbolic level. The Celts, for instance, called it the Reed Moon, comparing the mournful music made by wind instruments to the ghoulish sounds of spirits being drawn into the underworld. And not without good reason – the Full Mourning Moon marks a dangerous time of the year where people could easily slip into the underworld with a single misstep.

We may enjoy the luxury of winter coats and central heating now, but freezing to death during the long, dark winters used to be a very real threat to early inhabitants of Northern America. In order to survive, making warm winter clothing out of beaver fur was crucial for American colonists and Native American tribes. This is why November’s full moon is also known as the Beaver Moon. During this month, beavers are very active, working hard on dam construction, and so this was a good time to start harvesting their fur.

Missing the timing for this would mean death for these early Northern American communities, as the rivers would freeze over, making it impossible to set out traps. Many Native American tribes, including the Cree, Arapaho, and Abenaki tribes, called November’s full moon the “Moon When Rivers Start to Freeze”. This name drives home the importance of November’s full moon as a signal for these Native American tribes to begin trapping beavers before it was too late, as well as to complete their preparations for the darkest depths of winter.

For the Pagans, on the other hand, the final stage of their winter preparations involve the very important process of “mourning” – which is why they call the last moon before the winter solstice the Mourning Moon. After a full year of accumulating possessions, both physically and otherwise, the Mourning Moon is the perfect time to let go of old, unnecessary things, while giving yourself permission to mourn their passing. Practicing Pagans may perform a moonlit ritual where they write down the things they want to rid themselves of, and ask their Goddess for help in removing unwanted burdens.

Pagan traditions aside, anyone can benefit from taking the time to self-reflect and to let go. Take advantage of the Full Mourning Moon this November to look back on your year and take stock of your desires, your ambitions, your mental and behavioral habits, and the people you spend your energy on. Clean your living and work spaces, and sort out the physical objects that are not contributing to your well-being. Take the time to fully mourn and let go of anything – or anyone – that does not bring you joy, so that you can begin to move forward, unfettered, towards a lighter and happier new year.

Singles may find it hard to get suitable love mates. Married couples should strive to maintain cordial relationships. Health will not pose many serious problems.

HORSE

Horses will have mixed fortunes during the month. Career progress will be affected due to bad performance and bad relations with colleagues at the office. More sincere and efficient work will help to minimize the distressing situation.

Finances will be stressful, and all risky investments should be avoided. Singles will have good opportunities to meet their prospective lovers. Married people will have a tough time, and there will be the possibility of breakups. All efforts should be made to save the relationship. Planning for a child should be done with care

Health will be affected by stress at the workplace and in the family surroundings. Proper relaxation and outings with family members will help in maintaining good health.

SHEEP

Sheep people can look forward to average fortunes during the month.

Career opportunities promise to be profitable. There will be possibilities for promotions and financial incentives based on hard work. They will come in contact with experts in the field, which will be beneficial for their career progress.

Relationships are in for bad luck during the month. Singles will not be able to get suitable love mates. Married people will face constant disagreements with their partners. They should make the necessary compromises to keep the marriage moving.

MONKEY

Monkeys can expect increasing fortunes during the month. Career professionals will make appreciable progress in their careers. The leaders will appreciate your performance, and there will be promotions with financial benefits.

Finances will be positive, and the money flow will be enough to cover the regular expenses. Singles can choose the right love partners in their social interactions. There will be friendship between married couples without any significant differences. The partners will go out of their way to maintain harmony.

Health can be maintained through a strict exercise and diet program. Mental health will require outdoor activities coupled with relaxation.

ROOSTER

Fortunes will decline for the Roosters during the month.

Investments require expert advice and good planning. Risky investments will end up in substantial financial losses. It is not a good month for love relationships.

Singles will hardly get a chance to meet suitable love mates. Third-party intervention may prove a spoiler for marital relationships. Extra-marital affairs should be strictly avoided for the marriage to move forward.

DOG

Fluctuating fortunes mark the lives of Dogs during the month.

Career progress will be good for diligent professionals. The management will recognize your performance. Single Dogs can hardly expect to meet suitable love mates, and the chances of relationships are bleak.

Married life will be constantly affected by severe conflicts, and the relationship will be highly stressful. Finding solutions for problems and maintaining harmony in the marriage is significant.

PIG

Fluctuating luck will mark the lives of Pigs during the month. Career progress will be good, provided Pigs can successfully overcome the demanding situations at work.

Finances for boars will see good profits from the previous savings. Speculative investments should be avoided at all costs. General Monthly Horoscope by Maria DeSimone

November 2023: Love makes the world a more beautiful place — and this month, it will be all around us! Venus enters Libra, its home sign, on November 8. Until it leaves again on December 4, we’ll have extraordinary support for both relationship harmony and aesthetically pleasing projects (like decorating) that we want to move forward with.

A New Moon in Scorpio on November 13 could bring an unexpected turn of events. It grants us the ability to expose and heal secrets, lies, or even fears that were once crippling. This will also prompt us to seek a deeper connection with others, although we should avoid using another person’s weakness against them to promote our own agenda. The ends won’t justify the means.

Then, on November 24, Mars enters Sagittarius. It’ll be time to chase passionate experiences! We will be inspired to grow and expand our horizons. Mars will show us the courage of our convictions that push us forward in any area of our life that requires us to be true to our beliefs. Even so, the Full Moon in Gemini on November 27 might bring mixed messages under the cosmic spotlight, creating more confusion than anything else. The ruler of this Full Moon, Mercury, will square nebulous Neptune. Information will be revealed, but we shouldn’t blindly trust it.

November 2023 Gardening by the Moon Phase – Printable or Save to a Word Document on Your Computer

November 2023 Gardening by the Moon Phase Source: mooncalendar.astro-seek.com

Please read this first:

Please keep in mind, that Gardening by Moon Phase and Gardening by Moon Zodiac Sign are two different/independent biodynamic systems and they might give you different or contradictiory gardening recommendations. Try to experiment also with these two zodiac systems to find which system suits you better.

1) Moon Phase x Moon Zodiac Sign:

a) Each Moon Phase (except Full Moon and New Moon) lasts about 1 week

b) Each Moon Zodiac Sign lasts about 2.5 days

2) Tropical (Astrological) x Sidereal (Astronomical) Zodiac:
(1-2 days difference in Leaf, Fruit, Root and Flower days)

There are two different zodiacs for determining the Moon Sign:

a) Tropical zodiac (Astrological) is based on the seasons – Vernal Equinox is fixed as 0° Aries (The 1st Fruit day)

b) Sidereal zodiac (Astronomical) takes into account Precession of Equinoxes and shifts 0° Aries back by cca 1-2 days. Maria Thun who was an authority on biodynamics was using this Sidereal zodiac

Moon Sign is calculated according to:

Moon Sign is calculated according to:
