Today's Quiz: Which Spirit Keeper do You Need?

Quiz: Which Spirit Keeper do You Need?

Native American traditions speak of four powers, or Spirit Keepers,  associated with the four directions, animals, colors, and qualities, that may be  honored and invoked, celebrated and worked with in order to bring ourselves into  better balance with What Is.

Take this simple quiz to see which Native American Spirit Keeper would be  most helpful to you now:

Look at the following sets of three statements. Which set of three is most  true for you?

A

1. I long for a sense of renewal and quickening in my life.

3. I feel that increased intelligence, intensity, and purity would be helpful  to me now.

2. I desire to be more grounded.

3. I feel that increased endurance, stability, and introspection would be  helpful to me now.

C

2. I desire a sense of awakening and newness.

3. I feel that increased Light, spirituality, and far-sightedness would be  helpful to me now.

D

1. I long for discovery in my life.

2. I desire a sense of unfolding and organic growth.

3. I feel that increased vitality, intuition and awareness of feelings would  be helpful to me now.

If you chose A, you need the Power of the North. Animal: Buffalo Color: White The Power of the North clarifies the mind and purifies our  mental being.

If you chose B, you need the Power of the West. Animal: Grizzly Bear Color: Black The Power of the West activates the intelligence of the  physical body and enables it to work with the material substances that  constitute our flesh, blood and bones.

If you chose C, you need the Power of the East. Animal: Eagle Color:  Yellow The Power of the East enables us to be enlightened with sudden  flashes of inspiration and understanding through our innermost “self,” which is  the noblest aspect of our total being.

If you chose D, you need the Power of the South. Animal: Mouse Color:  Red The Power of the South empowers and strengthens the intuitive “self.”

Spend some time facing or contemplating the direction you chose. Connect with  those qualities within you. You may want to petition the power animal of that  direction to help and guide you.

Need An App for Meditating (Boy, they have everything these days, lol!)

Free Guided Meditation Tool

Have you been wanting to get into  meditation but didn’t know where to start? There’s an app for  that!

Former monk-turned-meditation-guru Andy Puddicombe wants everyone to learn  the power of meditation, and his Headspace project is all about helping people  learn how to meditate. His Headspace app for iPhone or Android is a powerful tool for  anyone looking to learn the basics of meditation and start a regular  practice.

If you’re not familiar with Puddicombe, check out his inspiring TED Talk  above about the power of taking 10 minutes to meditate each day. Or, as he calls  it “doing nothing.”

I just started using the app recently, and I’m already loving it! The basic  program is a series of ten ten-minute meditation practices, which you go through  in order. Each day builds on the previous day’s practice. After that, there are  a couple hundred other meditations that you can try in any order that you like,  though the additional programs are not free.

Before you do your first meditation, he also walks you through a short series  of videos to help you get in the right headspace for your practice. He  emphasizes that meditation is a skill, and that you shouldn’t force it. One of  the things I’m digging most about this program is that he frequently reminds you  that it’s OK if your mind wanders and it’s OK to have conscious thoughts while  you’re meditating. The key is noticing when that happens and observing those  things without letting them effect you.

I also love the tone of the program. There is no new-agey music, creepy  whispering narrator, or strange sound- or voice-effects. He just calmly walks  you through each day’s exercise. If you prefer more of a new-age spin on  meditation, this app might not be for you.

Take Ten, Day One  Video

This is the introductory video from the Headspace Take Ten series. The rest  of the series is available via the Headspace app for iPhone or Android.

BANISHMENT SPELL For LOVE GONE WRONG

BANISHMENT SPELL For LOVE GONE WRONG

This is a spell for love gone wrong, for ending a personal, family or business

Relationship  that you no longer wish to be in. It is a fire spell.  To work it, gather herbs of protection and an image of the person (photograph, poppet, etc.) Something written in their own hand, a lock of hair, a piece of clothing

or a personal object will also do. Put everything into a fireproof container – iron cauldron, marble mortar, whatever – and set fire to it as you perform the spell. Add the photograph or a piece of paper with the person’s name on it if you have trouble getting the fire going. It should make a very satisfactory blaze that reduces to ashes. The ashes can be buried or washed down a drain.

Flush them down a toilet if you are very angry. Dispose of all the objects that connect you to the person:  gifts, letters, photographs, etc. It is especially important to get rid of jewelry.   Move house if you have to.  Be careful with this spell. It’s permanent, so don’t use it unless you really mean forever. It’s also powerful. The person I used it against had a pregnant wife, and their child was born with a hole in its heart-lived about six months or so and died! . So be careful!

Recite with me here now, and then again if you decide to actually use this spell, but be forewarned is very POWERFUL and the outcome you so desire may not be the case unless you truly meditate and focus beforehand!

” By the crimson and the gold

By basilisk and bloodstone

By the garlic in the fields

By the poppies and what they yield

Invisibly I make my shield

To detect thee and deflect thee

And keep thy harm from me.

By dragon’s blood and salamanders

By horses when their hooves strike sparks

By the dragon breathing flames

From the Book of Life I erase thy names

I cut the cords and unlock the chains

I sever all the ties by which we were bound

And with impenetrable walls myself I surround

Against thy power and its source

Against thy evil and its source

Vesta, Pele, Lilith

Kali Kali Kali

I banish thee forever from me

And any harm from thee to me

Doubles back and tables turned

Thou shalt by thyself be burned

Lilith, Vesta, Pele

Kali Ma Kali Ma

By the power of three times three

I banish thee, I banish thee, and I banish thee

I am set free

So mote it be!”

To Bind A Lover To You

To Bind A Lover To You

Take a small mirror which your lover has looked into. Without looking into the mirror, break it into small pieces. Bury the broken mirror in your yard or in a flower pot you keep in your home. Every Friday, sprinkle the spot with a tea made from Spikenard Herb while repeating the name of your lover.

Puck, the Pet of the Day
Name: Puck
Age: Four and a half years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Black-headed Caique
Home: Ventura, California, USA
Here are some pictures of Puck. He is very expressive and an excellent communicator. He does talk a little human, but his main forms of communication are vocalizations, and body language. If he’s happy or excited, he lets you know. If he’s angry, he lets you know. If he’s sleepy, he makes his “bedtime noises.” If he’s feeling frisky, he also lets you know. There’s never a dull moment with this little guy!

His favorite pastimes include chewing on things he’s not supposed to, shredding tissues, hair styling, eating, staying up late, sleeping late, and snuggling. I have to be careful about leaving him unattended though. One time I left him alone for five seconds, and when I came back, two keys were missing from my keyboard, some stuff was knocked over, and he was in the process of climbing up my speaker cables like a little mountain climber. More recently, he destroyed my QWERTY keyboard on my phone; and even more recently, he decided that antique tables are just as fun to chip as wooden toys.

When I was shopping for a bird, I first met with another bird, who was totally sweet. Something just felt wrong though, so I didn’t take it. Next, I met Puck. He jumped into my arms and started making kissy sounds and wolf whistles. I took him home.

He keeps my on my toes, and brings me a lot of joy and companionship. Heloves meeting new people. He loves going everywhere with me, and everybody seems to love him. He also loves spending time outside. He has an outdoor cage to spend time in, and sometimes I let him play and climb around in edible plants. Lavender is one of his favorite bushes (he likes to chew up the flowers). He loves to go to parties and get attention from multiple people at once. On Thanksgiving, he had his own plate. On Halloween I rubbed raspberries on him to look like blood, and he went as a zombie. I even took him through a scary haunted house with me, which he seemed to enjoy. He’s tons of fun!

Deity of the Day for Jan. 30 – SHOU-XING

Deity of the Day

SHOU-XING

Also known as SHOU-HSING, SHOU-LAO, NAN-JI-XIAN-WENG

God of Longevity and Old Age, and the most venerable member of the SAN-XING happiness squad.

His name means ‘Star Of Long Life’. He is old and bald, and always carries a Golden Peach of Immortality from XI-WANGMU’s Holy Peach Garden. These are found only in Heaven and ripen once every three thousand years.

Ironically he didn’t actually get to eat one. His long life came about by quite different means. Once he was a young and sickly lad named Zhao-Yen, who was destined to die when he reached 19. Told by a fortune-teller to enter a certain field armed with a packed lunch, he found two men playing checkers.

Having been warned to keep his mouth shut, he silently offered them spring rolls and wine, which were gratefully accepted. So gratefully, in fact, that the men, revealing themselves to be the Gods of Birth and Death, offered him longevity.

First they took his allotted lifespan of 19 years and reversed it, giving 91 years. Then they munched another spring roll, had another sip of wine, and decided he deserved immortality. That must have been a very impressive packed lunch.

Haptic Sex Magick

Haptic is from the Greek world  haptesthai meaning “to touch.” If you are haptic, you are a person who is primarily kinesthetic or relies primarily on your sense of touch. The spell uses purely haptic clue to intensify your sexual and orgasmic energies for sex magick.

You will need a feather, a fresh thornless rose, two pieces of candy, satin or flannel sheets, a soft quilt, silky or velvety lingerie or pajamas, and two sleeping masks.

After dark, put the feather, rose, and candy in a small box or bag, and put the items next to your bed for easy access. Dress your bed in satin or soft flannel sheets, and dress yourself in silky or velvety lingerie or pajamas. Turn on romantic music in your bedroom. Take your lover into the room and ask him or her to lie on the bed. Go over to your mate, and give him or her a big French kiss upside down, so your bottom life meets your lover’s top lip and your top lip meets your lover’s bottom lip. (If you have never kissed your lover in this way, you are in for a most pleasant and sexy surprise.) After you kiss your lover, put the sleeping masks on, and turn out the lights. Begin by taking each other’s clothes off slowly and deliberately. Next, hold the feather in your hand and stroke your’s body with it. Tickle and tease with the feather. As you do, say:

Feel me, touch me, blessed be!

Now hold the rose in your hand, and put it up to your lover’s nose so he or she can smell it. Softly massage your lover’s back and chest with the rose petals. As you do, repeat:

Feel me, touch me, blessed be!

Then feed your love a piece of the candy and have your mate feed you the other piece of candy. As you feed your love the candy, say:

Kiss me sweetly, my love. Blessed be!

Now kiss your lover. Then, softly stroke your lover’s body in all the right places and have him on her return in kind. Keep the masks on while you make love. Direct your sexual energies towards a shared dream or magickal goal.
