UGH I Hate Being Sick

I went to our urgent care. After chest x-rays, covid test, and blood work it turns out I have pneumonia in both lungs. The x-rays show white in about half of each of them. I am now on an antibiotic and prednisone for 10 days. Along with using steaming water with eucalyptus in it to help open my air ways. If it was not for having allergy indeed asthma, fall allergy season where I live is bad because of all the crops being harvested and ragweed is everywhere, I would not use the prednisone. The doctor said because I have a low immune system the left over coughing and shortness of breathe after having covid in mid August with bad environmental allergies did not allow my lungs yo stay clear of bacteria and the financial stress and emotional stress of Sonny’s death combined to cause a perfect storm allowing bacteria into my lungs to become pneumonia.

Hopefully I will start feeling better tomorrow. Today is going to be spent relaxing and sleeping. I could use healing and positive thoughts from all of you please.

May you be blessed with good health and all positive things coming into your life.

Unsure if Posting Today

I woke up with 103⁰F temperature so I am not sure if I will be posting or not today. I am going back to bed after taking cold medicine and Tylenol. If I feel better when I wake up I will do today’s posts. Sorry I just do not understand why I am getting hit with a bad cold already this cold and flu season.

Scientists Studying Earth’s Trees Issue a Stark Warning to Humanity

From soaring coastal redwoods to dinosaur-era Wollemi pines and firs that make the perfect Christmas trees, even our most revered woody plants are in an awful lot of trouble.

But it turns out that losing some species won’t just endanger local forests; it will threaten entire ecosystems, says a new study.

Last year, a global assessment titled State of the World’s Trees found a shocking one-third of all tree species are currently teetering on the edge of existence.

This amounts to about 17,500 unique tree species that are endangered.

That’s more than double the number of all threatened tetrapods (mammals, birds, amphibians, and reptiles).

Some trees are so rare that only a single known individual remains, like the lonesome palm in Mauritius, Hyophorbe amaricaulis.

In a new paper, the same team of researchers behind the State of the World’s Trees reports issues a “warning to humanity” about the consequences of these losses, backed by 45 other scientists from 20 different countries.

Conservation biologist Malin Rivers from Botanic Gardens Conservation International and colleagues outline the many impacts these losses will have on our economies, livelihoods, and food.

Most of our fruit comes from trees, as do many nuts and medicines, with non-timber products amounting to about US$88 billion worth of trade.

In the developing world, 880 million people rely on firewood for fuel, and 1.6 billion people live within 5 kilometers (3 miles) of a forest, relying on them for food and income.

All up, trees contribute about US$1.3 trillion annually to the global economy, yet…

Equinox Sunrise Around the World

Collage Image Copyright: Luca Vanzella

Explanation: A planet-wide collaboration resulted in this remarkable array of sunrise photographs taken around the September 2022 equinox. The images were contributed by 24 photographers, one in each of 24 nautical time zones around the world. Unlike more complicated civil time zone boundaries, the 24 nautical time zones are simply 15 degree longitude bands corresponding to 1 hour steps that span the globe. Start at the upper right for the first to experience a sunrise in the nautical time zone corresponding to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) + 12 hours. In that time zone, the photographer was located in Christchurch, New Zealand. Travel to the west by looking down the column and then moving to the column toward the left for later sunrises as the time zone offset in hours from UTC decreases. Or, you can watch a video of September 2022 equinox sunrises around planet Earth.

Missing Birthday Horoscopes, Astronomy Picture of the Day and Emails

Well, I am finally back to posting. The regular posts for today will not be done because of catching up the birthday horoscopes and astronomy pictures. Sitting at my desk for 2 hours trying to get things done after not being at it for so long is making back start to hurt so I have to be more like the turtle than the hare with getting back into my routine of sitting at my desk for about 5 to 6 hours a day to bring you the things you enjoy reading. Tomorrow, I hope to be feeling up to posting for September 30th, October 1st. Which are the tomorrow posts for the Northern Hemisphere. Then Saturday I will be posting for October 2nd and 3rd which are the tomorrow posts for both hemispheres.

Thank you, Libra’s, for your patience in being able to read your birthday horoscopes. You can find your birthday horoscope by clicking on the date you want calendar on WOTC’s Homepage.

I am put up one post with the links to all the Astronomy Picture of the Day from September 13th to today instead of a post for each day.

I will be catching up on emails hopefully Saturday.

Thank you all for all the support, comments, and patience while I went through a heavy grieving period with major depression and anxiety problems. I will not say the depression and anxiety are back under my control, but I will say I am better than yesterday. But I know getting back into a regular routine is very important for my mental and emotional health so here I am. As you can tell I am coming ack kind of slowly.

Until we meet again dear sisters, brothers, and honored guests may your life be filled with all things positive!

I Am Doing Better

Yeah, my professional covid test came back negative. Boo-hiss, so I just have a lousy cold on top of bad allergies. I thank you all for your support, patience, and understanding while I have been depressed because of Sonny’s crossing the veil. I thank you also for you still following WOTC’s website even though I have not posted anything for a short while.

I am planning on catching up all the missed birthday posts on Thursday. Than on Friday do a full daily posting for all the regular posts for both hemispheres. Saturday I plan on getting back to do tomorrow posts for both hemispheres.

May you life be blessed with only positive things.

I Need to Start Making Lemonade

You know the old saying when life gives you lemons make lemon ade? Well I definitely have enough lemons right now to make big vats of it.

Someone came to Sonny’s wake with active covid. I, one of his stepdaughter, one of his daughters and her children plus an Aunt who’s in her 70s or 80s have all tested positive. Who knows how many more people will.

I’m hoping the person who brought it is only a carrier with no symptoms. If it was someone who knew they were positive and came anyway…no words to describe how I’m feeling about that person right now.

I Want to Hide From the World

Besides the fibromyalgia and arthritis I deal with clinical depression, anexity/panic disorder and PTSD from my dad’s death. I know some of you reading deal with the same or similar mental/emotional disorders so I decided to let you know and for me to know we do not have to go through problems physical, mental, and emotional alone.

There are times I need someone to talk to that is not blood family or my psychologist. As I think some of you may feel the same way. I want you to know I am here to listen either through an email, sent to ladybeltane@aol.com Subect – please listen, or through a call via Skype (it can be just a voice call or if you prefer a video call). As an ordained minister I am bond by ethics and my own morality to keep everything between just the person I’m talking to and myself.

Today my anexity is really bad not only because of Sonny’s crossing but also my dad’s in 1970 and my mom’s in 2015. I have endless loops going through my mind of how my dad and died plus their and Sonny’s funerals. I am going to be drinking a lot of valerian/ peppermint tea today to help me get out of my funk.

Why am I posting about mental and emotional health today? Why am I disclosing my disorders? I hope by doing so that I reach at least one person to know they are not alone with their disorders. I feel by my sharing what I am going through daily when I just cannot bring myself to get going to get on the computer and work because I just do not have the energy it takes to do them. I am going to take off from doing regular posts to do some very much needed self-care and mental flossing. I will let you all know how I am feeling each day. When I am ready to do posts knowing they do not have my negative energy in them I will be back.

Thank you for your understanding and support while I am going through this difficult time in my life.

Until we meet again my allergies positive things come into your life..

No Posts Today

I am very sorry. I know I said I would be back with all the regular daily posts today but I do not have the energy or mental capacity to do them. I only got three hours of sleep as my mind was full of thoughts about Sonny, all our children, my four and his eight besides our son, our grandchild and other descendants. When I got woken up this morning by mine and Lord Beltane’s fur daughter Dreamer my pillow was wet from tears shed while I was dreaming. I know dear Sisters, brothers, and honored guests that you understand that grieving is a personal thing and everyone handles it different and through a different time span. I will be back to regular posts I hope tomorrow until than may each of you have positive blessings through out your day.

Thank You for Your Loving Support

Thank you all for your loving and continuous support. All the physical things are done and Sonny’s body has been laid to rest. Over time the emotional part will heal.

I hope to get back to regular posting and answering emails on Friday. I need to get my mind back from the dead to the living but more just have some quite time with Lord Beltane and our fur kids. I am a wreck and totally exhausted from the roller-coaster my emotions have been on this past 8 days.

Until wee meet again blessed be Sisters, Brothers, and Honored Guests.

Lady Beltane Unavailable Until Thursday, September 22

I am taking the next 3 days to celebrate and mourn the life and death of my former partner. I will not be reading and answering emails or doing any posting. The birthday horoscope and current Moon phase will be posted.

I am sorry but the Mabon/Imbolc issue of Life in The Craft is not ready to be published. The Samhain/Beltane issue will also have articles covering the previous 2 Northern and Southern Hemispheres Sabbats.

A Death in Lady Beltane’s Family

My middle son’s father crossed the veil Tuesday night. Although it was expected it still saddens me deeply. I am not in a frame of mind to do posts this morning. I will try to get both hemispheres today and tomorrow posts done later today but this new development in my life has caused a very bad fibromyalgia flare so I am limited on how long I can type.

Sonny was a man whose later years revolved around his 9 children and all his descendants. He proudly served in the U. S. Army and belonged to the V. F. W. and served as a Commander for his post. He was also a member of the American Legion and Elks clubs.

I remember him most for the close friendship and love we shared for over 40 years. He is my only ex I talked to regularly. We might not have been a couple for many years but our shared love of our son always kept us close. I got to spend time with him at the end of July when we celebrated our or at least my youngest grandson’s 3rd birthday.

I send him off with love and the wings of an eagle to the Summerlands.

A Thought for Today

Until we meet again dear sisters, brothers, and honored guests may your life be filled with all things positive!
