Wolf Moon Ritual Oil

Wolf Moon Ritual Oil

Use this oil to induce insightful and blessed dreams.

To make this ritual oil you will need a small cup, two teaspoons of olive oil, lavender oil, clary  sage oil, and vanilla oil.

Make this mixture just before you go to sleep. Begin by putting two teaspoons of olive oil in a  small cup. As you add four drops of lavender oil, say:

Wolf Moon oil bless me with power and insight.

Next, add two drops of clary sage oil while saying:

Divine dream oil empower me with blessed dreams.

Now, add two drops of vanilla oil, and say:

Divine dream oil empower me with sweet dreams.

Conclude by mixing the oil with the fingers of your power hand (right hand if you are right-handed)  and chant several times:

Divine dream oil empower me with blessed dreams.

Rub the oil into the front and back of your neck, and into your wrists and ankles. As you rub the  oil into your skin, chant:

Divine dream oil empower me with blessed dreams.

While drifting to sleep, repeat to yourself:

Sweet dreams, blessed be!

When you awaken, write down everything you recall from your dreams in your  journal.

How to use the oils

How to use the oils

Think of the Whole Person

MASSAGE

This is the most effective method of using the oils, combining their properties
with the therapeutic power of touch. The skin absorbs the oil over a large
surface area and because there are many small blood vessels, (capillaries),
close to the surface of the skin, the oils, diluted to 5% in a carrier oil, are
carried into the blood stream and then to the relevant parts of the body quickly and effectively.

The oils should not be used undiluted, but should be diluted with an odorless
carrier oil, (see section on carrier/base oils), such as grapeseed, sweet almond
or peach kernel. A dilution of 3% essential oil to carrier oil is a recommended
starting point. (Less if using on sensitive skin such as babies). This is
approximately one drop essential oil to two milliliters of carrier oil. (6 drops
in two teaspoonfuls). But in all cases less can be definitely more!

BATHS

Using oils in baths is a simple, effective and pleasant way to relax and receive
the therapeutic effects. – Water itself has therapeutic value which enhances the powers of the oils. To use, add 6 to 10 drops of essential oil, (or a blend), to the surface of the water which has already been run, add no other substances, e.g. foam or bath oil, then immerse yourself for about 20 minutes. The heat of the water aids absorption through the skin, whilst you inhale the vapor. (Again reduce the amount of oils used in baths for babies).

Take care with plastic baths as some oils may cause staining.

COMPRESSES

Add 5 to 10 drops of essential oil to 100ml of warm water then soak a piece of
clean cotton in the water, wring out the excess and place the cloth on the
affected part.

INHALATIONS

Add 5 to 10 drops of essential oil into a bowl of steaming water, then place a
towel over your head and the bowl and inhale the vapor for a few minutes.

VAPORIZATION

All essential oils are antiseptic and evaporate easily, so they make very good
air-fresheners. Different oils create different atmospheres, so experiment! For example, relaxing Sandalwood or Clary Sage are good for parties; or Peppermint clears your mind when you need to work. There are many vaporizers on the market, from the simple bowl of water on the radiator with a few drops of oil on the surface, to vaporizer light bulb rings and specially made vaporizer bowls which sit above candle holders. There is even the “Aromastone”TM which is an effective electric vaporizer dispensing fragrance from a low heat source, thereby making the water and the oils last longer than usual.

The best way of dispersing essential oils is to use a diffuser or the
Aromastream TM, as most other forms of vaporizer drive off the most volatile
“high notes” first, leaving the slowly evaporating “base notes” to linger.

I personally believe that vaporizing rings on light bulbs should be used
cautiously, though I have not heard off anyone having a fire through using one.

PERFUMES

Make your own distinctive “Natural” perfume by blending different oils. (Many commercial perfumes use synthetic concoctions for their scent.) Try
experimenting with different combinations, which can be mixed with a carrier oil or non-fragrant alcohol.

Herb of the Day for August 6 – White Sage

White Sage

Salvia apiana (White sage, bee sage, or sacred sage) is an evergreen perennial shrub that is native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, found mainly in the coastal sage scrub habitat of Southern California and Baja California, on the western edges of the Mojave and Sonoran deserts.

Description

S. apiana is a shrub that reaches 1.3 to 1.5 metres (4.3 to 4.9 ft) tall and 1.3 metres (4.3 ft) wide. The whitish evergreen leaves have oils and resins that release a strong aroma when rubbed. The flowers are very attractive to bees, which is described by the specific epithet, apiana. Several 1 to 1.3 metres (3.3 to 4.3 ft) flower stalks, sometimes pinkish colored, grow above the foliage in the spring. Flowers are white to pale lavender.

Distribution and habitat

White sage is a common plant that requires well-drained dry soil, full sun, and little water. The plant occurs on dry slopes in coastal sage scrub, chaparral, and yellow-pine forests of Southern California to Baja California at less than 1,500 metres (4,900 ft) elevation.

Uses

S. apiana is widely used by Native American groups on the Pacific coast of the United States. The seed was a main ingredient of pinole, a staple food. The Cahuilla harvested large quantities of the seed that was mixed with wheat flour and sugar for gruel or biscuits. The leaves and stems were eaten by the Chumash and other tribes. Several tribes used the seed for removing foreign objects from the eye, similar to the way that Clary sage seeds were used in Europe. A tea from the roots was used by the Cahuilla women for healing and strength after childbirth. The leaves are also burnt by many native American tribes, with the smoke used in different purification rituals.

Wishing You A Wild and Wacky Wednesday, my friends!

Days Of The Week Comments Good afternoon, my luvs! The graphic expresses exactly what I have seen for two days. I hope the sun is shining, it is warm and a beautiful day, wherever you are. We are having a very unusual Winter. It has been in the 60’s and raining for 2 days now. After I sit and watch it rain, I sort of get wild and wacky, thus the greeting above. I guess I get ants in my pants. I have to do something whether it is right or wrong, lol! I have already planned on cooking supper which is on the wacky side of me. I hate to cook. I can cook now. Everyone tells me I am a gourmet chef. I just cook like my mother did and she was a country cook. It wasn’t unusual for daddy to go out and shoot a squirrel. He would bring it home. Momma would skin it and cut it up. Then she would cook squirrel and gravy or just simply fry it. I know some of you just curled up your nose, squirrel? It is good. It actually tastes like chicken. I know everything odd taste like chicken, squid, octopus, rattlesnake, etc. But I am not planning anything like that for supper. We are going to have some ribs. Oh, I miss ribs in the Winter. But I have been baking them and they are delicious. After that I am sure I will find something else to get into.

But enough with my menu and my wild and wackiness on rainy days. Let’s get on with what’s important.

 Have a fantastic day!

 Be Your Own Best Friend

We often judge ourselves much more harshly than we judge our friends. Yet when we are loving toward ourselves, we flower into the essentially compassion beings that we really are. Close your eyes and imagine that you are our own est friend – a warm, caring person who sees you and thinks of you in a loving a supportive way. Acknowledge your good qualities to yourself and raise your recent successes, no matter how small. To finish, give yourself a hug. Enjoy th feeling of being truly loved for who you are.

Spellcrafting for Wednesday, Jan. 25th

RELAXATION RITUAL

Lay or sit in a place where you will not be disturbed for at least five minutes.
Get comfortable. If you are sitting, your back should be straight.
Sitting or lying down, your legs should be crossed.
If sitting, rest your hands, palms down, in your lap. Close your eyes.
Visualize a golden ball of beautiful, warm light surrounding your feet.
If you cannot “see” the golden ball when you visualize it, its okay, just know it is there. The ball of golden warm light always brings peace and total relaxation. Wherever the ball goes tension departs.
Now allow this ball of light to rise up your legs and up your torso.
Then allow it to go down your arms to your fingers, and finally up your neck and into your head until covered with total peace and relaxation and all tension is gone. If you feel tension anywhere, send the ball there and the tension will vanish. Stay in this state for a few moments. If you are having trouble sleeping, try this.

Be at one with yourself. When you are ready to come out of this state of deep relaxation, take three deep breaths and feel fresh life and energy coming out of your body with each breath.
