 SPELL TO HEAL

You need: A yellow candle, Herbs of marigold/Calendula, lavender and rosemary, clear quartz gemstone, Photo/person’s part etc.
Perform on a Sunday.

Stuff the doll with the herbs and add the gem about where the
heart would be in the doll. Sew up the doll and do a naming ritual.
Light the candle, and see the person healthy and happy in your mind. Say six times:
Lavender, marigold and rosemary
The body, soul and mind are free
Stone of quartz, take the pain away
Whole and healed and free today
With harm to none My will is done.
Bury the doll in the ground before sunset the same day.

AMETHYST HEALING OIL SPELL

The following ingredients are needed
You will need one-quarter ounce of almond oil, twenty-five drops of lavender essential oil, five drops of lilac scented oil, four drops of carnation essential oil, one drop of jasmine-scented oil, one drop of rosemary essential oil, five coriander seeds, a bottle with a top large enough to fit all of the ingredients, and an amethyst crystal.

This healing oil can be used for both aromatherapy and message.

Mix all of the oils plus the coriander seeds together in the bottle. Put the cap on the bottle, and shake vigorously while chanting.

Grace this oil with your divine power.

Using your breath, clear the amethyst crystal by imagining a clear mountain stream. Next, send the image into the crystal by pulsing the breath out of your nose at the same time you send the image into the crystal. Repeat this process three times for the best results. Now, imagine a magnificent healing flower opening up in your mindÂ’s eye. At the memonet the flower fully opens, use your breath to pulse the image into the amethyst. Repeat this process three times.

Place the amethyst crystal into the bottle of oil and leave it there. Anoint yourself with the oil after dark whenever you like. Anytime you gat a chance, place the bottle of oil in a place where it can absorb moonlight. This will strengthen the healing effects of the oil. When you do this, ask for the help of a moon goddess. Use the oil within a couple of weeks for best results.

Methods of Cleansing

As with any method of cleansing, intention is the key–before you begin, you need to be focused on the process of cleansing. So as you cleanse your crystal, think about what you are doing and how this action is releasing unwanted energies.

BRUSHING:  A soft brush such as a makeup brush or a paint brush is good for removing dust that can build up on surface and delicate crevices of the stone.

PHYSICAL CLEANSING:  A little mild detergent mixed with water in a bowl, followed by a thorough rinse in clear water, will make crystals sparkle. (Don’t use water if they are water-soluble crystals!)

RUNNING WATER:  Hold your crystal under running water for a few minutes. It may need longer if it’s been working hard or hasn’t been cleansed for a long time. If you feel that it needs a lot of time, place the crystal in a bowl of water in your sink and let the water run into the bowl for as long as necessary.

MOONLIGHT:  Leave the crystal in moonlight, especially in a full moon, or leave it out during a new moon.

BURNING INCENSE OR SMUDGE STICK:  The smoke from frankincense, sandalwood, and sage is cleansing. You can burn either incense or a smudge stick (A small bunch of dried herbs burned during Native American cleansing rituals.

EARTH:  Bury the crystal in the earth–when you unearth it a week or more later, it will be born anew. Different traditions round the world apply this technique in varying ways. One method is to bury it during a Full Moon and unearth it on a New Moon.

CRYSTALLINE ENERGIES:  Place the crystal on an amethyst bed, on a quartz cluster, or inside a geode and allow the crystalline energies to cleanse and clear it. A large amethyst bed can be like a vacation for your crystals.

The question of how long you should leave them is a little open-ended. Crystals are like people–how long do you usually need to refresh and revitalize yourself? To know when a crystal is ready to work again, use your intuition–also, look for brightness and color returning to the crystal, which should no longer feel “clammy.” Once you are used to working with crystals, you will find it easy to know when they are ready to go back to work.

SOUNDS:  Chanting, drumming, or playing Tibetan bells or cymbals can clear unhelpful vibrations.

SUNLIGHT:  You can cleanse your crystal by leaving it in sunlight and also dry your crystals in the sun after washing them (Caution: Quartz crystals, especially crystal balls, will focus the sun’s rays and so can be a fire risk take appropriate precautions.)

BREATH, LIGHT OR REIKI:  Breathing over your crystal helps to cleanse it –focus your mind, heart, and being through your breath, connecting your inner being to the outside. Reiki an also be practiced on crystals, and a meditation technique involving a visualization of light can be used, too. Still your mind and picture a bright light flowing from your brow chakra to the crystal in your hand, washing over it then filling the crystal. When it completely glows with light, slowly bring your focus away from the crystal and back to our surroundings.

Cleansing Crystals

You can see when a crystal needs cleansing–it loses its sparkle, brightness and even color, and may feel sticky in your hand. Dust is drawn to crystals because of their electric properties, adhering to them through an electrostatic charge. This alters their natural healing abilities, reducing the number of photons of light reaching the crystal. Regular cleansing prevents a buildup of dust.

The other reason crystals have to be cleansed is that they pick up energy when we are working with them, either from ourselves or from others. They will even pick up energy from people in a shop and, in fact, may have been handled by any customers before you. There is nothing wrong with these energies–they’re not “good” or “bad”–it’s just that they’re not yours, and it’s your energy the crystal will be working on or with to achieve its healing effects.

Choosing and Working with a Pendulum

A pendulum gives you a physical representation of your natural inner knowing. It consists of a piece of metal, wood, or crystal hanging on a chain or string. A crystal pendulum requires less effort to work with when you start, as crystals magnify energy, which makes tuning into them simpler and their answers more obvious. When you choose your pendulum, don’t think about it too much–simply stand in front of a selection and pick the first one you notice. As with choosing crystals, you need to trust your instincts.

Pendulum Dowsing

Dowsing is a natural and ancient human ability, possibly the oldest form of divination. We know that people have been dowsing since before recorded time, as the earliest writings talk of dosing in a matter-of-fact way. Today dowsing is used by therapists in many fields, as well as by water and oil companies throughout the world It can be done with a pendulum, rod, r forked twig, but a pendulum is the most portable and straightforward to work with when dowsing over a person.

Recipe for Making a Gem Essence/Elixir

Also know as gem elixirs, essences are the vibration of the crystal reserved in water and brandy. For our purposes, using a gemstone essence involves placing a few drops in a household cleanser or room spray in order to diffuse the vibration of the crystal throughout the room. You can purchase gemstone essences/elixirs already made or make your own. The gemstone essences that can be purchase can also be taken internally, but if you make your own for use in your magickal housekeeping practice. It is not recommended that you take them internally unless you are an expert, or at least until you’ve done some more thorough research of gem essence/elixir preparation.

How to Create a Gem Essence/Elixir

Items You Will Need:

  • A cleansed crystal (you choose the type according to your needs)
  • Pure water
  • A very clean, clear wine las
  • Brandy
  • A small bottle with a dropper

On a sunny day, when the moon is between New and Full, place the crystal in the glass. Pour the water over the crystal to fill the glass. Place the glass in bright sunlight for at least three hours, making sure that no shade hits it During this time, set the empty dropper bottle next to the glass to purify it with the light of the Sun. After the water and bottle have bathed in the sun for the allotted time, place your hands over the water and visualize very bright, sparkly light filing it. Say a quick prayer, like:

“Great Spirit, please infuse this water with vibrations

of healing and love. Please fully activate the

positive energy of this crystal, and fill the water

with it so that the water is powerful medicine and

a helpful ally to me in my magickal workings.”

Then fill the dropper bottle with half brandy, half water from the wineglass, using the dropper to transfer the water into the bottle. This will preserve the vibration of the crystal in the water.

Once you’ve made the essence, you can put four drops in a room spray or cleaning solution to diffuse the vibrations throughout the room. You can also put a few drops on your wrists, rubbing them together to internalize the magick and for personal healing.

Clarity Floor Wash

Use this for cleansing vibrations and clearing the mind.

Items you will need:

  • A bucket or similar container
  • White vinegar
  • Clary sage essential oil
  • Hornbeam essence
  • A fluorite crystal
  • A mop
  • A mister (if you have carpet)

Cleanse the crystal by running cold water over it for at least thirty seconds or immersing it in dry salt for at least ten minutes. Fill the bucket with water and add 1/4 cup white vinegar, 9 drops Clary sage oil, 4 drops hornbeam essence, and the cleansed crystal. Stir. Close your eyes and powerfully visualize the liquid completely immersed in very bright white light. If you have carpets, put some of the mixture in the mister. Mop all the hard floors, as well as the front porch and/or doorstep, if possible. Finish by misting the carpets lightly and, if you weren’t able to mop, mist the front porch/doorstep as well.

Explanation: What is that on the horizon? No, it’s not an alien starship battling distant Earthlings, but rather a sun pillar. When driving across Ontario, Canada in early June, the photographer was surprised to encounter such an “eerie and beautiful” vista, and immediately took pictures. When the atmosphere is cold, ice sometimes forms flat six-sided crystals as it falls from high-level clouds. Air resistance then causes these crystals to lie nearly flat much of the time as they flutter to the ground. If viewed toward a rising or setting Sun, these flat crystals will reflect sunlight and create an unusual column of light — a sun pillar as seen above. Such columns of light are not uncommon to see, and a retrospective of past APODs that have featured picturesque sun pillars can be found here.

And you are going what the heck does she want? Nothing! I just want to thank you for having patience with me while I redo the blog. I am not finished yet but I must get back to the work that brings you here each day. I will take break at night and work on it some. I can give you an idea of what to expect though. The new blog will still have the same look. I looked and looked for a new huge pic for the top and couldn’t find a thing I liked. Unfortunately, I am a perfectionist. Right now I am not happy with the way the info section looks on the front. But it will have to do till I get through with the dailys. Ok, for the new layout, there are going to be two columns down the side, with a wide section in the middle. One section is going to contain a whole lot of new stuff. There is going to be “The Goddess/God of the Month, Herb of the Month, Crystal of the Month & Saint of the Month.” Each will have a pic and info to go with it. Also I searched till four o’clock this morning and I finally found a moonphase for us. Right now it is sitting down at the bottom of the regular items already on here. But I think it is going to be exciting and it is something I have wanted to do for a while. And more than likely we will be having Goddesses, Herbs, Crystals and the such for just a half a month and then I will change them. I don’t want you to get bored. Well got to run and get busy. Before a visit to the hospital for an operation, make yourself a healing
package. Gather together a peridot or green crystal, a small vial of geranium
scented body oil and a small makeup mirror. Wrap everything in tissue and put it all into a pretty gift box. Write these words on a blue piece of paper:

“Here within this magick box
I’ll find enchanted fare –
a crystal to shine and light my day,
a secret oil to smooth my cares
and a looking glass in which I’ll see
my loved ones smiling there.”

This can also be made up for a friend.

Causes the wearer to be more flexible, more understanding and more objective in purpose and reason. Calming. Each person has a different response to this stone. Daily Crystal of the Day for Aug. 19th – Carnelian

Carnelian

SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION: Carnelian is the clear red to brownish red member
of the Chalcedony family. It is a microcrystalline variety of Quartz (Silicone
Dioxide) and may contain small amounts of iron oxides. The hardness is 7, and
the streak is white.

ENVIRONMENT: Chalcedony is formed in several environments, generally near
the surface of the earth where temperatures and pressures are relatively low. It
commonly forms in the zone of alteration of lode and massive hydrothermal
replacement deposits and as bodies of chert in chemical sedimentary rocks.

OCCURENCE: Fine carnelian comes from India and South America.

GEMSTONE INFORMATION: Carnelian is used as an alternate birthstone for the
month of May. It is normally cut into cabochons, engraved, or made into seal
stones or rounded, polished, and pierced for necklaces and other items of
jewelry.

NAME: The name means “flesh-colored”, from [caro], meaning “genitive” and
[carnis], meaning “flesh”.

LEGEND and LORE: Carnelian has long been associated with courage and
cleansing of the blood. It was believed that the stone would improve one’s
outlook, making the individual cheerful and expelling fears.

MAGICAL PROPERTIES: Katrina Raphaell says that Carnelian can be used to
“see into the past”. The “Crystal Oracle” says that Carnelian refers to the
Self, and Current Conditions. It is a grounding stone, and associated with the
Earth.  As such, it is considered practical, sensible and balanced. Cunningham
associates the stone with the element of Fire. He suggests it as a talisman
against Telepathic invasion.

HEALING: It is recommended for infertility or impotency. In addition it is used
for purification of the blood. It has also been suggested that this stone will
stop nosebleeding.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: I call this the “sexy” stone…since I believe it
stimulates sexual appetites. I use it in the lower Chakras for infertility and
impotency for men(I use Coral as the feminine counterpart.)
I always get a good chuckle when I notice a man wearing a LARGE Cornelian
belt buckle. In addition, I would use this stone for relief of pain from
arthritis in men.

A popular crystal for its beautiful deep blue colour; this stone has a startling blue edge, which is the key to its healing powers. Azurite forms when copper ores oxidize. It is associated with the green mineral malachite, with which it shares a similar chemical structure. In the Middle Ages, powdered azurite was used as a blue pigment in paints and dyes. As it absorbed atmospheric moisture, it used to oxidize to malachite, which explains why the sky is green in some early Renaissance paintings. The two minerals can be found in a form called azurite-malachite, which is excellent for “clearing out” deep-rooted emotions. The finest large azurite crystals come from Namibia.

Identification and care

  • Small crystals appear a powdery blue and are often small, round nodules.

  • Large crystals are often very dark and shiny, with an electric-blue edge.

  • Crystals are soft, so need careful handling.

Selecting Crystals

There are three simple ways to select the crystals you need, whether for yourself or for others.

  • Look them up in a book. Decide why you need a crystal and search for the appropriate ones to help the condition or symptoms.

  • Follow your intuition. Feeling drawn in any way to a crystal suggests that you need it. It will stand out from the crowd, possibly sparkle and shine, and virtually shout at you, wave, jump up and down, or leap off the shelf. Of course, it may just be interesting or look pretty. However you are drawn to them, theses crystals will help you, sometimes in unexpected or amazing ways. If you are selecting crystals for  other people, perhaps as a gift, then keep that person in your mind when choosing. Sometimes it’s helpful to look at a photo of the person, have a personal object that belongs to them, or even just write their name on a piece of paper.

  • Employ a pendulum and dowse for the crystals you need.

If you are selecting crystals intuitively or with a pendulum you can always look up their healing properties in a book. Conversely if you have chosen crystals from a book, you  can decide how best to apply them with the aid of a pendulum. The most important thing when choosing a crystal is to trust yourself.

It has recently been discussed whether animals have chakras. Yes, everything from ants upward on the evolutionary scale has seven chakras.
