Elder’s Meditation of the Day – September 9

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – September 9

“…[W]isdom comes only when you stop looking for it and start truly living the life the Creator intended for you.”

–Lelia Fisher, HOH

There are many things that block us from wisdom such as selfishness, secrets, hate, anger, jealousy and judgments. Another thing that can block us from wisdom is trying too hard or wishing something would happen. Wishing implies doubt and trying implies control. We need to let go of these things. We need to abandon ourselves to the Creator. As soon as we surrender everything, the wisdom starts to flow. The Elders know how to help us with this. Just ask them.

My Great Spirit, today I surrender my life and my will to Your care.

Today’s Meditation for Sept. 6th – Water Meditation

Water Meditation

Author: Mike at MoonWhisper

(Gaze into a bowl of water, or immerse yourself in a bath, a pool, or a pond)

Gaze into the Water.
Look through the water, not to the bottom, but into the element itself.
Feel its cool refreshing flow around you.
Let it soak in to your body, mingling with the Water that is already there.
Take a deep breath, and plunge your soul in to the water.
Let the surface close above you, so that you are completely engulfed in pure liquid blue.
Feel the gentle healing eddies swirl around and through you, easing the tension in your mind and body and spirit.
Feel the currents pulling you back and forth, like the pulse of the planet, rocking you gently to and fro.
Continue to breathe in this bliss as your pain and stress are dissolved and washed away from you.
Feel the cleansing of your entire being.
Now catch a current that flows by you, swirl in to it and become the Water, coursing out to join the ocean of the universe.
Join with other flowing souls, until you are all a rushing river, racing towards the sea.
Leap over rocks and sand, splashing and eroding and playing in fluid joy.
Dive off the edge of time, cascading down into the infinite ocean of cosmic life.
Feel the ebb and surge of creation as your waves crash and spray and foam

Now wash back up in to your body.
Soak in through your skin, all the way in to your soul.
Feel the purity and refreshment like a cool drink on a hot day.
Saturate your self with the healing essence of Water.
Feel it coursing through your body, from your feet, up your legs, into your chest and your arms, and up in to your head.
Open your eyes, and feel the healing calm still running throughout your body

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – September 2

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – September 2

“I remember Dawson (No Horse) said, ‘Once you say your prayers, don’t worry about them. If you worry about them, they’ll just fade away.'”

–Chuck Ross, LAKOTA

Today I need to remember You are everywhere. I need to remember how much You love me. I need to know, Grandfathers, that You are always listening. Today I need to know how much You care. Today I will remember the advice of the Elders. “Say your prayers and then don’t worry – know that the Great One has heard you.” It’s so much easier to do this, Grandfather, when I feel connected to You.

My Creator, allow me this day to feel your presence. Let me walk the path of life today and talk to You many times. Give me faith, my Grandfather.

Lady A’s Spell of the Day for 8/30:Crystal Healing Spell ~Simple

Crystal Healing Spell ~Simple

You Will Need:

  • 3 candles- 2 light blue & 1 white
  • Allspice & Rosemary (equal parts each) or a Healing type incense
  • photo or paper with name of recipient
  • a small quartz crystal

The Spell:

Place the candles on your altar or workspace in a semi-circle with the white candle between the two blue ones. Place your incense burner above the white candle. Place the person’s name in the centre of the layout, with the quartz crystal on top.

Light the incense then the candles. Centre yourself and inhale the incense as you think of all ill health dispelling from the person and instead being replaced by healing energy, much as the air is filled with the smoke of the incense.

Gather your healing energy and when you feel ready, release the energy, directing it through the crystal and to the recipient who’s name or photo is beneath it.

Give the recipient the crystal to carry as a charm for continued good health.

ANTI-LOVE SPELL

ANTI-LOVE

The following ingredients are needed
to cast ANTI-LOVE:

1 Black Couple Candle or 1 Black Figural Break-Up (Divorce) Candle
1 bottle Crossing Oil
1 packet Crossing Sachet Powder
1 packet Crossing Incense Powders
1 packet Hotfoot Powder
1 packet Goofer Dust
1 Bottle containing
9 Pins, 9 Needles, 9 Nails, black dog hair, black cat hair
1 packet Devil’s Shoe Strings Curio
1 packet Devil Pod Curio
1 packet Hyssop Herb
2 White Offertory Candles

Preparation: This spell is presented in several degrees of severity, allowing you to choose just how much trouble you want to make. In addition to the items here, you will need something personal from both parties, such as their hair, footprint-dirt, menstrual blood, semen, photos, business card, or the like. The more intimate the better. In addition, you should symbolically write their full names on two pieces of paper 9 times. Use black ink for the one you want to have get away and red ink for the one you want to stay near you. Use black ink for both, if you want both to get away. Whatever item you use, those things, plus the name-papers, will be referred to as “the couple’s personal items.” Work during the waning of the moon).

Doing the Job: Make the Crossing Incense Powders into cones (use a twist of paper, pack the incense in with your finger, and turn it out of the cone). On the Black Couple Candle carve the couple’s full names with the words BREAK UP between their names. Dress the candle with Crossing Oil and sprinkle it with Crossing Powder. For each of the next seven days burn a portion of the incense and one section of the candle. Pinch the candle out between times, never blow it out. During these 7 days, you will work the spell itself.

The bottle contains 9 Pins, 9 Needles, 9 Rusty Nails, the Hair of a Black Dog, and the Hair of a Black Cat. These are to cause pain, anger, emotional incompatibility, distance, and quarelling between the couple so that they will “fight like cats and dogs” and seek to part from each other. You have 3 types of powders. Each is alleged to produce a certain result. The more you use, the more mischief is believed to result. Hotfoot Powder is to drive someone away. Crossing Powder is to bring about bad luck, trouble, and illness. Goofer Dust is to mess people up seriously, even unto death. Choose 1, 2, or all 3 powders; blend them together if you want.

Mix the couple’s personal items with the powder(s) you have chosen, then put the mix in the bottle with the pins, needles, nails, dog hair, and cat hair; stop up the bottle and bury it under their doorstep. As you do this, pray aloud for their intranquility and break-up in your own words; ask in the name of your God or Saint. If you can’t put it under their doorstep, hide it in a hollow tree where they can’t find it, or carry it to the nearest graveyard and bury it (praying for the death of their relationship), or carry it to a crossroads and throw it into center of the road (praying for them to travel apart from each other), or throw it into running water (praying to have them both carried out of your life).

CLEANING UP: Wrap up any left-over candle wax, incense ashes, and unused materials in a piece of black cloth. Secure it with black thread and tie it. Throw it out at a crossroads or bury it in a graveyard.

PURIFICATION AND PROTECTION: Because breaking folks up is an Enemy Trick, you must cleanse yourself and protect from retribution. To take off your sin, prepare a bath by steeping the Hyssop Herb in a pot of boiling rain water or spring water. Light the two white candles, stand between them, and pour the Hyssop bath over your head while reciting the 51st Psalm (“Cleanse me with Hyssop; wash me and I shall be whiter than snow”). For protection, drive the 9 Devil’s Shoe Strings into the dirt across the path to your door-step to tangle up anyone who may try to retaliate and cross you. Put the Devil Pods outside or behind your front and back doors to repel any evil work that may be directed toward you.

“THINK on THESE THINGS”

“THINK on THESE THINGS”
By Joyce Sequichie Hifler

Whenever we stop to consider where we are on the road of life, we might also think about why we are there. Whether it is success or failure, or wavering in the middle of the road, we are where we are because of someone or something.

Nearly every person can pinpoint the time in their life when there was a turning point, a change for worse or for the better. And usually there is someone to whom they give the credit for such a change.

Throughout our lives we contact many people, and they each leave an impression. As living continues the combination of all those thoughts and feelings and actions forms our opinions, our likes and dislikes, our fears and our loves. But there is one basic factor in all of this that turns us one way or other – the individual, the personal self. It is how we take life, what we expect, how we do our daily tasks, where we place our values that makes the difference.

We are born with the right to choose – and whatever we choose there will always be someone there to help us be good or bad. But first, we must give credit where credit is due.

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – August 24

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – August 24

“The mind’s eye changes the way we judge things.”

–Fools Crow, LAKOTA

“What you see is what you get.” Our head has inside it a movie projector that projects out from our foreheads and shines on a screen a picture of our true thoughts. This is our reality. We can only see what we project (our beliefs). If we believe someone is a jerk, every time we see them we reflect our beliefs about what we think about that person and that is all we can see. Even if someone tells us this person is a kind, loving, caring, intelligent individual, we wouldn’t be able to see it. If we change our belief about them, that person will change and so will our judgment about that person.

My Creator, let me realize the power of choice. Let me see the advantages of changing my beliefs. Today, if I am judging my brother, let me change my beliefs to acceptance. If my thoughts are of anger, let me change them to love. Let my eyes only see you in everything and every person.

Elder’s Meditation of the Day August 20

Elder’s Meditation of the Day August 20

“…remember and think about the closeness of Wanka-Tanka. If they live in this wisdom, it will give them endless strength and hope.”

–Fools Crow, LAKOTA

The value of staying close to the Creator is the immediate help we have available to us whenever we need it. I can listen to the whisper of my heart for this is the place He communicates with me. Staying close helps me remember that we are here to serve Him and to help other people. The Grandfathers are my direct access to wisdom. He who has wisdom has everything. If we have wisdom, then we will see our lives become more effective in the areas of jobs, relationships, family, friends and finances.

My Creator, today grant me the wisdom to seek Your wisdom. Help me to Walk of the Red Road.

Daily Devotions

Daily Devotions
The most common times to perform sacred devotions are:

Upon rising
Noon
Sunset
Before sleep
Before meals
Before a magickal working
Before a ritual
OR simply, when you feel the time is right

Although for many people it is not possible to spend hours a day on daily devotions, on the other hand they are not a quick kneel, blab a quick verse and then race off. Brief they may be but must include enough time for you to ground, centre, perform the devotion, ground and centre again.

These are some suggestions for grounding yourself:

A. Place palms of hands flat down on the floor or ground and visualize the energy flowing into the earth.
B. Imagine the energy draining from your body, through your feet and into the earth.
C. Send the excess energy into the Universe for peace, or healing, or to form a reservoir of positive energy for the Good of All.
D. Send the excess energy into your tools or into your altar.
E. Hold a piece of hematite in your hand.
F. Run cold water over your hands.
G. Eat or drink something.

Remember, a devotion should always raise your energy level and leave you feeling refreshed.

“Think on These Things”

‘THINK on THESE THINGS’
By Joyce Sequichie Hifler

A graphologist is a handwriting analysis expert who can take apart the loops and dashes of our penmanship and tell us about our nature. We have a natural curiosity about ourselves. We want to know whether our self-image is the true one. We often think we are capable of seeing another’s true nature, but we seem to lack the ability to really know ourselves. In fact, so much about us reveals our disposition and temperament that it can be distressing.

Our handwriting may tell us about our emotional nature, and we may learn that we are introverts by the slant of our letters, but much of our disposition can be self-analyzed by the way other people respond to us.

It doesn’t take a graphologist to tell us that if we are inconsistent in our friendliness, if the tongue alternates acid and honey, if we continually complain, continually gossip, criticize and pout, we are revealing a nature we too often think is hidden.

Lady A’s Spell of the Day for 8/15: A Healing Poppet Spell

A Healing Poppet Spell

this suppose to make the person which is having trouble with his or her health feel better warning: this shouldn’t replace traditional medical treatment

The following ingredients are needed:

*A poppet or doll, preferably self-made.

*Chamomile flowers and vervain sufficient to stuff the poppet.

*Hair or nail clippings from the object of the spell (if you can get them).

*A photo or image of the object (if you can get one).

*A black marker pen.

*A lancing pin.

*A box large enough to contain the poppet or doll.

As a general rule for a healing spell to work properly and before commencing, the object of the spell needs to know and consent to your working it. He or she doesn’t necessarily need to be present while the work is done. This spell should be performed on a full moon into its waning cycle.

Preparation: To construct a poppet take a suitable sized piece of cloth (use natural materials and fibers such as cotton, wool or silk and remember also to consider its colour correspondences for healing, see Colours). Fold it in two and with a pen mark out a rough image of a body. Now cut out the shape so you have two identical pieces then sew the two pieces together around the edges. Leave a hole wide enough to stuff the poppet with the chamomile flowers and vervain, also insert the photo, hair and/or nail clippings if you have them before sewing it closed. Finally with the black maker pen draw a black circle on the poppet where the ailment is concentrated.

The Working Ritual: Form a magick circle and call the Goddess and God to aid you spell. Consecrate the poppet and place it on your altar visualizing the object of the spell and the ailment he/she is suffering. Consecrate the lancing pin and charge it with healing energies. Take up the poppet in your left hand and the pin in your right and pierce the black circle with the pin. Concentrate all your willpower on healing the ailing individual saying or chanting something like:

In the name of the Goddess and God, I lance this disease with the spear of healing. As the Full Moon wanes, let this ailment drain. No more to be, replaced with heath and vitality. So mote it be!

Leave the pin in the poppet and place the poppet in the box on the altar. Visualize the object of the spell regaining good health while building your power and energy and releasing it towards its goal. When the rite has finished, store the box somewhere safe until the person is restored to good health. The poppet can be retrieved and the rite re-worked to accentuate and re-empower the magick over a period if necessary. Use additional lancing pins leaving each in place after each working. Once the healing is complete and success has been achieved, remove the pins and dissemble the poppet. Bury the contents outside in the earth.

CENSER

CENSER

The censer, or incense burner, represents the element of Air. It can be a big,
swinging metal contraption like those used in churches or it can be as simple as
a small wooden one. You can use both the stick holders and the metal ones for
powdered incense. If you can’t find a suitable censer, a bowl filled with sand,
salt or kitty litter works fine. The sand or salt absorbs the heat from the
charcoal, or incense sticks or cones can be pushed into it. I find that incense
greatly increases my concentration and is especially useful in meditations

Lady A’s Spell Of The Day for 8/12: Breaking a Binding Spell

BREAKING A BINDING SPELL

Some binding spells can cause physical manifestations.
You feel as if invisible strands of hair or thin strings are wrapped around you.
You can’t see them but you can feel them and nothing you do can make that sensation stop.
Here is a way to dispel a binding.
Cut a bit of your own hair and set it in a small bowl.
Light 3 candles, 1 red, 1 white and 1 green. In a fire safe bowl or incense brazier, light a
piece of charcoal and add some myrrh, patchouli and sandalwood incense (powdered kind
not cone or stick). Take a sterile needle or pin and prick your right index finger.
Squeeze three drops of blood into the smoldering incense.
As you drop the hair onto the lit incense repeat these words:
With blood, candle and scent times three
No longer shall this binding be
Free to live and free to soar
Let me leave the house once more.
As I burn this hair, a part of me
Let my heart and soul be free!
And for those who doth cast despair
Binding me with sightless hair
I send to them this well-earned curse
Let their evil spell reverse!
Teach them mercy and love’s sweet gift
Once learned, this simple spell shall lift.
As is my will, so mote it be!
Let the incense burn out and scatter the ashes outside.
Lifting the binding spell should take care of the problem. Keep an eye on those around you.
Someone who wished you ill will start to experience the torment they put you through.
Once they understand that what they did was wrong, then the sensation will fade
and they will be back to normal.

Elder’s Meditation of the Day August 12

Elder’s Meditation of the Day August 12

“With one mind we address our acknowledgment, respect, and gratefulness to all the sacred Cycle of Life. We, as humans, must remember to be humble and acknowledge the gifts we use so freely in our daily lives.”

–Audrey Shenandoah, ONONDAGA

The sacred Cycle of life – the baby, the youth, the adult, the Elder. Let us respect all directions, the four directions of the Grandfathers; let us respect their power. Let us remember we belong to the earth, the earth does not belong to us. Help us to be respectful to all the gifts You have given us.

Oh Great Spirit, help me this day to be humble. Let me not attack anything in deed or in my thoughts. Let my thoughts focus on the beauty You have created in all things.
