Using Moldavite to Enhance Your Psychic Gifts

Sit quietly in a room free of noise and clutter and hold a piece of moldavite in your left hand (nearest your heart). Close your eyes and concentrate on how the crystal feels in your palm. If the stone can help you, you will begin to feel a pulsating throb run through your fingers. At this point, place the stone in your pocket or, if it’s a piece of jewelry, put it on. You will start to receive premonitions within a few hours. These can appear as imaginary visions or as significant dreams. Make sure to write them down.

Moldavite

Although there is no absolute proof, this rare and precious natural glass gem, bottle-green in color, is thought to be extraterrestrial, formed from a meteorite impact. Because there is only a small finite source of moldavite in Central Europe, it is sought after and rather expensive to purchase. You will have to be very grounded in order to wear this stone, because its power can easily overwhelm more sensitive individuals. I use moldavite often to enhance my psychic ability or to connect with my guides in dreams.

Lapis Lazuli

This rich blue stone has been treasured throughout history, from Egyptian pharaohs and Babylonian kings to Renaissance painters who ground the precious material themselves to create vibrant ultramarine pigments. Lapis is still held in high esteem by witches, and we are very respectful of its powerful energy. It wards off negative vibrations and, if worn at bedtime, can bring  vivid dreams of other lives and links to soul mates who may not have reincarnated at this time and who decided to remain in the spirit world. Lapis alleviates migraines and problems with the throat, and it helps with ear infections too. But its main effect is to bring inner knowledge of other worlds. If you are seeking to enhance your psychic abilities, always wear this stone in jewelry form, and your insight will naturally develop.

Using Hematite To Rediscover Past Lives

I started out yesterday with Crystals and didn’t finish what I planned but I will today………

On a rainy day, leave a piece of hematite outdoors for a few hours. This will increase its power and cleanse it, leaving it ready for use. That evening, carry or wear the stone, allowing it to tune in to your vibration. At bedtime, go to sleep holding it in your hand. As you drift off, ask the angels/deities to open your mind and permit you to take a peek into your past existence. You may have a vision or dream of another lifetime.

Citrine

The “cuddle quartz” as it is often called, carries the energy and colors of the sun. It is a harmonizing stone that can make you feel at peace with the world. If you are lonely hold a piece of citrine and feel the energy of love come into your soul. If you are angry with someone and want to vent your spleen, then citrine will calm you. When witches want a bit more money energy, they use citrine along with money spells. This is the stone of abundance, good luck and inspiration, so keep a piece on you at all times and you will never have to worry about paying your bills?

Amethyst

This lavender-purple crystal has a gentle vibration and can be used for healing or to help clam stress and nerves. When someone is not well, amethyst can be place near the ailing person or worn next to the skin. After the crystal has been worn for a week, it is best to rinse the stone in tepid water every evening for seven days and then let dry it overnight. When the healing process is done, leave the crystal overnight.

Crystal Power

Witches always have crystals somewhere on their person, and if you stroll around their gardens you will often find a piece of amethyst twinkling out at you from a cabbage patch, or perhaps there will be a sliver of quartz nestled somewhere under a bush. Because crystals possess unique properties of conductivity and electrical frequency, they are used in everything from radios to watches to computers. Wiccans value crystals because they are wonderful for changing auras from negative to positive and they help clear destructive energies from our homes and gardens. There are so many types of crystals in the world that it is impossible to list them all here. if you want to learn more about crystals, there are countless books and websites out there, but for now we are going to explore some of the more popular crystals in use today. These are not just worn as jewelry, but often place on our altars to support a spell. You can use any size crystal or stone in a spell, the results will be the same.

Crystal Formation

The mechanism that creates crystals is movement in the Earth’s crust. As layers of crust float on the liquid rock mantle beneath collisions and pressure create fractures that allow superheated liquids and gases, filled with different elements to move rapidly toward the surface. As these liquids and gases cool. they often crystalize. The temperature, pressure, surrounding rocks and mix of elements all determine which minerals crystallize at a particular place. Crystals and rocks produced in this way are known as igneous.

If crystals and rocks are exposed to wind, frost and water, they begin to erode. Small particles are washed into the sea where they form silt deposits. After many millions of years of extreme pressure, these deposits become compressed, forming sedimentary crystals and rock. Minerals of this type ten to be softer than igneous crystals as they form at lower temperatures and pressures.

Crystals and Color

Qualities like chemical make-up structure, shape, hardness and lustre focus the energies of crystals in certain ways, but colour is the key to how a crystal heals.

We appreciate colour as an adornment, forgetting that it represents a real force – the level of energy in light. This energy stimulates the brain, altering the way we think and feel as well as our physical well-being. Our reaction to colour is instinctive and cannot be controlled. But if we learn the effects of each colour, we will begin to understand why we are drawn to some stones more than others, which will help us to choose the right crystal for every situation.

Many crystals appear in more than one colour. This is because some samples may contain a few extra atoms of an uncharacteristic element that slightly distorts the internal lattice and changes the colour we perceive.

Gem experts discover the true colour of a crystal by a streak test. This involves scraping the crystal across an unglazed ceramic tile to leave a fine dust of particles, revealing the crystal’s underlying colour. The streaks of smoky quartz, violet amethyst, yellow citrine, rose quartz and green aventurine, for example are all grey-white – exactly the same as for clear quartz.

Basic colour qualities

Black – grounding
Brown – enabling
Red –  energizing
Orange – releasing
Yellow – organizing
Green – balancing
Blue – communicating
Indigo (deep blue) – cooling
Violet – integrating
Pink – accepting
White – cleansing
Clear – clarifying

Crystals From Ancient to Journey

The forms of crystal healing that are in use today arose in the alternative culture of the 1970’s and 1980’s but like many complementary systems, they have developed out of old cultural traditions. The idea that every store has special magickal properties can be traced back through Europe literature  of the  early Middle Ages  to their sources in Greek, Roman and Arabic philosophy which in turn owe much to the Ayurvedic traditions of indian.

Modern crystal healers initially focused very much on the properties of rock crystal (clear quartz). Traditionally crystals of quartz have been highly valued  by healers around the world for their ability to connect with spirit worlds, to reveal and diagnose illness and to allow a Shaman or healer to remove the causes of disease. The use of crystals, crystal mirrors and crystal balls for divination is simply a continuation of the long tradition.

These mystical ways of using crystals are usually dismissed by modern science as mere superstition and yet science recognizes the unique – properties of minerals and crystals, making use of their characteristics in everything from wristwatches (quartz), automobile spark-plugs (kyanite), medical lasers (ruby) and space shuttle windows (sapphire).

The pragmatic and metaphysical views of the crystal world may seem to be mutually exclusive. However, both approaches are valuable. One provides useful tools and technologies, while the other enables us to see beyond the attention to one of these sides of our natures, we miss out on a wealth of experience – both are necessary to keep us whole and healthy. Crystal healing can restore fundamental balance to our existence.

Cleansing Crystals with Sunlight and Moonlight

The easiest of the cleansing techniques involves using your  stone in a windowsill where the direct sunlight or moonlight will hit it. The number of days or nights you’ll have it will depend on how much negative energy has collected in the stone. Set the stone on a mirror to enhance the effect. Be careful not to handle that mirror so that is flashed the reflection of the light into the eyes, as it can damage eyesight,. Make sure that the reflection doesn’t focus on a flammable surface for an extended time, either.

Cleansing Crystals with Running Water

If you’re fortunate enough to live near a stream, tie your stone in a pieces of cheesecloth or old pantyhose and with a piece of string fasten it to a branch or stone on the bank. Let the fabric wrapped stone rest in the water for at least twenty-four house. If you’re in an urban environment, you can set the stone in a strainer or colander and put it in your sink. Turn the cold water tap on and leave it three for a while. However, this method wastes a lot of water, so I don’t use it. Instead, I pour bottled spring water in a dish, and set the stones in it. Water absorbs energy whether it’s running or not, the movement simply add more energy to the process and gets it done faster.

Water is an excellent purifier. If you add a pinch of salt to it, it becomes even more powerful. Again, however, if there’s any metal attached to the stone, skip the salt and use pure water. Don’t subscribe earth for that pinch of salt in the technique, or you’ll end up having to rinse off the stone under the tap anyway.

Cleansing Stones Using Earth

In a small dish of earth, bury the stone for three days. Most of the time houseplants can be used for this. Put a toothpick or some sort of marker in the surface of the earth above where you’ve buried your stone, though, or you might never find it again. In addition, beware of using houseplant’s earth if the stone contains a lot of negative energy; it will be absorbed by the earth (which is why you’re using the earth to cleanse the stone), but it will in turn be absorbed from the earth into the houseplant, and the house is likely to die.

Cleansing Stones Using Salt

In a small dish of salt, bury the stone you wish to cleanse and leave it for at least twenty-four hours. Depending on how deeply the stone requires cleansing or purification you might wish to leave it buried in the salt for up to a week. Be careful what kind of stone you’re burying: stones with a high iron content react poorly to salt. If the stone is set in metal, do not use this method, as the salt will corrode the metal setting.

If all you have on hand is table salt, it will do. However, if you’re serious about spellcraft, it’s a good idea to invest in sea salt, a more natural form of salt. The less refined the salt is, the more natural energy it contains. Sea salt is only a bit more expensive than table salt, and easily found in most supermarkets now, as well as drugstores or health food stores. Kosher salt is good, too. Never use rock salt designed for outdoor use in winter, as it is toxic.

Stones

Stones are great to use in spellcrafting, because you can recycle them by cleansing and purifying them. Basically, this”washes” them clean of whatever energy with which you previously empowered the, as well as whatever energy they picked up during their work. Note that this does not remove their base energy. No matter what you do, you can never remove the basic energy encoded into the stones (or herb, or any component, for that matter). Once the stone has been cleansed, it’s ready to go again; a blank slate for you to program or charge for a new purpose. There are several ways to cleanse a stone.
