New Moon Report for February 18th – Sun in Pisces

New Moon Report

Sun in Pisces

Saturday, February 18, 10:18 pm PST, Sunday, February 19, 1:18 am EST

The Sun’s entry into the last sign of the zodiac is a step into synthesis. Its presence in Pisces reminds us that the walls that keep us apart from one another are merely illusions. We are all one in the sea of consciousness where the Fishes swim. This oceanic state can be confusing, of course, since we rely on boundaries to maintain our individual identities. Rather than reinforcing barriers to sustain them or tearing them down completely, adding flexibility to the ego lets us seamlessly flow together and drift apart as desired. Reconnecting with spirituality, nature and one another are its sweetest rewards.

Ishtar Invocation

I beseech thee, Lady of Ladies,
Goddess of Goddesses,
Ishtar, queen of all cities,
Leader of all men.
Thou art the light of the world,
Thou art the light of heaven.
At thy name the earth and the heavens shake,
And the gods they tremble;
The spirits of heaven tremble at thy name
And the men hold it in awe.
Where thou glancest the dead come to life,
And the sick rise and walk;
And the mind that is distressed is healed
When it looks upon thy face.

Call and response:
For lo, I am the Keeper of the Storehouse
And I am generous to all men!
From my breasts nourishment spills
From my hands nourishment flows
From my heart nourishment streams
I am the Morning Star
I am the Evening Star
I am the Star of Heaven
And I give unto all humanity.

(After this, all should being the work of inventorying all the resources of the house, in Ishtar’s name, so that they may be used more efficiently and that it can be known what can be given to others out of generosity.)

The Wicca Book of Days for Feb. 18th – Mighty Ash

The Wicca Book of Days for February 18th

Mighty Ash

The Celtic tree month of the Ash begins today, and will last until the Alder takes over on March 18th. Yggdrasil, the Norse world tree, was envisaged as a mighty Ash, and this is just one of the reasons why the Ash was considered to supply stability and strength (another is that its hard-wearing wood was favored for spear shafts and tool handles). The ancient Greeks believed that serpents fled from the Ash tree, so that it also had protective powers, that is, unless you sheltered under it during a thunderstorm, for according to an old English rhyme, “And shun the Ash/It courts the flash.”

“A Heavenly View”

Take inspiration from U. S. astronomer Clyde W. Tombaugh, who discovered the planet Pluto on February 18, 1930, to do some stargazing of your own this evening, perhaps after wrapping up warmly and venturing out in the dead of night. Communing with the heavens will be time wonderfully spent.

Today’s Affirmation

“Our relationship is like a gardener’s microclimate. If the conditions are right, both of us will grow healthily. I will nurture the ground to the best of my ability.”

Today’s Thought

“The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and a richness to life that nothing else can bring.”

Oscar Wilde (1854 – 1900)

Today’s Meditation

Open to Love

Imagine yourself as a flowerbud, head bowed, petals tightly furled. Gradually you become pleasantly aware of a warm tingle as the morning sun strikes the base of your petals. You life your head and loosen your petals a little. As the sunlight gets warmer, you feel encouraged to open further until your exquisite petals, delicate hues and intoxicating scent are revealed in all their glory. In the same way, allow the warmth of your partner’s love to open your heart, allowing its full beauty to be revealed.

Hey Ya’ll, It’s Saturday! Relax & Enjoy!

Weekend Pictures, Images, Comments, Graphics
Hello, my dear friends! How is everyone doing today? I hope super fine. My early morning wake up calls is killing me. I had Kiki (Pom pup) jumping up and down on me this morning at 4 a.m. She decided I needed to get out of the floor and go to bed, HA! I think I fell asleep around 11:00 and she waits till 4 to get me up. Great timing, all I can say. I have been up ever since. I thought about going back to sleep. But after I put the cookies up, washed dishes, straightened up the living room, cleaned the bathroom, well heck, the sun was up. I do more things while most people are asleep than your average joe does all day.

Well enough with my boring routine. I hope you have a fantastic weekend. If the weather is pretty where you are at, get outside and enjoy it for me some too. It is cloudy, miserable and suppose to snow. I am ready for Spring!!!

Anyway, have a great one, my dears!

Luv & Hugs,

Lady A
