The Spell:

Fill the cauldron or bowl with water and sprinkle the crushed cloves in it.
Sterilize the thorn or pin and your finger with rubbing alcohol, then prick your finger and squeeze a drop of blood into the water.
Make three, slow, gentle clockwise circles in the water with the broom straw. Gaze into the water without skepticism or preconceptions. Allow impressions about your future to arise into your awareness–don’t censor or analyze, just keep an open mind and an open heart. Gaze as long as you like.
When you’re finished, empty the water, and write down what you experienced.
