A Thought for Today – Have You Thought to Thank Your Health Care Team?
In this time of uncertainty, stress, and worry about the possibility of you, a loved one, friend, neighbor, co-workers, etc getting the COVID-19 virus that we may forget our own health care team we see for whatever ailments we get or chronic conditions we may have. If you have a way, even if it is a note by snail mail, to thank your personal health care team and their support team that will not interfer with other patients that need to contact them because or illness or injury or whatever than please make sure to thank them. Besides thanking them for their selfness hard work keep them in your daily prayers, meditation, or whatever you call it when you communicate with the Goddess and/or God ask that they and their family stay healthy.
This is a small way to help these wonderful, caring people to know their efforts not just now with this strain of a coronavirus running rampant but them being there for you and others 24/7/365.
I was able to do this through a phone app for the umbrella group my doctor and her group practice they belong to called My Chart. I also plan to send a thank you for all you to do not just to my doctor and the health care team but addressed to the entire office to include the offices support stuff also. The support staff to me includes the receptionist, billing, etc. Without these people the office could not run as smoothly.
If you chose to accept this I send blessings to you and your family for good health, less stress, and positive energy.

A Very Happy and Blessed Ostara or Mabon
Well, I just learned something new about the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere and the fall equinox in the southern hemisphere. Ostara the spring equinox is on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 10:49 PM PM CT while Mabon the fall equinox is on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 2:49 PM AEDT in the southern hemisphere. Which means we are experiencing the equinoxes at the exact same time just in different time zones and because of the international date line on a different date.
When I read this I felt it covered more than just a blessing for Ostara and Mabon. I felt it was a blessing to carry with us all through the year.
Northern Brothers and Sisters: May what you sow this spring come to a bountiful harvest in the fall.
Southern Brothers and Sisters: May what you sowed in the spring be bring you a bountiful harvest this fall.
Remember we can sow different things for our own reasons they do not have to be something we plant in the ground and watch grow, they can be something we change in our lifestyle or in our spiritual or magickal path. Then when we harvest them they become part of us and who we are.

Beginning the Sabbat with a Universal Prayer
Just before we begin our Sabbat, I would like to acknowledge all that has happened and is happening in 2020, before and beyond. It is a significant time of much change and challenges for both humanity and the Great Earth Mother and all within her. Let us take a minute to pray for the universal healing in this time of need.
“May the Great Mother and Great Father give us strength and refuge in our time of need. Help us to remain calm and strong in the face of uncertainty, help us find compassion without the overwhelming feeling of empathy. Great Mother and Father teach me humility, acceptance and to remember my kindness”
So mote it be……..

Ostara is the beginning of spring, the season for new beginnings and the renewal of life through planting. This is the time we can now plant seeds and nurture them throughout the coming months to bare their fruit. What is it that you would like to plant in your life? What are you willing to nurture throughout the growing season? For this ritual as this season is also a time for re-birth, new life and fertility we will be concentrating on the symbology of the egg. Think of the dark and light as the feminine and the masculine. The Goddess and the God resorting your outer and inner balance.
Mabon is the second of 3 harvest festivals celebrating the equinox and the harvest of apples. On the day of the equinox, day and night is of equal length. For the next 6 months the nights will be longer than the days. This is such a great time of abundance. All the hard work that it takes to collect the harvest, it is now a time to rest, reap what you have sown and take the time to look at you hopes and aspirations and reflect how they have manifested. Most importantly spend it with the people you love. This is a time of giving, sharing and loving.

A time to reflect, a time to come together in the here and now in this sacred space where all time becomes one. The second harvest has been reaped, now take the time to rest and feel the change as the season passes from one to the next.
My Mother, go now and slumber
My Father go now and dream of re-birth”
Arms outstretched, lower your head and close your eyes, sit in contemplation for 30 seconds.

Pick up the apple and place it on the pentacle
Cut the apple crosswise to reveal the pentagram bringing the elements into your life

Great Mother calls me forward to rest and lull myself to sleep with her songs as I cling myself to her bosom”.
Face the altar and branch held out in front of you and say……
“May I never forget the summer memories and continue to strive during the colder months. May I take this time to go within and reflect on the Mysteries that lead me to a better understanding of myself, of others and all that is in life and death”.

Covid – 10 Worldwide Update
This post is not being put up to feed into the upheaval and panic many people across Mother Earth’s governments have been feeding into all of us this is just for overall information. The important thing to remember is coronavirus is an umbrella term for all kinds of colds and flu. The strain of the virus that is causing the, to me, unnecessary panic is Covid – 19. So I hope finds everyone healthy and with enough of every to make through whatever restrictions your country or state has put into effect.
Where I live outside of Chicago, Illinois, USA our schools are closed, some of them have just switched everyone to homeschooling until about April 6th. I think that would have been a smart move for all the schools that have been closed in the USA. In Illinois as of 6:00 PM CDT all bars and restaurants have to be closed except for carry-outs or deliveries.
One of my heart brothers is going to a very special gathering in Ohio during the Spring Equinox while the event was not completely shut down they are now limited to only 99 people per indoor parts of the event. The event sponsors have rescheduled the event for near Samhain so those that cannot attend next weekend because of travel restrictions or whatever can still be together during an important time of the year. The main problem I can see for these people is being able to eat as in Ohio, the state that the event is in has put an even stricter closing of all types of restaurants.

Card Reading for Monday
The card I pulled for everybody today is: The Art of Life: This reveals: “There’s no sacred light in the aura of an invisible life. Be bold in your skin, let your love dance in sight.
Now this card also reveals to me that we all hide to a certain degree. It could be what we practice that we hide, or it could be hiding who we really are.
Now, is the time to stand bold and stop living the invisible life. Stand up for your beliefs and who you are.
I am a witch, a healer, a psychic medium, a card reader, and Native American. I was afraid of revealing this but one day I decided the Creator gave me these gifts and so now I stand proud.
Many blessings!!!!

Weekly Horoscope Sunday, March 8, 2020 to Saturday, March 15, 2020
All Signs
On Monday, Mercury retrograde ends and silly errors reduce. (Yay!) Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto continue in Capricorn, an influence that strengthens the status quo. But on March 21, (Spring!) Saturn enters Aquarius. Quelle difference! Saturn in Aquarius will challenge the status quo. But not yet. It will be a whiff in the air of what’s coming. Saturn returns to Capricorn in July to stay until mid-Dec.; then it’s gone for 30 years. Oh yes. In 2021, change is a-comin’ because radical Aquarius is the energy behind unions, Green Peace and Amnesty International. Everyone will have tattoos and earbud implants (except for seniors who get rock music through their Mercury fillings). “Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!”
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Once again, a mixed message from the universe is hitting your sign. Because the Sun continues to hide in your chart (until your birthday) this solar influence makes you want to hide as well, and keep a low profile by working alone or behind the scenes. Countering this, four planets at the top of your chart, urge you to make a big splash in the world! They arouse your ambition and magnify your public success! People are impressed! You have to continue to juggle this contradiction until your birthday. In the meantime, Venus will attract money to you and urge you to buy beautiful things for yourself and loved. “I like!”
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Your popularity continues! (Everyone wants you to sit at their table because you’re a foodie.) In the next few weeks, you will be charming and diplomatic with everyone because your ruler Venus is in Taurus. This makes you so attractive! You will like what you see in the mirror, which makes this an excellent time to buy wardrobe treasures. Do it! Conversations with bosses and authority figures will improve because Mercury retrograde will no longer be at the top of your chart. Major relief! Meanwhile, your desire to travel and explore opportunities in publishing, the media, the law, medicine and higher education continues to flourish!
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Another week with the Sun at high noon in your chart. (This happens for four weeks once a year.) It symbolizes that you look fabulous in the eyes of others, especially bosses, teachers, and VIPs, which is why this window of time is when you should make your move! Ask for a raise. Ask for a promotion. Ask for that parking spot. Ask for whatever you want because the odds are good you will get it! Others see you in a flattering way, even if you don’t do anything special. Secret love affairs might flourish for some of you. (You love your adoring peanut gallery.) Meanwhile, gifts, goodies and money from others continue to come your way. Oh my – what’s not to like?
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
A strong group of planets now sits opposite your sign. This is a mixed bag because Saturn has created problems in your closest partnerships and friendships in the last two years. (Thank goodness, this is gone by the end of December never to return for 30 years.) In addition, Mars, which is opposite your sign for the rest of the month, makes you easily annoyed and impatient with others. (Well, they’re annoying.) But are they? Could it possibly be the lens in your Martian glasses? What ameliorates these influences is lucky Jupiter at the rescue. Jupiter brings joy to your friendships and partnerships, and blesses your one-to-one encounters with others and attracts “different” people who can help you into your life. Thrilling!
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This cluster of planets in Capricorn makes you work hard. (And you’re no slouch in the worst of times.) This continues to be a productive time for you because you’re putting out energy at your job and also on personal tasks that you’re doing. (“I making lists. I have quotas. I will prevail!”) This week fair Venus is at the top of your chart, which is a blessing. It makes you look attractive and clever, especially to bosses, parents and teachers. This is why you will attract others to you who will ask for your advice about creative matters like design, layout, furniture arrangement and the right beer glass for each brand. Plus, the Sun will energize your passions both sexually and in your approach to anything that’s important to you. Look out world!
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You still need more sleep. The upside is that you have more detachment and objectivity to view your close friendships and partnerships. You see your style in relating to those who are closest to you, and this knowledge can help you improve these relationships. You can see how to be a better friend: you can see how to be a better partner. Your desire to travel will be strong in the next several weeks; but, if you can’t travel, you can still do something to widen your universe. Explore your own backyard! Study new things. Read books, watch film and movies and learn more because this is what you want and need. Take a tiny vacation. Accept invitations to socialize – definitely.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Because more than any other sign, you are affected by your environment (colour, lighting, smells and the beauty of your surroundings), you are working hard to restore your home to the standards you want. Lately, redecorating projects, changes, repairs and visiting guests have made it tough to keep your home the way you like. It’s important to know that 2020 is the year to focus on your home because you can make wonderful improvements to where you live! You can also explore real-estate opportunities. In fact, this year is the best chance for you to do this in over a decade. This week, money and gifts from others will help you do this very thing! (Oh my.)
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
It’s fun city for Scorpios because your opportunities to play and enjoy vacations still exist! Socializing and fun getaways plus a chance to enjoy arts and sports events will delight you. Activities with kids will be rewarding. Venus opposite your sign for the next few weeks paves the way for warm, affectionate relations with those who are closest to you. Family discussions are important now and for some of you – home repairs. Despite your focus on fun and pleasure, Mars continues to hype your communication style making you proactive, direct, convincing and persuasive! (Gasp.) People are listening to you! Continue to enjoy your good fortune!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Home, your personal world and your family continue to be your strong focus. Many of you are involved more than usual with a parent. (“Hi Darth.”) Take advantage of the fact that Mars is encouraging you to work hard to earn money because this is the year for you to boost your income! (Yes, Mars will encourage you to spend it as well.) Transportation delays and silly errors in communications will reduce this week and from thereon, because Mercury is no longer retrograde in your House of Communications. (Whew!) Venus continues to bring you praise and perhaps a raise in your job? It also sweetens your relations with coworkers. That’s nice.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
It’s a fast-paced week and you’ve got energy to burn! Fiery Mars is still in your sign, urging you to assert yourself so that you can show the world what you can do. You are more dominant than usual, (but only if forced). You do however, want the complete freedom to do whatever you want. Meanwhile, you’re busy! You have a packed agenda and many of you are taking short trips as well. On top of this, Venus has just moved into a playful, fun-loving part of your chart, which encourages creative activities, fun times with children and also beautifully enhances romantic relationships. Because Mercury is no longer retrograde, money will come to you more easily. About time!
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Money, cash flow and earnings continues to be a big focus for you. “Gimme all ya got!” Life has been a bit hairy because Mercury retrograde slipped back from Pisces into your own sign. Aagghh! But as of Monday, this week, Mercury is no longer retrograde. (Good news for you!) In fact, Venus will encourage you to entertain at home. Invite friends over for good food and drink. Many of you will also want to tweak and redecorate your digs. You might even explore real-estate possibilities or a better renting situation? Whatever the case, your life is improving. Nothing is static. Therefore, improvement is always a good sign. You know it; I know it; we both know it.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
The Sun is still in your sign giving you a chance to re-energize and restore yourself for the coming year. “I’m back!” Venus is now travelling through your House of Communications, sweetening your words and making you appealing to everyone else in an affectionate, charming way. (You really know how to do coy, don’t you?) Coy on! This is actually timely — because fiery Mars is energizing your activities with friends and groups and making you possibly, I just say possibly, a bit pushy and “in your face.” Moi? Yes, you. The upside, of course, is that you are able to rouse your troops and set them marching. “To the gates!”
One Way to Make Your Own Besom Using Branches and Sticks
I suggest gathering these under a full or waxing Moon phase as they will hold more helpful energy. Your Besom can also be used to sweep out the negativity in your sacred place and/or wherever you are going to cast a circle. Remember to ask the tree you get your branch and sticks from even if they are laying on the ground no longer attached to the tree. It is always better to take what you need from a tree or shrub off of the ground beneath it rather than cutting pieces off the tree or shrub. Get a branch about 3 to 4 inches little taller then you are. Gather good size bunch of unstift smaller branches, I have found getting the sticks from under a shrub or pine tree make the best sweeping part of the Besom, if possible the size difference in them should be no more the approximately 2 inches in size. After gathering the branch and sticks remember to thank the tree for the parts it has given you and to leave an offering such as some water out of a container you have drank from. You need a ball of natural thin twine or some type of undryed vine. Tie the twine or vine to the branch making sure it is tight and will not slip off (you may want to by an angular cut about 4 to 5 inch up from the bottom of the branch to slip this twine or vine when securing it. (The size you have at the bottom of your Besom made from the twigs is up to you. Usually doing 2 to 4 layers of sticks make a good size Besom. Lay your first stick against the branch pull the twine or vine around the stick as tightly as you can, continue doing this until you have made you first layer of sticks pull the twine or vine in the opposite direction the you have been placing the in a tightly as possible and tie it off but do not cut the twine or vine. For the next layer you will follow the same instruction except lay the sticks in the opposite direction from the first layer. The third layer will go in the same direction as the first layer and the fourth layer goes in the same direction as the second layer. To help ensure you sticks stay secure to the branch at the end of each layer of sticks pour white glue over the sticks and twine or vine and make sure it gets down to the branch. If you want you can even put glue on the branch as you lay each first layer stick. Let each layer of sticks dry for approximately 24 hours before adding the next layer. When you have done the last layer and have used glue to help hold it together let the entire Besom dry a minimum of 72 hours before using it.
Public Health Message from World Health Organization
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak- World Health Organization Information
No matter where you are in the world reading this take simple precautions such as washing hands often, if your cannot wash them carry hand sanitizer to use often when out in public. Those of you with children and/or others that come in and out often insist they wash there hands well before touching anything in your home. To help keep your home COVID-19 free use either a throw away cloth such as Clorox Wipes on all door knobs, counters, TV remotes, computer keyboards, game controls, etc.
If you are considered a high risk for catching this wear a mask or heavy winter scarf and gloves outside whenever you leave your home. I am in this high risk catagory and wear a winter scarf along with medical gloves underneath regular gloves so I don’t look to silly. I am lucky to have kept many scarfs and thin knit gloves over the years so I wear a scarf and pair of gloves once then they go into the laundry. These are the only thing in my home that always get washed with HOT WATER and a 1/4 cup of WHITE VINEGAR. Also dry them on HOT. White vinegar is a bacteria killer not as good as chlorine bleach but it doesn’t fade my clothes and I am not allergic to white vinegar. I also wash any coat I have been outside in to go anywhere with the scarfs and gloves but hang dry it.
Full Moon in Virgo
During the Full Moon in Virgo, we turn to the task of separating grain from the chaff, to bring the things in our lives to order. Virgo is the practical priestess—the healer—connected to archetype of the Virgin Goddess, Hestia, who teaches us the value of intentional solitude. Virgo medicine show us how to be discriminating and hone things down to their essentials. She is the solitary Witch in the forest who tends the herbs by the Moon. The one who knows that rituals of daily life are sacred, that the body is the temple, and that service in the spiritual practice. Now is the time to synthesize, refine, and make the things of our lives sound. To know just what medicine is required, to dispel illusion and see into the heart of the matter.
Hestia, help me sort the seeds. Help me know when it is time to harvest and when it is time to let something die on the vine. Show me the magic of a simple well-ordered life.

Earth Magic Oracle Cards – Gaia Nurturing

I bought this oracle deck because it called to me as a way to bring Mother Earther or Gaia or any other name of names we know this wonderful planet we live on. Gaia gives us unconditional love no matter how much humans disrespect her in a mirid of ways.
This card Gaia – Nurturing from, the Earth Magic Oracle Cards by Steven D. Farmer, tells me Gaia loves us unconditionally no matter how much humans disrespect her through too many people to us overusing natural resources through too many ways to list here. So let’s go with some highlights, not enough open space left in the “first world counties” to grow enough food to feed their overpopulation, and in “third world countries” where there is drought caused by too many manmade structures built on other parts of Gaia that causes the natural order of rain, evaporation of moisture to bring much-needed rains to fracking to over-harvesting medicinal plants, fungus, insects, etc that grow in the rain forests and or places to throwing trash where ever they are at which causes wildlife to live unnaturally using things such as plastic to build nests or trying to feed a cigarette butt to their offspring. to places using the oceans, other small and/or large waterways to dump garbage collected for the overpopulated cities or people just throwing things overboard to thousands of other big and small ways we rape, pillage, overuse and disrespect our beautiful, all-loving Gaia.
Ask yourself this question and really think about an honest answer you give yourself and to the younger generations following us. What should we be teaching not just from books about how Gaia, the waterways (this includes any kind of pond, stream, river, sea, ocean, etc) and the air we and they breathe but also how we choose to be part of the solution in helping, honoring, and most of all living in harmony with her. Or are you going to be part of the problem of continuing to use up Gaia’s many resources she gives us freely as well as lovingly? Or are you somewhere in between these two positions?

Remember we are the key to changing so we can live in harmony once more with Gaia
