When the Moon is in Aries
The Mood of Aries
The Moon sets the emotional tone as it transits through the Zodiac signs. It changes signs every 2 1/2 days. You can work with this rhythm to “go with the flow” of the Moon. You can use it to know the general feeling tone to expect.
If you’re following the Moon, see if you don’t sense the mood change from dreamy and diffuse Pisces to fired up Aries. It brings emotional vitality and the drive to act on feelings. The Moon in Aries speeds up instinctual reactions, and might put us in an edgy, punchy mood. We’re restless to start something! It’s a good time for firsts that mean facing your fears. That butterflies in the stomach feeling let’s you know you’ve shoved off from your own comfort zone.
There’s a spark of momentum that is like the thrust of Spring, or the lusty look in a young lover’s eye. It fosters the desire to keep things simple, and do more than you talk about doing. If you’re one that sits a lot, this is a great time to move the gams or take a challenging martial arts class.
Doing something out of the ordinary, that has a physical component, is very satisfying under an Aries Moon.
This can be an emotionally cathartic few days. Instead of sidling up to a problem, you can attack it head on. If you’ve been bottling up righteous anger, this Moon gives you the courage to let the truth fly. It brings out the “fight” in everybody. Getting into it with others is always risky, but it provokes change, and sometimes for the better.
It’s a great time to have an opening for an art show, a business, or to sell your house. It supports you if you’ve got to be dynamic, for a job interview or on a date.
You can go ahead and start that project or try to sell your idea to others. Quick short activities are favored, rather than doing any tedious footwork. You can encourage a friend, work on self-promotion materials, or throw a party.
There’s urgency with this Moon that can lead to impulsive acts. You might do some soul searching on what you’d do if you could do anything. Aries is an invincible energy that has an innocent belief that anything is possible.
When the Moon is in Aries, it’s a good time to dream big, and soul search for your passions.

Magickal Days of the Week – Wednesday

Magickal Days of the Week – Wednesday
Wednesday is named for Woden himself, although the Romans called it dies Mercurii. This is a day associated with the color purple, the planet Mercury, and the metal quicksilver – which is also called mercury. See a pattern here?
When it comes to deities… yes, Mercury! However, there are a few other gods associated with Wednesday, including Odin and Hermes, Athena, and Lugh. Gemstones like adventurine and agate come in handy as well, as do plants such as aspen trees, lilies, lavender and even ferns.
Business and job-related issues, communication, loss and debt, traveling, and journeys are all tied in to Wednesday. This is a good day to do a working to open up lines of communication – especially if your own actions are preventing you from being an effective speaker or listener. Go someplace new or return to an old favorite stomping ground, step up your game, and settle up your accounts.

Wednesday
Wednesday
Ruler: Wodin, Mercury
Colors: Orange, light blue, and gray
Power Hours: Sunrise and the 8th, 16th, and 24th hours following
Keywords: Success, creativity, communication
The word Wednesday is reminiscent of the Norse wind god Wodin, which is referenced in the popular rhyme verse “Wednesday’s child is full of woe.” This does not mean that those born on this day are full of sorrow or trouble. To be full of Woden (Wodin) means to be full of wind, to be spirited. Woden was such a powerful pagan god that the German church fathers changed the name of his day to Mittwoch, meaning midweek, in an attempt to exorcise his influence.
In the Spanish word for Wednesday, miercoles, we clearly see its connection to Mercury. Under the guidance of Mercury; Wednesday is a day of swift activity, communication, correspondence, and phone calls. This is a good day for journalists, writers, poets, bargaining, hiring employees, and visiting friends.
On Wednesdays, the hour of sunrise and every eight hours after that are also ruled by Mercury, making these times of the day doubly blessed. These are the strongest four hours for ritual work. Check your local newspaper, astrological calendar, or almanac to determine when sunrise occurs.

The Sky This Week: March 9 – 13
The Sky This Week: March 9 – 13
Wednesday, March 9
If your sky is clear you can spot the celestial lion tonight. Look toward the east for the constellation Leo the Lion. The easiest way to find it is to first find the Big Dipper, which tonight stands high in the northeast. Just poke a virtual hole in the Dipper’s bowl and follow the water as it runs out. You might hear a mighty roar as the water falls on Leo’s back. Now that you’re in the general area, search for a backward question mark with a bright star as its bottom. The question mark’s curve is the Lion’s head and mane. The bright blue star is Regulus, also known as Alpha Leonis. It marks Leo’s heart. The rest of the constellation lies to the east of the question mark. Look for a triangle of stars with bright Denebola (Beta Leonis) marking the tip of Leo’s tail.
Thursday, March 10
The Moon reaches perigee, the closest point in its orbit around Earth, at 2 a.m. EST. It then lies 223,389 miles (359,510 kilometers) away from us.
Friday, March 11
If you’re into comparisons, check out Mars sometime after it rises shortly after midnight. The Red Planet shines at magnitude 0.3, much brighter than the dim stars of Libra the Scales, within whose borders it lies. Then, after fixing the brilliance of Mars in your mind, remember to head out at the end of March and find it again. On the 31st, it will shine at magnitude –0.5, more than twice as bright as tonight.
Saturday, March 12
Head outdoors around 10 P.M. local time and look for the sky’s fourth-brightest star rising in the east. That’s Arcturus (Alpha Boötis), the luminary in the constellation Boötes the Herdsman. The easiest way to find Arcturus — just as with finding Leo a few nights ago — is to first find the Big Dipper high in the northeast. Note that the Dipper’s handle is curved. Follow that curve downward and you’ll come to Arcturus. Because the handle’s curve is also part of a circle called an arc, use the old phrase, “Follow the arc to Arcturus,” to remember how to locate the orange star.
Sunday, March 13
Daylight Saving Time begins this morning. Be sure to spring forward one hour.
The variable star Algol in Perseus reaches minimum brightness at 9:21 p.m. EDT, when it shines at magnitude 3.4. If you start viewing the star at that time, you can watch it more than triple in brightness (to magnitude 2.1) over the course of about 5 hours. This eclipsing binary star runs through a cycle from minimum to maximum and back every 2.87 days. Algol appears high in the west after sunset and sinks slowly toward the northwestern horizon after midnight.

It’s Wednesday! Hump Day! Wishing All of You A Very Gorgeous and Blessed Day!
Love Is The Law
Do what thou wilt is the Whole of the Law
The time of The Will
Bursts forth Now, in the Spring
Implacable bud!
Let your Love burst forth and blossom freely
Thunder of roses
Unfettered by harsh will
Love willed to be Free
To soar with on Her Wings into New Heavens
Over pure New Earths
Love is Will purified
Love is Her own Law!
Sun is born again in primitive Light
With Arian Force
In the Spring House of Mars
New Life Exploding
From cold Winter’s Icy dark Womb
Gives force to our Wills
Time of re-SOL-ution
We are born again
Juices of Spring wash us from Winter Womb
As Spring buds push out
We drop from Her belly
Like damp, new born colts
This is the time to re-SOL-ve our new lives
With Nature’s Forces
Supporting and healing
As Old Winter dies.
