Let’s Talk Witch – The Cosmic Web & Energy, Energy Everywhere

From the perspective of science, everything is energy. Magicians see the world as surrounded by an energetic matrix that connects everything to everything else. This matrix, or “cosmic web,” envelops our earth like a big bubble. It also permeates all things that exist here and extends throughout the solar system and beyond. The web pulses with subtle vibrations that magicians, psychics, and other sensitive individuals can feel. Regardless of whether you are consciously aware of these vibrations, you are affected by — and your own personal energy vibrations continually affect the matrix.

Energy, Energy Everywhere

Everything in the world emits an energy vibration of some kind. Different things have different energy patterns, resonances, or “signatures.” These resonances reach out to touch one another in a series of crisscrossing lines all around the world, rather like a big spider web. They also connect the physical and nonphysical worlds. These energetic connections are what enable witches and wizards to work magick— even over a long distance. You simply send a thought or emotion along one of these energy lines to wherever or whomever you wish to reach— it works faster than sending a text.

Consider this: How many times have you gotten a phone call from someone you were just thinking about? It’s not an accident. Your thoughts and the other person’s connected in the cosmic web before you spoke to one another in the physical realm. When you do magick, you purposefully tap into this infinite web. You tug a little on one of the lines. As you become skilled at using magick, you’ll learn to navigate the cosmic web just as easily as you surf the Internet. The first step is to sensitize yourself to these vibrations and become aware of the energetic field around you.

Celebrating Legends, Folklore & Spirituality 365 Days A Year – Dewali Festival of Lights

Dewali (Festival of Lights

It is around this time of year that Dewali, Hindu Festival of Lights, ushers in the new year. Hinduism is considered to be one of the oldest living religions. It was not founded but rather evolved over a period of 4,000 years. The religion is made up of many sects, and beliefs include the doctrine of Karma, as well as the worship of numerous Gods and Goddesses desses considered to be forms of the one Supreme Being.

The word dewali means cluster of lights, and the illumination tion of lamps, bonfires, and fireworks all play an important part in the weeklong festival. The devotees of Vishnu hold that this was the day he killed the demon, but the most popular belief is that Dewali celebrates the coronation of Rama, a manifestation tion of Vishnu, following his conquest of the demon ruler of Sri Lanka, Ravana. During Dewali, effigies of Ravana are burned, merchants settle the past year’s accounts, games of chance are played, and presents are given.

Monday is named after the moon. The Latin term for Monday is Dies Lunae (“moon’s day”); in the Old English language, this day was Monandaeg; in Greek, it was Hermera Selenes. All of these different names and languages translate to the same thing: the “day of the moon.”

Working with the different phases of the moon is an important skill that takes a bit of time for Witches to learn. So why not cut to the chase and experiment with the day of the week that is dedicated to the moon in all of its magickal energies and aspects?

Magickally, Monday encourages the lunar energies of inspiration, illusion, prophetic dreams, emotions, psychic abilities, travel, women’s mysteries, and fertility.

Monday Is A Day of Witchery, Magick and Enchantment

Monday Is A Day of Witchery, Magick and Enchantment

Think for a moment on all of the witchery, magick and enchantments that you have discovered. Don’t be afraid to adjust spells to suit your own specific needs. Any gentle, illusory, and dreamy charms and spells can be enhanced when you work on the day of the week that is dedicated to the moon. Mondays are a fantastic day to boost your psychic abilities and to tune in to your intuition and empathy. It also gives you the opportunity to work with a different lunar phase each and every Monday, which means in one month you could work four different types of moon magicks on Mondays. How’s that for adding to your repertoire? You are going to have mad skills in no time at all.

So light up those lunar scented candles and add a little mystique to your outfit by wearing an enchanting lunar color. Wear your sparkling silver jewelry and maybe add a pair of dangling silver earrings or a pendant shaped like a crescent moon. Create lunar potions and philters; make a dream catcher and give it as a gift to someone you love. Burn some sandalwood or jasmine-scented incense today to inspire the glamour and magick of the moon. Slice up a favorite variety of fruit that is in season for a snack or share it with your love and enjoy his or her lunar and romantic qualities. Brew up a cup of chamomile tea, enchant it with a little moon magick, and relax and get a good night’s sleep.

Most importantly, get outside tonight and watch the moon for a while. What phase is she in? What color was the moon as she rose? Why not start a journal and write down at what location the moon rises and sets for a few seasons? This is a great way to teach you to tune in and to become more aware of the moon and the influence that she pulls into our lives. Try calling on Selene for her magickal assistance, and call Thoth for wisdom and strength. Get to know the Norse Mani and the Latvian Meness. These gods of the moon have plenty to teach, and if you allow their influence to cycle through your life, you’ll receive many blessings. Be imaginative, and create your own personal lunar magick and witchery. Go on….the moonlight becomes you.

Book of Witchery: Spells, Charms & Correspondences for Every Day of the Week

In the word Monday, we can see part of the word Moon. In the romance languages such as Italian or Spanish, this day of the week is called Lunes and clearly relates to the word lunar. On Mondays, a variety of magick may be worked. Because Monday centers on the energies of the Moon, things like psychism, dreams, feminine energy, health, success in spiritual pursuits, domestic matters, and things of family origin are especially important this day.

Mondays are best for love magick and anything concerning home or family, thus old saying, Mondays child is fair of face, which seems clearly to relate to the themes of love and health.

Angels of Monday are Gabriel, Arcan, Missabu, and Abuzaha. Arcan is known as the king of the angels of air and the “ruler” of Monday. Abuzaha (Abuzohar) serves Monday, and is very responsive to invocations and ritual magick. Missabu is a ministering angel of Arcan.

Check whether the moon is waning or waxing to determine what your spell will be. During waning moons, do spells to rid yourself of obstacles or for wisdom and protection. During waxing moons do magic for increase of any kind or to draw something into your life.

On Mondays, the best hour to work is moonrise. Get this information from your local newspaper, astrological calendar, or almanac.

A Quick Note

drapeau-francais-13384961510HmOn all of the morning posts, we will be displaying the French flag. It is our way of letting them know, we love them, we support them and our heart breaks for them. Some might not agree with our decision to do this, but stop and think it through. If the terrorists who brutally murdered so many people are not caught, they will be here next. It is not only in France’s benefit that they are caught but also ours. Really it is too the benefit of any civilization nation’s benefit they are caught.

What happened in France is appalling, they need our prayers and our support during this horrendous time in their lives. Showing support for them doesn’t hurt a thing. One finally note, my prayer for the terrorist, I hope you are gunned down like the dogs you are and then you rotten in whatever dark eternity you believe in.

May the Goddess Bless France & Her People,

Lady of the Abyss

Welcome & Merry Meet To All Those Visiting Us This Morn’ & Most of All To Our Very Precious Family & Friends!

Evil never wins.

It will always be defeated, but there will be casualties.

I look to the Goddess and see her standing besides me.

I find the power which is mine

I raise my sword and defeat the face of evil with the hands of the Goddess.

She will keep me safe.

For I am her daughter forever.

I gather my Sisters close to me

I gather the strength of the Witches from the past

I gather the animals around me

My prayer begins:

I stand before the Goddess under this full moon. I seize the power of the moon in my hands. I bring the children to my side. The Goddess sends her light to me. My family shows the love that we have for each other.

May the Goddess send you her power. May those around us feel the joy that we bring to the circle. May prosperity fill our lives.

As her daughters we show our love for Mother Earth daily. She shows respect for all that is alive. We pray for those who live in fear to find safety. We pray for those who live in pain to find compassion. We pray for those in cages to run free. See how the birds fly free in our skies. See how the animals roam free. May their days be long.

I send our power to the four corners. I send our wishes to all. Bless the children. Bless our families. Bless the animals. But most … Blessings to all.
