Lady A’s Specialty of the Day – Kick the Habit Spell – Addiction Spell

MagicKick the Habit Spell

Addiction Spell

You will need:
⦁ Cinnamon
⦁ Ginger
⦁ Chili powder
⦁ Charcoal disk
⦁ A red candle
⦁ A black candle
⦁ Sage
⦁ An empty pack of cigarettes (or whatever bad habit you’re trying to overcome)
⦁ Matches
⦁ A bowl

Prepare your working space however you normally do. If you’re going to cast a circle, go ahead. Likewise, if you call upon deities, now would probably be the time to do so. I did this on the first night after the lunar eclipse, but any time during the waning moon would work.

Light the red candle. Say, “Red is the color of strength, red is the color of power. I have the strength to kick this habit, day by day, hour by hour.”

Light the black candle. Say, “Black is the color that sends things away, and gives me the strength to kick this today.”

Working between the two candles, mix the cinnamon, ginger and chili powder together, grinding them until they are powdery. Place the charcoal disc in your bowl, and sprinkle the cinnamon mixture on top of it. Light the charcoal.

You should have a nice burning pile of ground herbs now. Slowly tear the cigarette package (without the cellophane) into small pieces. As you tear the paper, close your eyes and visualize the nicotine and tar leaving your body(or for drug addiction, the drug). Picture your lungs(drugs – body) changing from black and icky to pink and healthy.

Place the torn pieces in the bowl with the burning charcoal. Light a match, and place it in there so that the torn cigarette pack begins to burn as well. It may not stay lit, but try to get it to burn a little bit. Say, “I burn what has no control over me. The addiction is gone, and I will be free.”

Light the sage, and smudge the area around your work space. You are cleansing yourself of the effects of the bad habit, and freeing your body and soul from the addiction. Particularly smudge the area over the bowl with the burning cigarette pack in it. Say, “Within me is the strength, no doubt, and with sage I cleanse the air without.”

Place your smudging sage in the bowl as well, and take a moment to reflect. This working is not about the habit itself, but about your rejection of the addiction. Realize that you will physically – and psychologically — no longer need the habit.

Allow everything in the bowl to burn out on its own. If possible, allow the candles to burn out on their own as well.

Thursday’s Witchery

Fantasy ("Dragons, Faries etc....") 2Thursday’s Witchery

Today is the day for prosperity work of all kinds. It can also be used for healing work, whether that is a physical healing of an illness or an emotional healing. Also remember that you have to follow up your healing work and prosperity magick and physical action.

I can’t tell you the number of times I have met new witches who complain to me that their prosperity spell or “I need a better job” spell did not work as they expected. They’ll ramble on and on about how much time and money they spent working their magick….but, alas, they had no glorious manifestion of wealth or fabulous job that suddenly dropped out of the sky and landed in their laps.

Then, when I gently ask them, “Did you enchant your resume or application when you filled it out? Did you do a little confidence-boosting spellwork when you went to apply for the job or went to the interview?” typically they give me a blank, confused stare.

Nine times out of ten, their response is, “You mean I have to go out and actually look for the job too?” Um, yes, my dear, you certainly do. Magick follows the path of least resistance, which means it’s going to manifest along the simplest, quickest route. Get out there and hit the pavement. See what you can find. Times are tough and competition for good jobs is fierce, so you need whatever edge you can get. For folks like us, we’re going to get the edge by using our magick and our spellcraft.

Thursdays have such a rich source of magick for us to draw upon that, honestly, the sky is the limit. This is the day associated with the gods of the sky and heavens, after all. Get to know these deities and add their wisdom and magick into your days

Thursday

By the LakeThursday

Jupiter’s (Thor’s) day

The name is derived from Old English Þūnresdæg and Middle English Thuresday (with loss of -n-, first in northern dialects, from influence of Old Norse Þorsdagr) meaning “Thor’s Day”. Thunor, Donar (German, Donnerstag) and Thor are derived from the name of the Germanic god of thunder, Thunraz, equivalent to Jupiter in the interpretatio romana.

In most Romance languages, the day is named after the Roman god Jupiter, who was the god of sky and thunder. In Latin, the day was known as Iovis Dies, “Jupiter’s Day”. In Latin, the genitive or possessive case of Jupiter was Iovis/Jovis and thus in most Romance languages it became the word for Thursday: Italian giovedì, Spanish jueves, French jeudi, Sardinian jòvia, Catalan dijous, and Romanian joi. This is also reflected in the p-Celtic Welsh dydd Iau.

The astrological and astronomical sign of the planet Jupiter is sometimes used to represent Thursday.

Since the Roman god Jupiter was identified with Thunor (Norse Thor in northern Europe), most Germanic languages name the day after this god: Torsdag in Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish, Hósdagur/Tórsdagur in Faroese, Donnerstag in German or Donderdag in Dutch. Finnish and Northern Sami, both non-Germanic (Uralic) languages, uses the borrowing “Torstai” and “Duorastat”. In the extinct Polabian Slavic language, it was perundan, Perun being the Slavic equivalent of Thor.

There are a number of modern names imitating the naming of Thursday after an equivalent of “Jupiter” in local tradition. In most of the languages of India, the word for Thursday is Guruvar- var meaning day and guru being the style for Bṛhaspati, guru to the gods and regent of the planet Jupiter. In Thai, the word is Wan Pharuehatsabodi – referring to the Hindu deity Bṛhaspati, also associated with Jupiter. En was an old Illyrian deity and in his honor in the Albanian language Thursday is called “Enjte”. In the Nahuatl language, Thursday is Tezcatlipotōnal meaning “day of Tezcatlipoca”.

It is like looking into a mirror.
Our souls seem as one;
Split long ago,
But now reunited alas!

Our power combined
Is untamable and raw.
Our balance of light and dark
Is utterly perfect.

The world is ours to conquer,
And we are coming with a vengeance!
Beware to all to stand in our way!
For we are unstoppable!

A Very Blessed & Beautiful Wednesday Morn’ To All Our Precious Family & Friends!

Merry Meet Pictures

We have a previous engagement and we won’t be able to be with you today.  It has come to my attention that the rest of the world doesn’t keep our hours, lol! We will be back tomorrow (hmm, might need to check the calendar), I promise.

We did have an interesting concern come up in the back and I wanted to address it before we run. The comment was in regards to the Witch Hunts and the Burning Times happening again. I had never stopped to think till  now that some of you might have these same concerns. I have never thought of the Burning Times or Witch Hunts occurring again. I asked the other ladies here and either have they. We all agreed that the world knows we exist. We also agreed that the majority of the world knows we are just like any other individual on this planet. We are not baby-killers nor are we Satan worshippers. We believe in the Divine and we want to have the right to worship the way we see fit. We want to be left alone, live a happy life, and enjoy the beauty of our world that we have been gifted with. We are stewards of this planet and mankind. We are far from evil and that message is getting out.

There are occasions when others try to impose their religious beliefs on everyone. When this happens, we cannot tolerate it. This country was founded on religious freedoms and other basic human rights. When an individual or a group try to infringe on our rights, we cannot afford to be silent. Silence is our enemy. We have to take a stand for what we believe in and for what our ancestors died for. We can never stand idly by, we have to let our voices be heard. We will never again go mildly into the night. Our history has been very bloody but we will not let history repeat itself. We will not stand by and watch while our brothers and sisters suffer and be persecuted for their beliefs. We are a different people now, our ancestors’ spirits have filled our hearts and souls. With our Divine Mother, Almighty Father and ancestors besides us, you can reassured the days of old will never return.

There was one more concern also addressed, it was pertaining to the violence in our country and the world. The United States as well as the rest of the world is in a horrible state of affairs. I believe the individual that wrote, thought I might have an answer to the problem. Unfortunately, I don’t. I wish with all my heart I did. I remember seeing the image of the little boy washed up on the shore in an European state. It broke my heart, what have we become, what? You have refugees running for their lives to escape terror only to face hatred and violence. In our own country, every day there is a shooting or a killing. It seems like now that the Police are the target of everyone’s anger. Has the people stopped to think, who will protect them when the Police are gone. What then, mass chaos in the streets of this once great country.

Our country and the entire world has forgot how sacred life is. The world has turned its back on the Divine. We have forgotten our core beliefs that we were taught since we were children. To stop the violence we once again have to turn back to our religious beliefs. It doesn’t matter whether you are Catholic, Baptist, Wiccan or Witch, we have to turn this country around and back to religion. I am not saying we have to become religious fanatics. I am simply saying we have to instill the belief of the Divine back into our country. Once we do that, the Divine will encompass their lives. Show them how sacred all life is, what a gift it truly is and it is always to be treasured. I know mankind, there will still be killings but perhaps we will reach those who need to hear our words the most. Perhaps we will stop another killing from occurring, save one life. Might not seem like much but once we start spreading our message of the Divine, it will spread like wildfire.

We are the guardians and protectors of mankind. It states we are to assist mankind at anytime needed. We are desperately needed now. The Almighty Goddess has given us the power, the will and the seeds to spread Her message. Let us take Her seeds and spread them across the world. Let Her message be heard. Once the world sees our Divine Mother and all She has to offer, the world will change.

This is the mission we have been tasked with, are you ready to take up your seed bag?

May the Goddess Bless Our World, Our Brothers & Sisters

As we now take up your word and spread it throughout the land.

We ask, Divine Mother, that You shine your love into the hearts

of every man, woman and child on this plane.

Show them Your glory and your love

That we may once again live in peace

and respect our neighbors as we respect ourselves.

End the violence, Divine Mother, let peace reign

Once again for us and future generations to come.

So Mote It Be.

Cauldron Prophecy Magic Spell

Cauldron Prophecy Magic Spell

Purpose: For prophecies to be revealed through dreams, strong impressions or immediate visions.

Fill a cauldron or large, black iron pot half-full of fresh water. Add a handful of Buttercup or Marigold petals. Light incense of Sage (also used for protection) or burn some Thyme. Stir the cauldron/pot gently three times while chanting the magic spell :

Into the threads of time I cast my thoughts
To catch a glimpse of what will be
O Gods of Asgard, bring into my mind
The lovely gift of prophecy

Look deep into the cauldron and you will receive messages.

Black Magic Scrying Spell

Black Magic Scrying Spell

Purpose: To see visions via a Scrying mirror or crystal and to receive spiritual messages.

Procure a clear, round piece of crystal or concave glass. Wash it in sea or salt water to consecrate it. Next, take a vial of black paint and add one pinch of finely powdered St. John’s Wort, then paint the back of the glass or crystal.

While you are painting say the following incantation to the Cabalistic Archangels:

I request that Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel bless this Scry Stone.
I ask that all visions be pure and true!
So mote it be!

Allow the paint to fully dry. Using a Silver candle in a darkened room, gaze into the Scry stone and concentrate on a specific question or person that you require information on.

To break a spell that was cast against you

To break a spell that was cast against you

If you believe that a spell has been cast against you, place a large black candle in a cauldron (or a large black bowl). The candle must be tall enough to extend a few inches above the cauldron’s rim. Affix the candle to the bottom of the cauldron with warmed beeswax or the drippings of another black candle so that it will not tip over. Fill the cauldron to the rim with fresh water, without wetting the candle’s wick. An inch or two of the candle should remain above the water. Deep breathe, meditate, clear your mind, and light the candle. Visualize the suspected spell’s power as residing in the candle’s flame. Sit in quiet contemplation of the candle and visualize the power flowing and growing with the candle’s flame (yes, the power Against you). As the candle burns down, its flame will eventually sputter and go out as it contacts the water. As soon as the flame has been extinguished by the water, the spell will be dispersed. Break your visualization of the spell’s power; see it explode into dust, becoming impotent. Pour the water into a hole in the ground, a lake or stream. Bury the candle. It is done. Spell to Divine the Identity of your True Friends Perform during a full moon, preferably while the moon is in Taurus or Libra. Assemble the following: BASIL (against evil)

LEMON and PEA (friendship)

BAY(psychic ability)

CINNAMON (dreams)

HIBISCUS (divination)

DRAGON’S BLOOD (catalyst)

Place a potted PLANT on the altar (if you are doing this spell after having been betrayed in friendship, use an ALOE plant for healing). If you wish to divine the identity of your friends in a scry or other divination method such as tarot, also have an OBSIDIAN stone on the altar; if you prefer dream divination, use FLUORITE instead. Cast the circle and raise the power. Light a BLUE (truth and friendship) candle. Grind the herbs together; as you do so, imagine their power flowing through your arm into your body. Release the power into the stone you are using. Once you have charged the stone, sacrifice the herbs to the elements by throwing some into the wind, smudging (burning) some in your cauldron, mixing some with water and pouring it away, and finally burying the rest in your potted plant. Then if you used the obsidian, scry in its surface or have it with you as you perform some other divination. If you used the fluorine, wear it to bed that night and you will dream about your friends. Remember to record your dream so you can contemplate it more fully! Once your magickal workings are complete, bind the spell, earth the power and uncast the circle…

Protection From Negative Energies

Protection From Negative Energies

Herbal Sachet recipe and Empowering Sachet

1 tsp. dried Anise seed (any kind of Anise)

1 1/2 tsp. dried whole Cloves

petals of 1 small dried red Rose

2 tsp. dried Rosemary

6 dried Bay leaves

9 inch by 9 inch square white cotton cloth

6 inch purple cord or yarn

Mix all ingredients well, then place into the center of white cloth in a pile. Bring each corner up to the center one at a time, in a clockwise motion. when all corners are up and touching, there will be four folds sticking out. In a clockwise motion, bring the corners of these folds to the center as well. Take the purple cord or yarn and wrap it around the cloth 3 times, just above the high spot of the herbs. Tie three knots, and let the ends hang.

Empowering the Sachet

Sit in a quiet place, preferably outdoors, and hold the sachet cupped in your hands. Close your eyes and imaging a white traveling through your arms and into the sachet. Feel safety, feel protected. See yourself standing surrounded by a white light. See it coming from the sachet. Empower the sachet once a week, and make a new sachet once a month. Continue using the sachet until you feel that you no longer need it. All the ingredients can be found at your local grocery store except for the dried rose and the cloth and cord. Find or buy a red rose and hang it upside down by the stem for 3 days in a warm, dry place to dry.

Negativity Releasing Spell

Negativity Releasing Spell

You will need:

1 obsidian (should be at least 1″)

1 rose quartz (size doesn’t matter here)

This is well done during the waning (dark) of the moon, but any time will work. You will want to do this when you are at home alone or somewhere where a great deal of noise will not attract undue attention. Hold the obsidian in your right hand (assuming that your right hand is your power hand….). Begin to think on your negativity and its roots. Trace it as far back as you can.

*NOTE* Do not try to analyze the whys and wherefores of this….do not feel guilty for feeling angry at anyone person or thing….let yourself be mad! Feel all your anger and sadness and depression and guilt and all other emotions begin to boil. Let yourself get really mad! Scream if you want to, just do what ever it takes to emotionally explode! As you are doing this…focus all of this outgoing force into the stone. Do not worry about harming the stone….obsidians absorb negative energies. When you feel you are ’empty’ of the pain, throw the obsidian as far from you as you possibly can.

*NOTE* if you are inside, it is best not to throw stones. Place it in a brown paper sack and toss it in a river later. Now, turn your back on the stone. Don’t worry about someone else finding it and getting all your stuff….the obsidian will leach it back into the Earth and it will be transformed. Of course, you don’t want to retrieve the stone. Once you have turned your back….take a deep breath. Place the rose quartz in your receiving hand (left, if you are right handed). Sit down, lie down…get comfy. Think about the colour of the quartz in your hand. Remember that everything has a purpose.Remind yourself that this rose quartz is a physical representation of your heart and pour love into it. Tell it all your loves and dreams and hopes. When you are done, place the rose quartz in a safe spot.

Banishing Spell

Banishing Spell

(to be done on the dark of the moon)

Ingredients: paper, pen and ink, two mirrors, black thread, candles (black or white), salt water; myrrh oil mixed with comfrey, hemp, dwale (deadly nightshade), thyme, mullein, or any three of these herbs.

Procedure: Write or draw on the paper what you would banish. Charge it with the full force of your repulsion. Anoint with oil, then with salt water, in the form of a waning moon. Fold the paper and place between two mirrors, with the reflecting sides facing IN. Bind them securely together with black thread or yarn and drip candle wax around the edges to seal. While you do this, envision the energy which emanates from the object of your spell being bounced back on itself, unable to pass the barriers you have set up around it. Say…

” Your eyes are shut, your cord is cut, go back to the Mother with Death as your lover. So mote it be.”

Take the spell to a place where it will not be disturbed and bury it, saying…

“By night your eyes are blinded, by clay your ears are stopped, by earth your mouth is sealed, by rock your limbs are bound; Thus I lay you down to rest, still and silent in the ground. As I do will, so mote it be.”

When you have finished the burial, kneel on the ground and say…

“By all the power of three times three, may this spell harm no other nor return to me As I do will, so mote it be.”

Banishing Spell

Banishing Spell

To be performed during the waning moon. The purpose of this spell is to rid yourself of negative influences. If you feel someone is exerting negative energy, you can banish that energy with a spell similar to this one.

Tools needed:

heatproof container or cauldron

black or white candle

basil or garlic (for uncrossing, protection)

paper, and a black pen

Cast the circle Invoke the Gods and Goddesses that you usually call upon to assist you Statement of Purpose: I am here to banish negative influences from my life. Right now, (name) is exerting an extremely negative force upon me. I ask for the God and Goddess to assist me in banishing these forces and eliminating his/her destructiveness.

Consecrate the cauldron as follows: Sprinkle with salt water and recite “In the name of the Lord and Lady, I charge you to serve me within this circle. I clear you of all former influences and energies that you may be fit for the workings of magick again.” Do the same with the candle. On a piece of paper, write the full name of the person to be banished. Roll it up and tie it with a black string. Sprinkle with salt water and recite: “Thou creature of paper, by paper made by paper changed. Thou art not paper, but negative influences in (name). So mote it be!” Light the black candle. Burn the paper in the candle, visualizing all negative power over you vanishing in the flames and rising out of your world with the smoke. Sprinkle basil and garlic over the flames and recite: “Blazing force of cleansing fire, help me in this rite. By air and earth, water and fire, so be you bound with this rite! Your power takes flight Sky and sea, keep harm from me. Cord go round, power be bound, your negativity will no longer come my way. From henceforth, your power over me is banished. So mote it be!” Let the paper burn itself out while you visualize a healthy, positive relationship with the person. Cakes and ale (eating bread or drinking wine or juice to restore energy spent during ritual). Thank the God and Goddess. Release the circle.

Simple Binding Spell

Simple Binding Spell

For this binding, you will need some heavy paper or cardboard, a dull-colored yarn (such as a dreary grey or muted red), and a black candle. It is best done during a waning moon, or during the Dark Moon. Draw and cut-out a basic human shape. A gingerbread man-type of shape will work fine. When you have the shape cut out, draw features on it to resemble the person you wish to bind. You can use markers, crayons, pencils… whatever you feel comfortable using. Form a mental image of the person as you draw his/her features. Pay attention to details such as clothing and any particular identifiers such as glasses, scars, etc. Focus your intent as you draw, concentrating on why you need this person to leave you alone. When you have the figure completed, fold it in half length-wise, with the features turned in. Light the black candle and sit for a few minutes, holding the folded figure. Gaze at the candle flame and concentrate on the black candle absorbing all the negativity this person has caused in your life. If you have hatred or anger for this person, throw it into the candle and ask that it be taken away.Using the yarn and slowly, with much concentration and visualization, wrap it tightly around the figure, chanting quietly as suits your needs. Name the image as you chant. For example, if you wish an abusive ex-spouse to leave you alone, so you might chant: “You are (person’s name). You have no power over me anymore. You will leave me alone.” Call on any patron deities you might have, especially those who are protective, and ask Their help. Build the power with your chanting as you wrap the figure over and over. When the figure is completely wrapped, thrust all your power into it. Know that this person cannot do harm to you or anyone else. Hold the bound figure over the candle (but not touching the flame!) and say…

“(Person’s name), I bind you in the name of the Lord and Lady. You can not harm me. You can not harm my family. You can not harm yourself. You are bound by my will; so mote it be!”

Place the bound figure in a safe place — perhaps your magickal cabinet or at the bottom of a dresser drawer — and leave it alone. Know that you are safe from the negative intentions of the person you have bound. It is done. If necessary, renew the spell at each full cycling of the Moon by taking the bound figure out and charging it again over a fresh black candle.

A Spell of Binding

A Spell of Binding

Get a large white candle, the kind that drips wax, and set it up on a tray. Affix to it a photograph or other image of the person you wish to bind. Make a ring of sea salt around it. Make a second ring with protective herbs. Fill the rest of the tray with images that represent what you are binding the person from: pictures of your family, keys to your house, legal documents, whatever. If the problem is too complex for images, write what the person is bound from on slips of paper and place them around the candle. Papyrus, or paper made from cotton or linen work best for this. Use red ink if you are angry, purple ink if you are sad. Wrap the candle and the image with black thread. Say out loud what you are binding the person from. Light the candle and leave it burn until the wax begins to drip over the thread and image. Burn it every day for a week, until the image is thick with wax. Use this as a meditation device to direct your will to binding the person

A Simple Binding Spell

A Simple Binding Spell

Items Needed:

Picture of the person doing harm

String or ribbon

Spell: Take the string or ribbon and start rapping it around the persons picture and repeat I bind you (person’s name) from doing harm against yourself and against others repeat this over and over until the whole picture is covered then a spell will be cast on this person from doing harm! When this is complete, you have three option for the picture:

1. Put it in a bottle, fill with water and freeze.

2. Throw it in a body of water that is moving away from you.

3. Sew it into a poppet
