Moon Alert
There are no restrictions to shopping or important decisions today. The Moon is in Libra.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Later today is a marvellous time to schmooze with others. You will enjoy talking to partners and close friends because you have something to say. In turn, someone older or more experienced might have advice for you. This is a great day to exchange ideas.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
This is a good money day for you. It’s a solid day for financial negotiations, especially dealing with bosses and people in charge. Support from coworkers will be there for you as well. Whatever you do will have positive repercussions in the future; furthermore, people will approve of your decisions.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Today the Sun in your sign is dancing nicely with the Moon and Saturn, which will give you a fine sense of balance. You will have support and confidence in anything you want to do. In other words, you’re in the zone! Go for baroque!
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Despite the fact that you are ambitious, today you feel a bit laid-back. (And if you are working, you’re working low key and behind the scenes.) Nevertheless, family discussions will be productive, especially if you need practical and financial support from someone.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
This is a popular day for you! Enjoy schmoozing with others. Stay in contact with friends. Interactions with groups, clubs, classes and conferences will be upbeat and positive. Because of this high, positive energy, you will be enthusiastic about entertaining new goals.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You make a great impression on others today, which is why you will be successful particularly at work and in financial dealings. You might also pursue potential plans for the future regarding travel because you have a strong urge to get outta Dodge.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Today the Moon is in your sign dancing nicely with the Sun and Saturn. This favours group activities and promotes opportunities to do whatever you want to do. You’ll have a sober realistic view of things, plus, the patience and fortitude to deal with whatever comes your way.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Act on opportunities to wrap up matters related to taxes, debt, shared property and insurance issues because you will be successful handling these matters. Perhaps you will do something to help solidify your home base? One thing is certain: whatever you do will be practical and sensible.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Today someone might have wise advice for you, perhaps someone who is older or more experienced. However, it’s entirely possible that you are the wise Sage dispensing advice to others. Take note: whatever happens might affect your thoughts about future goals. Remember Richard Bach: “Argue for your limitations, and they’re yours.”
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Today you are high viz., but this is probably a good thing because people will admire you. You’re ready to work hard, and you will do whatever is practical and economical to get the job done. You have a lot of common sense today, which others will notice.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Act on your wish to travel or at least, make travel plans today because you will be successful in dealing with the necessary details and red tape. It’s a particularly good day to think about future vacations. It’s also a good time to teach children some practical life skills.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
Family discussions will be solid today. Listen to someone older in the family because this is a good day for practical, no-nonsense discussions about what is actually doable. Someone will be ready to lend practical assistance or financial help. (After all, this is a good money year for you.)
If Your Birthday Is Today
Actor Michael J Fox (1961) shares your birthday today. You are charming, witty, articulate, playful and entertaining. You are also intelligent and very curious. Although you are very charismatic, you have a serious side. You love to learn. This is a more playful, fun-loving year for you. Enjoy socializing! Rekindle old friendships. You might find yourself in the public eye.
June 9, 2022 Current Moon Phase Digest

You can use this link to go forward or backward in time for Moon phase information. If you are curious, you can even find out what phase the Moon was in when you or anyone else was born.
From MoonGiant.com
The Moon’s current phase for today and tonight is a Waxing Gibbous phase. This phase is when the moon is more than 50% illuminated but not yet a Full Moon. The phase lasts about 7 days with the moon becoming more illuminated each day until the Full Moon. During a Waxing Gibbous the moon rises in the east in mid-afternoon and is high in the eastern sky at sunset. The moon is then visible through most of the night sky setting a few hours before sunrise. The word Gibbous first appeared in the 14th century and has its roots in the Latin word “gibbosus” meaning humpbacked.

Some of the Witchcraft/Magickal Correspondence Digest for Thursday
From lightwarriorslegion.com
| Use this day to cast spells for wealth, success, business, luck, health, protection, legal matters, male fertility, money, desires and laughter. | Jupiter | Blue. Additionally: Purple | Zeus and Thor. Gods of thunder |
Spell for Today – SPELL FOR REMOVING ENVY AND JEALOUSY
You will need:
raw steak
cocoa butter
eggshells
cigar
white dish towel
brown paper bag
four pennies
This spell is very effective for removing envy and jealousy.
This spell is used to protect yourself from those who have nots who would seek to destroy your good fortune by placing the evil eye on you. The spell must be performed on a Thursday night. A Thursday that falls on or shortly after the new moon is best.
This spell is used to ask for the blessing and protection of Obatala. S/he is considered the highest and purest of all the Yoruban deities. Obtala’s day is Thursday, and all ingredients in this spell are sacred to Obatala.
Take a raw piece of meat and rub completely with cocoa butter and crushed eggshells. Light a cigar and carefully place the lit end in your mouth. Blow smoke over the entire steak. Roll up the meat in white fabric and pass across your whole body from top to bottom. This should be done skyclad. Dress yourself afterward and place the cloth with meat in a paper bag.Place four pennies in the bag. Fold up the bag and throw out in the trash outside of your house.
In the olden days the meat was thrown in the street where an old stray dog might eat it. The dog would then take your troubles away.

Cosmic Clouds in Cygnus
Image Credit & Copyright: Wolfgang Zimmermann
Explanation: These cosmic clouds of gas and dust drift through rich star fields along the plane of our Milky Way Galaxy toward the high flying constellation Cygnus. They’re too faint to be seen with the unaided eye though, even on a clear, dark night. Image data from a camera and telephoto lens using narrowband filters was used to construct this 10 degree wide field of view. The deep mosaic reveals a region that includes star forming dust clouds seen in silhouette against the characteristic glow of atomic hydrogen and oxygen gas. NGC 6888 is the standout emission nebula near the top. Blown by winds from an massive Wolf-Rayet star it’s about 25 light-years across and known as the Crescent Nebula. A faint bluish curl just below center in the frame is also the signature of a Wolf-Rayet star. Burning fuel at a prodigious rate and near the end of their stellar lives, both stars will ultimately go out with a bang in a spectacular supernova explosion. Toward the right, a massive, young O type star powers the glow of Sh2-101, the Tulip Nebula.

June 8 World Oceans Day
Today is: World Oceans Day
JOIN US
This year’s United Nations World Oceans Day, on 8 June 2022, will highlight the theme Revitalization: Collective Action for the Ocean.
This is the first hybrid celebration of the annual event, hosted in-person at the UN Headquarters in New York and broadcast live.
The ocean connects, sustains, and supports us all. Yet its health is at a tipping point and so is the well-being of all that depends on it. As the past years have shown us, we need to work together to create a new balance with the ocean that no longer depletes its bounty but instead restores its vibrancy and brings it new life.
Join us as we shed light on the communities, ideas, and solutions that are working together to protect and revitalize the ocean and everything it sustains.
UN World Oceans Day 2022 is Hosted by the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea, Office of Legal Affairs, with the generouse contribution of Oceanic Global, which is made possible by La Mer.
Gardening by June’s 2022 Moon Phases – Printable

Please read this first:
1) Moon Phase x Moon Zodiac Sign:
Please keep in mind, that Gardening by Moon Phase and Gardening by Moon Zodiac Sign are two different/independent biodynamic systems and they might give you different or contradictiory gardening recommendations.
- a) Each Moon Phase (except Full Moon and New Moon) lasts about 1 week
- b) Each Moon Zodiac Sign lasts about 2.5 days
Try to experiment with these two systems to find which recommendations suits you the most.
2) Tropical (Astrological) x Sidereal (Astronomical) Zodiac:
(1-2 days difference in Leaf, Fruit, Root and Flower days)
There are two different zodiacs for determining the Moon Sign:
- a) Tropical zodiac (Astrological) is based on the seasons – Vernal Equinox is fixed as 0° Aries (The 1st Fruit day)
- b) Sidereal zodiac (Astronomical) takes into account Precession of Equinoxes and shifts 0° Aries back by cca 1-2 days. Maria Thun who was an authority on biodynamics was using this Sidereal zodiac
Try to experiment also with these two zodiac systems to find which system suits you better.

Moon Alert
Avoid shopping or important decisions from 8 AM to 12 noon EDT today (5 AM to 9 AM PDT). After that, the Moon moves from Virgo into Libra.
Aries (March 21-April 19)
This is a marvellous, productive day for you. (By all means, do get out of bed.) You’re full of moneymaking ideas and ways to promote your earnings. Coworkers might help you. You might also see new uses for something that you own. This is a strong day for you!
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
This is a powerful day for Earth Signs in particular (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn). You will enjoy social outings as well as sports events and playful activities with children. Because you’re in a creative frame of mind, you might see ways to put a new spin on something.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Use today’s energy to do research or look for answers to old problems or solutions to bothersome situations because you will likely be successful. Plus, with the Sun in your sign, things will tend to go your way and people are likely to help you.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
You will be powerful today when talking to others, especially friends and groups, meetings or classes. People will listen to you because you will speak with confidence and authority. Nevertheless, later in the day, you might choose to “hide” at home. “Enuff awreddy.”
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Today, especially this morning, is a strong time for you to speak to bosses, parents and authority figures about what you want because they will listen to you. Admittedly, they too, will be very direct in their communications. You might see ways to improve your job or your health.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Today begins with the Moon in your sign dancing powerfully with Mercury and Pluto. Even after the Moon changes signs, you will still be in the zone to make things happen, especially financially or regarding making travel plans and studying. Good day to get things done!
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Today you might have some excellent ideas about how to use the resources of others including the government, banks or your partner’s assets to make improvements at home or in your personal life. After the Moon moves into your sign, you will be more empowered to go after what you want.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Expect to have dynamic conversations with others today – your friends, partners, spouses and even members of the general public. You will express yourself forcefully and so will they. Hopefully, this will be in the interests of getting things done.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
This is a good day to focus on how to improve your job, your health or even how you take care of your pet. Look for ways to do things better, because let’s face it, there is no end to better. There is always room for improvement.

This is a busy, productive day for you. Short trips, errands and appointments will flow smoothly. Admittedly, during the Moon Alert, you might encounter a few speed bumps or delays. Nevertheless, you will be very convincing talking to others today – no question.

Spell for Today – Walk Backwards Return Spell and Concentrate Candle Spell
Wednesday is a good day to focus on getting over any slumps you may have. This day is considered the middle of the work week; and many people find themselves very tired by this point. That is why this day is a great day to do refresh, refrain, return, wake-up, and concentration spells. It is, also, another good day for meditation.
Walk Backwards Return Spell
Things you will need:
1 candle (any color)
1 lighter or match
Your body
Place a candle in front of you on a fire-safe surface. Sit or stand in a comfortable position in front of the candle and close your eyes for about three minutes. During the three minutes, think about what you want returned to you and how that item makes you feel. After the three minutes or so, get up and take twelve steps backwards and say this chant three times:
“Backwards walk.
Missing something yearned.
When I turn around,
It will be returned.”
After doing this, turn around three times, clockwise, and stop. Now, go blow out the candle, and your item should be returned to you soon.
Concentrate Candle Spell
Items needed:
1 small white candle
1 small blue candle
1 orange candle
Take all three candles and place them on a fire-proof surface in front of you. Light both candles. Take three deep breaths. Lightly tap your forehead with one of your fingers for a minute or so. You should feel a slight tingly sensation on your forehead. Now, look at the three candles and say this chant three times:
“I have the time.
I have the wait.
This should help me concentrate.
When it’s white And it’s blue,
It will start my mind a new.”
After you have finished, blow out the candles. From this point on, when you have problems concentrating, think of those white, blue, and orange candles, and the tingle in your forehead; and your mind should be better able to concentrate.

Ship Tracks over the Pacific Ocean
Image Credit: NASA, Terra, MODIS; Text: Raymond Shaw (MTU)
Explanation: What are those unusual streaks? Some images of planet Earth show clear bright streaks that follow the paths of ships. Known as ship tracks, these low and narrow bands are caused by the ship’s engine exhaust. Water vapor condenses around small bits of exhaust known as aerosols, which soon grow into floating water drops that efficiently reflect sunlight. Ship tracks were first discovered in 1965 in Earth images taken by NASA’s TIROS satellites. Multiple ship tracks are visible across the featured image that was captured in 2009 over the Pacific Ocean by the MODIS instrument on NASA’s Terra satellite. Inspired by ship-tracks, some scientists have suggested deploying a network of floating buoys in the worlds’ oceans that spray salt-aerosol containing sea-water into the air so that, with the help of the wind, streams of sunlight-reflecting clouds would also form. Why do this? These human-made clouds could reflect so much sunlight they might help fight global warming.
