This is a dreamy, romantic week with new romance and flirtations in the air! Not only that, existing romance will be refreshed with affection. Nevertheless, sober news: At the beginning of the year, I mentioned that Pluto is now in Aquarius for the next 20 years; and the last time this occurred was in the late 1700s during the French and the American Revolutions. This week we have another astrological event to consider: Neptune enters Aries to stay for 14 years. The last time Neptune was in Aries was from 1865 to 1877 – the time of the American Civil War. On a brighter note, Neptune in Aries gave birth to Impressionism, which ultimately led to Surrealism. I think Groucho Marx had a grasp on Surrealism when he said, “Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana.”

Aries (March 21-April 19)

It’s all about you, dear Aries! The Sun is in Aries for the next four weeks. (This happens only once a year.) Plus, Mercury and Venus are retrograde in Aries, which means ex-partners, ex-spouses and friends from the past are popping up in your world. Travel delays, goofy communications and silly errors are happening. Special beauty treatments or efforts to expand your wardrobe might be frustrated or delayed. But the big news is that for the first time in your life, Neptune enters your sign this week magnifying your idealism and psychic awareness. You will become more compassionate. Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

However, you might feel frustrated or confused about your long-term direction. Certainly, your idealism is aroused – but how to best use these ideals? Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Lucky Leos are enjoying turquoise waters and white sands or fascinating cities with winding, cobblestone streets. This is because Leos need a change of scenery for two reasons: On one hand, you want adventure and a chance to be stimulated with new knowledge and new experiences. In the Northern Hemisphere, this is Spring (the vernal equinox) when the Sun crosses the equator giving us equal hours for day and night. As such, this is the perfect week to define future ambitions and strategize how to reach your objectives. Get proactive! However, (yeah, there’s always a catch) because both Mercury and Venus are retrograde right now – don’t just concentrate on building your future. It’s equally important to reckon with the past and start to clean up old messes especially with romance or negative thought patterns. A little mantra I like: “If you’re not enjoying yourself this minute, then you’re wasting your time.”

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Well, there’s no time like the pleasant. This week the Sun enters your sign to initiate the Astrological New Year and your birthday! Obviously, birthdays are classic times to set goals. Today it finally moves to 18 degrees to stay for six days; then to 19 degrees for four days, and then 20 degrees for three days – you get the picture. Mars is finally moving forward! (Relative to planet Earth.) Meanwhile, in another part of the celestial heavens, the shadow phase of Mercury retrograde begins today, which means if you want to buy a car, truck, computer, cell phone or hi-tech equipment – wait until April 7 when Mercury retrograde is over. Wisest of all is to wait until April 27 when the shadow phase is over, then you’re really in the clear. Of course, are we ever in the clear? Ripened on the vine and jet fresh? (Do not trifle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.)

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Opposing influences are at play for you this week. In one way, you want to be low-key. You might want to hide at home. You feel serious about your financial security and your duties and obligations. This year Mercury goes retrograde three times. The first time is from March 15 to April 7, which means we can expect transportation problems, transit delays, late deliveries, mixed-up communications, misplaced items, equipment breakdowns, and people from the past popping up. On the upside, this is an excellent time to finish old projects, study the past and get a better understanding of our own personal history. Because there’s a shadow phase before and after each retrograde — be smart and avoid buying ground transportation, technology, computers and cell phones between March 8 – April 27. (Gulp.) Yes, Mercury retrograde has benefits and drawbacks. It’s like when one door closes and another door opens, which probably means you’re in prison.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Heads up! This is a lively week! Admittedly, the Sun is still hiding in your chart, which means you’re happy to work alone or behind the scenes. Nevertheless, on Monday, busy Mercury enters your sign, making you be eager to express your point of view to others. Your mind will be busy, and you’ll have a strong urge to get out and be on the go. “Shops must be visited. Money must be spent!” But lo!
