This week Mercury goes retrograde, which means 2022 ends with this influence and 2023 begins with Mercury retrograde as well. The last time this happened was in the year ending in 2016, and before that in 2009. This week will be a time of reflection and contemplation. We will look back at the turmoil and challenges we have survived. Although this might introduce a melancholic note, it’s actually an opportunity to do an emotional and intellectual cleanse. It’s the ideal time to put things in perspective. We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are. When I look back through the years – I realize I was shorter and I weighed less.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This week you will think more about your relationships with your parents and bosses and the authority figures in your past. You might also think about the dreams you had for your life direction and where you wanted to head. You will see goals that you achieved and some that you didn’t. You might feel thoughtful about where you are now at this stage in your life. Nevertheless, you are ending this year, and beginning the new year, with lucky Jupiter in your sign, which is something that can happen only once every 12 years. This means this is a very fortunate transition for you. Instead of focusing on the past, focus on all the possibilities that lay ahead of you for your future. Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This week is a mixed bag between dealing with days that feel energetic and productive (like Monday); and days where your energy is flagging and you want to sleep in or hide (like Tuesday). However, for the most part, this week, you will want to socialize, goof off and schmooze with others because the underlying theme is one of festive preparation! “More eggnog, anyone?” In my family, for the first time ever, we have decided not to exchange Christmas gifts this year. (We’re going to rob the neighbours.) Not even stockings. (!) This is a major shift. If anyone wants to give a gift, it has to be food or drink — chocolates, nuts, wine, olive oil, that sort of thing. Frankly, I’m glad. So many gifts might be novel but they’re rarely used. Less focus on consumerism – more focus on eating. (Something tells me that in January, I’ll have to let out another pleat in my shower curtain.)

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You begin this week with ideas about travel plans or ideas to enrich your life through further training and education because you’re eager to expand your horizons! Admittedly, you might have second thoughts and renegotiate these plans, but ultimately, you will make plans for something because you’re a doer. You like to think you’ve got something on the books to look forward to. Innovative, original ideas to make money, perhaps a discussion with a boss or someone in authority, will interest you later in the week. Perhaps a parent or a boss will surprise you with an idea that leads to increased earnings? You’re feeling lucky; and so you should be because Jupiter will return to your sign on Tuesday, Dec. 20th. This week we have a Full Moon in Gemini that will line up with retrograde Mars on Wednesday. This will trigger a buildup of tension on Monday and Tuesday as we approach that Full Moon. (Every month, problems intensify before the Full Moon; and afterwards, they diminish or disappear.) But this week, because of the influence of retrograde Mars, we might feel anger and revenge about past hurts. All that sulky stuff. A wise teacher once told me when you hold on to a grudge, it’s like holding on to a hot pot with both hands. You are the one who gets hurt. (I know this is true; nevertheless, I keep oven mitts in every room of the house.)

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You are fast-moving, fast-acting. In fact, you’re so fast, you often blurt out something without thinking. Be smart this week because the Full Moon on Wednesday could trip you up. Earlier in the week, you might feel tension building up. Perhaps a past resentment about something? Annoyed feelings might permeate your thoughts, which means you could say something you later regret. It might create an argument with a neighbour, sibling or relative. It could trigger an accident while jogging, biking or driving. Hey, you don’t need this. (What you need is a of scenery!) Be smart and remind yourself to think twice before you respond. This way you’ll have no regrets.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Keep your eyes open this week because as I’ve mentioned before, you are the financial wizard of the zodiac; and this week, the Full Moon on Wednesday will set up a dynamic tension between both your Money Houses. In fact, this tension will build on Monday and Tuesday. It might pertain to difficulties in getting a mortgage, or a loan, or paying bills, taxes or debt. It might be a threat to your earnings. It is definitely an indication of financial angst. The thing to know is that things will look worse before the Full Moon peaks on Wednesday night. Then afterwards – they will improve! Money will come your way. Therefore, wait until Thursday or Friday to make financial decisions because things will look much better.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You might feel old resentments about inheritances or how something was divided or that you didn’t get your fair share. (We’ve all been there.) Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

This week the only Full Moon that is opposite your sign all year will be taking place. This will trigger tension between you and others, especially those who are closest to you. It will create an energy that builds up before the Full Moon peaks on Wednesday night. Be aware of this and be patient with yourself and others because why get your belly in a rash? Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

With the Sun, Moon, and Mercury in Sagittarius, this a lovely week for teamwork, networking and socializing! It’s the perfect time to catch up with old friends and enjoy fun outings and romantic dates. People will be optimistic, open-minded and adventurous. We will want to travel, explore, and learn new things because Sagittarians are truth seekers. Obviously, one should always tell the truth, unless asked “Am I too fat?” Nevertheless, there is the Law of the Lie: “No matter how often the lie is shown to be false, there will still remain a percentage of people who believe it to be true.” (Are these the people for whom lying is simply talking?)

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Grab every chance to travel in the next four weeks because you want to get outta Dodge! You need a change of scenery! And you need stimulation and adventure! Fortunately, the heavens will help you fulfil these wishes so start packing. This is also the perfect time for study and education, because you want to learn more about the world, especially by talking to people who have different interests and beliefs from yours.
