Repeating A Spell

REPEATING A SPELL

People often want to cast a spell again to increase the effect. For the most part, spells aren’t cumulative. There’s a danger that in drawing energy toward you as you raise power, you might very well pull the energy you’ve already sent out right back to you.

However, if you plan it ahead of time, you can structure your spell to maintain a sustained flow of energy by spreading it out over a specific number of days.

There are two ways of approaching this. First, you can plan to repeat a spell according to a determined cycle of time such as lunar or solar phase. For example, every third day after the new moon you might do a house cleansing spell, or a spell for inspiration at dawn for nine days, or a spell to increase your courage every Tuesday for a month. Second, you can do a single spell over a series of consecutive days. A spell like this might involve marking seven equal sections on a green candle with your fingernail, then burning one section each night for seven nights, while meditating on improved finances.

The difference between performing spells this way, and just doing it again to increase the effect, is how you think of it. These sequenced spells are deliberately performed one after the other as a unit. The spell is technically not finished until you have performed the specified actions on the last day. In spells such as this, if the sequence is broken, you have to start all over again at the beginning.

Moon Alert

Avoid shopping or making important decisions from 5:15 PM to 7:30 PM EST today (2:15 PM to 4:30 PM PST). After that, the Moon moves from Gemini into Cancer.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This is a classic day for squabbles with others, especially someone older or a member of a group. You have strong feelings about something and won’t hesitate to speak up. Perhaps this is related to shared property, or how something is fairly (or unfairly) divided?

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This is a poor day to ask anyone in a position of authority for a favour or for permission. Knowing this ahead of time can save you some grief. Nevertheless, you have strong feelings about finances today. Perhaps you want to buy something?

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Today the Moon is in your sign lined up with Mars, which can make you feel a bit irritable and quick to fly off the handle. (You will certainly not back down from a fight!) Meanwhile back at the ranch, a dispute with someone older might take place where you work, probably about racial issues, politics or religion. Stay cool.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You are off your game today, which is why you feel easily annoyed. Be aware of this and don’t make a big deal about something. Children might be an increased responsibility today or you might have difficulty dealing with rules, regulations and restrictions.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Family friction might take place today. Perhaps there’s a disagreement with a friend or a group to which you belong? Someone older or in a position of authority might not approve of your goals? Remember to listen as much as you talk.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Be aware that you are high viz., which means people notice you more than usual today. Therefore, if you get into a public argument with a neighbour, relative or sibling, it will be obvious for all to see. (You might want to think twice about this.)

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Financial restrictions related to a social outing, a vacation or the cost of taking care of children might make you grumpy today. You also have strong feelings about political and racial matters. Take a moment to catch your breath. You have to process what is happening. Don’t just react.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Today you might feel repressed or restricted. Perhaps you have heavy duties and responsibilities? Relations with authority figures might be tough. Whatever the case, you feel world-weary and discouraged. Remember: Good things end, and so do bad things.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

An argument with a close friend or partner might become heated today. Perhaps both of you have strong opinions about something? Or possibly, you have attracted an argumentative person to you? Very likely, this will upset you. (Hey, this is just a temporary dark cloud on your horizon.)

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You’re keen to work hard today because you want to accomplish something. Whatever it is, it’s something that you have a personal stake in. Meanwhile, discussions with a friend or perhaps a member of a group might discourage you. Accept what is.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a tough day to deal with authority figures. It’s a poor day to ask for permission or approval for anything. Meanwhile, the promise of social fun, romance and entertaining outings depends on your mood. What’s it going to be?

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Avoid discussions about politics, religion and racial issues today because they will be a bummer. You’ll feel depressed or shutdown in some manner. In fact, issues at home or within the family are a bit volatile, which means you have to practice patience. Be smart.

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio (1974) shares your birthday today. You are sensual, passionate and charming. You often get your own way because you are so attractive to others. This year has been a year of fresh beginnings and an exciting pace for you because this is your first year in a new nine-year cycle. Stay light on your feet. Be ready to open any door!

Spells for Today

For many, Friday is the last work day of the week. It’s considered the fifth day of the work week and, also, the “cut loose” day. By Friday night, people are out having a party. That makes Friday the perfect day for lust, banish, fast-grant, and find spells. This day is so powerful (energy wise). That’s why whatever you do on this day will, usually, have a strong effect. If you want things out of your life, the darkness and power, associated with this day, bring the energy you need for that. If you need strong, immediate results, this is your day, as well.

Lust Spell – Hair on Stick Lust Spell

Items you will need:

3 strands of hair
1 comb or brush
1 small stick
1 tube of red paint
1 bottle of glue

Spell:

Find a small stick and paint it red. While the paint is drying, comb through your hair and take three strands from your comb or brush. After the paint on the stick is dry, cover the stick in glue. Then, wrap the three strands of hair around the stick and let the glue dry.
Now, say this chant:
“I’ve wrapped up my passion.
I’ve wrapped up my lust.
I’m ready for it to come out.
I’m ready to trust
My desires and my will,
So the Universe can make it real.”
Put the stick under your bed, and your desires should could true.

Fast-Grant Spell – Money Grant Quick Spell

Items needed for this spell:

1 quarter
1 sheet of paper
1 pen or pencil

Spell:

Close your eyes and think about how much money you need and how fast you need it. When you are ready, open your eyes. On the left side of the paper, trace around a quarter. Then, trace a quarter on the right side. Draw a line from one quarter to the other.
Say these words:
“Point A,
To point B
Money come fast.
Money come quickly”
Fold up the paper and put it in a coat pocket. Very soon, you should receive some money.

Find Spells – Help Me Find Spell

Items you will need:

1 small white candle
1 small blue candle
1 lighter or match

Spell:

Set the two candles in front of you, close your eyes and think about what you have lost and how much you want it returned. Light both candles and say this chant three times:
“Blue candle is my love and devotion for ____________.
And how much I need ____________ back,
Safe and sound. _____________ was lost,
But I hope ________________ will be found.
White candle is for _________________’ s safe return,
While heading on my track.”
When you are done, blow out the candles. You may wake-up one morning and be shocked by the return of your lost item.

World’s Oldest Complete Star Map, Lost for Millennia, Found Inside Medieval Manuscript

Scholars may have just discovered a fragment of the world’s oldest complete star map.

The map segment, which was found beneath the text on a sheet of medieval parchment, is thought to be a copy of the long-lost star catalog of the second century B.C. Greek astronomer Hipparchus, who made the earliest known attempt to chart the entire night sky. The fragment was concealed beneath nine leaves, or folios, of the religious Codex Climaci Rescriptus at St. Catherine’s Monastery in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.

The codex is a palimpsest, meaning the original writings have been scraped from their parchment to make way for a collection of Christian Palestinian Aramaic texts telling stories from the Old and New Testaments. The researchers thought that even earlier Christian texts were buried beneath the pages, but multispectral imaging revealed something more surprising: numbers stating, in degrees, the length and width of the constellation Corona Borealis and coordinates for the stars located at its farthest corners. The researchers published their findings Oct. 18 in the Journal for the History of Astronomy .

“I was very excited from the beginning,” study lead researcher Victor Gysembergh , a science historian at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in Paris, told Nature . “It was immediately clear we had star coordinates.”

The researchers’ excitement grew when the precise coordinates enabled them to estimate the date when the coordinates were written down — roughly 129 B.C. when…

A Laugh for Today

I really wish I could take a nap but both hemisphere’s tomorrow posts need to be done. I also have to go clean a friend’s house for some extra money. One plus I have dinner made and, in the refrigerator, with the dishes from preparing the tuna/peas/noddle salad washed. So far, my fibromyalgia flare and arthritis are not any worse than they have been all week but that might be due to change as it is 30 degrees cooler today from yesterday. I am just going to take life one hour, maybe less, at a time today and watch the day unfold.

Full Moon Guide: October – November 2022

The Next Full Moon

The next full moon is the Hunter’s Moon; the Travel, Dying Grass, Sanguine, or Blood Moon; the start of the Sukkoth Holiday; Shared Purnima; the end of Vassa; Pavarana; the Thadingyut Festival of Lights Moon; the end of the Phaung Daw U Pagoda Festival; the Boun Suang Huea or the Boat Racing Festival Moon; and Vap Poya.

The next full moon will be on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 9, 2022, appearing opposite the Sun in Earth-based longitude at 4:55 p.m. EDT. This will be on Monday morning from the Iran and Gulf Standard Time Zones eastward to the International Date Line. The Moon will appear full for about three days centered on this time, from Saturday morning through Tuesday morning.

One Moon, Many Names

As the full moon after the Harvest Moon, this will be the Hunter’s Moon. The earliest written use of the term “Hunter’s Moon” identified in the Oxford English Dictionary is from 1710. According to the Farmer’s Almanac, with the leaves falling and the deer fattened, it is time to hunt. Since the harvesters have reaped the fields, hunters can easily see the animals that have come out to glean (and the foxes that have come out to prey upon them).

The Maine Farmer’s Almanac first published Native American names for the full moons in the 1930s. Over time these names have become widely known and used. According to this almanac, as the full moon in October the Algonquin tribes in what is now the northeastern United States called this the Travel Moon, the Dying Grass Moon, or the Sanguine or Blood Moon. Some sources indicate that the Dying Grass, Sanguine, and Blood Moon names are related to the turning of the leaves and dying back of plants with the start of fall. Others indicate that the names Sanguine and Blood Moon are associated with hunting to prepare for winter. the name “Travel Moon” may come from observing the migration of birds and other animals preparing for the winter. This name also may refer to the season when the more northern tribes would move down from the mountains for the winter. For example, both the Iroquois and Algonquin would hunt in the Adirondack Mountains during the summertime but leave in the fall to avoid the harsh mountain winters.
