April 9 Moon Goddess’ Current Phase

Today the Moon will be in a Waning Crescent phase. In this phase the Moon’s illumination is growing smaller each day until the New Moon. During this part of the Moon cycle, the Moon is getting closer to the Sun as viewed from Earth and the night side of the Moon is facing the Earth with only a small edge of the Moon being illuminated. This phase is best viewed an hour or 2 before the sunrise and can be quite beautiful if you’re willing to get up early. It can also be a great time to see the features of the Moon’s surface. Along the edge where the illuminated portion meets the dark side, the craters and mountains cast long shadows making them easier to observe with a telescope or binoculars.

Today’s Waning Crescent Phase

The Waning Crescent on April 9 has an illumination of 6%. This is the percentage of the Moon illuminated by the Sun. The illumination is constantly changing and can vary up to 10% a day. It takes 29.53 days for the Moon to orbit the Earth and go through the lunar cycle of all 8 Moon phases.

March 29 Moon Goddess’ Current Phase

It lasts roughly 7 days with the Moon’s illumination growing smaller each day until the Moon becomes a Last Quarter Moon with an illumination of 50%. The average Moon rise for this phase is between 9pm and Midnight depending on the age of the phase. The moon rises later and later each night setting after sunrise in the morning. During this phase the Moon can also be seen in the early morning daylight hours on the western horizon.

Time Changes Are Happening Starting This Coming Weekend

Please bear with me as I figure out what countries change from either daylight savings time to standard and vise versa. This reflects the Current Planetary Positions. It is not as easy as you may think it is. For example the United States of America changing to Daylight Saving Time on Sunday, March 14 at 2:00 CDT but Australia does not switch from Daylight Savings Time to Standard time until Sunday, April 4 at 2:00 AEST. So this changes how many hours ahead Australia is of the U.S.A. I just get to pull my hair out twice a year but it grows back fast…LOL! I will try my best to get the times right and the abbreviation for the different time zone I do posts for daily.

The Witches Spell-A-Day – A Spring Abundance Spell

 

A Spring Abundance Spell

Now that trees and shrubs are beginning to show signs of growth, it’s the perfect time to perform this ritual. You’ll need a pliable stem about two to three feet long from a tree or shrub such as a willow or forsythia. Being by weaving the steam into a small wreath. As you weave, say:

The winds of winter are a thing of the past
Spring, I welcome you at last.
Growth and abundance are draw to me.
Now I’m blessed with prosperity.

As you weave the stem, visualize growth and abundance being bound to you. When you’re done, hang the wreath on a branch to the tree or shrub from whic it came. Thank the tree or shrub. You’ve created some positive karma, which will increase the flow of abundance coming to you.
