Eupterrae – news for the Blessing Moon
Hey my brothers and sisters,
It’s a little over 2 weeks to the Blessing Moon and boy has it been busy! Feeling excited for the bustle of activity this summer, although hopefully everyone is still making time for a little pool lounging when possible. It’s taken a lot of work, but my blog is finally divided into Eupterra Foundation the blog and Eupterrae the store. This will keep things simpler…we thinks…
I just wanted to let everyone know the store is open! And there are a couple designs for essential oil necklaces as well as 3 more new ones on the way. Check it out:
Just so we know, the new store Eupterrae has 2 things going on I thought we might like 🙂
First,
I had a custom design for an intricate knotwork pentagram necklace that has been so favored I thought I would bring it up here. I call it the Silver Heart:
What way to show our love of the moon and old ways then a heart hugging them together? That’s what I thought at least 🙂 Portion of everything goes to support W.O.T.C.!

How to Manage A Psychic Attack
There are very specific steps to take in the case of psychic attack.
1) Banish all fear. Psychic attack, like all negativity, feeds on “negative” emotions such as anger and fear. Those feelings, regardless of how justified, only serve to make the initial attack stronger and amplify the symptoms. This only gives you a bigger demon to fight, so your approach should be very neutral.
2) Call for back up. If you are the victim, do not attempt to combat this situation alone. You need not only the additional energy of people you trust, but also their objectivity and grounding assistance. Let them know truthfully what is going on, ask for their opinion, and then ask for their help to deal with it.
3) Take a ritual bath. Soak yourself in water, preferably with lavender oil or flowers, and try to clear your head.
4) Smudge your home.
5) Receive and ground the energy. Once you have cleansed yourself and your home, light a BLACK candle to absorb any negativity that is coming your way and visualize all of the baneful, hurtful energy going directly into the candle and being grounded down to Mother Earth. Normally, we are major advocates for empowering the practitioner to take care of themselves. In this particular instance, we highly recommend the act of surrender, not to the attacker, but to Deity. Give it all over to God/ Goddess and let the Divine sort it out.. Julst like with any other kind of bully, what they want is attention. When they realize they are not garnering the results they want, they will lose interest and drift away. This is truly, the most hurtful thing you can do to the attacker.

Let’s Talk Witch – The Symptoms of a True Psychic Attack
When true psychic attack is underway, the onset will be sudden and severe, seemingly out of the blue:
Severe fatigue and the inability to recover strength easily. Intense fearfulness and paranoia that is not common to the personality.
Severe headaches
Anxiety attacks/Panic attacks
Nightmares, particularly of being chased or someone/ something trying to kill the victim.
One part of the body or the whole body being extremely and unreasonably cold.
Severe pain or tension in the solar plexus, stomach, or intestinal area.
Unexplainable depression that cannot be shaken off.
Feelings of suicide or self-harm untraceable to any genuine issue.
Shaking and trembling.
Extreme pessimism and a sense of hopelessness.
Loss of self confidence in a normally self-assured person.
Abrupt onset of a “victim” mentality.
Unexpected severe health problems.
Basically, what you are looking for is an abrupt change in personality and often, the victim using words or phrases that are atypical to their usual form of experson. Often it is someone around the victim who first suspects psychic attack because to the victim their own thoughts processes seem organic and make person sense.

Is There a Witch’s Bible?
A reader asks, “I was recently in a local Pagan shop and saw a book that was called The Witch’s Bible. In fact, there were THREE books available, all by different authors, with similar titles. I’m confused – I didn’t think there was an actual bible for witches. Which one is the real one that I should buy?”
Answer:
Here’s the thing. Because “witchcraft” is not one universal, codified set of beliefs and practices, it’s impossible to put together any sort of Big Book O’ Rules that will apply to all people who practice witchcraft. Several authors – at least five that I can think of just off the top of my head – have used the word “bible” in their book about witchcraft or Wicca. Does that mean that one is wrong and four are correct? Not hardly.

The Witches Magick for Tuesday, July 5 (One We Can All Appreciate) – Focus Your Caffeine
Focus Your Caffeine
Tools: Coffee, tea, soda, caffeine pills, anything with caffeine in it.
In order to focus your caffeine consumption, and thus your extra energy, on a specific goal, do the following:
Take your caffeine pill, coffee, soda, tea, or whatever else and set it in front of you. Hover both of your hands around it, like parentheses:

Then close your eyes and say a prayer or chant your desire, something like:
I point this energy towards (desire)!
Repeat the prayer, getting louder each time, and then down your source of caffeine.

Protection from Harm Ointment
PROTECTION FROM HARM OINTMENT
You will need:
• 2 parts Mallow (not Marshmallow Root)
• 2 parts Rosemary
• 1 part Vervain
For the base of ointment with shortening, follow these directions:
Melt 4 parts shortening over low heat until liquefied. Watch that it doesn’t burn. Add one part dried herbal mixture (which would be all of the herbs listed above). Blend with a wooden spoon until thoroughly mixed. Continue heating until the shortening has extracted the scent. You should be able to smell it in the air. Strain through a cheesecloth into a heat-proof jar, a canning jar would be perfect for this. Add 1/2 tsp. tincture of benzoin (can be found at an herb store or drug store) to each pint of ointment as a natural preservative. Store in a cool, dark place or in the refrigerator.
Ointments will last for weeks or months. Discard any that turn moldy, and make a fresh batch. Rub onto the body and to drive out negative influences and to keep them far from you.
Bottle Protection Oil
BOTTLE PROTECTION OIL
You will need:
• 1 dram Patchouli Oil
• 1 dram each of Frankincense Oil & Myrrh Oil
• 1 tsp. broken pieces of Mandrake Root
• 3 heaping tsp. coarse Sea Salt
Simmer over a low-heat in an enamel pan. Let cool. Pour into small bottles and charge.
Protection Oil #2
PROTECTION OIL #2
Protection Oils are used to anoint any manner of objects in order to enhance the purity of spiritual vibrations. This 1 is best made on The Dark of the Moon.
You will need:
• 1 dram-sized bottle
• 1/2 dram Sweet Almond Oil
• 3 drops Amber Oil
• 1 drop Jasmine Oil
• 7 drops Dark Musk Oil (Plain Musk may be substituted)
• 5 drops Rue Oil
• 3 small pieces Dragon’s Blood Resin
• 1 pinch coarse Sea Salt
Add the ingredients and shake, to mix well, after each addition.
Protection Oil #1

Use a base oil like sweet almond oil, jojoba, sesame, etc.
To the oil add any three of the following:
• Rue
• Rosemary
• Angelica
• Bay
• Basil
• Fennel
• Sage
• Mugwort
• Vervain
Use either the whole herb or a pure essential oil. Allow the herbs to mix and steep in the oil for 1 week. Handle the bottle frequently, projecting protective energy into the mixture. Recommend you make this oil during a waning moon but you can also make your own timing judgment.

Long Term Protection Spell
LONG TERM NEED – PROTECTION
This form of summoning is closer to permanent as we would perceive it. Yet in this for you must still work with a time frame in mind, however distant it may be. Guardian Dragons may be summoned in this fashion for protection of people places and things needing or deserving long term care (such as children, houses, spouses, etc). Multiple objects can be protected with but a change in grammar, but they must be together for a single dragon to protect (the objects become a mini-horde):
“Dragon brave and Dragon wise,
let nothing escape your eyes.
I summon your from your hidden lair,
(name object here) is entrusted to your care.
Permit no harm to come to (named object)
within your sight, in your presence let all evils take flight.
No baneful creature born of flesh or spirit,
may touch (name object) nor even come near it.
Let those that would bring harm,
be filled with fright and alarm.”
Short-term Protection
SHORT TERM PROTECTION
This summoning is used for short-term goals and needs such as protecting an object being loaned, or anything for a brief period, such as a car ride or elevator trip. Mark the object to be protected with the sign of the guardian and repeat the incantation below:
“Gentle Guardian wise and strong
keeps it (me, him/her) as it (I, he/she) doth belong.
Safe within thy charge and care, the current problem to fare.
No harm to come or ill to befall
Guarded and safe through it all!”
Spell to Lock Out Nasty Beings
SPELL TO LOCK OUT ANYTHING NASTY
You need to start by meditating before hand on the effect of the spell for at least 15 minutes.
Then, to cast, you sprinkle holy (consecrated to the Lord and Lady) water mixed with salt and powdered iron; (try potteries to get this) Stand in front of the door that you want to lock…or in the case of a person the 3rd eye point which is between the eyebrows just above their level.
Then place your hands on the 3rd chakra point or door and concentrate your energies going down your right arm and going through the door and back into your left arm.
Then you start chanting over and over:
“Portal be controlled and mine,
Become as one with my mind,
I hold thee fast, To make this last,
open you not, as I weave the knot,
of my power from within.”
Keep chanting this as you build up power, and imagine the circle of energy (right arm through door back into left arm) getting faster and faster. Then upon release, visualize a green field of energy coming up in front of the door or the 3rd eye chakra.
To Keep A Spell from Backfiring
FOR KEEPING A SPELL FROM BACKFIRING
If a Witch is sick and needs to cast a spell, he/she can bind it. This will keep the spell from backfiring and causing harm to anyone else, most importantly to his/herself. The Witch must procure a thread with a color as dark as the nightly sky.
Light an incense of Sandalwood and Lavender, and as the incense fills the air, he/she must make three knots on the ribbon as he/she intones the words that follow:
“By the Karmic Power of Three
This spell tied and knotted be
To cause no harm nor return to me
As I will it, so must it be.”
The ribbon must be carried when casting the spell as a talisman to keep it from backfiring.
