The Witches Magick for May 6th – Clear Away The Old With Crystals

The Witches Magick for May 6th

CLEAR AWAY THE OLD WITH CRYSTALS

There are many aspects of our lives which we would like to improve, but we just can’t muster up the willpower. In your time of need, a crystal can come to your aid.
You can program a crystal to help you lose weight stop smoking or overcome any negative
attitudes about yourself. For example, you want to stop eating chocolate but just can’t. You know you should stop for health reasons but you don’t have the will power. Try programming a crystal by telling it something like,

“I have completely lost any desire for chocolate.”

Wear the crystal around your neck or keep it in a pocket. Whenever you want chocolate, touch your crystal and feel the urge dissipate.

To get the most out of your crystal, you need to get the right crystal in the first place. Pick a crystal by attraction, by being drawn to touch it, and then hold it loosely in your left hand. Notice the impressions, colors, sounds, and feelings you pick up. No two crystals are the same.
Each crystal has its own unique vibration, and each will resonate differently. It should feel alive in your hand, vibrate, or radiate. In other words, it should feel good.
Before you use your crystals cleanse it. The easiest way to clean your crystal is to hold it in
the bright sunlight and order it to be completely cleansed. when, program it with your desired goal.
Now, you’re ready to enjoy your crystal!

Witches Magick for May 6th – Choosing the Right Crystal for Your Purpose

Witchy Comments & Graphics
Choosing the Right Crystal for Your Purpose

By Elise Lebeau, M. Sc.

Most people who want to use crystals have a particular purpose in mind. Although some families of minerals are more likely to yield the desired result, not all specimens from the same family have similar properties, whether physical (such as fluorescence) or metaphysical (such as healing). Additionally, not everyone reacts the same way when exposed to a crystal.

How to Find the Right Healing Stone

First, let us examine what is the most important criterion when selecting a crystal: vibrational match to your purpose. Everything around us vibrates at a particular frequency. This frequency is related to the movement of the atoms of our physical world and it changes overtime. Even during the course of a day, your own vibrational frequency will vary. As you feel happy, successful and fulfilled, your vibrational frequency is quite high. But when you do your taxes, worry about work, or get into a fight with a loved one, your frequency goes down.

Increasing Your Vibrational Frequency

When you seek the help of a crystal, you are enlisting a powerful ally to “raise” your vibrational frequency. No matter what the crystal is used for, its desired effect is always an increase in your vibrational frequency. We often crave certain crystals because we have a great “vibrational match” with them. This vibrational match means that proximity to this crystal raises our vibrational frequency, thus making us feel “good.”

Selecting a crystal for a particular purpose is a great way to help yourself without having to devote much energy to it. The proximity of the crystal is constantly affecting your own frequency, guiding you upward toward your goal. Similarly, a crystal that does not have a good match is constantly draining you by lowering your vibrational frequency. Hence, selecting the right crystal is of crucial importance.

There are many books that describe crystals and their usage, yet most of them disagree on exact properties. This makes perfect sense if you consider that different crystals of the same family have different properties, and also that people will react to them differently. But this does make the selection of the right crystal more challenging, if you don’t know how to proceed.

Crystal Selection Process

Here is a simple process to identify which crystal will work best for your specific goal.

Clearly identify your purposeLook for a few crystal varieties that seem to support your goal (in a book, online, from a professional, etc.).

Pick a specific specimen that offers vibrational match to your frequency.

That last part is best accomplished by holding the crystal in your hand or thinking about holding it (if you’re buying online for example) and state your purpose: “I want to lose weight.” Always state the purpose in an affirmative sentence (so don’t say: “I want to stop feeling angry”). Affirmative sentences allow the flow of energy (which is what you want), while negative sentences trigger resistances. Close your eyes while you state your purpose so you can focus inward.

If you are more in-tuned with your emotions, look for a good feeling (light, tingly, happy, smiling, good memories come to mind, laughing are all good). If you are more in-tuned with your body, you can use muscle testing: balance yourself upright and let your body “hover” and let it fall in the direction it wants. If you fall forward, it means you have a good match. If you fall backwards, you don’t. There are many different ways to use muscle testing for this purpose, this is an easy one.

Opening Up to Your Crystals

Once you have found the crystal, make a conscious decision to let yourself be open to its influence. In order to interact with the physical world, we often need to shutdown our receptivity to outside influences. That can lead to a generalized shutdown where all influences are blocked. You might find yourself inadvertedly fighting the crystal’s influence.

One last thing you can do to facilitate the influence process is to place your crystal close to a small water fountain. Do not place them in the water, as the mineral deposits might damage them. But anywhere near the fountain will do. This allows the very powerful chi of the water to propagate the vibrational frequency of the crystal throughout your house or office. If you are curious to know how this works, you can read on the work of Dr. Emoto and his famous book Messages from Water. His work describes how the vibrational frequency of intention can alter the molecular composition of water.

BIRTHSTONES

BIRTHSTONES

There are twelve signs of the zodiac; Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.

I am constantly being asked – during the course of  my workshops and seminars – to recommend an appropriate stone which corresponds to a particular birth sign.

In my experience the only accurate way in which to ascertain the correct birthstone  for any individual is for that person to visit a properly qualified astrologist and for a detailed chart to be constructed based on the person’s place of birth, date of birth and the exact time of birth.

Any other method is too vague and generalized; and most certainly cannot possibly be considered seriously!

A few years ago, to prove my theory, I carefully read as many books as I could lay  my hands on which contained information relating to the astrological use of gemstones.

From all the information available I then compiled my own comprehensive list, birthsign by birthsign, encompassing all the ‘recommended’ birthstones which each book suggested would be appropriate for each sign of the zodiac.

When my task was completed I discovered that every birth-sign had at least nine gemstones which, according to all the books, would be suitable for people being born under that particular sign of  the zodiac…..

However, using my own intuition, logic and a little common-sense, I managed to produce the following chart which I find useful as a guide (and a guide only!) when I am asked to recommend a particular gemstone for someone’s birth-sign:

Aries
– jasper, ruby

Taurus
– rose quartz, lapis lazuli, carnelian, sapphire

Gemini
– citrine, rock crystal, tigers eye, agate, rutile quartz.

Cancer
– olivine, emerald, moonstone

Leo
– quartz crystal, diamond, agate

Virgo
– carnelian, agate, jasper, sapphire

Libra
– emerald, aventurine, jade, sapphire

Scorpio
– garnet, bloodstone, ruby, jasper, beryl

Sagittarius
– topaz, jacinth, obsidian snowflake

Capricorn
– smoky quartz, ruby, onyx, jet

Aquarius
– turquoise, malachite, aquamarine, moonstone

Pisces
– amethyst, opal, moonstone

Whilst it is always acceptable to give a friend – or your loved one –  a birthstone  pendant or necklace, please remember that the stones that will work best for you – or your friends – are the ones whose ‘vibrational energies’ are most closely compatible with the person who is going to wear it!

Pre-Programming & Programming Your Crystals & Gemstones

Pre-Programming & Programming Your Crystals & Gemstones

Prior to any specialized crystal programming, the following pre-programming is recommended:

* Program the crystal to receive Divine will so that the results will reflect actualization for the good of all.

* Program the crystal for protection in the light.

Programming

Programming is the process of instructing the energies of the crystal in the method in which to use its qualities of transformation, stability, and attunement.  Precise directions are required, or the response will be less than that which is intended.

The act of holding the crystal and intending to use it for a specific purpose is the simplest form of programming.Another method, primarily relevant to the programming of thoughts, and universal
energies which are inherent to the mineralogical formation, involves the following:

* Formulate a precise phrase which accurately describes the nature of the programming (i.e., other worldly communication, harmony, balance, love, special healing or protection for someone, etc.)

* Hold the crystal in the left hand (if left-handed hold the crystal in the right hand), relax for several minutes, initiate circular breathing, and center the consciousness. Consciously align the personal conscious awareness with the higher-self and/or other appropriate other-worldly beings.

* Ask for guidance, protection, and assistance in the programming process. Open the center of consciousness and allow receptivity to flow through to the inner being.

* Repeat the formulated phrase 20-30 times in succession while visualizing and feeling the desired effect of the program. (Be open to higher assistance during this process).  As the phrase is repeated, and energy field will build and culminate in the energy pattern necessary to represent the desired program.

* While maintaining full awareness of the energy field, bring total awareness and consciousness to the area of the third-eye or the heart chakra.  Place the crystal in front of the area of the third-eye or heart chakra and allow the self to feel the connection with it.

* Direct the energy field into the crystal for 30-60 seconds and allow the program to be transferred to within the crystal.  Intuitive recognition will signal when the transmittal is complete.

* Detach consciousness from the crystal and allow the universal energies to act.

Awakening & Charging Your Crystals & Gemstones

Awakening & Charging Your Crystals & Gemstones

Crystals can be awakened by:

* Impacting the crystal upon the energized sand of the ocean beaches and/or sand dunes.

* Sounding a meditative gong in proximity to the crystal (this method stimulates the activation of the resonance of the crystal).

* Gently sounding Tibetan prayer bells (or other bells) in proximity to the crystal (this method aligns the energy of the crystal structure so that it can be efficiently directed).

Charging

* Place the crystal on a large crystal cluster.

* Place the crystal in the center of a circle, where the circle is comprised of other crystals whose terminations are pointing toward the center.

* Place the crystal in sunlight and/or in the light of the moon; the days related to the summer and winter solstice. the vernal equinox, the autumnal equinox, the full moon, and the new moon are more heavily charged.

Cleansing Your Crystals & Gemstones

Cleansing Your Crystals and Gemstones

Here are a few methods for crystal cleansing.

* Take the crystal to the sea, cleanse in sea water (allowing the water to “wash” over it), and energize in the sun.

* Smudge the crystal (with sweetgrass, cedar, sage, incense, etc.). This method has been used for centuries by Native Americans and Native African tribal cultures.

* Soak the crystal in sea salt for 7-24 hours, rinse with pure water, and energize in the sun.

* Soak the crystal in saltwater for a duration of from one to seven days; this method uses approximately three tablespoons of salt to a cup of water (water must cover stones) in a glass container with the water and crystals in a location which will receive sunlight.

* Soak the crystals in brown rice for twenty-four hours; the rice balances and centers the energy, removing the negativity, while dissipating and transforming the negative to the positive.  (Upon completion of the “soak” the rice is purified and energized and is quite wonderful to eat).

Buy and Use Gemstones and Crystals to Activate Ancient Wisdom

Buy and Use Gemstones and Crystals

to Activate Ancient Wisdom

Before buying crystals and gemstones, it’s a good idea to plan how you are going to use them. Over time, you may want to build up a collection with sets of stones for different purposes because the particular energies that are intended for one use may not be relevant in another use. Write up a “shopping list” for your stone collecting before heading out the door. If you are like me, you’ll find that it is easy to get sidetracked like a kid in a candy stone when confronted with an array of beautiful crystals and gemstones.

People have been attracted to gemstones since prehistoric times. While beauty plays a part in their appeal, it is their energy that has a powerful impact on us. If you like to wear crystals or place gemstones around your house, you are aware of their power. The practice of gemstone feng shui combines the wisdom of gemstones and crystals with the ancient art of feng shui to invite positive change into your life. .

At its core, feng shui is a method to balance the dynamic, ever-changes forces of the natural world. Gemstones are perfect for feng shui work because they are formed through the powerful dynamic processes of nature. As a result, gemstones personify the energy of the elemental cycles that are utilized in feng shui. .

The ancient Chinese divided the universe into five elements: water, fire, wood, metal and earth. These elements embody the archetypal energies that shape all things and processes. Because of the manner in which certain gemstones are created, they invoke specific elemental energy. For example, peridot or obsidian invoke fire because both are born from volcanic action. In the case of peridot, it could also come from a fiery meteor. For the element metal, malachite or azurite can be used because they contain more than 50% of the metal copper. .

In traditional feng shui, balancing elemental energy is accomplished by positioning an element or an object that represents it in a particular location. In gemstone feng shui, gemstones and crystals are used in place of other objects. The feng shui tool used to apply gemstone energy to your environment is the Lo Shugrid, also called the Magic Square, which looks like a tic-tac-toe grid. .

The Magic Square divides space into nine sectors/directions that form a matrix of attributes and associations: .
North – Career and personal journey; Element, water; Gemstone, opal or pearl; .
Northeast –Wisdom and self-cultivation; Element; earth; Gemstone, andalusite or tourmaline; .
East – Family and community; Element, wood; Gemstone, jet or amber; .
Southeast – Prosperity and self/net-worth; Element, wood; Gemstone, jet or amber; .
South – Success and reputation; Element, fire; Gemstone, peridot or obsidian; .
Southwest – Relationships and partnership; Element, earth; Gemstone, andalusite or tourmaline; .
West – Creativity and children; Element, metal; Gemstone, malachite or azurite; .
Northwest – Achievement and benefactors; Element, metal; Gemstone, malachite or azurite; .
Center – Harmony and spirit; Element, earth; Gemstone, andalusite or tourmaline. .

To use the Magic Square, create a drawing of the floor plan of your home or just one room where you want to perform feng shui. With a magnetic compass determine the direction of north and orient your floor plan in the correct direction. Next, draw a Magic Square (tic-tac-toe grid) over your floor plan with the middle row of squares oriented north and south, and with the center square in the center of your floor plan. This will show you in what area of a room (or your house) to invoke particular elemental energy. Simply place one of your gemstones in the corresponding sector. .

The Magic Square also shows the basic proportions of elemental energy needed for balance. For example the earth element, which is vital for overall well-being (both physical and spiritual) occupies three of the nine sectors/directions. After all, it is the earth’scycles that we follow, and we are most healthy and strong when we are “grounded”. .

There are many sources for crystals and gemstones. New Age bookshops frequently carry them, as well as museum gift shops and earth science stores. Rock and fossil shops are great sources and you can count on them to correctly identify the less popular types of stones. Ask and look for notices of upcoming mineral shows or swaps, which are excellent venues for finding a stunning range of crystals and gemstones, as well as learning more about them. .

Once you have found a place to buy your crystals and gemstones, and have located one that is on your shopping list, take a few moments to hold it in the palm of your hand. Close your fingers over it or hold it between both palms to get a sense of its energy. Think of how you are planning to use it. If you are going to use it to represent the element water, think of water. If the stone still feels good as you think of an element, then it’s the right stone. Don’t expect a thunderbolt or choir of angels to let you know you’ve chosen the right one. Clues tend to be subtle. Or you just might “know” it’s the right stone for you. .

Also listen to yourself if something doesn’t “feel” right. You may not be able to pinpoint what it is about a particular stone, but if this happens it’s just not the right one with which you should do energy work. Don’t take it personally, just listen to your heart-of-hearts. .

Stones that you trade or receive from friends can be very special. Ones that you find yourself are gifts directly to you from Mother Earth. If you are not sure about the identification of a stone you find, take it to a rock shop and ask for advice. Don’t be shy, most rock hounds are happy to share their knowledge. Whatever way a stone comes into your life be sure to clean and prepare it for energy work. Even one that comes from your best friend should be prepared in order for it to react more richly and fully with your own energy. .

Your own energy is the most important ingredient in gemstone feng shui. Open yourself to the wisdom of gemstones and they will help you transform the energy around you. Go with the flow and enjoy their magic. .

Crystal Grid for Earth Healing

Crystal Grid for Earth Healing

Crystal grids are similar to mandalas; they are simply an arrangement of stones in a pattern for the specific purpose of directing energy toward a goal. The variety of combinations is limited only by your imagination. For this particular grid, however, we will use a pattern designed to honour the elements and send healing energy to the Earth.

Although this ritual can be performed at any time, it is ideal for an Earth Day celebration. It can be done alone or with a group. For a group working, each person can recite a part of the ritual and place a stone into the grid.

You will need one quartz cluster of any kind for the centre of the grid to symbolize the Spirit. Clear quartz is the ideal choice, but you can also use amethyst. Depending on your collection of stones and crystals, you may have a different stone in mind. Use your intuition to select a stone that best represents the Spirit to you.

Select four large stones to represent each of the four elements. You may want to choose these stones by colour or association. These can be mineral specimens or rocks you have collected. For example, geodes or stones worn by a river are good choices to represent Water. Amethyst is also often associated with the Water element. Red, orange, or metallic stones are good for Fire, or volcanic glass such as obsidian. Brown or green coloured stones, especially agates, are good choices for the Earth element, or a stone that you have collected from your backyard, something native to your area that represents the land. Yellow or clear stones are good choices for Air.

You will also need four quartz points of any size and the following eight connecting stones: Tourmalinated Quartz, Rhodocrosite, Gypsm, Chrysocolla, a Geode, a piece of Petrified Wood or a fossil, Lepidolite, and Smoky Quartz.

These are fairly common stones among mineral collectors and can be obtained for minimal cost from rock and gem shops. If you have difficulty finding any of these, feel free to use clear quartz as a replacement.

Cast a circle as you normally do, or create sacred space in your own way. Set the mood for your ritual by playing a recording of nature sounds, or perform the ritual outdoors if possible. Turn on a fountain if you have one – the sound of running water can also enhance the mood.

The four large stones you have selected to represent the four elements will be placed first. As you call each quarter, place the stone in the appropriate direction. Depending on your position, your grid will either be in the shape of a diamond or a square. Be sure you leave room in between for the connecting stones.

To invoke Spirit/Deity, place the quartz cluster in the centre, and say the following:

“The purpose of this ritual is to send healing energy to the Earth. This crystal represents the Spirit, the energy of all things – all things are connected. I empower this crystal with Earth-healing energy. May it flow forth and spread over the world to bring healing, harmony, peace and respect for all life.”

Next, use the following visualization – you can do this internally if you’re alone, or read it aloud to a group:

“Imagine the Earth flourishing and under our care instead of domination. Pure, clean waters and air, pollutants neutralized and safe, waste being recycled, energy being saved, animals and habitats protected, humans caring about their environment and being responsible for their actions. I (we) will build this grid to hold my (our) energy, and then release it.”

Next, each of the eight connecting stones will be added to the grid, stating the purpose of each as it’s put into place. Place each one next to an elemental marker stone. The end result will be four connected lines in the shape of a diamond or square. Between each elemental marker there will be a total of three stones – two connecting stones and one quartz point between each of them, to be placed last.

Tourmalinated Quartz: “To create a solving atmosphere for positive change.”
Rhodocrosite: “For Earth-healing, love and balance.”
Gypsm: “To end stagnation and promote progressive thinking.”
Chrysocolla: “To help all beings become attuned with the Earth.”
Geode: “To represent the Earth Mother and help us see the ‘big picture.'”
Petrified Wood: “For protection from environmental pollutants, to promote energy and enjoyment of life, strength, transformation – to change what we can – and for grounding, connection with the Earth.”
Lepidolite: “To facilitate harmony and a peaceful environment.”
Smoky Quartz: “For protection, especially for all creatures and natural resources.”
Finally, complete the grid with the remaining four quartz points to direct the energy outward. Place them with the points facing away from the grid. Chant the following words as each crystal is put into place:

Elements and Spirit praised,
healing energy be raised,
send it to our Mother Earth,
land that gives us life and birth.

Proceed with grounding in the manner of your choice, and close your circle with the following words, or some variation:

“Elementals and Deities, we thank you for your presence here, depart with our love and gratitude. The circle is open but unbroken; may this energy for Earth-healing grow as it spreads across the land. Merry Meet, Merry Part, and Merry Meet Again. Blessed Be.”

If possible, leave the grid in place for a few days or until you feel it has completed its work. It may be useful to build it on a piece of cardboard so you can simply move the cardboard to another location where the grid will not be disturbed. If you need to disassemble the grid right away, visualize any remaining healing energy within the grid being dispersed to the Earth.

Let’s Talk Witch – Using Stones in Magickal Work

Celtic & British Isles Graphics

USING STONES IN MAGICAL WORK

Crystals and stones are gifts from nature and can be used to enhance your rituals and magic. They can become sacred, magical tools in their own right. When consecrating a circle, creating your sacred space or making a shrine, you may like to search out stones which can represent the elements, so here are a few suggestions:

Air

When looking for stones to represent air, you need to think of crystal-clear stones or yellowish tinged ones. A quartz crystal point can often be picked up quite cheaply and, of course, it does not matter if it is flawed because, with a little imagination, these flaws can often look like clouds. Quartz pebbles are often found on the seashore weathered by the water.

Fire

Stones to represent fire should be red or orange or sometimes black. Any stone which has the feeling of passion or fiery emotion will do very well – carnelian or red jasper work particularly well. Volcanic rocks, or other very hard ones, often signify fire since they are the outcome of fire from the earth.

Water

Blue or blue-green stones are good if you wish to represent water and if you are near the sea you might find a piece of salt or sandblasted glass which is ideal. Although glass is man-made, nature has done its work. White or greyish pebble stones actually found in water are also very useful whilst a piece of stone with seaweed attached is also good. Some agates are very pretty and can echo some wave patterns.

Earth

The colours for earth are green and brown, and many of the stones associated with earth are green as well. All stones are the product of earth so almost any stone will do, particularly if you have got to know it as we suggested above. Use it wisely and it will always repay you. Remember that you do not need polished stones for this – the more natural they are the better.

Spirit

Most clear crystals can be used to represent the fifth element of Aether, or spirit, as can the purple hued ones. Amethyst is particularly good as it is both a transmitter and a receiver of psychic and spiritual energy. Mostly, those stones which are capable of representing spirit will ‘speak’ to you and if you choose more than one you will have to use your intuition so that you choose the right one for your purpose.

Gemstone of the Day – Blue Lace Agate

Gemstone of the Day – Blue Lace Agate

Blue Lace Agate

Blue Lace Agate is one of the rarest of all the agate gemstones. It was discovered by a man named George Swanson on his farm in the south western part of Africa. To this day, the original seam found on his farm still produces the best blue lace agates in the world.

One Blue Lace Agate meaning brings out your more personable side allowing you to let problems and irritations slide off your back rather than internalizing and dwelling on them. In todays hectic world this can be like a gift from the creator. Everyone is so busy and so pushed to hurry, hurry, hurry we often end up hurting peoples feelings without meaning to. The properties of blue lace agate work almost like a protective shield around you, helping you to simply allow those negative remarks to flow over and away from you rather than you accepting them as a part of yourself. Helps to connect with your highest power and to emit positive feelings of hope, joy and positive thinking. Makes a great stone to be used as a wishing stone

Agate healing properties for this particular variety are very calming and uplifting. Blue lace agate is great to use in any situation where tensions may reside. Keep one in your home or at your office to help keep everyone at peace. It is a gentle stone that brings a calming tranquil feeling to anyone that is around it. It is a great stone to help you reach higher spiritual energies, communicate with angels and spirit guides and helps to open the throat chakra, the communication center of our being.

Use a blue lace agate for any instances that involve any type of communicating with others. This makes it the perfect stone for those involved in any type of public speaking, teaching, any type of written communication including books, letters, commercials and advertising.

If you know of someone who is writing a book or studying any subject where they must write a thesis in order to graduate, the agate healing properties make a blue lace agate the perfect gift. Try to find something rather large that can sit on the desk they work from, or give them a pendant with a blue lace agate stone in it, with a chain set to allow the stone to hang just at the bottom of their throat to get the best effect.

These same properties of blue agate hold true for those who do any sort of public speaking. Having a blue lace agate hanging at throat level not only helps the voice to be clear and strong, giving the best impression possible but also helps the speaker to find the right words to be able to get their point across eloquently.

Blue lace agates are used as a healing stone to help people that stutter, have arthritis, severe headaches, throat problems, nervous problems that affect their speech and all types of skin and bone problems. If you find yourself in a stressed out condition for any reason, try meditating with one or more blue lace agates. They can help you let go of the stresses so you can be at a peaceful and calm state.

One of the properties of blue agate that make it a great gift for anyone who uses their intuitiveness in their work (think police officers, teachers, etc.) or even for those seeking to open their psychic abilities to help others; is its ability to help increase pyschic abilities. It clears the mind and eases the connection between yourself and the spirit world giving you better access to knowledge and information when it is needed the most.

If you find yourself in a situation where you are not being honest with yourself, which almost always leads to even bigger problems, try meditating with a blue lace agate. Many people find accepting the fact that we often lie to ourselves to be almost impossible. Yet most everyone does it. Accepting allows you to deal with it and it ceases to be a problem. Internalizing it and refusing to accept it, forces us to keep dealing with the problems over and over again. Blue lace agate will allow you to connect your inner self with the higher beings that can guide you to where you need to be.

Blue lace agates are great stones to decorate in an office where meetings are held on a regular basis. They help to keep all communications on a smooth and even basis, which makes everything run a little easier. A collection of large pieces of blue lace agate arranged in a display and placed in the center of the meeting room table can actually reduce costs within a business allowing everyone to keep petty arguments out of meetings and stay on topic better. Of course if larger pieces are not available, try a small fountain and place multiple tumbled stones in strategic places inside and around the fountain to have the same affect.

Crystal of the Day – Serpentine Stone

Crystal of the Day – Serpentine Stone

Serpentine stone has been mined successfully in Afghanistan, China, England, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States. It is actually not a mineral but a group of minerals which combine into what we call Serpentine stone.

Rarely will Serpentine stone be found in fine jewelry. For metaphysical uses, it is used mainly in the form of pendant beads or tumbled stones rather than actual beads, however with some effort, serpentine beads can occasionally be found.

When the stone has a higher calcite content, it is often used in decorative carvings as it has a look very similar to marble. When th stone has a higher bound water content, is it often used as filler between the various layers of steel used to shield nuclear ractors.

Serpentine stone is often called New Jade because many forms of it resemble Jade once it has been polished. It comes in many colors varying all the way from almost pure white, through various shades of yellows, greens and reds and into the shades of brown.

In it’s raw form, many of the darker shades of serpentine stone appear similar to the skin of a snake or serpent, which gave rise to the name, serpentine.

Serpentine gemstone is an excellent stone to use when peace is needed in any situation. Keep one in your home to help calm arguments and place one near the cash register to keep your customers extra happy.

To help you take your meditation to new heights, keep a serpentine stone nearby. It will help calm your inner conflicts and bring greater peace into your life.

In times past, serpentine stone has been used as an amulet against all sorts of poisonous bites from insects, snakes and scorpions. Of course when dealing with any insect or animal which may be poisonous, always use common sense and never tempt fate simly because you have an amulet against it.

When kidney or stomach problems seem to keep hanging on, gemstone healers often recommend taping a serpentine stone at your navel level. Sleep with it in place to help pull out infections and the negative energies that are causing the problems.

An excellent stone to help with a wide range of womens problems. It has been used to regulate the supply of breast milk in nursing mothers, ease menstrual pain and adominal cramping during menstration and has been placed in the bed or under the pillow to help women achieve orgasm when tension and nervousness is preventing it from happening.

Crystal Body Meditation

Crystal Body Meditation

This is an excellent meditation for rejuvenation, relaxation and
especially healing work.

Start by lying down in a comfortable position.
As you close your eyes, visualize your body exactly as it is right now, only it is made out of crystal. Begin breathing in a slow, all-connected
manner, one which is easy and relaxing. Feel yourself calming down.
There is no need to hurry or rush. Listen to the sound of your breath
moving through you like a wind of inner cleansing. Hear your heart
beating steadily, like a far off drum. This is all that exists right
now. You as body; you as mind; you as spirit.

Once your mind is soothed, begin to observe the crystal of your body in
your mind’s eye. Notice especially any spots which seem to have a
strange texture or colour. These indicate tensions, injury, imbalance or
sickness of some kind. Now, from above you picture a healing light
flowing down over you like a silver river. Begin to breathe in the light
as if it were air itself. See it filling each muscle, bone, and cell,
until it is exhaled as a muddy brown colour, returning it to the Mother.
This is an indication that the light-energy is collecting your tensions
and cleaning them out, and allowing for the body’s natural healing
process to work.

Continue this process until the colour and quality of the light which you
exhale is the same as that inhaled, until your entire being has become
the clearest crystal from which light can shine. Don’t worry if you fall
asleep during this, as it is a natural side effect of the meditation. If
you are still awake at the end, move from your pelvis to get up, taking
care not to change your centre of gravity so that you can bring this
fresh wholeness of being with you into the conscious state. Take notes
on your experience. This meditation can be repeated whenever you like.

Crystal Reflexology

Crystal Reflexology

First select a quartz crystal which has a very good polished/smooth single-terminated point. Then ask your patient/friend to remove either their socks or their tights. Crystal reflexology treatments may either be done with the patient lying on a massage couch or sitting in a comfortable chair. When using the latter method you yourself need to sit on a stool so that you can place your patient’s feet upon your lap. Reflexology, as you probably already know, is basically a foot massage. Or , at least, that is the way that it is normally described!

The principles of reflexology, of course, is that the feet consist of numerous

reflex points; all of which relate to specific parts of the physical body. An ordinary qualified reflexologies will use his/her hands to press into every one of these reflex points and when a health problem is diagnosed the patient will often feel a sharp pain and the therapist will detect a small pea-like lump just under the surface of the skin. In crystal reflexology, however, we do not need to be quite as precise.

First, naturally, we must programme our healing quartz crystal to re- balance any imbalances which might be discovered in the patient’s body as the treatment proceeds. Using the single-terminated end of the quartz crystal the crystal healer very gently – and without pressing too deep into the skin – starts to rotate the crystal in a clockwise direction just lightly pushing into the skin. Starting with the soles of the left foot, the crystal is moved slowly around to the sides, lightly touching the skin all the time, and then on to the upper part of the foot. All movements should be both slow and deliberate.

Make sure that you cover all the surface of the foot. Then on to the right foot…… Whenever the crystal healer obtains a reaction from the patient he or she will spend a few moments directing crystalline healing energy into the appropriate reflex point. As the crystal reflexology treatment ends the therapist takes the quartz crystal and lightly runs it over the entire surface of the foot; on the soles and on the upper part of both feet. As a rough time-guide I would suggest that you spend around thirty minutes per foot but naturally this is completely flexible depending upon what you find and upon the needs of your patient!
