You might feel you’re making slow progress while issues from the past keep popping up. This is because five planets are retrograde: Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune. Mercury is retrograde until December 15. This is why you’re misplacing items, cancelling appointments and reservations or having car problems. Granted, it’s easier to finish old business. (That’s a bonus.) But, now hear this: This week Mars goes retrograde until Feb. 23; and this will really slow things down! People will feel frustrated and impatient. But it will “reveal” secrets from the past. Of course, past issues are often tricky to think about. For example, if you lend someone $50 and you never see that person again…. it was probably worth it.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You have a strong desire to travel; however, duties and responsibilities might make this impossible. But hey, you can do something! Basically, you want to experience more of life. You want a change of scenery. You want adventure and stimulation! If you can’t travel, seek out other ways to satisfy this urge. Take a course. Explore a new hobby. Study something new. Be a tourist in your own city. Many of you are also dealing with some kind of a replay with your kids. (“This again?”) The upside is that perhaps tackling whatever arises again is an opportunity to deal with it in a better manner. Like having a second chance. Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Financial issues about shared property, taxes, debt, inheritances and insurance matters can be dealt with and wrapped up quickly. Meanwhile, plans for renovations or changes at home are going slow and meeting with obstacles. An old family drama might be resurrected because some kind of discovery is “revealed.” On the upside, your appreciation for the arts and beauty is heightened. Pluto goes through all signs every 250 years. In 2023, Pluto returned to Aquarius for three months. This year, Pluto was in Aquarius for nine months. Next year, Pluto will stay in Aquarius for 20 years. Meanwhile, Pluto in Aquarius is about “power to the people.” Unions will become stronger. University protests will gain strength. Eventually, other disenfranchised groups will get organized. Before this, Pluto was in Capricorn encouraging a top-down power structure and an accumulation of wealth. Pluto in Aquarius will also bring incredible advances in science and technology. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius, we had the French Revolution, the American Revolution and the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. It also brought the vaccine for smallpox and the discovery of Uranus. Big advances! This is a challenging week. Right at the beginning, we’re faced with chores, duties and responsibilities. No doubt, this will be overwhelming for some. Strong urges will culminate by Thursday, when passionate feelings of anger and resentment might arise. Unfortunately, these feelings will linger for the rest of the week; and in some cases, they could lead to aggressive behaviour. Hold your horses! Why even go there? What’s the upside? The purpose of life is to be happy, which means smart choices are the ones that promote your own happiness and welfare. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “When it’s dark enough – you can see the stars.” (Of course, it’s always darkest before it gets pitch black.) There are times when we need to use our common sense, which unfortunately, is not that common. For example, never do card tricks for the people you play poker with. Right?

Furthermore, AFTER the retrograde is over on Aug. 28, Mercury will still be “behind” because it won’t catch up to the degree it was at when it first went retrograde until Sept. 12. Therefore, be smart: If you’re buying something expensive like a cell phone, a car or a computer wait until Sept. 12 or later. Disappointing, I know. Actually, I am planning to buy a new laptop, too. I’ve been planning to buy one for the last five years.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You gave up a lot in the early 90s to start a new path. Then around 2001-2004, once again, life was full of job changes and residential moves. By 2008-2010, you were working hard, which is why you received acknowledgement of your efforts around 2010-2012. Admittedly, that was also a tough window for marriages, friendships and close relationships. Around 2013, you might have expanded your family or improved your home. By 2018, you looked fabulous!
