All Signs

Life is “stirred up” and moving fast because almost half of the major planets are changing signs in the next few months. This is huge. (And some are moving into confrontational Aries.) Two weeks ago, Neptune entered Aries for the first time since 1862-1875; which is a preview of things to come because Neptune slips back into Pisces in October, returning to Aries in January 2026 to stay until 2039. Next week, Mars moves into Leo for two months. In June, Jupiter moves into Cancer; and in July, Uranus (planet of upheaval and revolution) also moves into Cancer, which happens to be the Sun Sign of both Canada and the US. (Yowzers!) Personally, I’m going to gas up my car; and make sure I have an extra bag of nachos and two cartons of Ranch dip.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This week Mercury joins Neptune in your sign, which will make you busy and chatty! Meanwhile, your ruler Mars will soon move into the most fun-loving part of your chart for two months, making this the perfect time for vacations, creative adventures, fun activities with kids and competitive sports. Live it up! Later this week, the Sun moves into Taurus to stay for four weeks heightening your focus on money, cash flow, earnings and possessions. Examine your relationship to the resources in your life. Are you using what you own? Does your stuff serve your needs or vice versa? You will want to establish greater control of your life through the things that you value. It’s a reality check.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

There’s a lot happening right now. Next week Mars moves to the bottom of your chart to stay for the next two months stirring up energy at home and with family members. (Try to avoid domestic strife.) You’ll want to start shoving furniture around and make home improvements. Be patient with parents because this is a challenging influence. Fortunately, the Sun enters your sign on Thursday to stay for four weeks, which will boost your energy and help you make a great impression on everyone. You’ll feel a strong need to express yourself! Meanwhile, Venus in your House of Friendships will create cozy times with pals. “Who brought this wine?”

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Next week fiery Mars moves into your House of Communications to stay for two months, which means the pace of your everyday life will accelerate. You’ll identify strongly with your ideas, which means you might encounter arguments. Be careful not to coerce others into believing as you do. (“But I’m persuasive!”) Countering this, the Sun moves into a hidden part of your chart this week for the next four weeks. This happens only once a year, and will help you identify childhood behaviour patterns that are no longer appropriate. (Hey, you’re adulting now.) You can sense that your personal year is coming to an end, which makes this the perfect time to ask yourself how well you’re doing at the art of living.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Mercury is now at the top of your chart, urging you to make plans for your professional life, and think about whether you’re headed in the direction you want to go. This is an excellent time to undertake new studies, as well as talk to bosses and employers. Venus encourages travel for pleasure, and falling in love with someone “different.” Meanwhile, the next four weeks will be popular because the Sun is in your House of Friendships energizing your involvement with friends, as well as groups and organizations. This also arouses your idealism! Then, when Mars changes signs next week, you’ll work even harder to boost your earnings and spend money!

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

You’re entering a powerful window because next week, fiery Mars moves into your sign; while this week, the Sun moves to the top of your chart. This is favourable! Mars will give you energy, confidence and courage. You’ll be more proactive in all your dealings with others. (Maybe a tad bossy.) Meanwhile, with the Sun at your zenith, you look fabulous to everyone! This is because you’re in a flattering spotlight. (Symbolically.) People admire you even if you don’t do anything different. This is why you might be asked to take on increased responsibilities or you might get a promotion. Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This week the Sun moves into the part of your chart that heightens your interest in travel, learning and doing anything possible to broaden your horizons. Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You don’t like to rock the boat. Therefore prepare for next week, when fiery Mars moves into your House of Friendships, making you more aggressive about going after what you want, even if it conflicts with others. Use your diplomacy to create successful team efforts. Coordinate your needs with their needs. (Tricky but doable.) Seek out more physical activity through athletics or team participation. Mercury, now opposite your sign, will help you clarify and explain issues. Discussions will be lively and you will seek out intellectual stimulation from others. Put energy into wrapping up loose details with taxes, shared property, inheritances and debt. All that fun stuff.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Next week your co-ruler Mars moves to the top of your chart, arousing your ambition as never before. This means you’ll work hard to get things done. However, this could put you in conflict with a boss or an authority figure. Do what you can to avoid this because you don’t need a situation that blocks your objectives. Go slowly and be diplomatic. Meanwhile, with the Sun moving opposite your sign, you need more sleep and more rest in the next four weeks. Respect this need; especially because Venus will attract chances to party, play and schmooze. Mercury, now in your House of Employment, will promote good relations with employers and coworkers. The next few weeks are an excellent time for important discussions. Seek ways to improve your health.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You might feel conflicted as two planets are changing signs because one makes you want to travel, explore the world, and get a change of scenery. (“I’m outta here.”) While the other makes you keen to work and be productive. In fact, you’ll strive to make every action count because you want to discover the best way of doing things. Physical efficiency will be your motto. Mercury is another planet that changes signs now, moving to one of the most fun parts of your chart, encouraging you to use your mind for amusement like reading, writing and playing games that require mental agility. You might even play some pranks?

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Lucky you! Once a year, the Sun travels through the most fun part of your chart for four weeks; and this starts now! You want to feel free to express yourself. You want to do what you want and set your own priorities. You have a strong drive to have a good time and be a free spirit. You might be more involved with kids than usual. Relationships will be more lighthearted. Family discussions are likely. Some will tackle home repairs. Admittedly, conflicts about inheritances, shared property, taxes and debt might increase. The other thing that will increase is your sex drive! Woot!

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You prefer to go off by yourself or spend time relaxing among familiar surroundings.) Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Fasten your seatbelt because the next four weeks are busy! More activity, more moving round, more encounters with new faces and new places! This is a great time for a vacation. It’s also a good time to tell others how you feel about something. Meanwhile Mercury has just entered your Money House making you more concerned about business affairs, shopping and moneymaking ideas. You might want to define your sense of values to someone. Mars is also changing signs next week, which will make you work hard to get things done. Best to work solo because you have your own ideas about how to do things. Oh yeah.

Good news! This week marks the end of a series of retrogrades that have been creating hiccups, frustrations and delays since the beginning of the year. Fortunately, we will start to feel that life is “all systems go” because Mercury and Venus turn direct this week – and next week, Mars returns to Leo, the sign it was in when it went retrograde in the first week of December last year. Oh yes, delays, setbacks and misunderstandings will be reduced! “Right here in River City!” By midmonth, we’ll be cooking on all six burners. Start making plans about what you want to accomplish for the rest of the year. Jobs? Vacations? Education? A fun escape? Meanwhile, I read that meaningless statistics are up 3.7 percent.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You continue to feel empowered this week because the Sun is in your sign, boosting your energy. This occurs only once a year for four weeks, so make the most of this. Look around you because people and favourable situations are attracted to you more than usual. You might explore a new opportunity, make a deal or do something that’s to your advantage. Please know that you’re at the end of a window of time where you have been letting go of what is no longer relevant in your life. (The last time this occurred was from 1994-1996.) This window began in 2023 and it will be over in June of this year. A new world awaits!

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Continue to play things low-key because at this time of year, your personal year is coming to an end, however, your new year will not begin until the time of your birthday. Therefore, you’re in a time of limbo as it were. Actually, that makes this an excellent time to ponder and think about what you want for your new year ahead. By next week, when Mars moves forward in your House of Communications, you will be mentally charged and more enthusiastic about future plans – trust me. Meanwhile, interactions with younger, artistic people will delight. Relations with those who are close to you are so cozy, a friendship might turn romantic. Woot!

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

This is a lovely, sociable week. For starters, the Sun is in your House of Friendships, which turns your attention toward friends and groups to which you belong. You’ll find it easy to work and cooperate with others. You might share your goals with someone. Meanwhile this week, both Mercury and Venus move forward at the top of your chart promoting your relations with parents, bosses, teachers, VIPs and the police. People see you in favourable terms and likewise, you’re happy to see others as well. (For some of you, a relationship with a boss or an authority figure could become romantic.) The bottom line is that your relations with others are warm and rewarding, and this is a blessing.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You look great in the eyes of others with the Sun at the top of your chart casting you in a flattering spotlight. You can’t lose! It’s magic! (Smoke and mirrors.) The thing to know is that this is happening. This once-a-year phenomena is working for you right now so you might as well use it to your advantage. (Gone in a few weeks.) Meanwhile, this week both Mercury and Venus will move forward in a part of your chart that encourages you to travel and explore opportunities in publishing, the media, or anything to do with higher education, medicine and the law. All of these areas might open up for you in a magical way.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is a tricky time for you. In December, Mars was in your sign, then it went retrograde and slipped back into Cancer in your 12th House. This journey of Mars in that particular House can be frustrating. For example, you might not get credit for what you’re doing, or you might have to stay in the background. There’s a strong chance you feel irritable with others. You might also create the wrong impression and undermine your position. (Unusual for you.) One upside is the workout you’ll get by constantly pulling your foot out of your mouth. The good news is this is over in a few weeks. Meanwhile, gifts, goodies and favours from others will come your way now because financial delays will be a thing of the past. Ka-ching!

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Both Mercury and Venus have been sitting opposite your sign, and both of them have been retrograde. This retrograde influence has not helped your closest relationships and partnerships. The good news is that as of this week, they both start to move forward, which will bring a lighter, happier tone to your relations with those who are closest to you. You’ll have a feeling that past irritations and stagnation are now behind you. In fact, you’ll feel hopeful and happier to be with others. You’ll find it easier to express your affection more easily and make your feelings clear to your partner. (Gosh) Having said that, fiery Mars will continue to make you competitive in sports and teamwork. Take it easy.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Remember to get more rest because you need it. (This need for more sleep will be gone in a few weeks.) Nevertheless, your ambition is strong and you’re accomplishing a lot. Be encouraged to know that everything related to your health as well is everything related to your job and the work that you do will get a marvellous thumbs-up from the universe this week. Mistakes, delays and feelings of hesitation and self-doubt (especially related to your work) will be a thing of the past. This will give you a lift even if you still need to grab some cat naps. Remember to act on any opportunity to travel because you need a change of scenery.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You are still in work mode, which means you’re getting a lot done. You might also be more health conscious than usual (doing regular squats in front of your fridge). The good news is that romance, relations with your kids and everything to do with the arts, socializing with friends, and appreciating the theatre and the entertainment world – all this fun stuff – will get a huge boost of energy! This means that even though you will continue to work hard, you will give yourself time off for good behaviour. You’ll enjoy schmoozing with others. You’ll enjoy playful activities with kids. Sports events and social outings will give you rewarding, happy times. Nice!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

This week continues to be playful. Accept invitations to party and socialize. Sports events, fun outings, children’s activities and anything related to the arts and the entertainment world will be excellent choices. However, you’re also in touch with your own creative talents, which means this is the perfect time to express your artistic side. You don’t have to be a professional. Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Fortunately, you also have a chance to relax quietly at home. This week the good news is that because Mercury retrograde is ending, goofy mistakes, transportation delays and misunderstandings will reduce for your sign. Life will run more smoothly. You will feel more confident. Communications with others will be easier and happier. Not only that, you’ll appreciate the beauty of your everyday surroundings more than usual. Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

But the good news is that this week two planets that have been retrograde in your Money House will now turn direct, and then slowly begin moving forward again relative to planet Earth. Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Today Neptune enters Aries for the first time in your life. (An understatement because the last time Neptune was in Aries was from 1862-1875.) Read on to see how this will affect your next decade. Neptune is inspirational, visionary, romantic, but also full of yearning, self-doubt and susceptible to anything that dissolves in water like alcohol and drugs. Since 2011, Neptune was in dreamy, idealistic, fluid and compassionate Pisces. Now it is in Aries, a sign that is aggressive, pioneering, daring, entitled and strong. This is a big shift! Aries is associated with heroism, which could promote the “worship” of cult-like leaders. However, Aries is also independent. It will rise up and fight for the rights of the individual. “May you live in interesting times,” was actually a Chinese curse.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You might feel the pangs of an identity crisis as Neptune enters your sign. You might question who you are and what you’re doing? You might see that many of the limitations you thought you had, were actually self-imposed. You’re better than you thought you were! Yeah! Expect to be presented (and impressed) with new aspects of yourself. You might also have greater compassion for others. Some of you will choose to take care of a loved one. Gemini (May 21-June 20)

You might become less confident about dealing with your universe. You might “lose faith.” This is a temporary process. Give yourself permission to float through this time of growth and adjustment. Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

You feel rewarded and fulfilled by helping others. And you know that true generosity is giving what is needed. In your future, with Neptune in Aries, you will continue to assist others but you might find yourself in situations almost beyond your control. Things you thought you would never do! Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You like the comfort and reassurance of company. You like to know that someone is “there.” You’re not a loner. As Neptune now moves opposite your sign for the first time in your life (to stay there for over a decade), you will begin to rethink what relationships means to you. This means all relationships – not just romantic or marriage relationships. You will feel a need to establish relationships where you feel a strong sense of trust, especially the trust of having survived ordeals together in the past. Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

With Neptune now in Aries, for the first time in your life, you will rethink the details of your daily world. What you eat. How you sleep. Where you go. How you amuse yourself. Where you work. Basically, you’ll want to improve things so that you are living the best way you can live. This means you might decide to give up certain bad habits. You might want to detox. You might want to eat better. You might want to drink less or give up recreational drugs. This is because you will value everything to do with how you live. You’re going to purge anything that robs your focus on where you want it to be. You might also advocate on behalf of others or work with the homeless or end-of-life situations.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

This is a dreamy, romantic week with new romance and flirtations in the air! Not only that, existing romance will be refreshed with affection. Nevertheless, sober news: At the beginning of the year, I mentioned that Pluto is now in Aquarius for the next 20 years; and the last time this occurred was in the late 1700s during the French and the American Revolutions. This week we have another astrological event to consider: Neptune enters Aries to stay for 14 years. The last time Neptune was in Aries was from 1865 to 1877 – the time of the American Civil War. On a brighter note, Neptune in Aries gave birth to Impressionism, which ultimately led to Surrealism. I think Groucho Marx had a grasp on Surrealism when he said, “Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana.”

Aries (March 21-April 19)

It’s all about you, dear Aries! The Sun is in Aries for the next four weeks. (This happens only once a year.) Plus, Mercury and Venus are retrograde in Aries, which means ex-partners, ex-spouses and friends from the past are popping up in your world. Travel delays, goofy communications and silly errors are happening. Special beauty treatments or efforts to expand your wardrobe might be frustrated or delayed. This week the big news is about Venus. Fair Venus is normally in a sign for three weeks. This week, early Tuesday morning, Venus moves into Aries to stay until March 1. It then goes retrograde and slips backwards into Pisces on March 27. (This means Venus was in Aries for 8 weeks, which is twice as long as usual.) But lo! Venus continues slipping back in Pisces until it turns direct on April 12, after which it moves forward and re-enters Aries on April 30 where it then stays until June 6. Wow! So instead of its usual sojourn of roughly three weeks, Venus will visit Aries for a total of 15 weeks. Venus affects our relationships and our money. Yes, love and money. I read somewhere that studies show that people in the throes of romance wear different clothes. And I sort of see that. But actually, I thought they spent most of the time half naked.

Meanwhile, for the last 18 years, Pluto was in Capricorn, which is a top-down power structure focusing on the physical manifestation of wealth and success. By contrast, Aquarius represents collective power and shared resources. So, this is the beginning of a new shift where people will make demands for the every day person. Since unions already exist, there will be increasing strikes. I’ve thought about striking. I was going to get cards printed. But my kids have left home plus, I was a bad cook.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This is a lovely week. Monday is a productive, high-energy day. Great time to get things done. Meanwhile, Thursday is one of the most romantic nights of the year! Fair Venus will be pumped with Jupiter’s energy, making this a fabulous time to socialize. Great day to fall in love! On Saturday, the 21st, the Winter Solstice will occur. (This is when the Northern Hemisphere tilts farthest away from the sun making it the shortest day of the year and of course – the longest night.) Some people use this as a time to reflect on who they are and where they want to go. They write down their problems and then burn them in a fire to get rid of them. This might entail building a bonfire outside, which sounds like work to me. I think I’ll write down my problems on my phone and then press DELETE.

This is a harmonious week with a few speed bumps in the middle. Monday is laid back and dreamy. Tuesday is fun and joyful! However, Wednesday is brutal and Thursday is questionable. Nevertheless, on Friday, everyone’s happy again and ready to party! Because Mercury is retrograde until December 15, old friends and old flames are back in person or in our dreams.
