The big news this week is fiery Mars moves from fun-loving, breezy Sagittarius into business minded Capricorn. This will shift our focus from parties and socializing to work, career and getting stuff done. The last time Mars was in Capricorn was in January 2024. Actually, this journey of Mars in Capricorn is timely because the holiday season requires not only a light touch of shared joy, laughter and good times – it also requires focus, effort and crossing things off your To Do list. Mars will stay in Capricorn until January 23. I think that hectic times like this remind us of the wisdom of George Burns: “Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city.”

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You’ll feel pulled in two directions this week because three planets will make you want to travel and get outta Dodge. You want to explore and have fun! Ski slopes beckon. Rum and eggnog before a roaring fire. A new romance with someone “different” might be percolating on the back burner. However, the shift of your ruler fiery Mars to sensible, hard-working Capricorn will arouse your ambition, especially if you identify with a particular project you’re doing. Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

I have frequently said that you are financial wizard of the zodiac and it’s true. Be careful as this week begins because an argument with someone about debt, shared property or shared possessions could be nasty. Not only might you be in conflict, there might be confusion (even deceit) in the picture as well. Fortunately, Mercury is opposite you, which will help you to clarify and explain issues with others and discuss difficulties that arise. Aries (March 21-April 19)

At this time, you have a strong concern about financial matters related to shared property and jointly-held possessions, as well as anything to do with inheritances, insurance issues, taxes, debt, wills and estates. (All that fun stuff.) This might also include shared responsibilities. These are not casual topics. How you handle them will lead to an outcome – one way or another – that affects your life and perhaps the lives of those who are close to you. But at the same time, there will be an opposition to Uranus (one of the planets involved in this rare sextile mentioned in All Signs), and Uranus happens to be in one of your Money Houses. This is a wake-up call! You might give more thought to being financially upright, generous and responsible.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

In All Signs above, I mention the rare astrological event that takes place five times between 2025 to 2027. In four of those times, Uranus will be in Gemini. However, this Thursday on the day of the New Moon in Scorpio, Uranus will be in your sign – Taurus. This calls for a rethinking of your closest relationships and partnerships (both professional and personal), as well as your interactions with friends, clubs and organizations. Life is “stirred up” and moving fast because almost half of the major planets are changing signs in the next few months. This is huge. (And some are moving into confrontational Aries.) Good news! This week marks the end of a series of retrogrades that have been creating hiccups, frustrations and delays since the beginning of the year. Fortunately, we will start to feel that life is “all systems go” because Mercury and Venus turn direct this week – and next week, Mars returns to Leo, the sign it was in when it went retrograde in the first week of December last year. Oh yes, delays, setbacks and misunderstandings will be reduced! “Right here in River City!” By midmonth, we’ll be cooking on all six burners. Start making plans about what you want to accomplish for the rest of the year. Jobs? Vacations? Education? A fun escape? Meanwhile, I read that meaningless statistics are up 3.7 percent.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You continue to feel empowered this week because the Sun is in your sign, boosting your energy. This occurs only once a year for four weeks, so make the most of this. Look around you because people and favourable situations are attracted to you more than usual. You might explore a new opportunity, make a deal or do something that’s to your advantage. Please know that you’re at the end of a window of time where you have been letting go of what is no longer relevant in your life. (The last time this occurred was from 1994-1996.) This window began in 2023 and it will be over in June of this year. A new world awaits!

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Continue to play things low-key because at this time of year, your personal year is coming to an end, however, your new year will not begin until the time of your birthday. Therefore, you’re in a time of limbo as it were. Actually, that makes this an excellent time to ponder and think about what you want for your new year ahead. By next week, when Mars moves forward in your House of Communications, you will be mentally charged and more enthusiastic about future plans – trust me. Meanwhile, interactions with younger, artistic people will delight. Relations with those who are close to you are so cozy, a friendship might turn romantic. Woot!

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

This is a lovely, sociable week. For starters, the Sun is in your House of Friendships, which turns your attention toward friends and groups to which you belong. You’ll find it easy to work and cooperate with others. You might share your goals with someone. Meanwhile this week, both Mercury and Venus move forward at the top of your chart promoting your relations with parents, bosses, teachers, VIPs and the police. People see you in favourable terms and likewise, you’re happy to see others as well. (For some of you, a relationship with a boss or an authority figure could become romantic.) The bottom line is that your relations with others are warm and rewarding, and this is a blessing.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You look great in the eyes of others with the Sun at the top of your chart casting you in a flattering spotlight. You can’t lose! It’s magic! (Smoke and mirrors.) The thing to know is that this is happening. This once-a-year phenomena is working for you right now so you might as well use it to your advantage. (Gone in a few weeks.) Meanwhile, this week both Mercury and Venus will move forward in a part of your chart that encourages you to travel and explore opportunities in publishing, the media, or anything to do with higher education, medicine and the law. All of these areas might open up for you in a magical way.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is a tricky time for you. In December, Mars was in your sign, then it went retrograde and slipped back into Cancer in your 12th House. This journey of Mars in that particular House can be frustrating. For example, you might not get credit for what you’re doing, or you might have to stay in the background. There’s a strong chance you feel irritable with others. You might also create the wrong impression and undermine your position. (Unusual for you.) One upside is the workout you’ll get by constantly pulling your foot out of your mouth. The good news is this is over in a few weeks. Meanwhile, gifts, goodies and favours from others will come your way now because financial delays will be a thing of the past. Ka-ching!

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Both Mercury and Venus have been sitting opposite your sign, and both of them have been retrograde. This retrograde influence has not helped your closest relationships and partnerships. The good news is that as of this week, they both start to move forward, which will bring a lighter, happier tone to your relations with those who are closest to you. You’ll have a feeling that past irritations and stagnation are now behind you. In fact, you’ll feel hopeful and happier to be with others. You’ll find it easier to express your affection more easily and make your feelings clear to your partner. Be encouraged to know that everything related to your health as well is everything related to your job and the work that you do will get a marvellous thumbs-up from the universe this week. Mistakes, delays and feelings of hesitation and self-doubt (especially related to your work) will be a thing of the past. This will give you a lift even if you still need to grab some cat naps. Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You are still in work mode, which means you’re getting a lot done. You might also be more health conscious than usual (doing regular squats in front of your fridge). The good news is that romance, relations with your kids and everything to do with the arts, socializing with friends, and appreciating the theatre and the entertainment world – all this fun stuff – will get a huge boost of energy! Today Neptune enters Aries for the first time in your life. (An understatement because the last time Neptune was in Aries was from 1862-1875.) Read on to see how this will affect your next decade. Neptune is inspirational, visionary, romantic, but also full of yearning, self-doubt and susceptible to anything that dissolves in water like alcohol and drugs. Since 2011, Neptune was in dreamy, idealistic, fluid and compassionate Pisces. Now it is in Aries, a sign that is aggressive, pioneering, daring, entitled and strong. This is a big shift! Aries is associated with heroism, which could promote the “worship” of cult-like leaders. However, Aries is also independent. It will rise up and fight for the rights of the individual. “May you live in interesting times,” was actually a Chinese curse.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You might feel the pangs of an identity crisis as Neptune enters your sign. You might question who you are and what you’re doing? You might see that many of the limitations you thought you had, were actually self-imposed. You’re better than you thought you were! Yeah! Expect to be presented (and impressed) with new aspects of yourself. You might also have greater compassion for others. Some of you will choose to take care of a loved one. Taurus (April 20-May 20)

You might become less concerned about being successful in a material way because you want to elevate what your life means in spiritual terms. For example, do you feel inwardly fulfilled? Gemini (May 21-June 20)

You might become less confident about dealing with your universe. You might “lose faith.” This is a temporary process. Give yourself permission to float through this time of growth and adjustment. With Neptune now in Aries, for the first time in your life, you will rethink the details of your daily world. What you eat. How you sleep. Where you go. How you amuse yourself. Where you work. Basically, you’ll want to improve things so that you are living the best way you can live. This means you might decide to give up certain bad habits. You might want to detox.
